    I had a relaxing time with my friend after a long while amidst busy daily life. The dining experience was a bit rushed, but it was understandable since it was Saturday. From tomorrow, I’ll work hard again and look forward to staying at another Mercure location in the future. Thank you very much!

    Great value for money!

    This was my first time staying at this accommodation. Looking at online reviews, I noticed many complaints, but I felt that those people might not understand the concept of cost performance! If you’re willing to spend more money, there are plenty of places with excellent service. This time, for just under 10,000 yen per person with all-inclusive service—I was satisfied! I also felt that the facility has been gradually improving and updating based on negative reviews. In a time when everything is expensive, labor costs are rising, and inbound tourism is recovering—accommodations have become pricier overall. Thank you, Mercure Hotel! I appreciate your efforts to provide such value at this price point. I will definitely use your services again!

    Best value for money

    I don't use the lounge, but considering the meal options and prices, the value for money is excellent. The cost-performance is so good that I no longer feel the need to look for other Hotels—perhaps that's a downside?

    It is extremely disappointing and unreasonable to keep the pool closed despite the intense heat. Setting a rule to close it by the end of August ignores reality and feels overly bureaucratic.

    I have stayed more than 10 times since the time it was Daiwa Royal. It used to be a good Hotel, so I visited regularly, but now it has changed too much and I am disappointed. The bidet was broken, amenities (including in the bath area) were fewer, and horse oil products were gone. The smoking area had no air conditioning and was extremely hot. There were too many inbound tourists, making it hard to relax in the bath or enjoy meals peacefully. Despite being in Japan, there were mostly foreigners around. It was better when it was Daiwa Royal. There wasn’t any seaweed at the breakfast buffet either. The rice machine was broken as well. Since this is Japan, I hope more consideration will be given to Japanese guests.

    Excellent location

    The view from the Room was great, and the sunset during dinner was beautiful. The meals were delicious with plenty of dishes, leaving us very satisfied. We also enjoyed drinks at the lounge thoroughly. Although we usually go to bed early and skip nighttime drinks, this time we indulged and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, and we were moved by the countless stars that can't be seen in urban areas. The amenities were stylish, and the Room was lovely as well. We would love to stay here again!

    Stayed in August on ...

    Stayed in August on a weekend with two ladies, including meals, to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Amanohashidate's sea from a classic twin room. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We used the large public bath and open-air bath, so we didn’t use the bathroom in our room. Regarding comments about "the fridge not cooling," it was simply set to level 1; adjusting it to level 5 or 6 made it cool perfectly fine. The air conditioning temperature in the room was just right. Despite many families with children staying due to the pool facilities, it was quiet at night as they seemed to be on different floors. Staff greeted us politely in the hallways, making for a pleasant stay. For those traveling by train without a car (like us), having a shuttle bus is essential and greatly appreciated. Upon arrival on an extremely hot afternoon, we were delighted by welcome drinks (free-flowing soft drinks, snacks, and beer). However, during peak times there might be lines for the single soft drink machine—but this free drink service was truly helpful during such intense heat of around 36°C. The room had tea bags for green tea and roasted tea along with another type of tea; water could be fetched from machines near elevators. It would have been nice if towels and shower caps were available at the large public bath area or if there were wall-mounted fans about 2 meters high off the ground for better ventilation after bathing. There was cold water available post-bath which helped cool down effectively. Unfortunately missed out on participating in their evening bar time due to chatting too long elsewhere! Both dinner and breakfast buffets were highly enjoyable—dinner included sashimi, sushi rolls, local specialties like bamboo fish cake stew alongside Western dishes offering great variety! Thought there wasn’t ice cream until spotting soft-serve machines when leaving dining areas—regrettably didn’t get any then but wished vending machines selling ice cream existed near baths instead! At meal entry points only asked our room number without verifying names nor showing keys raising concerns over potential misuse especially unattended staff moments allowing unauthorized access via brown cards lying around unchecked perhaps? Morning soak within outdoor baths added meaningful relaxation before catching mid-morning shuttles yet disappointed finding souvenir shops closed earlier preventing last-minute purchases locally beforehand sadly though next visits avoiding summer peak seasons preferred ideally instead altogether!     Hotel where you can stay with your beloved dog

    We had a wonderful summer trip. The bath and meals were excellent. The dinner buffet was outstanding. The all-inclusive experience allowed us to enjoy a variety of items in the evening and at night, offering a sense of escape from the ordinary. Although understandable, our beloved dog had to stay inside the Hotel room throughout our stay. It would be great if there were more areas where we could spend time together with our dog. Even if it's a small space, having an area where we can enjoy the all-inclusive or counter bar with our pet would be appreciated.

    Second Stay

    Check-in at 1:45 PM took less time than the previous visit, but I had to wait nearly 25 minutes as several people who couldn't do early check-in were being assisted. The 3:00 PM check-in process started too early. Please ensure that regular check-ins do not interfere with early check-ins. Consider improving the reception process and implementing better measures.

    It was excellent.

    I was surprised by the large number of guests at this hotel, but it wasn't too crowded, and there were no long waiting times. The room had a slight sense of age but was clean and well-organized. The meals were typical buffet-style offerings. There were quite a few Chinese guests, which was as expected and understandable. The bath wasn't crowded, possibly because I went at a good time. Considering the number of guests, the pool wasn't overly busy either. However, there is no drink service by the poolside, so don't forget to bring your own beverages. I would love to visit again!

    Thank you for your hospitality.

    As our estimated arrival time was 20:30, we requested if it would be possible to set aside some dinner buffet for us since we might not make it in time. The response was that they had never done such a thing before. We understood and didn’t expect much, but to our surprise, they had prepared it for us! We managed to arrive 30 minutes earlier and enjoyed the buffet, but we were truly moved by the hospitality of the Hotel staff! Next time, we will stay longer and enjoy more. Thank you so much!

    It was the poster's birthday on this day, and as requested in advance, they reserved a room with a great view. Additionally, they prepared a "towel cake" in the room to celebrate the birthday, which was truly touching! I have been staying here since it was part of the old hotel chain, so there are some older features like the sink area. However, the spacious open-air bath remains unchanged and areas like the post-bath lounge have been renovated to be clean and comfortable. During the peak Obon season, the dining venue was quite crowded, but the ingredients were very delicious and various types of alcohol were offered for free. Other than all seats being occupied at times, everything else was highly satisfying. Thank you very much!!

    Satisfaction

    The Room was clean and spacious. The amenities were wooden and stylish. Meals were served buffet-style with a wide variety of options, all well-seasoned. There was also a great selection of alcoholic beverages to enjoy. During the Obon holiday, the pool attracted many families with children, making it somewhat crowded but still within an acceptable range. Would love to visit again!

    Summer Vacation

    The staff were polite and kind. The changing room by the pool was a bit small but clean and tidy. What was disappointing was the layout of the dining Room; the tray for returning plates was placed in the middle of the Room, making leftover food visible, which wasn't pleasant. Last year, at Mercure Hotel in Minami-Awaji, the layout of their dining Room was so beautiful that it made me excited as soon as I entered. Please consider this as a reference.

    Tired of long lines?

    During check-in, the long lines for meals were exhausting. The inefficiency during check-in needs improvement. Consider increasing staff numbers, setting up temporary reception counters, or starting check-in an hour earlier at 2:00 PM instead of 3:00 PM as a possible solution. The ashtrays in the smoking area were full, with ashes scattered around and empty cigarette boxes lying everywhere. Please provide trash bins and encourage users to dispose of their empty boxes properly. Additionally, dust has accumulated on the ventilation fan on the ceiling of the smoking area, and it does not seem to be functioning. Please inspect this. The lack of friendliness from staff in the dining area was unpleasant. Their dismissive attitude when asked questions was shocking. When food ran out (around 9:00 AM during breakfast), I was told "there is no more," which deviates from the basic expectation that hotels should provide buffet-style breakfast as promised while guests fulfill their obligation to pay for it. It’s disappointing and frustrating that this standard wasn’t met despite knowing in advance how many guests would be staying. In my room, the bidet did not work, which caused significant inconvenience—an unfortunate experience overall. There was no tissue paper replenishment either; I hope room cleaning and inspections are conducted more thoroughly. The provided yukata was thick and made from material unsuitable for the season—it was surprising! Seasonal fabrics should be considered instead.

    It was a stylish Resort Hotel.

    I stayed alone for a trip to Tango. Most of the guests were families enjoying the pool and beach or elderly couples. Everyone seemed very happy and polite, which made me feel cheerful as well. The hotel offers a stylish space without unnecessary items, yet everything essential is provided, making it comfortable and relaxing. Moreover, the price was very affordable. I was especially impressed by their hospitality in providing evening drinks at such a reasonable cost. I think this is an excellent hotel, and I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Numerous areas for improvement.

    Last year, I had a pleasant experience in Ise, which left a good impression. This year, I stayed in Kyoto but found several areas for improvement that I'd like to share. ① Check-in took over 30 minutes. While I understand the effort to explain details while guests wait in line to speed up the process, it would be better to increase staff flexibility at reception or consider assigning specific check-in times to stagger arrivals. Utilizing the lounge more effectively could also help—for example, allowing pool users earlier check-ins. Regarding meals: The food was excellent and very satisfying; however, there are many issues that can be easily addressed: ② The meal venue's reception area should be moved closer for smoother guidance when opening additional spaces during busy periods like summer weekends (especially for breakfast). ③ Adding a simple note on plates asking guests to return them after meals would encourage most people to clean up willingly. Currently, unclear instructions lead to delays and confusion among guests. ④ The lines during breakfast and dinner are excessively long (especially in the morning). Although time slots are staggered by an hour now, switching this system to 30-minute intervals could help distribute crowds more evenly during peak times. Breakfast is particularly chaotic due to higher guest numbers—soft drink stations and rice dispensers attract long queues and need improvement. Popular drinks like oolong tea or juice should be provided separately in pitchers for easier access. Additionally, having two separate locations for rice dispensers would reduce inefficiency caused by carrying heavy containers across distances. ⑤ The post-bath lounge only offered water as a drink option—it was disappointing. ⑥ It was difficult locating children's yukatas; clearer placement is needed. ⑦ While it's understandable that summer weekends bring crowds, the lounge lacked ambiance this time around—dispersing check-in times could prevent overcrowding so guests can enjoy relaxing in its original stylish atmosphere. In conclusion: Though my feedback may seem lengthy, these improvements appear simple enough to implement! What sets your Hotel apart is its rich dining experience and all-inclusive environment—a truly wonderful place worth revisiting!

    Buffet Crowding

    The buffet was very crowded, likely due to the summer holidays and the weekend. The dining experience felt similar to a banquet hall for group events. The food was much better than what I had read in reviews. With the all-inclusive plan, I was able to enjoy alcoholic beverages satisfactorily. It would have been even better if there were some rice crackers among the snacks provided. The room was spacious enough and, although it felt slightly dated, it was comfortable with adjustable temperature control. Please consider changing the room wear to a two-piece style. Perhaps due to the summer holidays, there were almost no foreign guests during my stay. Thank you for your hospitality despite how challenging it must be with rising temperatures every year!

    This is my second stay.

    I stayed here on July 24th last year and had such a great experience that I hoped to return someday. I'm so happy I could come back exactly a year later. I requested a room change to the sea (pool) side since my original room wasn't, and I truly appreciate how kindly my request was accommodated. I was surprised by the number of guests, but I enjoyed my two-day stay. Thank you very much! Since my legs are not in the best condition, it would be helpful if there were some chairs placed in the dressing area of the bath.

    We stayed in a Junior Suite for a 60th birthday celebration with 6 adults and 2 children. The scent in the lobby was pleasant, the Room was spacious and clean, and the view of Amanohashidate was stunning. The children enjoyed both the pool and stargazing, making it a satisfying experience for the whole family.

    The bar mentioned on the website was unavailable. If that's the case, it should be clearly stated online. The 2nd-floor lounge, advertised as offering drinks in a relaxing atmosphere, was noisy and chaotic like a food court. Only cheap alcohol (less than 1,000 yen) such as Suntory Kaku-class drinks were available, and ice had to be taken one piece at a time with tongs while dozens of people lined up for it. The soda water wasn't even chilled but served at room temperature. No beer was available in the lounge at night—what part of this is "all-inclusive"? There were no vending machines selling alcohol either, and the nearest convenience store is over 7 kilometers away—why not provide an alcohol vending machine? The bath felt more like an average public bathhouse rather than something clean or luxurious like those found in golf resorts—very disappointing. As for dinner, the venue was so large that if you were seated far from the buffet area, you'd have to walk about 50 meters just to get food—it’s exhausting! Why not place dishes centrally? It felt like this Hotel prioritized its convenience over guest comfort—a disappointing Facility overall.

    The expectations were high, but I was a bit disappointed. First, the lounge? Snacks included rice crackers, ramune candies, and gummies. Drinks consisted of beer, wine, juice, and coffee. This selection remained the same even during the evening alcohol time starting at 3 PM. The Hotel itself is very old; however, it is well-maintained and clean inside despite its age. The public bath was clean with good water pressure in the showers, making for a pleasant bathing experience. There was also an excellent hairdryer that would excite many women. The cosmetics provided included Snow Skin Essence products. The towels were thick and of great quality; however, there were no room wear options available. The yukata provided felt too thick to wear comfortably during summer. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner but had a chaotic atmosphere like a battlefield where it was difficult to get what you wanted. Since it was fully booked with many families staying together, this may not be ideal for adults seeking a quiet stay. That said, the Hotel staff members were very kind and attentive to ensure everyone had a comfortable stay. Overall, this Facility is more suited for families with small children.

    The food and service...

    The food and service were excellent. The beer was incredibly delicious. It was delightful to enjoy a drink in the lounge right after arriving at the Hotel on a hot day. The cleaning staff were friendlier than the restaurant staff, which left a good impression. One disappointment was that I mentioned in the remarks section that it was for my father's birthday, but I wish there had been at least a word from the front desk. Other Hotels provided message cards or sweets for such occasions.
