Couples’ Trip
Last time it was Mt. Daisen, and this time Amanohashidate—both times we were amazed by the spectacular view when we opened the Hotel window (7th floor). Touring around Miyazu Bay was also wonderful. We enjoyed a variety of delicious meals at the Hotel, and the baths—especially the open-air bath—were excellent. It was a very enjoyable one-night stay.

The meals were disappointing.
I have stayed here several times, but this time the meals were disappointing. Because there were large groups from Korea and China staying, the menu seemed mainly geared toward them. There wasn’t a single dish I could say was delicious. There was only a small sashimi selection, tucked away quietly at the very back of one corner. I came looking forward to seafood, so it was disappointing. The view from the Hotel is excellent, though.

The view of Amanohashidate from the Room is excellent.
The view from the Room was great, and we were very satisfied with the wide variety of options at both the breakfast and dinner buffets. If I may make one small request, it would be even better if the Room had enough towels and bath towels not just for one set, but also for both an evening bath and a morning bath.

Back in Miyazu after a long time
The meals were very delicious, and the restaurant staff were pleasant and kind. It would be better if the front desk staff could speak a bit more Japanese. This is a Hotel I would like to visit again.

Delighted by a smoothie made with homegrown strawberries
What surprised me first was how affordable the Accommodation was. It’s rare to find this price with both breakfast and dinner included. The strawberry smoothie at breakfast, labeled as made with homemade strawberries, was very delicious. There was a wide variety of dishes, and the restaurant was spacious, which was great. It’s quite far from Miyazu Station, but there is a Shuttle Service, and the driver was very friendly. The Room was quiet and relaxing. My husband used the large public bath and said it was very spacious and comfortable. Drinks and light snacks in the lobby were included, which is amazing. I’d love to come back again. However, I am concerned about bear sightings—I hope there will be a day when bears can live peacefully in the forest.

It’s a wonderful Hotel.
I stayed at this Hotel with my mother, daughter, and dog. Everything about it felt exceptionally well cared for. Despite being all-inclusive and reasonably priced, the interior is sophisticated (and smells wonderful), the food is thoughtfully prepared, the views are stunning, and the staff’s hospitality is outstanding—simply amazing. There were many tour groups, so the restaurant was busy at mealtimes, but they managed it well by separating times and traffic flow, making it easy to get around without stress. I was also impressed by a buffet area designed so small children can serve themselves. There were so many kinds of dishes that I couldn’t possibly try them all—I was honestly disappointed I couldn’t eat everything (in a good way). I’ve stayed at various Accommodations that allow dogs, but this is the first Hotel I’ve experienced that had no odor at all and felt this clean. The Room was spotless and very comfortable. With thoughtful touches like an escape-prevention gate, a cozy dog bed, and an on-site dog run, everything was provided. Highly recommended for anyone traveling with a dog!

About the arrangement of dishes
I gave a perfect score of 100 out of 100. I stayed here back when it was Daiwa Royal as well, and I felt it has been upgraded in many ways, so I was very satisfied. However, the food stations were concentrated on one side rather than in the center. From seats on the opposite side, it was difficult to reach the dishes at the far end because we had to weave through people. It was also hard to carry a plate of food back to our seats. Many guests were focused on the displayed dishes and didn’t notice people passing by. Several times I bumped into others and almost dropped my food. I think you may want to consider improving the layout of the food stations. I have stayed at four Mercure and Grand Mercure properties so far, and this Hotel was my favorite. I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

Amazing value for money at just over ¥12,000 per person on weekends.
This was an all-inclusive stay with free-flow drinks including alcohol. We booked a twin Room for triple occupancy, and on Saturday it came to just over JPY 12,000 per person (with the Kyoto residents’ discount). From the Room window, Amanohashidate spreads out right in front of you—an impressive view. The Room itself was spacious, and even with three people we had plenty of space. After check-in, we headed straight to the lounge for two draft beers. Snacks included rice crackers, pretzels, chocolate, dried fruit, and more. Before dinner we went to the large public bath. The water has a slightly salty quality. It was a busy weekend overall, but at around 5 p.m. there were only a few people in the bath—very relaxing. Dinner was buffet-style. At this price point there aren’t luxury ingredients, but there’s a good spread of Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic dishes—and you’ll leave full. With alcohol free-flow as well: draft beer, DIY cocktails, sake, shochu—anything you want. After dinner we went back to the lounge for two Jack Daniel’s on the rocks. Delicious. Before bed we returned to the large public bath and did sauna → cold plunge → outdoor air break twice (it wasn’t too crowded). Perfect. Breakfast is also a buffet. It’s a shame there wasn’t an omelet station made-to-order in front of you, but again there’s Japanese/Western/Chinese/ethnic variety—and once more we left completely full. The staff handled an intense weekend workload with smiles and were very pleasant throughout. Among all the Hotels I’ve stayed at so far, this offered some of the best value for money. That’s why it may look like “about four stars” in individual categories but still earns an overall satisfaction rating of five. Thank you very much. We’ll stay again.

Pretty good.
Four of us, including a friend who lives overseas, stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. The futon on the tatami side had only one mattress pad and it hurt my lower back, so I asked the front desk for an extra one, and they kindly brought two mattress pads—thank you very much. We plan to hold a get-together at the same hotel group each time my friend returns to Japan temporarily, so we intend to stay again in the future.

It was great.
I’ve stayed at Mercure several times. Maybe because Amanohashidate is nearby, there are quite a lot of international tourists. The dining area, baths, and lounge all feel very crowded. The lounge has many standing tables and counter seats, with fewer regular tables. The shop across the way is also open, but it’s a bit awkward to go over there. The service was good. I wonder if many of the staff are locals—they’re very friendly. It’s nice to see how hard they work. In any case, this price for one night with two meals included is excellent.

Celebration of a 70th Birthday
We truly appreciated the Hotel’s thoughtful gesture for our 70th birthday celebration, and as the organizer I was very grateful. The property was very clean, and we are considering staying again for a second visit. Thank you to all the staff.

The open-air bath is wonderfully relaxing!
The slightly hot open-air bath was very relaxing, and the Room was clean and comfortable. The lounge also had a pleasant level of liveliness, and we enjoyed its refined, adults-only atmosphere. Thank you very much.

We had a relaxing stay.
Perhaps because there were many group travelers, dinner was extremely crowded, making the meal feel a bit rushed. Other than that, I was able to truly relax, enjoying the lounge and the Onsen.

Miyazu Trip
The food was better in March. Disappointing.
- 2.50kwd48วันที่โพสต์: 26/5/2026
It seems we are fully booked.
It seemed that more than half of the guests were foreign tour groups, and there were 10 large sightseeing buses parked in the parking lot. Dinner was a buffet, but it was extremely crowded; even choosing what I wanted to eat was difficult, and breakfast started at 7:00—when I went around 6:50, there was already a very long line. The food selection was also disappointing. In any case, it was very noisy and not an atmosphere where you could enjoy a relaxed meal. In the large public bath, four people entered while still wearing their underwear. I understand this may be due to cultural differences, but in Japan I would like guests to follow Japanese etiquette. Does the Hotel not know about this, or is it allowing it? Honestly, I wanted a quieter stay and feel I chose the wrong Hotel. I will not be returning.

Breakfast Buffet
The breakfast buffet was excellent. There were dishes I’d never seen before, and it made me feel like I was traveling abroad. Many of the guests were also from overseas, which added to that atmosphere (in many ways). At check-in, the staff told me, “A group will be arriving early, so we recommend having breakfast after 8:00,” which was very helpful. Thank you very much.

I was very satisfied—I could relax and feel refreshed in a unique, out-of-the-ordinary space.
We stayed at this Hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday and to relax and recharge from everyday fatigue. There were two main reasons: first, we wanted to visit Amanohashidate, so we looked for a Hotel around the Miyazu area. Second, it was an all-inclusive Plan, which meant we could enjoy drinks in the lounge and with meals during our stay without worrying about extra costs. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and from the window on the hilltop location we had a wonderful view of Amanohashidate. The dining was buffet-style with a wide variety of options—from international dishes to Japanese cuisine—so we could try many things, making it a great memory. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

International Cuisine
It’s a very beautiful Hotel! Everyone (the staff) was kind. There was such a wide variety of food that I ended up completely full (lol). I wanted to try everything, but it wasn’t possible (crying). I’d love to come back and try again! Thank you very much.

Beautiful, with a great view—an amazing all-inclusive experience!
We stayed to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday and my aunt’s 88th birthday. The view from the Room was wonderful, and it was very spacious and comfortable. We were able to use the activities and lounge free of charge, which gave us many enjoyable experiences. We’re glad we stayed here and made great memories.

Beautiful Facility
There were many group guests, and the dining area was extremely crowded. There weren’t many menu items to begin with. The shop staff were chatting the whole time (laugh). There was a “Beware of bears” sign at the entrance, which was a bit scary. Eight tour buses arrived, and more than half of the guests were foreigners. Dining manners were poor—people cut in line without hesitation, bumped into others, and didn’t flush the toilet.

Relax and unwind to your heart’s content & enjoy a hearty meal
We stayed as a couple. I had seen information in advance saying there would be many foreign tour groups, so I was worried it might make us feel uncomfortable, but that wasn’t the case at all—we had a very pleasant stay. We arrived at 3:00 PM and enjoyed drinks and snacks in the lounge. Perhaps because it was Friday, it didn’t feel overly crowded, and we found seats right away. There were families and groups having fun together, but the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly. The dinner buffet was understandably busy, but since it’s a large Hotel, that seemed normal. There was a wide variety of dishes, and we thoroughly enjoyed items like authentic roast beef, rich sashimi, and homemade cream puffs. Beer was also all-you-can-drink here as well, which made my husband very happy. The baths were spacious with two different tubs, and we warmed up properly and felt refreshed. It may depend on timing, but the Onsen wasn’t crowded; after relaxing in the lounge again, we returned to our Room. Breakfast also offered many choices, and the homemade smoothies were delicious. While I was looking around for a seat with an ocean view, a staff member kindly guided us with a warm smile—I really appreciated that. It felt like about 30–40% of guests were foreigners; however, perhaps because floors are separated by Room type or area (I’m not sure), we didn’t see many of them often. At the buffets as well, everyone lined up neatly and took food in order. If I had to mention one concern: the female staff member at reception spoke very quickly so I couldn’t understand much of what she said, and at checkout she took back the key card with one hand—her response felt a bit abrupt. That said, the food was truly delicious with excellent service overall, and we had a wonderful time relaxing in our clean Room with an ocean view. Thank you very much.

I never want to stay here again.
After checking in, I went to the large public bath around 4:30, but the open-air bath was so dirty that I couldn’t stand it and left immediately. There were lots of tree branches, leaves, hair, and insects floating in it. I’ve never seen an open-air bath this filthy—it was unbearable. Since it’s outdoors, I understand some leaves or insects are unavoidable, but this was on a completely different level; no matter where I moved, the entire surface was covered and there was no way to avoid it. At check-out, there were many staff members standing at the front desk. It should have been obvious that I was checking out because I had my suitcase. The left side was assisting another guest; there were four staff members in the middle and one on the right, but not a single person spoke to me or reacted at all. I didn’t know where to go, so I went to the middle. The female staff member who assisted me stared at me with a blank “Huh?” expression even though I had my room key out—there was an awkward pause where time seemed to stop. I wondered what that moment was about. She never smiled or greeted me until the end. It left such a bad impression that by the very end I felt like never staying at this Hotel again. Rakuten Travel labels it as a luxury Accommodation, but what exactly is “luxury” about it?

Good Hotel
What I appreciated: 1) The staff were very kind and helpful. 2) The lounge service was excellent. The drinks were delicious, especially the beer. 3) The view from the Room was wonderful. 4) The Room was spacious, and the sofa could be used as a baby bed (with safety rails). 5) For a Hotel in this class, it was very good value for money. If I visit this area again, I will definitely stay at this Hotel again.

Hotel with a panoramic view of Amanohashidate
The view from the Room, with Amanohashidate clearly visible, was outstanding. Amenities are minimal, so if you have specific preferences, it’s best to bring your own. The Room was spacious, and the bed sheets were clean and comfortable. The toilet flush was a bit weak. There were many Asian tour groups, and the buffet was extremely crowded and felt hectic. The staff were generally helpful. I think this Hotel has an excellent location.

Overall satisfied, but the sashimi was disappointing.
We stayed for two nights over Golden Week on an all-inclusive plan in a sea-view Room, and enjoyed sightseeing in Amanohashidate and Maizuru. Drinks were available in the lounge from 3:00 PM, and meals were buffet-style, so we could choose what we liked and take just the right amount. Alcohol was also all-you-can-drink, which was perfect for us as a couple who enjoys drinking. That said, there were two disappointing points: 1) Sashimi quality: The squid was delicious, but the fish sashimi was not very good. Perhaps it was because we went after the peak crowd had passed, or due to sourcing. Since this is the Sea of Japan area, we had high expectations, so it was especially disappointing. 2) Lounge drinks: From 9:00 PM, non-carbonated alcoholic drinks such as whisky are also served, but for those who start dinner at 5:30 PM it feels like a long wait until then, so we didn’t make use of it on either night.

At breakfast
When I told the female attendant that I wanted to change my Reservation time from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., her expression suddenly changed and she began treating me unpleasantly. It left me in a bad mood from the morning. There were plenty of empty seats, so I had hoped she would respond to our request more courteously.

Ocean Views and Delicious Cuisine
During the busy Golden Week season, I was finally able to secure a Reservation for a standard Room. The view of the ocean from the hilltop is wonderful, although it seems to vary depending on the Room’s orientation. The Room was also very clean.\n\nAnother great perk is that drinks (including alcohol) and light snacks are free in the lounge. The draft beer was nicely chilled and delicious, and the sparkling wine really hit the spot.\n\nBoth dinner and breakfast were extremely crowded at the large buffet venue, but we were able to get seats, and every dish was enjoyable. Despite the wide variety of food on offer, I was pleased with how high-quality the ingredients were. In particular, several Western-style dishes were impressive enough that they could easily pass as upscale French cuisine if served à la carte.\n\nAlthough it’s in a somewhat isolated location on a hill at the tip of a peninsula, it was very lively with families and overseas tour groups. It may not be quiet, but overall I felt it had a pleasant level of bustle for enjoying a holiday.

The Japanese-style room has older facilities.
I chose a Japanese-style room instead of a Western-style room for convenience, but the Facility felt outdated, which was a bit disappointing. Perhaps because it was during Golden Week, the dining area was very crowded and noisy, but the food was properly replenished when it ran out. The lounge is a good service for those who drink alcohol, but it would be better if there were more seating available.

I’m satisfied.
We were happy with the Room upgrade. Although the property is a bit dated, it was very clean. It was raining, but the parking lot was close and convenient. The lounge also met our expectations, with two kinds of beer, sparkling wine, soft drinks, and snacks. The bath area was clean as well. If possible, having towels available in the large public bath would be helpful. The Sekkisei amenities and a good hair dryer were a nice touch. For dinner, the ramen noodles turned out a bit sticky because the water temperature for boiling them seemed low, but the soup was very delicious. The pho soup at breakfast was also excellent. We also got to try some of your local curry yakisoba. In addition, the strawberry jam and sauce made from strawberries grown at the Hotel, as well as the smoothies, were very tasty. The smoothie wasn’t overly sweet, so I had seconds. I did notice some stringiness in the green bean fritters, but overall everything was delicious and we left feeling full. It turned into a very satisfying Golden Week family trip. Thank you very much.
