    Stayed at the dream Hotel.

    My first visit to the InterContinental was for a friend's wedding. Close to the sea with a great view, a spacious lobby, and a luxurious atmosphere, I always dreamed of staying at such a Hotel! The reception staff provided clear and polite explanations, and I smoothly reached my Room. Before dinner, I enjoyed swimming in the pool and admiring the Yokohama sea from the balcony. The buffet featured a meat festival, offering various cuts of meat dishes and live seafood cooking, which I thoroughly enjoyed! In the Hotel lobby, I found the original model of the "Guiding Goddess" statue, the symbol of the InterContinental. I was delighted to learn why it was there! The restaurant and lounge had many sea-related names, like "Starboard," making it a paradise for sea lovers. The next morning, I enjoyed a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes for breakfast. Since I planned to explore Yokohama, the Hotel kindly stored my luggage, allowing me to enjoy my day worry-free. This Hotel is comfortable in every way, and I would love to stay here again.     Family Package

    Our family enjoyed the Family Package during our stay. Amenities for children were provided, and the extra bed was reportedly very comfortable. Although a typhoon occurred during our stay, making it impossible to enjoy the view from the window on one of the two days, we received tickets to Anitouch Minatomirai and had a great time indoors despite the rain. The meals were delicious, and everyone in our group was very satisfied.

    It was excellent.

    We were upgraded and enjoyed a relaxing 2-night stay. The room service meals and the breakfast on the first floor were very delicious. The staff providing room service always shared information about Minato Mirai and the Hotel, showcasing exceptional hospitality unique to high-class hotels, which left us deeply impressed. The only slight disappointment was that at Nadaman's breakfast venue, perhaps because it was past 9 AM, the staff seemed focused on cleaning up, and we couldn't request a tea refill. This stood out because everything else—other restaurants, the front desk—was absolutely excellent. The parking fees were also very reasonable. Watching Asuka II's arrival and departure, fireworks festivals, hot air balloons, and the Ferris wheel all became wonderful memories for us. We would love to stay again!

    I had to wait a long...

    I had to wait a long time at check-in. Despite being the same counter for check-in and check-out, priority was given to those checking out. Business Hotels seem more advanced in DX, offering a smoother and cleaner experience. The lobby smelled like old dusty carpet, which almost made me sneeze.

    I would like to stay here again.

    There were many hairs stuck on the bathroom wall, which was disappointing. The mirror also looked very dirty when fogged up. However, everything else was very clean, and the Byredo toiletries were excellent. For dinner, we chose the buffet at Ocean Terrace, and it was quite delicious. I really liked the bed sheets; the firm mattress made it easy to turn over and helped me feel well-rested. When I called the front desk, the staff who answered might not have been very pleasant, but I’ll keep my expectations reasonable.

    Guidance

    I had always admired the iconic exterior of this hotel in Yokohama Minato Mirai and wanted to stay here, and my wish finally came true. The interior was luxurious, and I enjoyed a wonderful time feeling extraordinary as I gazed at the cityscape, sea, and sky from the guest room. Before arriving, we strolled around the area near the hotel and admired its exterior from Megami Bridge. My husband noticed a statue at the top of the hotel. The statue "Michibiki" symbolizes prayers for Yokohama's prosperity and world peace. The hotel's exterior is designed in a sleek shape inspired by a yacht's sail. It was an elegant space with high-level hospitality that made for a satisfying experience. Thank you very much!

    I stayed in a Premiu...

    I stayed in a Premium Harbor View Room for a Multiple Night Stay. The room had a shower booth, which was very convenient. The window area was equipped with cushions, making it perfect for sitting and enjoying the view outside. There is also a small ventilation window that can be opened, allowing you to hear the sounds from outside and feel as if you're sitting outdoors while staying cool indoors. When closed, almost no noise comes through. While the furniture and bathtub were not new, the room was clean, and I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and ever-changing harbor scenery. The refrigerator was empty, so I could store anything I liked inside. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and elegant. Being adjacent to a shopping mall and subway station made it easy to move around regardless of the weather. Additionally, I enjoyed taking light walks during cooler hours at Rinko Park right below the hotel.

    The rooms and facilities may feel a bit dated, but the hospitality of the staff was excellent, making for a comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Thank you very much!

    The facility had noticeable defects, and the cleanliness of the supplies and amenities was lacking. Additionally, the poor operation during check-in and check-out was concerning. If you stay here expecting the InterContinental standard, you may find a significant gap and feel disappointed.

    For my mother's birthday

    I have stayed here more than 30 times. It takes about an hour from my home, and I use this accommodation 2-3 times a year just to stay at the InterContinental. This time, I stayed as a gift for my parents and my mother, who celebrated her birthday last week. I've been giving this gift for about five years now, and they look forward to it every year. We stayed on the 21st floor this time, but there were some issues such as being unable to register for Wi-Fi despite multiple attempts and the TV losing connection midway. These weren't major problems since we didn't use them much, but I hope these can be inspected for future guests. Next time, we plan to visit with our family during the "Yoru no Yo" season. Looking forward to staying again!

    The location is excellent.

    This iconic sail-shaped hotel, familiar to me as someone born and raised in Yokohama, was a place I had never stayed at before since I live in the city. For the first time, my family and I stayed here with our elementary school-aged child. After having dinner in Chinatown, we planned to arrive at night, so we chose a high-floor room with a view of the Ferris wheel to enjoy the city’s nightscape. As soon as we entered the room, my child exclaimed with excitement, "Wow! The Ferris wheel!" and ran to the window. I also enjoyed watching the changing scenery of the city, sea, and sky from midnight until dawn. The front desk staff provided smooth service; our room was clean and well-maintained. When calling reception, they addressed us by name which gave us a sense of reassurance. Everything we requested was delivered promptly with a smile—absolutely perfect service. The amenities were more than sufficient; both the minibar in the fridge and coffee supplies in our room met all our needs perfectly. We were thoroughly satisfied!

    Club lounge offerings have been updated.

    I have been a fan since the Club Lounge was an Italian restaurant. I still remember the amazing food offerings from the previous Club Lounge, such as freshly baked pizza, and I took a day off specifically to enjoy this visit. At check-in, I was informed that during cocktail time, only hors d'oeuvres would be served, which gave me a bad feeling. Unfortunately, it had changed to serving one plate each of hot and cold meals. Although it was explained that the dishes were crafted by skilled chefs, the offerings like vegetable sticks and pickles felt like a significant downgrade compared to before. For example, at InterContinental in Takeshiba, cold meals like salads are still provided on a buffet table while hot meals are served individually—this approach offers more satisfaction. With so many Hotel options available in Yokohama area, I feel like one major reason for choosing this place has been lost. I sincerely hope they will bring back the previous offerings in the future. (On another note—whether fortunately or unfortunately—the Club Lounge was very quiet during my visit, allowing me to spend time peacefully.)

    Thank you for providing wonderful Rooms every time. My daughter and her family living in NY were very pleased. We look forward to staying again. This time, we used two Rooms: my daughter and the 11-year-old stayed on the ocean side, while I stayed with the 8-year-old on the Ferris wheel side.

    Thank you for always providing a relaxing time. This time, due to an event, the surrounding roads were congested, and there was a long queue of hundreds of cars waiting for parking. Amidst this, two female staff members coordinated efficiently and guided the accommodation guests' cars to the hotel drop-off area. In the intense heat, their efforts were truly commendable and showcased exceptional hospitality. Since our room was ready earlier than expected, we were able to check in slightly ahead of schedule, which was greatly appreciated as we were tired. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner through room service; everything was delicious. Thanks to this stay, we feel refreshed and ready to work hard again starting tomorrow! Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    Felt the future.

    The staff were all pleasant and provided satisfactory service. With many young staff members, it feels promising for the future. Although the Facility itself was old, it was well-maintained and clean, making for a comfortable stay. I would like to use this place again if I have another opportunity to stay in Yokohama.

    An Excellent French Dinner & Staycation

    I stayed overnight to enjoy a leisurely French dinner. The 2nd-floor restaurant had a wonderful French grand-mansion-style interior, and the French course was excellent. I was also happy to receive a single rose as a gift when leaving. The Hotel was on the 24th floor on the ocean side, with great views all day long, and the window-side nook-like bench seat was surprisingly comfortable. The shampoo smelled great, and the amenities were easy to use. Since it’s summer, I hope there will be a Plan that includes pool access so we can enjoy it even more. The pillow was too soft, and I noticed a slight odor in the Room, but the air purifier helped. I have many memories at Yokohama InterContinental, and this stay became another wonderful one.

    A wonderful Hotel with stunning views of the sea, sky, and vibrant cityscape.

    This was my first stay, and I was extremely satisfied with the wonderful experience. I am grateful to have finally had the opportunity to stay at this Hotel, which I have introduced to many customers through the travel industry since your opening. One thing I noticed was the cleanliness around the water facilities (debris in the washbasin drain), but otherwise I was able to spend my time comfortably. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

    Used for a proposal: Excellent service.

    We were upgraded on the day from the originally reserved room to a panoramic view room. Since it was reserved for a proposal, everything, including coordination with a partnered florist for surprise arrangements, was handled smoothly. The view from the room, furnishings, dinner, and breakfast all provided the best service we have ever experienced. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I had always wanted to stay at this striking hotel, and my wish finally came true. Every staff member greeted us warmly, which was especially appreciated as I was with a young child. The interior was impressively luxurious and impeccably maintained. For breakfast, I found the Japanese and Chinese dishes more delicious than the Western options. With a stunning ocean view, even a one-night stay was enough to feel refreshed. This is a hotel I would love to stay at again.

    I stayed at the iconic Hotel in Yokohama Minato Mirai, drawn by its stunning exterior. Since I booked rooms in different categories through separate sites, there was a slight delay during check-in on the first day. The room's refrigerator was a paid bar type, which made it difficult to store personal items like bottled drinks. For breakfast, I lined up before 7 AM. On the first day, I enjoyed "Nadaman" Japanese set meal where you could choose between fish or meat—both were incredibly delicious. On the second day, I opted for the breakfast buffet and found both Japanese and Western options to be abundant with a wide variety of choices that made dining enjoyable. It would have been even better if there were takeaway cups available in the room. The view from my room wasn’t very different due to its location; however, both harbor and city views were beautiful and impressive. At night, since there wasn’t a convenience store inside the Hotel as informed by the front desk staff, I went out searching for one nearby but couldn’t find it easily until using my smartphone navigation system to locate it successfully.

    Positive Points: - The bell staff provided very courteous guidance. - The foreign staff were polite and welcoming with their smiles. - Room cleaning was excellent. Negative Points: - Instructions for using the shower and setting the alarm clock were unclear, with insufficient explanations. - Bathroom wall tiles were cracked. - The Japanese check-in staff spoke quickly and mechanically, without a smile, even though I was the only guest present, which felt cold and unwelcoming. - The bar lounge opened late and closed early, which is disappointing for a bar. Overall Review: - While this visit was for business purposes and the convenience of moving from the conference center was appreciated, there are few other advantages to highlight. - Overall, foreign staff demonstrated more hospitality compared to Japanese staff; perhaps a reassignment of roles should be considered.

    The view from the Room was great, and although I usually eat at the restaurant, I used room service this time. The service was excellent, the staff were kind, and the food I ordered was delicious. Thank you very much.

    Used only once a year.

    During my previous stay, the lamp by the window did not work. This time, on the second night, the air conditioner stopped functioning. Since I returned late at night after being out, I didn’t notice it wasn’t working properly and went to sleep, only to wake up drenched in sweat. A staff member came to check but couldn’t fix it and brought a fan instead. Considering the high accommodation fee during the weekend, this response was very disappointing. Proper room maintenance is essential. At checkout, there wasn’t even an apology; instead, I was simply asked if I had used the refrigerator and told that everything was complete if not—I was left speechless.

    ① At check-in, I was asked if I preferred a "city-side" room, which confused me. However, I did not correct them and proceeded to the room. ② The interior of the accommodation felt stuffy as if the air conditioning was not functioning properly. ③ Upon entering the room, I tried to place my store-bought water in the refrigerator but found it completely filled with paid beverages. Additionally, there were two bottles of water on the desk, but it was unclear whether they were complimentary or charged. ④ For Wi-Fi access, I checked the materials on the desk but found that registration required filling in details like name, address, and email—making it unnecessarily complicated. ⑤ In preparation for going out in the evening, I attempted to charge my smartphone only to discover later that it had not charged due to a non-functional power outlet. ⑥ The amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were standard quality. ⑦ Adjusting the air conditioning was challenging; despite setting a low temperature, the room did not cool down sufficiently and maintaining comfort was difficult. ⑧ When contacting reception about confirming whether water was complimentary and reporting issues with outlets, no follow-up or acknowledgment occurred at checkout—a surprising oversight. Although this hotel has long been one I've admired, considering its price point compared to my experience during this stay left me disappointed overall.
