    Everyone was very satisfied.

    It was a long-awaited trip with my grandchildren. We were so excited and noisy in the Room that we received a warning. Perhaps it was because we didn’t close the door properly... We apologize for any inconvenience caused. The playground equipment in the basement delighted my elementary school-aged grandchild, who said, "I wanted to play more." My high school-aged grandchild, who has won awards in calligraphy, was very interested in the local high school students' New Year calligraphy works. It was enjoyable. This is our fifth stay at Mercure hotels across different prefectures, but I believe this is the first time we've seen playground equipment suitable for elementary school children. It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much!

    Long-awaited

    Shuttle service was available, and the staff provided explanations about nearby tourist spots and Amanohashidate during the ride, making it an educational experience before arriving at the hotel. The hotel was large with an impressive number of rooms. The view was great, and the room itself was quiet and comfortable. There were some activities like table tennis available, but we didn’t use them. Those who participated seemed to be having fun. The dinner buffet featured a main steak dish that attracted a long line of guests. Since everyone focused on this main dish, perhaps there could be improvements in how it is served. However, the steak itself was plentiful, tender, and satisfying. The variety of dishes at the buffet was extensive and delicious as well. Drinks were all-you-can-drink; however, since the venue was spacious, navigating through tables to get drinks could be a bit challenging. There were also free drinks and snacks available such as brown sugar karinto (fried dough snacks), sweet potato karinto crackers, sweet rice crackers... perhaps bean gummies? These felt more like children’s treats than alcohol pairings but were still tasty. The outdoor bath being Onsen made for a very relaxing experience!

    Great view

    The drink bar service and all-inclusive buffet were excellent. You can also enjoy the heavenly Onsen, offering great value for money. Above all, the scenery is stunning, and the staff's hospitality was kind and attentive, making it a wonderful vacation. Thank you!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    We stayed on a Saturday at the end of the year, expecting it to be crowded, but check-in was handled smoothly even before the designated time. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, so much that we couldn't try everything. The bath area was well-maintained with frequent cleaning of the changing rooms, making it very pleasant to use. The children wanted to play table tennis but could only find availability late at night, so they played in the morning before we checked out. We look forward to staying again!

    A Hotel suitable for families and groups.

    As an older couple, our review might be a bit strict, but we believe this is a good Hotel for families with children or groups. In terms of Facility, the TV in the Room is relatively small. It would be better to have a larger TV and include features such as showing bath congestion status and tourist information on the screen.

    Stayed with a breakf...

    Stayed with a breakfast-included plan for sightseeing in Amanohashidate and Ine. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. Japanese dishes like Nikujaga and spinach with sesame dressing were delicious. The apple cinnamon cupcake dessert was especially memorable and tasty! From the room window, you can see the full view of Amanohashidate, and at night, the starry sky is beautiful! The large public bath, including both indoor and open-air baths, was spacious and comfortable! The lounge offering unlimited alcohol, soft drinks, snacks, and dried fruits was highly appreciated by my family who accompanied me!

    The bath was excellent.

    The property features both an open-air bath and an indoor bath, both spacious and perfect for relaxation. The number of washing stations was also sufficient, which was convenient. I stayed in a Japanese-style room where I had to lay out the futon myself; however, I noticed a stain resembling blood on part of the comforter. While it became less noticeable with the cover on, it still felt unpleasant. I believe better checks on bedding are necessary. Meals were served buffet-style and were fairly standard, but the alcohol-free environment made for a more relaxed experience.

    This was my first ti...

    This was my first time using it. The lounge offered beer, juice, and snacks, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. The highlight was the buffet at night and in the morning. The yellowtail shabu-shabu, roast beef, cream puffs, and more were incredibly delicious and impressive. I would love to stay at a Mercure Hotel again. One suggestion: having a clock in the bathroom would be helpful.

    At the time of check-in

    At check-in, we had to wait for a while as no one came out from the back despite calling multiple times. There were two male staff members, but they continued talking, and the check-in process took longer than expected. Check-out, however, was very smooth!

    It was very crowded on Saturday.

    This Hotel is very popular among families. Overall, it was satisfying, but the dinner buffet was extremely crowded, and moving to the table took time. Being assigned to the third venue made carrying food challenging. The time limit is not strict, which is acceptable, but we hope a solution can be considered.

    We had a wonderful time.

    The variety of meals was excellent, and the all-you-can-drink option was very satisfying. The cream puffs and ramen were especially delicious. This is a Hotel I would love to visit again.

    Accessible

    We had a very pleasant stay. This time, we were accompanied by someone with limited mobility, so we chose a barrier-free Room. The toilet was convenient, but the bathroom had steps. Although we could borrow a chair, it was slightly challenging to use. Considering it is an older Hotel, this might be unavoidable; however, having no steps in the bathroom and a shallower bathtub would have been even better.

    Maternity Trip with Your Dog

    We stayed with my parents, our two dogs, and my spouse. The Room was spacious and clean, and the meals offered a wide variety of options, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Since there were many group guests, avoiding their dining times allowed us to have a more relaxed experience. Although the elderly gentleman at the front desk during check-in provided poor service, everyone else was friendly and attentive, making our stay comfortable. Highly recommended for maternity trips as well. Thank you very much!

    Not quite.

    There was a hole in the Room slippers! I noticed it when I wore them, but it seems the cleaning staff didn't check, which was disappointing. It's such a shame because the food is delicious and the Hotel is lovely.

    The quality of the meals is excellent. **Dinner** - Beer and sparkling wine available - Both salted and unsalted butter provided - Delicious gluten-free bread - Fisherman's soup and meatball soup with perfect seasoning - Roast beef with a well-balanced garlic-flavored sauce - Exceptionally tasty white rice, portion sizes starting from 50g served by a robot server - Crispy cookie choux **Breakfast** - Tasty beet and banana smoothie - Outstanding croissants; butter and sweet red bean paste available in the morning - Pancake machine provided - Pho and sparkling wine were delightful for breakfast - Miyazu soul food curry yakisoba was delicious **Bedroom** On clear nights, you can stargaze while lying in bed.

    Comfortable and satisfying.

    From check-in to check-out, the service with reasonable accommodations was very satisfying and at a reasonable price. The view from the Room's window was also wonderful, making it very relaxing. However, it was disappointing that during the lounge service starting at 9 PM, there were not enough chairs available, so I had to stand and couldn't fully relax.

    The heating is not working.

    The corner Room had an indoor temperature of 20°C. It was so cold that I tried adjusting the air conditioning, but it didn’t improve. Upon checking the facility guide, I found out that the air conditioning system is centralized for the entire building. However, even with an outer coat on in midwinter, it was still cold. When I called the front desk, they kindly offered to bring me a blanket. I assume this was probably their best effort to address the situation at that time? But I couldn’t help but laugh thinking, "Am I supposed to spend time under a blanket before even having dinner?" In the end, the hallway was warmer than my Room, so I left my door open and let in some warm air from outside. After taking a bath, I immediately got into bed to stay warm. The air conditioning definitely needs improvement. Other than that, my stay was comfortable overall.

    I stayed at Mercure ...

    I stayed at Mercure for the first time to visit Amanohashidate. Dinner times were designated, with a choice of 5:00 PM or 7:30 PM. Since I arrived at 4:30 PM, I chose the later option of 7:30 PM. When I went to the restaurant at 7:30 PM, I was told to take any available seat. However, as it was a busy long weekend, it was difficult to find an open table. If dinner times are designated, it would be better to implement a turnover system on busy holidays. Many guests remained seated even after finishing their meals. The kumihimo (braided cord) experience the next day was great as we had made a reservation and could enjoy it together as a family.

    No repeat stays

    We stayed here for a family trip. We chose this place because we like Nagahama and it was dog-friendly. Since there were four of us, we had to book two Rooms and requested in the remarks section, "Please assign Rooms as close as possible since it's a family trip." However, one Room was at the end of the 4th floor and the other at the opposite end of the 6th floor. On arrival, we asked for a Room change because my father is over 80 years old with mobility issues, but our request was denied. Everything from the bath to meals was quite far away, which made me feel sorry for him. We considered swapping Rooms among ourselves but gave up due to an unbearable smell in the pet-friendly Room. The lounge offered only two types of alcohol after check-in: beer and highball (if I remember correctly). In contrast, Nagahama had a wider selection like sparkling wine or shochu. We didn’t visit the lounge at night so I can’t comment on that. Considering everything overall, we won’t be returning here again.

    A very dog-smelling Room

    We took our elderly dog on a final trip with the family. This was our second stay at a pet-friendly Hotel, but there was quite a strong odor. It might be unavoidable, but it smelled even stronger than an animal hospital. Since we couldn't open the windows, we couldn't air it out... It might be better to have a powerful air purifier for deodorization. The provided amenities such as a large playpen, toilet tray, toilet sheets, dishes, deodorizing spray, and wet wipes were plentiful and very helpful. Walking within the premises was prohibited, so we had to go outside and walk for some time before starting our stroll. Since pets are left alone inside the Hotel without walks allowed on-site, I felt sorry for them. Given the vast grounds of the Hotel, even a small walking area would be greatly appreciated.

    Open-air Bath & Breakfast

    This was my second time using Mercure, but at the Kyoto Miyazu Resort, I found many small insects floating in the open-air bath, making it unusable. I had only included breakfast with my stay and was looking forward to it from the night before. I was informed that breakfast would be available between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM, but at check-in, I was told that a group reservation would occupy the restaurant from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and that I should come after 8:00 AM. When I went to the restaurant after 8:00 AM as instructed, there were few food options left, and it felt like eating leftovers. It did not meet my expectations for a satisfying breakfast. I couldn't help but feel disappointed thinking about how much more enjoyable it could have been if I'd been able to eat starting at 7:00 AM with all dishes available.

    The bath and lounge were excellent. However, the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were disappointing. Compared to other facilities I have stayed at, while dinner had variety, it felt like an extension of home cooking. Despite being fish from the Sea of Japan, the sashimi lacked freshness. It was also disappointing that there were no meat dishes. Breakfast was similarly underwhelming as dinner. The facility itself was spacious and comfortable.

    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay. I did not use the large public bath, so I rated it 3 stars. Since there were group guests, I appreciated being informed in advance about the expected breakfast crowd, which allowed me to use my time efficiently. Thank you for preparing the Room I requested. I was very satisfied visiting Amanohashidate and its beautiful surroundings. Thank you very much!

    Is everything satisfactory?

    Everything was excellent, but it was too crowded due to its popularity. Especially for those using the dining area, this might be a concern. It left me with a bit of regret.

    I stayed with a frie...

    I stayed with a friend in Tokyo. The meals, including dinner and breakfast, were delicious, the room was spacious, and the large public bath was relaxing. We also participated in the bracelet-making activity at the experience corner and had a wonderful time. When departing, I asked the staff for recommendations on nearby places to visit before heading home. They suggested Iio Jozo Brewery, where we met the chairman who kindly shared insights about vinegar production—it was an enjoyable experience. I would love to stay again during next year's strawberry season!

    Long queues everywhere...

    We visited on a weekday, expecting it to be less crowded, but it was extremely busy everywhere, which left us quite exhausted. The shuttle service from the station was packed to the point of using auxiliary seats. After that, there was a long line for check-in; we waited 30 minutes to reach the counter. Dinner was also very crowded despite being on a time-slot system. Seating was unassigned, so we had to search for available seats like in a food court. With a toddler in tow and carrying a kids' chair, our family struggled to find seating. In the end, we were seated in another room separate from the main dining area with food (we had confirmed this at the time of reservation but would have appreciated guidance). Even when going to get food from the main venue, there were additional lines of 20-30 minutes each time, making it difficult to enjoy warm dishes. Due to our child’s impatience and inability to wait long periods repeatedly, we couldn’t fully enjoy dinner. The lounge we were looking forward to was also constantly crowded. Many guests stayed for extended periods like at an izakaya (Japanese pub), making it hard for others to find seats. With limited operating hours as well, we ended up purchasing drinks from vending machines instead of enjoying them at the lounge as part of all-inclusive services—this felt disappointing. The large public bath area was naturally busy too; there were even waits for hair dryers afterward. The post-bath lounge's amazake (sweet sake) ran out and wasn’t restocked either. We were overwhelmed by how unexpectedly bustling everything turned out! Perhaps if it had just been adults traveling together without children involved—we might have navigated things better and enjoyed more services thoroughly. That said though—with young children along—we initially worried about whether they could behave quietly enough during our stay...but surprisingly found ourselves feeling relaxed amidst such lively surroundings!
