    The all-inclusive Pl...

    The all-inclusive Plan was generally very convenient and relaxing. The lounge from 3 PM was crowded, making it difficult to secure a seat. The snacks and appetizers didn’t feel particularly special—just average. The bath was great! Dinner starts at 5:30 PM, but arriving 10 minutes early already meant facing a long line of people. There was also a long queue for the buffet. It would be helpful to consider changes, such as splitting the line into two—one for Western cuisine and one for Japanese cuisine—to avoid excessive waiting. Please review this carefully. Breakfast had similar issues. Other than that, everything else was excellent. The food itself deserves high praise! For sake options, I wish cold sake had been available! Overall, I’m satisfied!

    Repeat guest.

    This is my third time staying here. I always enjoy my stay. This time, I tried the dinner-included plan for the first time. The meal was plentiful and delicious. With beer included, it made the experience even more enjoyable. Although the facility gets a little better each visit, there are still some areas showing wear and age that could be improved for an even better impression. I look forward to staying here again.

    About Accommodation

    The scenery was amazing, and the lounge offered great food and drinks. The amenities were excellent, including branded cosmetics—everything was truly wonderful. The water and hot water from the water dispensers near the elevators on each floor were very convenient. With a relaxed checkout time, we were able to fully enjoy our stay. It turned out to be a fantastic trip!

    Lack of employee training

    The dining operation was extremely poor. Due to the lack of time restrictions for meals, there were long lines at the buffet, making it impossible to enjoy the buffet as intended or get warm food before it cooled down. Even after informing the restaurant manager on-site, they avoided addressing the issue instead of trying to improve it. The thought of this many people moving to the bath area all at once was overwhelming, so I decided to skip dinner and head straight for a bath. Unlike other Mercure hotels, staff management here is truly lacking.

    A morning bath starting at 6 AM feels late. Breakfast starting at 7 AM feels rushed. Rooms located at the end of the hallway are far from the elevator.

    Stunning views

    I stayed in a slightly spacious Room on the 8th floor, and the view was absolutely wonderful. However, since the air conditioning was set uniformly throughout the Hotel, I couldn't adjust it individually in the Room, which seemed unsuitable for handling temperature changes during this season. The large public bath, open-air bath, and sauna were excellent. The meals were served buffet-style and were delicious; I was very satisfied with being able to freely enjoy beer and sake. Last time, I stayed at Mercure Hotel Awaji Island, and both Hotels provided great service.

    Information about the Buffet

    Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, but due to the overwhelming number of guests, I could only try a portion of the dishes. While it might have been better to take time and line up at each station, it would have been helpful if the menu details (even just an overview) and the flow direction for each station (clockwise) were displayed in the venue and available online. This might have alleviated some of the congestion. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lack of consideration in this regard, which was very disappointing. Additionally, perhaps due to staff shortages, there was little interaction or service provided by staff, leaving no strong impression either positively or negatively. I don't think I will use this accommodation again. Thank you very much. (Most of the dishes I tried were delicious; however, there was an issue with the fried rice.)

    The experience of making braided friendship bracelets was wonderful.

    I have stayed at five other Grand Mercure locations in different prefectures, and I felt that the food and drinks here were not as good compared to those. However, the bracelet-making activity was enjoyable. The Room was on the 8th floor with a nice view. At night, I woke up due to a cigarette smell and had my duvet replaced after 1 AM. Only my bedding smelled, making it difficult to sleep. As a Diamond member, I was entitled to a 2 PM check-in; however, when I arrived slightly after 2 PM, I was told that the Room cleaning wasn't finished and had to wait for over 10 minutes.

    Good value for money except for the buffet stress.

    Overall, it was a good experience, but the long line for the buffet was quite stressful. I was looking forward to an Onsen with a view of the ocean, so I felt a bit disappointed. The renovated Room I chose was very clean and extremely satisfying. With access to the sauna and lounge, it was an attractive Hotel with great value for money. The staff's service was also excellent. If the dining situation improves a bit more, I would recommend it to my friends.

    Overall good.

    I have stayed at various Mercure locations before, but this time two points stood out: - First, there was debris floating in the bath. Even after contacting the front desk, there was no immediate response. - The meals had quantity and variety, but the quality has noticeably declined compared to before, leaving no memorable dishes. Additionally, a large number of guests entering at once caused significant congestion and even trouble at a neighboring table. A time allocation system might help improve this. Other aspects were generally as expected and satisfactory.

    It was very comfortable.

    Depending on the room, the one we were provided was on the 6th floor facing the sea, offering a distant view of Amanohashidate and a stunning outlook towards what seemed to be Ine in the right direction. The hospitality from arrival, free drinks & snacks were satisfying, and there was also complimentary alcohol available at the large public bath and dinner. The menu, including breakfast, was abundant. We stayed as individual guests rather than part of a tour. Due to work commitments, it was only a one-night stay—such an excellent Hotel that it felt regrettable not staying longer.

    It was crowded!

    This was my second visit. While the crowd indicates its popularity, it can be stressful to wait in line for the buffet or use the bath. Even with an additional dining area, it was still very crowded. If possible, I would appreciate separating groups with children and adults-only groups. Next time, I’d like to try the strawberry-picking Plan.

    The meals are delicious.

    The food was very delicious and satisfying in terms of quality, as stated in the title. I enjoyed the all-inclusive experience, so I give it 4 stars. However, there were some issues with dining arrangements. The buffet had only one lane, so when many guests gathered, it became a situation where you had to line up and wait for everything. (It might improve if there were two lanes.) Also, the lounge was smaller than expected, and both during the day and at night there were no available seats. I ended up taking drinks and snacks back to my room instead of enjoying the atmosphere there, which was a bit disappointing. (That said, restocking was done frequently enough that nothing seemed to run out.) As for the room: There is a slight gap under the entrance door through which outside noise can come in; conversely, sounds from inside may also go out. It’s something to be mindful of during your stay.

    Affordable and Comfortable

    We stayed as a couple. The room was spacious, well-cleaned, and offered a wonderful ocean view. The large public bath was relaxing with its open-air bath and sauna. It would have been nice if baskets or bags were provided for trips to the public bath. The all-inclusive service included free alcohol, soft drinks, and snacks in the lounge, as well as complimentary drinks during the dinner buffet. However, due to the high number of guests, food and drinks ran out quickly at times despite the staff's efforts to replenish them promptly. There were occasional waits, but every dish we tried was delicious and highly satisfying. One disappointment was that paper cups for taking coffee back to our room were not available next to the coffee machine during breakfast buffet hours. When I asked a staff member about it, they mentioned such an option wasn’t provided—this felt unfortunate given the all-inclusive concept. We booked through IKYU.com at a very reasonable price this time—thank you very much!

    Mercure for Your Peace of Mind

    Thank you for your hospitality. This is our first time at this Hotel, but it’s the sixth Mercure we’ve stayed at. We love the meals, the bath, and most of all, the all-inclusive service. Allow me to share a few points that caught my attention. This time, it was my husband, our son, and I staying together, but our Room was not directly across from each other, which felt a bit off. Unlike other Mercure Hotels, there was no simple bag provided for going to the bath. My husband mentioned that the smoking area was far away. While I think he should quit smoking, it’s true that in most cases, it’s near the elevator on the restaurant floor. For dinner, we were expecting fish from Miyazu, but the sashimi was the same as other Mercure Hotels. However, the roast beef and tender braised pork were delicious, and our son enjoyed them. Still, we would have liked more local specialties. We bought simmered black beans at the shop, which were reasonably priced and not overly sweet. They were well-received as gifts. I mixed them with rice, added a pinch of salt, and made rice balls, which were so delicious that I wished I had bought more. The view of Amanohashidate from our Room was fantastic, and we had a relaxing stay.

    It was excellent.

    This was my second stay, and this time I fully enjoyed the travel vibe with a sea-view Room. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and even though the dining area was crowded, I could enjoy my meal without any discomfort. There were plenty of menu options, and everything was delicious.     Welcome drinks include beer, sparkling wine, and more, offering a satisfying selection. Guests can also enjoy delicious meals and lounge drinks for a delightful experience. It would be perfect if the open-air bath could be enjoyed leisurely even in the rain. Still, I would love to visit again!

    Second stay!

    This was my second stay, and I booked accommodation with breakfast included. I enjoyed my stay last year, so I decided to visit again this time. The accommodation seemed to have undergone some repairs or renovations since last year, as it looked cleaner and more polished. However, I felt that some furniture, like the sofa, might still need further repairs. The breakfast and service were as satisfying as last time! One point of concern was the attitude of the staff handling the trays after meals, which was disappointing. It was just one person, though. My mother also likes this accommodation, so we plan to stay again next month. I hope you continue to provide excellent service! Thank you very much.

    The view is spectacular.

    The view from the sofa area next to the front desk, the lounge, and the guest rooms was excellent. Meals were served in two shifts; when I went at 7 PM, the buffet area was crowded, so I waited a bit while enjoying a beer before getting my food. The variety of dishes was abundant and enjoyable. The open-air bath was great, and having a coin laundry available was very convenient. The guest room had a massage chair, which allowed me to relax completely. I look forward to visiting again!

    Weekdays are less crowded and comfortable.

    I have used several Mercure accommodations, and while the building of this one is a former Daiwa Royal Hotel with fewer elevators resulting in longer wait times, it was not particularly inconvenient during my weekday stay. Accommodations near Amanohashidate are generally expensive, but this place is quite reasonable, offering a high level of satisfaction.

    The room had a beautiful view of the sea. The facility was overall very clean (though the sink in the room felt slightly dated despite being clean). The buffet meals were prepared in small portions, allowing guests to try a variety of dishes, which was great. As someone who prefers lighter seasoning, I found the food delicious.

    Last-Minute Reservation

    Stayed at Mercure Miyazu with friends and their family on September 20th and 21st. Previously stayed at Grand Mercure in Biwako and Awaji Island, where some older facilities and overcrowded lounges with overflowing trash bins left an impression. This time, I was a bit nervous about the simpler facilities at Miyazu. While the check-in explanation could have been more thorough, the lounge had a great atmosphere, and trash was regularly cleared, making this our best stay so far. It was slightly disappointing that there was no beer available in the lounge after 9 PM, but we look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

    Overall, we are satisfied.

    The front desk service at check-in was smooth, accommodating our requests and providing clear explanations, leaving a positive impression. The room was comfortable with individual air conditioning and an air purifier installed. The bed fit me perfectly for a good rest. Although there was no bathtub, the onsen made up for it without any issues. Regarding meals, perhaps due to crowd management during busy times, the route was set as one-way. While this has its advantages, if you want to go back for just one specific dish, you need to line up again from the start, which can be inconvenient. When it's less crowded and everyone has already taken their food, it's easier to directly get what you want; however, when others are in line, it feels inappropriate to cut in between them. Allowing more flexibility might be better (personally speaking). As for free drinks: there were limited options for sake; wine felt too inexpensive; whiskey options were also limited—Jack Daniel's being the only appealing choice I found. I feel that Toba offered better selections in comparison. Additionally, since there is no ice machine available on-site, if you'd like to enjoy drinks leisurely in your room, you'll need to purchase ice from the shop—a single installation of an ice machine would be appreciated. Overall though considering how reasonably priced this accommodation is—it's understandable not all demands can be met—but since all-inclusive is a key feature here even small improvements could enhance guest satisfaction further! The onsen experience itself was excellent—the outdoor bath could have been slightly larger but still provided great water quality! Thank You—I look forward returning again soon!

    Memories Hotel

    In 2001, before being posted overseas, my uncle, who was a member of this Hotel (then known as Yamato Royal Hotel), invited me here as a farewell gift. Since then, I have visited again in April this year to honor the memory of my late uncle. The exterior remains the same and brought back fond memories. This time too, I enjoyed a relaxing stay. Both dinner and breakfast were bustling with guests, but I was able to enjoy various dishes that I liked without hesitation—they were all delicious. A kind and elegant female staff member took great care of me and even complimented my attire despite my age. She greeted me again during breakfast; unfortunately, I regret not asking for her name. All the other staff members also provided excellent service with warm hospitality, which was truly appreciated by someone like me who usually spends time doing household chores at home. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. If that kind and beautiful staff member happens to read this comment—I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude!

    3-night stay

    I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler for my birthday. The Room was on the top floor, spacious, and very comfortable. The bathroom was also large, allowing me to relax and soak in comfortably. For dinner, I was given a specific time on the first day, but not on the second or third days. Since it was just as crowded on the second and third days as it was on the first day, I wasn’t sure why there were no time slots assigned then. It was so crowded that it took some time to get food, which I found a bit inconvenient. Additionally, since it's located away from town, having something like a convenience store nearby would have been helpful. Overall though, I had a great experience and would love to stay again if given the chance!

    It is usually busy due to its popularity.

    The all-inclusive lounge is a highlight, but it tends to be crowded at all times. The line for the soft drink machine was so long that we gave up and drove into Miyazu City to buy drinks instead. The food is also a selling point, but breakfast and dinner are generally very busy. While there seem to be enough seats to address the crowd, the areas where you get food are congested, making it hard to relax. That said, the food is delicious. The view is spectacular as well. However, during summer afternoons, be cautious—if you leave the curtains open, the air conditioning won't work effectively, leading to a trade-off between heat and enjoying the scenery. This time we were able to avoid some of the crowds thanks to an early check-in benefit through our Diamond membership; however, regular check-in seemed quite hectic. This Hotel is recommended for families but may not meet expectations if you're looking for a quiet getaway as adults only.
