    The hospitality at this Stays is wonderful.

    We visited shortly after the New Year with our family, including two preschool children. The entrance was beautifully decorated with New Year's flowers and kadomatsu, and during the check-in process, we were treated to tangerines and Hakone mountain sake, allowing us to enjoy the New Year's atmosphere. Our children received juice in cute Anpanman glasses, and we were surprised with my husband that they were only hand-washable glasses. Our room was at the very bottom of the stairs, and since it was noted as (40 steps) at the time of reservation, we were prepared for it, which was good. Although we hadn't specifically mentioned it, they had already prepared a diaper trash can and wipes in the room, which was very much appreciated. We had dinner at the dining area, but there was a moment when our child raised their voice a bit, and we overheard another family asking to change seats. We tried to distract our child and eat quickly to avoid causing trouble, and when we asked the staff if they could serve the meal a bit faster, they kindly obliged and brought the courses promptly, which was very helpful. Even then, they didn't skip the explanation of the dishes and provided necessary information, like how to enjoy the food best, which was very much appreciated. They also suggested, "Would you like us to bring the dessert to your room?" which was very helpful as we were feeling a bit awkward. Additionally, they kindly brought drinks along, saying they thought we couldn't enjoy the meal leisurely, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. All the staff we passed by greeted us with smiles, and the hospitality was excellent. The bath in the room was very spacious, and we could enjoy it comfortably. One point, although it couldn't be helped, was that the hallway and room were very cold, and we had the heater running at full capacity. The changing room was tiled, and while adults could manage with indoor slippers, the children's feet got cold quickly even after warming up in the bath, so they went back to the onsen several times. (laughs)

    We were able to fully enjoy the New Year's atmosphere.

    The sense of openness and brightness of the room was wonderful, and the open-air bath attached to the room was bathed in sunlight filtering through the trees. We enjoyed the free-flowing Onsen with our family while listening to the sounds of wild birds. The staff's service was natural and attentive, and we enjoyed conversations about local specialties and famous ramen shops even in the shuttle service. Since we brought our elderly mother, the many stairs between the room and the dining area were a bit challenging for her, but we managed. The cuisine was a menu that allowed us to fully enjoy the New Year's atmosphere, skillfully utilizing local ingredients, and we were satisfied. The New Year's ikebana decorations throughout the corridors were also lovely. We would love to visit again.

    It was a wonderful Stays.

    I stayed for the first time during my New Year's trip. The view from the Room's bath was spectacular, and I used it many times. The large public bath was also very clean. The meals were deliciously seasoned, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. The service from everyone was excellent, and I was very satisfied. I would love to come and stay again.

    The Supreme Stays

    We stayed during the first three days of the New Year for a family trip. We used the "Katsuragi" room, where light streamed in through the glass windows covering one side of the room, and the view from the hill was also wonderful, allowing us to spend a peaceful time until checkout. The open-air bath attached to the room was a free-flowing hot spring, and we could have the space, including the above-mentioned view, all to ourselves, which was very satisfying. As for the meals, both dinner and breakfast were elaborate, incorporating plenty of seasonal ingredients, and we enjoyed not only the taste but also the visual presentation. It was also hearty, giving a sense of value. Above all, I think the charm of Ashikari-san lies in their customer service. We visited by car, and from the guidance at the parking lot to the checkout, the staff's courteous and heartfelt service was wonderful and left a deep impression. There was a cherry tree very close to the room, and I thought I would like to visit again during the cherry blossom season as I headed home. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Spend the New Year with my daughter and her husband.

    We spent the end of the year with our daughter and her husband. Our 3-year-old grandchild was also with us, and we appreciated the attention to detail that made our year-end trip comfortable. The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied. We would like to use this service again if we have the opportunity.

    Relax on your year-end trip!

    I thought it would be difficult to travel far for a year-end trip, so I made my first visit to this Stays in the nearby "Yugawara." This time, the Room was "Sagami Road." As the Property is located on a hill, the view from the Room was excellent, offering a panoramic view of the Onsen town. Although there was a large public bath, the open-air bath in the Room was so pleasant that I stayed in the Room's open-air bath the whole time. With a large sofa, massage chair, bed, and large-screen TV, it was truly too comfortable. There were no luxurious lounges or Facilities in the building, but ice cream and coffee were available next to the front desk, and juice and bite-sized ice cream were provided next to the large public bath, and the Room's refrigerator was free, so it was sufficient. I thought the dinner looked and tasted good. Just one point, the main fillet meat wrapped in pie had a strong buttery flavor, and since it was served with fruit sauce, it was a bit disappointing that it didn't taste very good. It might have been better if it had been grilled normally. Finally, the white rice recommended with real wasabi on top was the best! Freshly grated real wasabi has a completely different aroma. I must say, that rice was the most impressive. The breakfast had a good balance of dishes, and you could choose the main grilled dish. I had the grilled flounder with Saikyo miso, and it was very delicious. The absence of small bones made it easy to eat, which was nice. The Room was very comfortable, so if meals could be served in the Room, the satisfaction level would be perfect, but it might be difficult in this Property built on a slope with many stairs. There were several overseas staff members, but all of them spoke Japanese really well! The polite service was very pleasant. Of course, the Japanese staff were also wonderful and attentive. It was the right choice to select this Property because it was nearby! I would like to visit again.

    This is the third time this year (lol).

    At the end of the year, I gift my mother a trip as a token of gratitude, and both my mother and I love Ashikari. This year marks our third visit. The warm-hearted staff provide thoughtful hospitality, the food is very delicious, the hot springs are excellent, and we enjoy a happy time every year. We look forward to visiting again next year, so please continue to take care of us!

    Wonderful Stays

    This is a wonderful Stays that always provides a high level of satisfaction. The view from the private open-air bath in the room is excellent, allowing you to relax and unwind. Additionally, the hospitality of the staff and the delicious meals are truly soothing. The variety of complimentary drinks and ice cream outside the rooms has also increased, which was a pleasant surprise. I am satisfied with everything.

    A blissful moment!

    I wanted to heal the fatigue of the past year, so I visited for the first time with my 8-month-old child using the Welcome Baby Plan! The Room had a high ceiling, and the glass windows allowed us to enjoy views of the courtyard and mountains. It was clean, spacious, and very relaxing! Additionally, the stylish design without unnecessary partitions made it easy to keep an eye on the child, which was very pleasing! The private open-air bath attached to the Room was just the right size, allowing us to relax while enjoying the view, and we had the best time! Both dinner and breakfast were simply "the best!" They were truly delicious, and we felt very happy! We had the meals in the Room, so we didn't have to worry about disturbing others because of the child, allowing us to enjoy the best meals at a leisurely pace. It was truly the best! The service provided by the attendant was also excellent! When the child seemed sleepy, they kindly asked, "Shall we serve the dishes a little earlier?" They also called the child by name and spoke to us with a smile, allowing us to enjoy delicious food and a pleasant, wonderful time. We are grateful! In front of the large bath, there were ice creams and drinks, and the amenities were well-stocked, including baby items like body soap, wipes, and diaper bags. We could feel the high level of service at the Ryokan in various aspects! This time, we discovered the Ryokan through the keyword "Welcome Baby," but it was such a wonderful Ryokan that even when the child grows up, we would definitely want to visit again!

    The staff at the Sta...

    The staff at the Stays were all very kind. They helped carry my heavy luggage both at check-in and check-out, which was very helpful. I was also very pleased with the complimentary ice cream and beer service. If possible, I think having a bit more partitioning in the Room would make the stay more comfortable. Additionally, having an elevator or a gentle slope would make it easier for those with mobility issues to use the facilities.

    It was excellent.

    We used this Ryokan to celebrate my husband's birthday. The interior was clean, and both the lobby and the Room had a calming wooden scent. Above all, the open-air bath in the guest Room was the best. We travel to various places, but personally, this Ryokan had the most pleasant open-air bath I've experienced. Additionally, since we are newlyweds and it was my husband's birthday, the staff kindly gifted us a cute handkerchief and drinks. They were very kind, taking photos for us and bringing drinks to our Room. The staff's thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. My husband, who is usually tired from work, was able to relax and was very pleased, making me glad we chose this Ryokan. It became a very good memory for me as well. We would love to visit again as a couple. Thank you very much for everything.

    Unfortunately, it was a family trip because my family happened to have a holiday. The Room was clean. The hallway leading there was full of stains. Dinner was terrible; the wine pairing didn't come out unless we asked. Breakfast took 15 minutes to arrive. It was the worst. I ended up feeling tired even though I went on a holiday.

    It seems like a property undergoing renovation, so there were some parts where the age showed, but the room, meals, and service were excellent, making such concerns irrelevant. A property that attends to every detail. Ice cream and beverage service are available right outside the bath. Coffee is available in the lobby. These small touches, like being able to take some on the way home, are delightful. The meals are plentiful, visually beautiful, and the conversation with the person in charge was enjoyable. Breakfast was elegantly enjoyed while viewing the garden. It was a property that makes you want to visit again.

    To celebrate passing the university entrance exam

    This is my second stay. Last time was with my mother, and this time we celebrated my daughter's university acceptance with a family meal at the dining area. We ordered a cake separately in advance, and as a surprise for my daughter, the staff brought it along with a bouquet we had prepared. Other guests joined in with applause, making it a very happy time for our family. The whole cake was brought to our room, and to our surprise, the holes from the candles that had been placed earlier were beautifully gone. We were once again impressed by the meticulous service and look forward to staying again next time.

    It was a very kind Stays.

    We used this place for our first family trip as our child turned one year old. We had a lot of luggage, but we felt very welcomed and reassured from the moment we arrived. They provided baby body soap and wipes, and we were surprised to find yukatas available as well. The Room was spacious, with enough space for our child to walk around, and we enjoyed the outside balcony too. At the dining area, even though our child was fussy and it took some time, they lent us toys and talked to us, which was very touching. The meals were delicious, the spa was refreshing, and we received excellent hospitality until the end, making it a wonderful family trip memory.

    The hospitality and the atmosphere of the room are very good at this Stays.

    It was my first visit. Even when I got lost by car before arriving at the Stays, they guided me very politely, and when I arrived, they welcomed me warmly. The room they guided me to was called Asuka, and including the balcony, it was 60 square meters, with high ceilings, facing a garden with a great view, creating a very open and spacious, comfortable space. The lighting color and installation were tasteful, and the door facing the garden was entirely glass, giving the whole room a luxurious atmosphere, making it the perfect space to escape daily life and heal everyday fatigue. The amenities were good, but it was also great that the default items, such as mobile phone chargers and free drinks, were well-stocked. The meals at the Property were also very delicious, allowing us to enjoy seasonal ingredients, and perhaps because they used healthy ingredients or the cooking method was excellent, there was no indigestion, and we could eat everything without leaving anything behind. Moreover, the person who attended to us during the meal was very friendly and provided kind and courteous service, making the conversation flow naturally and creating a very enjoyable time. Such service makes me want to visit again, and it was excellent hospitality that made both my spouse and me very satisfied. Also, I happened to overhear that during breakfast, a guest at the next table seemed unable to eat breakfast and did not appear to be present, but the service staff proactively prepared something that could be eaten in the room, which was very kind and considerate, and I was impressed. It is a wonderful Property that I can proudly recommend. I would like to visit again.

    First Stays

    I stayed for the first time. The staff welcomed me with smiles, which was very nice. The meals were also accommodating not only to allergies but also to ingredients I dislike, and both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented and very delicious. The amenities were well-equipped, and the temperature of the onsen was just right and felt great. Everything was perfect, but if I had to say, (considering it was winter) the walk from the shower room to the outdoor bath was cold, and the floor was chilly, so I rated it 4 stars (honestly, it's 4.8). I will stay again!

    The Onsen in Yugawar...

    The Onsen in Yugawara that can be enjoyed in the private open-air bath in the room was truly the best. Your skin becomes smooth even without applying body cream. From the room, you could see the beautifully colored autumn leaves, and the large windows allowed for a relaxing view (early December). However, it was a bit disappointing that the garden seemed unkempt, possibly because it was no longer accessible. The entrance door (genkan) is thin, and you can hear voices from the hallway clearly. The hallway is extremely cold. But above all, the smiles and responsiveness of the staff, as well as the proficiency and pleasant volume of the foreign staff's Japanese, were very comforting. Thanks to everyone, I believe we were able to enjoy a wonderful time.

    The best hospitality

    I made a reservation as a wedding gift and birthday present. To conclude, I was extremely satisfied! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the hospitality made us feel at ease. The atmosphere, scenery, and design of the property were unique and exciting, and we were guided to our room with a sense of anticipation. The room we reserved this time was a guest room called "Kaguyama," which is open and allows you to feel an extraordinary sense of freedom. It is a very lovely room. (Some people have written negatively about it in other reviews, so I think it's a matter of preference.) Both dinner and breakfast were extremely delicious, and the kaiseki cuisine was enjoyable in both taste and appearance, making our hearts dance at every moment! They even provided hospitality for our wedding celebration, which made us feel very happy and warm. It is a property we would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    Healing Time

    We used it for the first time as a couple on my birthday. We were amazed and impressed by the brightness, spaciousness, and openness when we entered the Room. The autumn leaves seen from the window were beautiful, and the beauty of the autumn leaves bathed in the morning sun the next morning made us happy and healed again. All the dishes were delicious, and we chose the small portion course, which was just the right amount for us. The staff were all friendly and made us feel comfortable. Even though it was a two-day, one-night stay, we felt like we had a really relaxing time. Thank you very much. We are talking about visiting during the cherry blossom season next time.

    The view from the bath is excellent.

    I stayed here because I was very satisfied with a previous stay at a related Stays. The welcome upon arrival at the Property was with a smile and left a very good impression. The view from the Room's bath was excellent, and although there were places where it could be seen from another Room depending on the angle, the bath with a view of the beautiful courtyard was exceptional. I would definitely like to visit again.

    Exquisite cuisine, a tranquil environment, a Room with a spacious open-air bath with smooth and pleasant water, and first-class staff service made for a truly comfortable stay. It was a moment of healing. I would love to visit again. The only downside was the occasional smell of tobacco while bathing. It seems there is a smoking area, but it would be even better if the entire facility were non-smoking.

    We visited for a commemorative trip to celebrate a 60th birthday and our child's advancement in school and job offer. From the entrance, it felt like a different world, and it was a very lovely property. The room was equipped with an open-air bath and was spacious, allowing us to relax very comfortably. The meals were specially prepared, and everything we ate was delicious, with stylish tableware, making it truly wonderful. A red vest was prepared for the 60th birthday celebration, and we even received a gift, which was truly humbling. The interior has been renovated, and the amenities are abundant, making it a truly excellent property. We would love to visit again.

    It was the first property I wanted to repeat.

    Since the end of August last year, we have been using a property with a private open-air bath in the room approximately every three months. This time, it was a trip to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. After checking in, we were guided to our room (Tamai) through a slightly dim corridor with a Showa-era atmosphere. As soon as we opened the door at the entrance, the sunlight from outside was bright, and we were amazed by the contrast between the renovated interior and the corridor with a Showa-era atmosphere. The room was very spacious, and we enjoyed the slowly flowing time while relaxing on the daybed and looking at the outside scenery, feeling refreshed. For meals, we used the "small kaiseki" included in the plan. We were worried about the word "small," but it was a sufficient amount, and we were full. During the meal, the butler explained the ingredients and provided guidance on how to eat, saying, "I recommend enjoying it this way." The guidance was not pushy but subtle, leaving a very good impression, and we were able to enjoy the meal even more. If I had to point out some concerns, ① The sound of the refrigerator was bothersome at night. ② I thought it would be nice if the dining table was partitioned. ③ At check-in, there was a section to fill in the guest's birthday, but I thought it would be good to have a section for the partner's birthday as well. Until now, I thought about staying at various properties, but I would like to use "Ashikari" every year for my wife's birthday.

    It was very disappointing.

    I used it for my birthday. It was the lowest level among the Stays I've been to. At this price, I thought it was a pricing mistake for something so terrible. First, the Room was a studio type, with a bed immediately to the right upon entering (the bed is right next to the entrance, with no wall), a toilet built into the living area, a meaningless tatami mat in the middle, slugs in the shower room, the Room's light switches were difficult to use, and to turn everything off, you had to cut the main power, which meant the toilet light wouldn't work either. There was little space to put things, and there was nothing that tasted good in the meals. The birthday plate was so poor that I've never seen such a plate. All the staff were foreigners, and only at checkout was there a Japanese person, but the send-off was completely lacking in sincerity, making it a sad birthday. I'm not exaggerating; this is my honest impression. Even at half the price I paid, the service and Room did not match, and I truly think it was terrible. I would like to receive a comment from the Property.
