One Step Closer to Satisfaction
At the end of the year, we stayed on the Sky Comfort Floor, 8th floor, as a family of four. The fourth sofa bed was partially hard like a wooden board, but when we consulted with the staff, they promptly checked and kindly moved us to a room on the 6th floor of the Sky Comfort Floor. Their response was excellent. However, perhaps due to it being a busy time at year-end and a sudden change, the room on the 6th floor was still set up for two people. We had to make multiple trips ourselves to bring amenities and supplies from our original room on the 8th floor, which took time and was slightly disappointing.

It was great.
The facility may be a bit old, but the room is spacious and clean, the buffet offers a wide variety of options, and there are plenty of amenities available. I think it's a great accommodation, and I would like to visit again. The staff on the shuttle bus were also very kind. The bath was nice as well; however, I felt that the temperature in the women's bath could have been a bit hotter. It was slightly disappointing that the shower stopped after dispensing a certain amount (this didn’t seem to be an issue in the men's bath—perhaps it depends on the location of the faucet). The changing room was cold, which was probably my biggest discomfort. Overall though, I think this is an excellent accommodation making great efforts!

Both the Onsen and the Hotel are satisfying.
The room we stayed in was a twin, but the beds were very large and comfortable, allowing for a relaxing sleep. However, there were few outlets in the room, and I could only find one. The meals were served buffet-style in a spacious dining area that never felt crowded. There was a wide variety of dishes available at the venue, all of which were delicious. The Bûche de Noël at the dessert corner was particularly tasty (likely because it was Christmas). The handmade omelets at breakfast were also delightful. The bath is located in a separate building from the accommodation, so you need to take an elevator up or down and walk through some hallways to get there. The parking lot is located behind the hotel, requiring some walking after parking your car. It can be challenging if it's raining or snowing; when we visited during snowy weather, our windshield froze over, which made things quite difficult.

How about staying for just one night?
We stayed for a total of 2 nights by booking another room the day before for a Multiple Night Stay. - Amenities It was surprising that there were no socks provided in this Onsen area. Since the slippers were not disposable, it would have been nice to have socks available. There was no lotion or similar items provided in the room, even in the higher-priced rooms with semi-open-air baths. The shampoo and conditioner were Mikimoto, and the hairdryer was Dyson, but no socks or lotion made it disappointing. The yukata felt uncomfortable to relax in, which was a downside. Instead of offering more types of yukata to choose from, I would prefer if they provided samue or pajamas. While it's convenient to wear yukata for meals, they can be cold and inconvenient as they come undone easily; children also tend to get food on their sleeves. The pillow was memory foam and very comfortable. - Bath The bath area was spacious and seemed well-maintained. There are several private baths available but at a slightly high price point. It’s unfortunate that the stream-view bath closes at 11 PM; it would be great if it stayed open later. On the other hand, there is a large public bath open until 1 AM but without an open-air option. Having to bring towels from your room is also inconvenient. The private outdoor bath attached to our room should be described as "semi-open-air" due to its design—people passing by could see inside unless covered up completely, making it feel like just an outdoor bath instead of something special where you can enjoy stargazing while bathing under the sky (which would have been lovely). However, its spaciousness allowed our family to bathe together comfortably. - Meals The buffet offered many options with sections catering specifically for babies' baby food and small children—a thoughtful Facility for families with kids! However, having exactly the same menu for both breakfast and dinner over two nights was disappointing despite its variety; I wanted smaller portions so I could try different dishes little by little but when asking staff at steak station whether only one piece could serve me instead being told “self-service applies” left impression lacking flexibility warmth expected hospitality settings especially since plates preloaded contained three four slices risking wastefulness unconsumed leftovers otherwise soft cream dessert availability morning evening delighted though occasional entry waiting times understandable lounge wine sake tasting setup excellent concept allowing sampling quantities priced starting ¥250/25cc cashless card system checkout seamless convenience appreciated overall experience enhanced significantly. - Staff Service Except steak station personnel whose response came across indifferent rest team members displayed commendable professionalism attentiveness throughout stay ensuring pleasant interactions guests alike!

Is everything satisfactory?
Everything is excellent... but as a guest, the high popularity and crowd can be a bit of a drawback.

The open-air bath is excellent.
I made a reservation at a hotel along the mountain stream to enjoy the onsen and buffet-style meals. The outdoor bath by the stream was excellent, especially "Shingen's Hidden Onsen," which offered a great view of the stream. The next morning, the outdoor baths switched between men and women, so I tried another one, but I still preferred the one closer to the stream from the previous day. Dinner was buffet-style; after choosing my seat, I selected my favorite dishes myself. The steak was only two slices but made with delicious beef. The tempura was freshly fried and served hot, which was delightful. However, since it’s not near the sea, the sushi wasn’t particularly impressive. What stood out were desserts like "Yatsugatake Cheesecake," "Yatsugatake Soft Serve Ice Cream," and pudding—they were all delicious! Enjoying onsen while taking in scenic views or strolling around is an ideal way to spend your time here!

We had a wonderful family trip!
We stayed with our 5-year-old and 1-year-old children. The kids' park and buffet were well-equipped for children, which was fantastic! All the staff were kind and attentive, making our stay very pleasant. The meals were delicious, allowing us to enjoy them at a relaxed pace, and the unlimited soft-serve ice cream delighted our kids. We would love to stay here again!

Smiles are truly important!
Stayed in a renovated Room, but it felt oddly cheap. The windows were still old, which was a bit disappointing. Even more disappointing was the staff—they seemed gloomy and not enjoying their work. From the guides to the front desk and live kitchen staff at dinner, no one worked with a smile. Disappointing! The taste of the food also felt below average overall—disappointing experience!

Onsen is amazing!
The Onsen was excellent. However, the parking lot was a bit far. Dinner was close to satisfying but not quite there. If the meals were more satisfying, I would want to visit every year!

Reviews
The first impression of the accommodation is average, the room is not great for the price, meals have a wide variety (buffet) but no main dish, ordinary hot spring quality, sauna room boards are worn out and unsafe, mint sauna is ineffective and feels like catching a cold, smoking room is dirty with no regular cleaning.

Very satisfied!
Personally, it was a good hotel. The price felt a bit high, but overall, I was satisfied! It seemed like a trendy hotel aimed at families with kids on social media. Maybe it's run by a major company? So, I feel like it might not appeal to frequent travelers who know high-quality accommodations or wealthy guests. Good points: - The foreign staff and restaurant staff were very kind. - The facility was well-equipped, making it enjoyable to stay indoors for a whole day. - The bath was nice (though the water had stopped). - The buffet meals were delicious, used local ingredients, and were fun to choose from. Bad points: - Despite costing nearly 30,000 yen per adult, the room was as small and unpleasant as a local business hotel. - Despite costing nearly 30,000 yen per adult, there was an unsightly area like a garbage disposal zone along the path from the parking lot used by guests. - The bath was in a separate building and quite far, yet guests had to bring towels from their room, which was inconvenient.

It was excellent.
I stayed in the Baby Deluxe Room. The reviews had both positive and negative comments, but I personally only experienced the good aspects. I was very satisfied with the room, meals, onsen, and facilities. The only minor issue was carrying luggage up the stairs at the entrance and to the room, which can be a bit challenging when you have children. However, hotel staff kindly helped carry our luggage up the stairs, which was a great help. The kids' park inside the hotel was also a big hit with my children; they had so much fun playing there. The room was very spacious, allowing our family to relax and unwind together comfortably. It’s definitely a hotel I’d like to visit again!

There were both positive and negative aspects.
The stay was inspired by a TV feature, and I spent 1 night and 2 days here. My first impression of the accommodation is that it had both positive and negative aspects. Below is a summary: ● Positive Aspects - The temperature was cool (nearly 10 degrees lower compared to urban areas, making it comfortable). - The internet speed within the facility was fast, with no congestion at any time (upload and download speeds were both around 200–300 Mbps, ideal for working remotely). - All staff members I interacted with provided polite service. - Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, creatively incorporating local vegetables into the menu. ● Negative Aspects - Guests in the bath area (a group of young people) were noisy in both male and female baths. Additionally, there was fear of being photographed as someone pointed their smartphone towards me in the female bath. → The hotel could address this by increasing patrols or other measures. I stayed for an hour but did not see any staff during that time. From my experience at other onsen ryokans, staff are usually seen at least once during an hour-long visit to the bath area. - The shampoo provided in the bath area was "the type often used in traditional ryokans." → Since DHC products were available in rooms, it would be nice if some DHC options could also be placed in the bath area. - The breakfast venue was extremely crowded; I had to wait nearly 20 minutes from check-in to being seated. → Although we were informed about potential crowding during check-in, this level of waiting time exceeded expectations... If such congestion is common practice here, measures should be taken by the hotel: - For example: Allow guests to reserve specific times for breakfast upon check-in (as done at other hotels where I've experienced reservations made every 30 minutes). - Expand seating capacity or limit menu items to reduce crowding. - Waiting nearly 20 minutes during precious morning hours is quite a drawback; many guests waiting nearby expressed frustration saying they "would never return." Additionally: It would be more convenient if towels were readily available at the bath area instead of requiring guests to bring them from their rooms. As a summer retreat destination, this place has great potential; however, unless these negative aspects are addressed effectively, one might consider staying elsewhere next time.

I would consider staying again if the price were a bit lower.
We visited the Hotel as a family-friendly destination. The children were so delighted that one night and two days didn't feel enough, and they are already asking to go back. From an adult perspective, there were some disappointing aspects considering the price, such as water dripping from the air conditioner in the Room and the shared toilet being clogged in the morning, making it unusable.

Enjoy summer with your children.
I stayed with my eldest son, who is in early elementary school, and my younger son, who is in preschool. Both of them are between 100-120 cm tall, so they were able to enjoy the athletic activities in the kids' playroom and were very excited. It seemed that many families used the playroom to pass time before check-in, as it got fairly crowded from around 2 PM. The baths allowed us to choose which one to go to, making it a fun experience for the kids. While there were some signs of aging in the building, the staff provided attentive service, and we had an enjoyable family trip overall.

Perfect for summer trips with three generations of family
We enjoyed the kids' room, game center, onsen, and private bath! The staff at this hotel provided excellent and pleasant service. It was our first trip with four people—my parents, my 2-year-old child, and me—and it turned out to be a trip that satisfied everyone! What left an impression on us: - When my child started doodling on the check-in paper at the front desk, they kindly handed over a memo pad for drawing. - Staff members complimented my child’s Anpanman plush toy as we passed by. - When we requested a private bath at the front desk and mentioned having a child with us, they quickly prepared baby supplies for us. The hospitality here is truly remarkable. Staying with children often comes with worries about causing inconvenience to others, but this hotel made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay without any concerns! We stayed for two nights but wished we could have stayed longer—it’s such a wonderful hotel! My father loved the meals; my mother enjoyed the onsen; I appreciated their hospitality; and my child adored the kids' park! We would love to stay here again if given another opportunity.

Fishing was a great ...
Fishing was a great experience for the kids. Since reservations were fully booked, we had to choose a later time and could only have grilled fish instead of fried fish for dinner. The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, including a kids' corner, which was very popular with our family! The riverside open-air bath was also beautiful at night.

It was a beautiful Hotel.
The facility was clean, and the bath had a great view. However, I felt that the long wait time for the buffet should be reconsidered systemically. It would be appreciated if methods such as waiting in the Room and being called in order could be implemented to avoid long waits in the hallway. I am grateful for the flexible response of the person managing the buffet. I look forward to staying again if I have another opportunity.

Delicious buffet!
I chose a high-altitude hotel to help my elderly mother escape the heat of Tokyo and relax in a cooler environment. Therefore, I am writing this review from the perspective of how suitable it was for elderly guests. As mentioned in other reviews, the parking lot is far from the entrance. However, staff kindly offered to take our luggage at the entrance, which was very helpful. My mother waited comfortably in the lobby while I parked the car. The path from the parking lot to the entrance is quite uneven, so I recommend that those with mobility concerns get dropped off at the entrance. We stayed on a spacious Sky Comfort Floor on the 8th floor. The larger rooms are located at one end of each floor, requiring some walking after exiting the elevator. The room was clean and spacious with large beds that were very comfortable. The water in the sink was refreshingly cold, and chilled Tateshina water was provided in the refrigerator. I used only indoor baths at their onsen facilities. Both changing rooms and washing areas were clean, with non-slippery floors that felt safe for elderly guests. Meals were served buffet-style—a key reason we chose this hotel as portion sizes could be adjusted individually. There was an extensive variety including Japanese (tempura, sushi), Western (roast beef), Chinese (delicious mini pork buns), and even unique pizzas like apple with gorgonzola cheese. Desserts were also plentiful but served in small portions so you could try many types—an appreciated touch! Additionally, carts for carrying trays were available; my mother found them very useful. The food quality exceeded expectations; even my usually light-eating mother enjoyed her meal thoroughly—thank you for such delicious dining! Although initially expecting more of a family-oriented ryokan-turned-hotel experience due to its size and amenities catering to families, we found it surprisingly quiet with no noise disturbances between rooms or hallways. One minor disappointment: while visiting a cooler region like this one would expect spaces within or around hotels where fresh air can be enjoyed fully—but such areas seemed limited here apart from small outdoor spots near corridors leading toward baths’ entrances. Given its riverside location—it might enhance guest experiences further if safe walking paths along riverbanks suitable even seniors could explore leisurely existed onsite!

I stayed in a Sky Co...
I stayed in a Sky Comfort Room. The recently renovated room was clean, and I enjoyed the greenery from the window, making it a relaxing experience. The location of the riverside open-air Onsen, the well-equipped kids' room, and the buffet with a wide variety of menu options were all excellent. For further improvement, it would be great if bath towels could be placed in the Onsen changing area so they can be used without reusing them for morning and night. During my Multiple Night Stay, I noticed that the meal menu remained exactly the same each day; some variation would be appreciated. Additionally, the hairdryer had low wattage and was not very effective—having a better-quality hairdryer would enhance comfort. In the relaxation area after bathing, while there are plenty of vending machines available, having a water dispenser (and free tea if possible) instead of needing to purchase canned drinks would be more convenient and appreciated.

Rooms with Open-Air Bath
Enjoying nature was wonderful, but for those who dislike insects, using the open-air bath might be challenging. Large insects you may have never seen before can appear. For insect enthusiasts, it could be a paradise...

It was far from what I imagined.
The moment I opened the door to the Room, I was surprised by how small, old, and dark it was. It was an underground Room with a rushing stream about 2 meters away from the window, which seemed dangerous on rainy days. The front desk and massage staff appeared busy and lacked attentiveness in their service. Although I was told to confirm by phone, my calls prior to arrival never connected. The open-air bath was fantastic. Instead of a shiatsu massage, I used the massage chair, which was affordable, always available, and surprisingly comfortable—this turned out to be a great choice. Meals were served in a crowded banquet hall but were delicious, and the staff were kind.

Although it is a buffet, there are too few staff members.
As it was a buffet at a large-scale hotel, I expected some level of disorganization, but there were no staff in sight to take drink orders. Even when I tried to call out while getting food, I was told they were too busy to assist. Additionally, during breakfast, even though we were given "Dining in Progress" cards for our table, many tables with these cards remained uncleared and appeared vacant. As a result, when we placed the card on our table and went to get food, an elderly couple who didn’t understand the meaning of the card placed their belongings on our table, leading to an unpleasant exchange. If this is the situation during off-peak weekdays in June, I can’t imagine how chaotic it would be during peak season. The facilities are good overall; however, unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll stay here again.

Cost-effective Ryokan
We visited as a four-generation family. This Ryokan satisfies both elderly guests with mobility issues and small children. With breakfast, dinner, and a private open-air bath in the room, it offers great value for the price. The facility is barrier-free and includes a kids' room for children to enjoy. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

An Exceptional Experience Beyond Expectations with Room for Improvement
■Hotel Stay Review Overall, this stay was highly satisfying. The exceptional cost performance is particularly noteworthy. ■Room & Amenities: Cleanliness is excellent, but facilities need improvement The room was impeccably clean, with no dust even under the bed, which was impressive. However, the lack of a razor in the room was slightly disappointing. ■Service: Front desk needs improvement The staff at the dining area and cleaning team were very friendly and warm, making for a pleasant experience. On the other hand, improvements are needed at the front desk. The checkout process was extremely slow, resulting in long queues that should be addressed by implementing an efficient system. Additionally, services such as car relocation or luggage assistance during check-in would enhance comfort during stays. ■Onsen & Bath: Stunning views but some challenges with convenience and private baths The highlight of "Keiryu no Yu" onsen offered spaciousness with sunlight streaming in during the day and breathtaking starry skies at night—an incredibly satisfying experience overall. However, its operating hours until 11 PM felt somewhat early, and its distant location made access inconvenient; structural improvements like adding outdoor stairs could help address this issue. Furthermore, while we paid 3,000 yen for a private bath rental expecting more space or luxury features than provided—it fell short of expectations unfortunately. ■Facility: Excellent kids' park but urgent need for barrier-free access The kids' park is well-equipped and ideal for families with children; however lack of ramps near reception makes movement difficult especially using strollers/wheelchairs posing significant accessibility concerns requiring immediate attention towards becoming universally user-friendly spaces accommodating everyone equally. ■Dining Experience : Exceptional soft-serve ice cream alongside diverse menu options Despite not being fond typically indulging sweets myself—the soft-serve ice cream served here stood out remarkably delicious enough tempting repeated servings! Grilled beef dishes paired perfectly complemented extensive wine selections ensuring thoroughly enjoyable meals throughout stay! ## Summary While there are areas needing improvement overall value-for-money remains outstanding delivering fulfilling memorable experiences leaving anticipation eagerly awaiting future enhancements ahead!

Disappointed as we had high expectations for the buffet.
If the food were better, it would be a good hotel. 【Positive Points】 - The open-air bath is nice. - Great location (surrounded by nature). - Shuttle service to Chino Station. - Close to Tokyo. 【Negative Points】 - The buffet is generally not tasty. * Went with high expectations due to reviews but found it to be an ordinary, unremarkable buffet (not particularly worse than others, just average). * For those who usually enjoy buffets: if you expect this one to be special, you might feel disappointed. * Stayed for two nights and had the buffet for both breakfast and dinner—it was unpleasantly repetitive. - Poor customer service: * Requested in advance for two beds to be joined together with bed guards installed for child safety, but this was not done upon arrival. * When pouring water into a glass at the buffet for my child, green-tinted water came out (likely from residual melon soda). Asked if clean water was available and was told "it will clear up after running it for a while." When I clarified by asking "so there's no clean water?" they reluctantly replied "I'll bring some" in an annoyed tone. * Tried switching the second night's dinner from the buffet to a kaiseki meal at an additional cost but was denied (understandable). However, when I asked another staff member later on with slight hope, they said they'd pass it on during their morning shift after taking my room number—but no follow-up ever came through.

It was a great stay.
During my previous stay, I mentioned the strong fragrance in the front area and the overpowering cologne of a male staff member. This time, there was no strong fragrance in the front area, allowing me to approach and complete my check-in smoothly. Additionally, none of the staff had an overwhelming scent of cologne, and I deeply appreciate this consideration. The Onsen, meals, and room were all comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you very much!

I felt relaxed.
Arriving before the check-in time, I was able to complete the check-in process and wait in the lobby for a short while until my room was ready, allowing me to enter earlier than expected. This flexible service left a very positive impression. I stayed in a riverfront room with an open-air Onsen bath. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed with convenient access from the sink and shower booth to the open-air bath. I enjoyed soaking in the Onsen multiple times while listening to the sound of the stream. Due to the building's age, some noise and voices from adjacent rooms were slightly noticeable; however, there were no disturbances during sleeping hours as other guests seemed considerate at night. Since my room had its own Onsen bath, I didn’t use the Hotel’s Onsen facilities this time but would like to try them on my next visit. As for meals, I found that both breakfast and dinner buffets offered a wide selection of delicious options such as fresh seafood and Shinshu beef. However, one downside was breakfast—during my 2-night stay, it became very crowded in the morning on both days. In fact, on my second morning, I decided not to use it due to how busy it was. Perhaps implementing time slots like those used for dinner could help alleviate congestion? Despite this minor issue with breakfast service being a drawback for me personally, overall I had an incredibly relaxing stay filled with wonderful experiences. Thank you!

Suitable for families with young children
I am a returning guest since last summer. Last time, my room was located far from the main bath, so this time I stayed in the main building. The refrigerator is divided into a fridge and freezer, which is convenient for freezing many items during summer. The room has been renovated and is clean. The meals, which were a major reason for my repeat visit, were delicious again this time. Despite the cold weather, the parking staff and foreign staff members always greeted us warmly when passing by, leaving a very positive impression. However, many guests had children under 10 years old who ran around noisily in the buffet area and lobby. In our accommodation room as well, children next door screamed loudly while running around and banging on walls with their hands—making it far from relaxing or peaceful, which was disappointing. Another point of concern was regarding alcohol during meals; previously there were both all-you-can-drink options and à la carte menus available on each table. This time there was no menu at all on our table—only an all-you-can-drink notice in the venue itself. It seems some tables had menus while others did not; I only wanted a small amount of alcohol but found this situation slightly disappointing as well.
