Anniversaries come in many forms. This Anniversary Plan lets you celebrate a special day with someone important—or a milestone you want to cherish—at “SHIGARAKI SAUNA,” a private rental sauna Accommodation surrounded by Shigaraki’s nature. With this Plan, we will prepare either one cake or one bouquet per Reservation. Because it’s an important anniversary, enjoy an experience that feels a little different from the usual. In addition to the “Tea Sauna” featuring Japan’s oldest tea, Asamiya Tea, you can also use the “Earth Sauna,” Kansai’s first earthbag-built sauna. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind moment wrapped in the warmth of earth and the heat of a wood-burning stove. No meals are provided. Please bring your own ingredients and drinks and enjoy complete privacy at your own pace. ■ Anniversary Benefits - Either one cake or one bouquet (one item per Reservation) * Limited to one item per Reservation; you cannot choose both. * You cannot choose the type of cake or the bouquet’s color scheme/design. ■ Saunas Tea Sauna (electric) Roasted Asamiya tea leaves with 1,200 years of history are used to create our special löyly water. Enjoy time surrounded by fragrant steam while taking in views of Shigaraki’s mountain range. Earth Sauna (wood-burning stove) Kansai’s first earthbag sauna, made by reusing discarded clay from Shigaraki ware artists’ production process. About 1 hour 30 minutes by car from around Umeda (Osaka), and about 1 hour 45 minutes from around Nagoya. Please watch for wildlife crossing early morning/nighttime; roads may freeze in winter.
