    The Room was good.

I stayed with a friend at Sagamiji, which is said to have the best view. The room had a truly great view, with luxurious amenities, a fridge with free drinks, and of course, the open-air bath was also nice. Additionally, while many places offer tea bags, there was delicious tea in a tea canister. The massage chair was also very comfortable. In the post-bath area, there was water, ice, and in the morning, Yakult, which was a nice touch. However, once you stepped out of the room, the hallway was musty and full of stains. The meal was at a seat where you could see the illuminated garden, and the atmosphere was very nice, but the seasoning of the dishes was a bit off. The menu felt like a mix of Japanese and Western, and I can't say it was delicious. Also, since most of the staff were foreigners, I felt a bit of discomfort with the way they served tea and food. It was disappointing because the room was so nice. It was nice that there were various services, such as shuttle service and various benefits for diamond members. I understood why the reviews were mixed and headed home. The conversation with the staff who took us to the station on the way back was enjoyable.

The purpose this time was to take my mother, so I think it was good that she was pleased. The motor of the room's refrigerator seemed old, and the noise suddenly became loud in the morning, disturbing our sleep. Also, the driving of the shuttle service was very rough, which made me quite worried. These two points concerned me. I felt that the overseas staff were working very hard.

The best Stays of my life!!

From the shuttle service to the room guidance, restaurant, and all the staff's thoughtfulness and hospitality were pleasant. My grandmother and mother, who have visited various ryokans across Japan, were also very satisfied and kept saying they wanted to stay another night. The meals at night and in the morning were served in delicate and beautiful dishes that evoked the feeling of autumn, and we could enjoy them visually as well as taste-wise. I have never visited the same ryokan before because I want to visit various ryokans, but I truly wish to visit this property again with my child who will be born. Thank you very much for a truly wonderful time.

    Wonderful

A little luxury. I wanted to stay at a Ryokan, so I made a reservation. The room was very clean, cute, and perfect. And the most troublesome thing at a Ryokan is the meal. A little less. It was so ideal that I think every Ryokan should have this perfect amount. The hospitality of the Ryokan staff was also very good, and I couldn't find a single bad point. It was great to stay at a luxurious Ryokan!

The open-air bath with natural hot spring water in the guest room was excellent.

I forgot to make a Shuttle Service reservation for our annual trip with a friend, but I received a confirmation call the day before, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Kind and courteous service, a wonderful room that freed us from everyday life. We enjoyed delicious food while having lively conversations. After the meal, we enjoyed a moonlit bath with a beer in hand.

A property I would like to visit again with my children.

We visited with an infant less than a year old. The staff provided very courteous service in the calm and warm atmosphere of the facility. Unfortunately, it was raining, but we were able to enjoy the unique scenery that can be appreciated only in the rain. There were some dishes at dinner that I wished were served warmer, but the breakfast was truly delicious. It seems that there is no preparation of soft water in the facility, so for those who are particular about water quality, I recommend bringing extra. Overall, we had a truly luxurious time. The open-air bath attached to the Room was excellent. Thank you very much.

    The best location

For my husband's 60th birthday celebration, I decided to choose a luxurious Stays, attracted by the beautiful photos and positive Reviews. We chose the Katsuragi Room. Upon arrival, our luggage was carried from the car, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff at the entrance, making me think, "Ryokan is really nice," as we checked in at the lobby. Although it was mid-October, it was somewhat hot, so the cold Japanese tea as a welcome drink was delightful. We were guided to our Room, and as soon as the door opened, the view that spread across the large window was breathtaking. It was so stunning that I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow!" even though I had seen the photos repeatedly on the website. The Room was spacious and very beautiful, so we first had a photo session! After that, we immediately soaked in the open-air bath in the Room and enjoyed a relaxing time until dinner. The food was delicious, and the dishes and presentation were lovely, with each dish being explained carefully as it was brought to us. The graceful demeanor of the female staff made the food taste even better. We were also pleased with the thoughtful offer to bring the dessert to our Room. Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and choosing the egg preparation method and type of fish was enjoyable. The freshly cooked rice was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. The bath in the Room was at the perfect temperature and had a maximum sense of openness, so we didn't visit the large public bath even once, but we did enjoy the small ice creams and Yakult prepared at the entrance of the large public bath (laughs). The Room, the food, the hospitality, the smiles of the staff—everything was perfect. There was a cherry tree outside the Room, so I can't help but hope to visit again in spring. Thank you for everything.

It was a very good Stays.

The environment was very quiet and calm, and the property was clean. The room was spacious, well-equipped with amenities, and thoroughly cleaned. The staff were all friendly, making our stay enjoyable. The meal portions are generous, so it's best to go with an empty stomach. The seasoning was good and received high praise from the whole family! The rice was particularly delicious. It has become one of the properties we want to visit again.

    Family trip with a baby

This was my first time using the Stays as it is a "Welcome Baby" Property. I am very grateful that meals suitable for children under one year old are provided. The Room amenities were also well-equipped. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The hospitality and food were wonderful!

There were some old parts in the facility, but the hospitality and meals were simply wonderful! The staff was really attentive to each guest! As it is a "Welcome Baby" property, it was very accommodating for families with children! Both the adult and children's meals were very luxurious and satisfying. The amenities and services were also plentiful, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay. It was a property that makes you want to visit again!

Problems with the renovation of the old Ryokan

Due to the wooden structure of the building, when children were running around in the room upstairs, it resonated in our room below, making it difficult to relax. Since I believe there are many elderly guests who come to relax in the onsen, I would appreciate it if you could consider imposing restrictions on the stay of small children. Since our room was on the lowest floor, we always had to go up and down long steep stairs, which was difficult and dangerous for me as I have to walk with a cane. I would like it to be clearly stated in the guide that there is no elevator, that it is not suitable for guests with physical disabilities, and that wheelchairs cannot be used.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Stayed at Stays Sakura with my spouse. We were impressed by the brightness, cleanliness, and sense of openness upon entering the room. Moreover, the guest room's open-air bath is a flowing Onsen! Enjoying the happiness of being able to bathe multiple times from bright hours with a free beer from the fridge in hand, wearing a bathrobe and sitting on an outdoor chair. We were able to fully enjoy the Onsen. Dinner was, of course, delicious, and breakfast was also very tasty, but perhaps because it was just the two of us, we dined at the counter. It would have been nice to have a table seat to enjoy a leisurely meal. We were very satisfied with the guest room's open-air bath, enjoying the Onsen leisurely both at night and in the morning. The staff's response was good, and it was a very comfortable property. Since the property is located on a slope, there are many stairs, so we recommend confirming at the time of reservation if you have concerns about going up and down stairs.

    Annual event in October

Every year, we go on trips three times during winter, spring, and autumn. This time, since both of our birthdays are in October, we make it an annual commemorative trip. We found Ashikari while searching on YouTube and made a Reservation. We stayed in a semi-suite Room, and the Room with an open-air bath terrace was spacious and relaxing, which was great.

    For a belated birthday celebration,

We used Ashikari for the first time for my father's and my birthday. The staff provided very pleasant service, and the room and the open-air bath in the room were also very wonderful. Above all, the beauty of the presentation of the meals was impressive, and the taste was extremely delicious. Finally, I felt the warmth of the property when the attendant brought the birthday cake we had requested and sang the Happy Birthday song. We would definitely like to visit again.

    1-year-old son's birthday trip

We stayed with our 1-year and 3-month-old child as a couple in our 30s. We chose this place after seeing reviews and the fact that it is a "Welcome Baby Ryokan." The result was complete satisfaction! We got caught in traffic and ended up checking in in the evening, and we regretted not arriving earlier because it is such a wonderful property. The room was "Sawara." Except for the entrance, there were no steps in the room, so our son could walk around safely. We had both dinner and breakfast in the room and had also requested meals for our child. The dishes were Anpanman-themed, and our son was delighted and almost finished everything. The adult meals were delicious, with various ingredients and cooking methods, which was very impressive. The bath could be easily adjusted to be hot or lukewarm, so our son could enjoy it too. The welcome drinks included two bottles of Premium Malts beer, two bottles of oolong tea, three mandarin orange jellies, and six bottles of mineral water in the fridge, which made the three of us very satisfied. The room was also very satisfying, but above all, the staff were friendly and kind to our son, which healed our hearts. There is also a toy rental service. Our child enjoyed playing with Anpanman toys and watching YouTube and Netflix on the room's TV! It is a property that makes you want to visit again. The three of us made very good memories. Thank you very much.

A Ryokan with excellent cuisine and hospitality.

This time, after completing a challenging year-long job, I decided to visit Ashikari-san, which I had been curious about for a while, as a reward. [Room & Room Bath] The room had a high ceiling and a full glass window, providing a sense of openness and a very nice design. The air conditioning worked well, allowing for a comfortable stay. The open-air bath attached to the room was also fed by a natural hot spring, and although it took some time to adjust the water to the right temperature, I was able to enjoy it leisurely. I thought the amenities were of high quality, and the free drinks were plentiful, which was great. I wanted to do some writing, but I thought it would have been better if the desk was a bit larger and sturdier. [Meals] We had our meals at the dining area. The staff moved briskly, and the serving speed was appropriate, so I never got bored and thought they were very attentive. As for the main dishes, I chose the standard plan this time, and the cuisine was wonderful, befitting the name of a kaiseki ryokan. The portions were satisfying enough, and you need to have a good appetite, or you'll get full, so a light lunch is recommended. The breakfast also used good quality ingredients, but since the property prides itself on its cuisine, I thought I could enjoy the skills and chose Saikyo-yaki and dashimaki tamago. This was the right choice. The Saikyo-yaki was thick, and the dashimaki tamago was so flavorful that I thought there wasn't enough rice. [Large Public Bath] Since the property has relatively few guest rooms, there isn't an extremely large open-air bath, but it feels just right. There was a family with children at check-in, but I happened to have the bath to myself without any other guests. The only slight disappointment was that although the changing room was cleaned, the white floor made the fallen hair quite noticeable, which was a bit surprising. I used a lint roller to clean it up, but since many people use the area, it would be even more comfortable if this could be addressed. Personally, I often use onsens around Hakone and Izu, and especially regarding the cuisine, the quality is comparable to ryokans with slightly higher prices, so while it's not a cheap property, I think you can experience an extraordinary stay that's well worth the price. I recommend it.

    It was excellent.

Stayed with parents, daughter and her husband, and a 4-month-old grandchild. We were looking for a place with in-room dining and an onsen in the room, and this was the best property certified as "Welcome Baby." They kindly accommodated various requests, making it a safe and relaxing first trip with the baby. [Room] Bright and spacious, with a massage chair. Many recent hotels and ryokans have dim lighting, but this property allowed for both bright and dim lighting, making it very comfortable. [Public Bath] Enjoyed plenty of towels, barley tea, lemon water, and small ice creams from the fridge in front of the bath. Although I understand it's for hygiene reasons, there was a slight chlorine smell, indicating it's not directly from the source. [In-room Bath] A very large tub with gentle spring quality, equipped with handrails and non-slip material, allowing for a safe bath. The terrace was also spacious and very pleasant. [In-room Dining] In-room dining was appreciated by my husband with back issues, as it was served at a dining table. The food was very delicious, and we felt the chef's meticulous care. Our family doesn't drink alcohol and tends to eat quickly, but thanks to the attentive staff, we didn't have to wait, and the service was excellent. Breakfast included a variety of grilled fish and side dishes to accompany rice, and everyone had seconds. The granola yogurt was also delicious! We were very satisfied with the meals, bath, and service. It was a wonderful ryokan.

    The Room is excellent!

I stayed in a Room at Sagamiji. Since I was pregnant, I chose a place where I could relax and unwind in the Room as my top priority. The Room was brighter than I imagined with two glass walls, and I exclaimed "Wow!" when I entered. There were many places to relax, such as a large sofa, a wide tatami mat, a chair for looking out the window, and an outdoor sofa next to the open-air bath, allowing me to choose my favorite spot like a cat and relax in the Room. I was concerned that the open-air bath might be visible from the surroundings, but the blinds were well-maintained, so I could enter safely in the morning and evening! As I was pregnant, it was a bit challenging to use the stairs to the dining area and large bath, but Sagamiji was conveniently close, which was great. Also, thank you for providing non-caffeinated hojicha and rooibos tea.

    I was very satisfied!

It felt like the warmth of a traditional Ryokan and the casualness of a Hotel were truly well integrated. The food was also very delicious, and the excellent coordination with the staff serving it made me think it truly lives up to its reputation as a culinary Ryokan. All the staff were very pleasant. I would definitely like to find an opportunity to visit again.

The accommodation was perfect for families with children.

We visited with three families to celebrate my father's retirement. I got the impression that there were many foreign staff, but they were all well-trained and kindly talked to and played with my sister's children. I felt that they were doing their best despite the challenges of being in a country with a different culture. The food was delicious and satisfying. It was an inn where I would definitely like to stay again on another occasion. I hope they continue to maintain this high level of hospitality.

This was my first time staying here. The private open-air bath in the room was amazing, and I used it several times. The meals were very delicately seasoned and delicious. Expecting too much from a luxury kaiseki ryokan...!?

It was very disappointing that I could only use the open-air bath in the room, which I was most looking forward to, once during the day. The reason is that at night, a swarm of stink bugs invaded, and I couldn't bring myself to get naked. So it's impossible except in the middle of winter!! But it's too cold then, so that's impossible too!!

    Three-generation trip

We stayed for the first time with my husband, daughter, and grandchild. The room was spacious and clean, and the meals served in the room were very delicious. There were various baby food menu options, and they all seemed tasty as my grandchild ate a lot. The staff's service was courteous and excellent. All the staff seemed to love children, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay with peace of mind. I think this is an inn where both families with children and adults can be healed and refreshed. One thing I noticed was the temperature of the refrigerator. It would be nice if it were a bit cooler so drinks could be colder. Thank you for the memorable two days.

We had a very enjoyable stay with our 0-year-old baby. The baby food menu was more extensive than we imagined, and we felt reassured as we could choose the porridge from 1 to 10 times concentration. There was also a Bumbo available for rent. The staff were kind and affectionate towards our baby. The meals for adults were also very delicious. We would definitely like to visit again.

It was a very lovely inn.

We visited to celebrate a family birthday and our child's first trip. First of all, the room was absolutely wonderful! We had high expectations from the photos, but it exceeded them, and we were very satisfied with just that. Since we chose the Welcome Baby Plan, we were grateful to find a baby bath and a guard to prevent falling from the bed already prepared in the room. We requested an additional futon for the child, and they promptly and willingly brought it to us. The meals were very gentle in flavor and delicious. The speed at which they were served was just right, allowing us to savor them leisurely even with a child. We also requested additional porridge for the child, and it seemed to be tasty as they ate it well. The bath in the room was pleasant and very relaxing. All the staff members were pleasant and kindly spoke to our child, which made us happy. We had a truly wonderful time! Thank you very much.

As a man in his thirties, I stayed with my grandmother and mother, and we were extremely satisfied with this accommodation. I would definitely like to stay again. We stayed in the "Sagami Road" room, and everything from the room size, interior, amenities, to the view was excellent. There were yoga mats and speakers installed, so I enjoyed stretching. There was also a massage chair, which helped to relax my muscles. The bath in the room is quite hot, so you need to add water to cool it down. It was a bit of a hassle because it was too hot to enter as it was...! The dinner was standard, but every dish was well-prepared and the portions were generous. Even for a man in his thirties, it was a filling amount!

We stayed for our first family trip with our 0-year-old child. The baby amenities were well-equipped and very helpful. The room was spacious and clean, and the child seemed to enjoy moving around, while the adults were soothed by the open-air bath and massage chair. The staff were warm and made our stay comfortable. The person in charge of serving meals talked a lot to our child, which made the child happy. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. We only used the large public bath a little, but the view was so beautiful that it was impressive. The private open-air bath in the room was hot, so it would have been nice if we could continuously run water. Also, I was slightly concerned that the request for a nap futon rental seemed to have been forgotten. We had a very comfortable stay for two days and were very satisfied. Wonderful cuisine and attentive hospitality.

The room had a very high ceiling and a wonderful view that gave a sense of openness. The open-air bath was also spacious, and the gentle quality of the hot spring was healing. As the name "Kaiseki Ryokan" suggests, the food was wonderfully delicious and very satisfying. You can see the chef's skill in the excellent dishes. All the staff were considerate and responded with smiles. The foreign staff were also very good at Japanese, speaking clearly without speaking too fast. It's clear that they have good guidance. In some foreign-owned hotels, foreign staff who speak Japanese tend to speak quickly and are hard to understand, but there was no such issue here. I would definitely like to use it again. Thank you very much.
