Participating in an event at INTEX Osaka

I made a Reservation as I attended an event at INTEX Osaka with my friend. The guest room was clean and tidy, but the bathroom and toilet were combined, and the entrance door had no lock, which allowed anyone to enter. It would be better if it had a lock. We had our meal at The Café. They were hosting a Hawaii Fair, and all the dishes were delicious; however, it was disappointing that drinks other than water cost 800 yen for soft drinks, and alcohol was also charged separately. Overall, the guest room was clean, the staff's service was excellent, and parking was free until 3 PM. I think this Hotel is great for those attending events nearby.

    Unfortunately!

Since I was staying with my child, I didn't mind whether the bed was a king or twin. On IKYU.com, I decided to make a Reservation for this Hotel after looking at photos of the Club Premier Room. The king bed Room had a city view with high-rise buildings, while the twin Room offered an ocean view. However, even after reading the Plan details multiple times, there was no mention of city or ocean views. So, I reserved the twin Room with an ocean view. Check-in took quite some time due to what seemed like a shortage of staff. As a Diamond member, I received discount vouchers for the Hotel's restaurant and late check-out privileges; however, late check-out wasn't possible because they claimed it was fully booked that day. Yet on IKYU.com that same day, many Rooms appeared available. When I entered my Room, I was shocked—it was not an ocean-view but rather a city-view twin Room! Unbelievable! Despite reserving based on photos showing an ocean-view Room and being a Diamond member expecting potential upgrades if available—I felt downgraded instead! This felt like outright fraud. Frustrated and upset, I called reception to complain and finally got moved to the correct Room as shown in their photos. They had initially claimed full occupancy during check-in—clearly untrue since they managed to switch my Room later! The experience left me extremely dissatisfied; what should have been an enjoyable stay turned into disappointment. That said—the actual ocean view from my new room was stunning! The sushi teppanyaki restaurant on B1 floor served delicious food; staff service overall was good too. Breakfast options were limited but tasty nonetheless. If they'd given me the correct ocean-view room from the start—5 stars without question! But given how shady everything felt—I won't be returning again.

    Breakfast needs immediate improvement.

The original design seems excellent, and the facility is outstanding. The guest rooms have been renovated and are comfortable. Although the bathrooms are not renovated, they are well-maintained, spacious, and sufficient. The service was generally good. Points of concern: - It is convenient to request amenities; however, since information is not passed on properly, it becomes necessary to contact the staff every time cleaning occurs, which is bothersome. I have never stayed during its Hyatt days so cannot compare, but this does not happen at Hyatt in Tokyo—perhaps a policy of Prince Hotel? - Tried to have dinner within the hotel but was told all restaurants except for the bar were fully booked at all times. Ended up having light snacks at the bar which remained almost empty until 9 PM. Other restaurants also appeared to have vacant seats when checked from outside. The Japanese restaurant showed no availability online for any time slot but suddenly became fully booked around 5 PM—possibly an operational issue? There seemed to be many group guests staying as well; however, individual guests should also be valued. - The capacity of the all-day dining area is too small for a hotel with over 400 rooms. As expected, on the second day it was full and we were directed to an alternative venue (a ballroom). However, compared to the restaurant itself there were fewer menu options available; some egg dishes were pre-made; service was entirely self-service; and food or tableware replenishment could not keep up with demand. Paying the same amount for this experience felt unfair. Moreover, having exactly identical menus as on previous days can become monotonous during a multiple night stay. While current attendance may benefit from Expo-related visitors now in town—what about after Expo ends? Significant effort will likely be required given challenges posed by its location in Nanko district.

    Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

During our Multiple Night Stay of 2 nights, we added a breakfast buffet for one day, and the staff kindly arranged 3 Rooms next to each other. From check-in, the front desk staff was attentive, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant stay. Thank you very much!

I stayed for two nights this time, and it’s really convenient as it’s within taxi distance from the Expo venue. The Room was a corner twin, and though I splurged a bit, the Room was spacious and comfortable. It’s also perfect as a summer retreat. I’d love to stay here again if I have the chance.

A very comfortable Hotel with excellent staff service. The room service breakfast was delicious, and I was able to relax until check-out. Conveniently located near the Expo venue, making transportation easy. I would definitely like to stay here again.

A wonderful Hotel offering a resort-like experience, conveniently located near the Expo venue.

Stayed after visiting the Osaka/Kansai Expo. I chose this hotel because my favorite artist held a dinner show here, and I had been curious about it for a while. This was my first stay. Close to Yumeshima, it offered a brief resort-like experience. I traveled with my mother and made a room request, which was met with kind responses and thoughtful arrangements—truly appreciated. Thanks to an IKYU benefit, we were upgraded to a spacious room on the 22nd floor with views of Sunflower Ferry and Yumeshima, making our stay very comfortable. Since we checked in late, having a convenience store in the basement was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious, including Osaka's specialty Tonpei-yaki, which made us very satisfied. The cleaning service was impeccable as well; this has become one of my favorite hotels that I would love to revisit during future trips to Osaka. Thank you for providing such wonderful moments from check-in to check-out!

Enjoyed the fireworks and drone show!

I booked a room on the port side of the Hotel, hoping to enjoy the fireworks at Expo on 6/28. The room on the 22nd floor offered a fantastic view, including the Sunflower departing from Nanko, toy-like New Tram, and part of the Expo's Big Roof Ring! In the evening, I also enjoyed watching the changing colors of the sky. Although slightly distant, I had a clear view of the fireworks right in front and even got to see the drone show that followed. Breakfast was delicious as well, and it felt like a shame to check out early due to work commitments. Next time, I hope to stay longer and relax more!

For those visiting the Expo, don't miss out!

I stayed at the accommodation to visit the Expo. Since I had a 1-year-old child, it was convenient as the hotel is located within a short taxi ride from the Expo venue in case of emergencies (such as unexpected extreme heat). Returning from the Expo venue at night was also smooth and convenient. At the breakfast venue, when my 5-year-old daughter was looking for milk (while I was occupied taking care of my 1-year-old), a young female staff member kindly assisted her, which was very helpful. Other staff members were also kind to children, which made me happy. Thank you for your support during our stay. Although having separate shower and bathtub facilities might be slightly inconvenient for families with small children, the overall convenience outweighed this aspect and made our stay enjoyable. The accommodation is also close to Kaiyukan Aquarium, making it easy to visit there as well—highly recommended!

    Premium Hospitality

We stayed for one night with three families and four grandchildren, enjoying the pool over the weekend and a BBQ dinner. Although we were initially confused by changes in the pool reservation system and usage rules, we were impressed by the consistently high level of service. From the BBQ venue, we could see fireworks from the Expo, which delighted our grandchildren. The excellent service at the front desk made our stay even more pleasant. We plan to visit again later this summer!

    Lost and Found

I stayed at the accommodation for two consecutive weeks using a rental car. During my previous stay 7 days ago, I accidentally left an item in the parking lot. The day after checking out, I called the hotel and provided detailed information about where I had dropped it and its characteristics, requesting that it be kept at the front desk for me to collect during my next check-in. However, upon arrival this time, I parked in the same spot with my rental car and found that the item was still left unattended where I had dropped it. Additionally, when checking in at the front desk, there was no record of my previous communication regarding the lost item.

Recommended for those visiting the Expo on consecutive days.

I stayed at the accommodation to visit the Expo. I checked in, left my luggage, and used my ticket for the evening entry. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the station, but there is also a bus from the hotel if the timing works. The Expo venue is vast and requires a lot of walking, but this hotel is within taxi distance if needed. The interior seems renovated as both the guest rooms and lounge were very clean. The vegetables and Japanese breakfast were delicious. This hotel is recommended for those visiting the Expo on consecutive days.

    Convenient for the Expo!

The venue of the Expo is easily accessible with a taxi from the west exit for around 3,000 yen, making it highly recommended. The Room is clean and comfortable. There is a convenience store in the basement, which closes at 22:00, making it slightly inconvenient, but its presence was very helpful.

    Accommodation for Expo purposes

The shuttle service to Cosmo Square Station and the availability of Expo souvenirs (sweets) at the front desk, which were not available for purchase at the Expo venue, were very convenient. Thanks to the staff's courteous service, I had a comfortable stay. Thank you for accommodating my requests.

It was quiet and I slept well.

I chose this accommodation because it seemed close to the Expo venue. The shuttle bus from Osaka Station was convenient. There was also a shuttle to Cosmo Square Station, but it only operated in the morning and evening, so I couldn't use it for both trips to and from the Expo. Since I couldn't have a proper dinner at the Expo, I ate at the bar after returning, and I was pleased that a complimentary drink was included with my IKYU reservation. The price seemed reasonable for such an upscale hotel. I stayed in a Deluxe Room and appreciated that the shower and bathtub were separate. The soundproofing appeared excellent as I couldn't hear any noise from outside or neighboring rooms, allowing me to sleep well. However, it was disappointing that the bathtub wasn't cleaned properly. Additionally, despite not being very crowded, check-in took quite some time with a line forming—something unusual these days.

    Staff Shortage

Used during the Expo. Overall, there seemed to be a shortage of staff. Check-in took 30 minutes, and there was a long wait to enter the breakfast venue as well. The buffet had a limited selection of dishes. A fee of 1,000 yen per item was charged for luggage storage after check-out.

    Osaka Expo

I stayed for 3 nights to visit the Osaka Expo. The Hotel is located near Osaka Nanko, making it convenient as it is also close to the Expo venue. Although it is a bit far from JR Osaka Station, there was a free shuttle bus that took the highway and arrived in 25 minutes. Additionally, the Hotel has an indoor pool and fitness room, which I enjoyed using. The area around the Hotel is close to the sea, allowing me to relax with an early morning walk. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Use after replan.

We stayed here for a family trip. We had stayed several times when it was previously the Hyatt Regency, but this was our first stay since it became a Prince accommodation. The room was newly renovated and very clean. The front desk staff at check-in provided excellent service, and as we used the parking lot, they informed us that registering with the Prince Global World app would waive the parking fee. However, there were a few points of concern: Although this is a "Grand" Prince accommodation, the coffee provided was instant... We use Karuizawa Prince West every winter, where drip coffee is offered, so this was disappointing. Additionally, some minor issues included bathroom amenities that appeared to have been previously used and were still set up in place. The sofa had been converted into an extra bed for us; however, covers and cushions were left scattered untidily in the closet. It also seemed like during renovation work or equipment replacement to prevent false alarms (though I’m not certain), plastic bags were stuffed into all openings of the smoke detector in our room—possibly forgotten after construction work. As someone working in a related industry myself, I couldn’t help but worry about safety in case of an emergency or whether this issue affected only our room. Other than these concerns, we had an enjoyable stay overall—thank you!

    Disappointed with the service.

●Customer Service The staff member who assisted us during check-in was very kind and changed our reservation from three different room types over three days to the same room for my pregnant wife. However, although check-in was at 3 PM, the cleaning was not finished, and we had to wait about 20 minutes. Having stayed at various hotels before, this was the first time I experienced such a delay due to unfinished cleaning. Additionally, as we were out late during our 3-night stay, I left a note requesting that amenities like lotion be placed in the room by housekeeping staff. However, this request was ignored on both occasions. It made me wonder if there is a lack of coordination between housekeeping and guest services staff since they seem to have specialized roles without much communication. Furthermore, I requested a hair iron on the first day but kept being told there were no available units throughout my stay. This led me to question whether it was simply forgotten or if there are too few hair irons available in general. ●Room & Facility The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable for relaxation. ●Dining We only used breakfast service. There were a decent variety of options available, and the egg dishes were delicious. ●Luggage Storage During Expo Period Charging ¥1,000 per item for luggage storage on checkout day seems excessively high. While I understand that demand may be increasing during this period...

We hope for improvements in the concierge's phone service.

I stayed here for the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The Hotel's location near the venue was very convenient. I contacted the concierge several times for requests and bus information, but they never answered on the first call, requiring multiple attempts. The Room was renovated, spacious at 80m³ like an apartment, with a clean bathroom and a satisfying breakfast. However, the concierge service was disappointing. As this is a higher-level Hotel compared to those without front desk services in urban areas, I hope improvements will be made considering increased demand from Expo visitors and business meetings in the future.

    Hotel near the Expo

We chose this accommodation after searching for a place to stay after visiting the Expo. Since we are not familiar with Osaka, it was a tough decision, but this accommodation is close to the Expo venue and offers renovated rooms with stunning views from the room. It helped us recover from the fatigue of the Expo. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again and highly recommend. The breakfast restaurant had large windows showcasing beautiful greenery during the season, with spacious seating and delicious food. The staff provided attentive service, making our stay very satisfying.

I stayed for a multiple night stay of 3 nights to visit the Expo. The hotel's shuttle bus made it convenient to access both the Expo venue and Osaka Station. The ocean-view room I booked through IKYU at a reasonable price was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was average. The hotel staff were all kind and pleasant.

    The hospitality was amazing.

I usually don't write reviews, but I was very satisfied. We stayed to celebrate my husband's birthday and as a pre-stay for the Expo. In advance, we requested room service for dinner and a birthday cake. When we entered the room, it was very spacious and clean, with a pound cake souvenir and a half bottle of champagne as a commemorative gift. This was unexpected for me, so I was pleasantly surprised and very happy. Room service arrived quickly as well. Since we arrived late at night this time, I would love to use the facilities and restaurant during our next stay. Thank you very much!

I stayed here to visit the Expo! It was a bit of a walk to the nearest station, but the shuttle bus available during certain times was very helpful! Also, it was great that it’s just one stop from Cosmo Square Station to Yumeshima. It was a bit challenging to bathe my baby in the unit bath, so having baby bath rentals would be appreciated. The baby crib provided was very helpful!

    Used for the Kansai Expo

Stayed for one night as a couple during the Kansai Expo. We had stayed here over five years ago and had a good impression, but this time the hotel had been renamed and renovated. It was even more beautiful and comfortable than before. The room was on a high floor with an ocean view, and we were thrilled to see the Kansai Expo evening events in the distance. Our accommodation plan included breakfast and dinner, both of which were delicious. Dinner featured an international cuisine fair; while there were some dishes we weren't fond of, the variety more than made up for it. As Diamond members, we received complimentary drinks with dinner, and there was also a bottle of sparkling wine in our room that we could enjoy freely. Breakfast offered a mix of Japanese and Western options and was very tasty. Additionally, as hotel members, parking for one night was free—a great value! The cost performance was excellent, staff service was outstanding, and overall customer satisfaction felt close to 100%. Thank you very much!
