This Plan is a special No Meals Included Plan that lets you enjoy two distinct saunas in luxury. Choose between the “Tea Sauna” made with Asamiya Tea—Japan’s oldest tea—and the “Earth Sauna,” built using the Kansai region’s first earthbag construction method. Each offers its own unique heat, aroma, and texture—creating a deeper sense of relaxation found only here. No meals are provided. Please bring your favorite ingredients and enjoy your stay in your own style. Surrounded by nature in a quiet setting, take time to reset your body and mind without watching the clock. ■Saunas Tea Sauna (electric) Roasted tea leaves from Asamiya Tea, with 1,200 years of history, are used to create our special löyly water. Each pour releases fragrant steam that feels like being surrounded by tea fields. Enjoy a moment of oneness with nature while taking in views of Shigaraki’s mountain ridges. Earth Sauna (wood-burning stove) An “earth sauna” that harnesses natural power using Kansai’s first earthbag construction method. Made by reusing discarded clay from Shigaraki ware artists’ production processes—blending environmental care with traditional aesthetics. The earthen structure seems to “breathe,” gently enveloping you in humidity and warmth within a uniquely soothing space. By car: ・Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes from Umeda (Osaka) via expressway. Exiting at Keiji Bypass “Ishiyama IC” provides smooth access. ・Approx. 1 hour 45 minutes from Nagoya (Aichi) via expressway. Exiting at Meishin Expressway “Shigaraki IC” provides smooth access. When traveling early morning or at night from any direction, please watch for wildlife crossing unexpectedly. In winter there may be icy roads—please drive safely. A SHIGARAKI SAUNA signboard is installed near the Facility as a landmark.
