    I had high expectations, but I am fully satisfied.

    Perhaps my expectations were too high due to the five-star rating, as a few things caught my attention... The disposable slippers were quite thin, making me think, "Is this really five-star?" The strong smell of disinfectant in the bathroom was also a bit concerning. Both pillows were too soft for my liking; it would have been nice if one was firmer. Additionally, the toilet door lock didn’t work properly and remained slightly open, so I had to hold it with my foot while using it. That said, the bench seat by the window was absolutely fantastic. I would consider revisiting just for that window area. We stayed as a group of three, and the extra bed didn’t feel like an afterthought—it was very comfortable. Positioned by the window, it became a prime spot where we could enjoy the view even while lying down. The staff members greeted us with warm smiles and attentive care paired with youthful energy—truly five-star service for which we are deeply grateful!

    The night view is stunning.

    Recently, I have been using pier8 more often, but after a few years, I stayed here again. It has its own unique charm compared to pier8, and the night view is always breathtaking. The Ferris wheel is impressive, and the scenery feels like it encapsulates all the best parts of Minato Mirai. I also love the room design inspired by the ocean. However, as it is a historic Hotel, some areas like plumbing feel outdated. Additionally, in the Room I stayed in this time, there was an unsettling noise every time a nearby door opened or closed. (Perhaps it was not one of the more popular Rooms since I made a last-minute Reservation just days before?) Despite some minor concerns, the price was reasonable and it's very family-friendly—making it a highly satisfying Hotel overall. Even as someone who lives nearby, this Hotel has enough charm to make me want to stay regularly!

    Information about the Club Lounge

    This was my favorite hotel in Minato Mirai. However, during my stay after five months, I was disappointed to find that the food presentation at the Club Lounge had changed significantly. The Club Lounge at this hotel is known for its longer cocktail hours and a wide variety of food compared to other accommodations, which I believe has attracted many fans. This time, however, during cocktail hour, apart from a plate with nine types of hors d'oeuvres served individually per person, there were only cheese and baguette, and some fruit. (I read in a review that soup was available on some days, but it wasn’t offered during my stay.) Pizza might have been baked occasionally; however, I didn’t get the chance to try it. Now I understand why the lounge seemed so empty compared to before—there were only hors d'oeuvres, cheese, and fruit available. For first-time visitors to this accommodation, they might think this is normal; however, those who have experienced previous cocktail hours and look forward to them may be surprised by the change. That’s why I wanted to share this information here. I hope the hotel comments back saying something like "It just happened that there was less food on that particular day."

    Stay for a family birthday celebration

    We sincerely appreciate your kind assistance in discussing the surprise gift in advance. On the day, we were very grateful for the help of all the room service staff. The gift was very well received and brought great joy. We love this room, especially the comfortable sofa by the window, which our whole family enjoys. We look forward to visiting again soon with great anticipation.

    I had a great time, thank you very much. However, when I received a discount coupon at the front desk, I was told it could be used for purchasing cakes next to the front desk. But when I presented it during purchase, I was told it couldn't be used there. I understand such mistakes can happen and decided to buy the cake anyway. However, I was shocked when the male staff member at the cake shop said he would "deal with" whoever made that mistake later. There's no need for such extreme comments, and it made me sad to think this is the level of service at this Hotel.

    Simplified front desk procedures and improved luggage storage accuracy

    Overall, this is an international Hotel with good qualities, but I was surprised by the inefficiency at the front desk. While I understand their effort to provide clear and polite service to each guest, it took too much time, causing long lines and a lack of composure among staff during busy times. This inefficiency led to delays. Having observed congestion management in university hospital outpatient departments, I believe that if staff and management discuss issues thoroughly and work on improvements step by step, significant progress can be made. Additionally, implementing a system where luggage is checked by multiple staff members rather than relying on one person could ensure that all items are delivered accurately to the Room without missing pieces like jackets. This would greatly reduce unnecessary rework and lead to noticeable service improvements.

    We enjoyed a relaxing view of the fireworks at the Port Opening Festival.

    As a Yokohama resident, I booked a high-floor Harbor View room at the Hotel, which is about a 15-minute drive away, to watch the fireworks of the Yokohama Port Opening Festival on June 2. The fireworks in front of Rinko Park were visible right from the room, offering an impressive and thrilling experience. The Facility had some signs of age but no functional issues. The staff provided prompt and efficient service. I reserved two rooms next to each other, and they kindly arranged for them to be connecting rooms. My daughter used the spa, which offered special menus for guests that seemed like a great value. I would love to stay here again during future fireworks festivals.

    A very beautiful Hotel.

    I stayed here for work this time. Although I arrived late, the male staff member who assisted me was very courteous, making my stay pleasant. Perhaps due to the location, there were no foreign guests with poor manners, creating a very comfortable environment.

    Club Lounge

    Afternoon tea and cocktail time services are excellent. Since I usually skip dinner, the appetizers served during cocktail time are more than satisfying for the evening. The made-to-order dishes at breakfast could be improved with better ingredients to enhance the overall experience. I plan to visit again in autumn. Overall, the service is outstanding.

    Luxury Night with Yokohama's Sea and Nightscape

    An impressive crescent-shaped hotel in Yokohama. I stayed with club lounge access. During check-in, I enjoyed afternoon tea at the club lounge. The luxurious set included a three-tiered cake stand and mini sandwiches, with a variety of self-service drinks such as coffee, tea, and fresh juice. I had a relaxing café time in the lounge with a great view. Breakfast was also served here, featuring a buffet-style selection of salads, appetizers, fruits, and bread along with main dishes to choose from. The room had an excellent view where I enjoyed a nightcap while admiring Yokohama's nightscape. It was close by yet felt like a luxurious getaway during Golden Week!

    Perfect for events at Pacifico Yokohama.

    We stayed at the accommodation due to participating in an exhibition at Pacifico Yokohama with overseas guests. The location and service are always satisfying. Finding a place for business dinners is never an issue, and we appreciate the efficiency and reduced physical strain, which is why we use this accommodation every year. This time, when we lost our parking ticket during a multiple night stay, the staff kindly assisted us. Despite it being a busy morning, the reception staff went out of their way to help us, which was truly commendable. After three days of events that left us exhausted, such excellent service lifted our spirits and allowed us to successfully complete the final day of the exhibition. Thank you very much!

    System Down

    On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the final day of the holiday, we were unfortunately affected by a system outage (display only) and had to stand in line for 1 hour and 30 minutes to check in without any explanation. When we finally entered the Room, the Wi-Fi was not working. After calling for assistance, we were informed that there was also a system issue and were given an alternative password. This information should have been provided at check-in! Frustrated, I ended up raising my voice on the call. As a result, we missed our dinner plans outside and had no choice but to dine within the Hotel.

    What's going on? Yokohama's prestigious hotel turns into a business hotel.

    It's been a while since my last stay at Yokohama Grand InterContinental. I used to visit occasionally before COVID, and while it was somewhat dated, it had its charm. I’m shocked to see how much it has declined. Is this the result of focusing entirely on inbound tourism? This wasn’t even the cheapest Room available. The facilities are poorly maintained, with worn-out guides in the Room and frayed towels everywhere. Amenities are limited, and the hairdryer reeks of something burnt. While they might bring replacements if requested, the atmosphere is so disappointing that I didn’t even feel like asking—this feels more like a rundown business hotel. Actually, modern business hotels might be better. The worst part was the breakfast buffet. The variety and quality were so disappointing compared to before—no decent cold cuts available, orange juice downgraded from fresh to concentrate, and even the coffee tasted bad. The only positive note was their internal phone service; that level of hospitality should not be forgotten. Next time, I’ll likely choose a neighboring Hotel instead. While I can’t recommend this place or see myself returning anytime soon, as someone who loves this Hotel deeply, I hope for its revival in the future.

    I had a wonderful accommodation experience.

    The gentleman who assisted us during check-in was absolutely amazing. His service brought a smile to our faces and made us feel excited about the stay ahead. It seems he read the notes in the Reservation, as we were given a corner Room on an upper floor—thank you so much for that! We would love to stay again. Truly an exceptional Hotel.

    Check-in took too long, which was disappointing.

    This time, I stayed in a room with an ocean view and fully enjoyed the scenery. However, it took an hour and a half to check in, which has never happened before, so that was very disappointing. I hope the front desk procedures can be improved for smoother processing.

    The General Manager's courteous service

    I often stay at various Hotels, but this was my first time staying here, and I was looking forward to it. This time, there was a system error that caused a double booking for the same Room number. However, the General Manager remembered me even at checkout and greeted me politely. I thought it was truly professional service. Hospitality is challenging work. I would love to stay here again!

    The power supply

    I stayed for work this time, but the desk's power outlet was not compatible with Japanese plugs, which made it inconvenient for computer work. I would appreciate it if this could be improved. Other than that, I slept well and had no complaints.

    Consistently satisfying as always, this is my go-to accommodation when staying in Minato Mirai. Looking forward to staying again. Personally, I found the washroom space a bit small... but it can't be helped.

    Thank you for the wonderful time.

    When the car door opened, we were greeted with a wonderful smile and "Welcome, ○○!"—such a delightful moment! The room was relaxing and offered a soothing view. We enjoyed dinner at "Karyu" and had breakfast in-room, which tasted as if the chef had prepared it right before us. During our stay, we made our next Reservation. Thank you for an amazing Hotel stay!

    A luxurious Hotel.

    Stayed on the city side. The Ferris wheel is right in front, and the night view is beautiful. The room is spacious, clean, and well-maintained with no issues. The bath unit is also large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and tastes great.

    This time, we stayed in one room with two adults and two children to celebrate a middle school graduation and a kindergarten graduation. Since the kindergarten child was under Child Sharing Existing Bedding, no slippers or children's toothbrushes were provided. We requested a toothbrush and received one, but it seems that items are generally not provided for children under Child Sharing Existing Bedding.

    I stayed here to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was a short trip, just an hour from home, but watching sports on TV in a different setting and relaxing while enjoying the night view made for wonderful memories.

    I stayed at the accommodation to attend a live event at Billboard Yokohama. This time, I stayed on the club floor. Both the afternoon tea and cocktail time were very fulfilling, and even though it was between attending the live event, I was able to enjoy it very much.     Favorite Hotel

    I used to stay frequently at this hotel I love, but for a while, my impression of it changed. This time, I nervously stayed again after a long time and was relieved to find it had returned to being the comfortable hotel I remember. I was able to fully enjoy the Diamond Member benefits and even received a room upgrade. The room service was delicious! I look forward to visiting again soon to relax and enjoy the expansive view of Yokohama's sea from the window.

    After two years, we returned to Yokohama Conti, and it was as excellent as ever. The service of greeting us by name the moment the car door opened was truly pleasant. There are now more Japanese options available for breakfast.

    It was a wonderful birthday.

    Arriving early at the Hotel, I decided to leave my luggage and explore the area until check-in. However, the front desk staff informed me that my Room was already prepared and allowed me to check in much earlier than expected. To my surprise, they also upgraded me to the top floor as a birthday treat and even gave me a financier as a gift. Since it was a cold day, I chose to relax in my Room instead of sightseeing. This also allowed me to enjoy the afternoon tea time starting at 2 PM earlier than planned, which made me very happy. Every sweet treat was delicious, especially the cocoa scones. The food during cocktail time was excellent as well. Having visited several club floors of Hotels in Yokohama before, I believe this one stands out as the best—particularly their freshly baked pizza! Additionally, using IKYU.com’s Diamond Member benefits for late check-out and Hotel credit added great value to my stay. I would love to visit again!
