This Plan lets you enjoy a luxurious combination of a BBQ featuring Shiga’s prized brand beef, Omi Beef, plus two distinct sauna experiences—all in one stay. For dinner, we prepare a special BBQ set featuring Omi Beef (loin, belly, kainomi flap meat, and offal) sourced from a local butcher, along with Omi Shamo chicken and Shiga-grown vegetables. Using dedicated equipment in the outdoor area, you can savor the region’s bounty surrounded by nature. For breakfast, we offer “Morning Curry,” gently waking your body with comforting spices. It’s a refreshing morning dish that pairs perfectly with your post-sauna glow. This Plan also includes access to both signature saunas at SHIGARAKI SAUNA: the “Tea Sauna” made with Asamiya Tea—Japan’s oldest tea tradition—and the “Earth Sauna,” built using the Kansai region’s first earthbag construction method. Enjoy heat and aroma that resonate with nature—along with quiet warmth—to your heart’s content. ■Saunas Tea Sauna (electric) Roasted tea leaves from “Asamiya Tea,” boasting 1,200 years of history, are used to create our special löyly water. Each pour releases fragrant steam that feels like being surrounded by tea fields. Take in views of Shigaraki’s mountain ridges as you enjoy a moment of oneness with nature. Earth Sauna (wood-burning stove) A sustainable sauna built using the Kansai region’s first earthbag construction method. Designed with inspiration from traditional climbing kilns and made by reusing discarded clay from Shigaraki pottery artists. The wood fire’s far-infrared heat warms you gently to your core.
