    A very nice Hotel, but there were some disappointing aspects to our Room this time.

    I have stayed here several times. The front desk and all staff are wonderful. Although the Facility is a bit dated, it is very clean, and both the Room interior and the ocean view from the window are lovely. It has always been great, but this time there was one disappointing point. The Room I was assigned was one side of a connecting room. There is a door in the wall that connects to the next Room, and sound leakage through that door was difficult to deal with. In the other Room were two women traveling together? Their conversation after dinner carried through continuously. They weren’t being loud or rowdy—just talking normally—so I hesitated to complain. I was working at the table near the door, but their voices were very distracting. I tried to move the table away from the door, but it was too heavy to move. In the end, I managed by using earphones. I hoped it would get quiet once it got late and they went to sleep, but even after I went to bed they kept talking, and I woke up several times due to occasional laughter. I considered calling the front desk to request a different Room, but I didn’t want to repack and move after 2:00 a.m., so I put up with it. If you plan to accommodate separate guests in these Rooms in future, I think it would be good to improve soundproofing around this connecting door.

    We had a wonderful birthday.

    It was a birthday stay. Thanks to the Diamond benefits, we were upgraded to an 80 m² corner Room with a great view, and the staff even prepared a pound cake in the Room. We are truly grateful for everyone’s thoughtful hospitality. The lounge also had a wonderful view, and we were able to relax comfortably. On the other hand, we were a little disappointed with the amenities. We understand the Hotel’s environmental initiatives, but only a toothbrush and comb were provided, which was different from what we expected. For me, Hotel amenities are one of the important elements that enhance the mood during a stay. Because the Room and service were excellent, this was the only point that left us slightly disappointed. We would appreciate it if you could consider improvements to provide an even more fulfilling stay experience in the future.

    Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    I stayed here once during the Hyatt era. This was my first stay since it became Grand Prince Osaka, and I spent time on the Club Floor to celebrate a friend’s birthday. As a Diamond member benefit, I received a Room upgrade and late check-out until 1:00 PM, which I was very satisfied with. In the lounge, a staff member greeted us with a wonderful smile and kind words. Thanks to their thoughtful hospitality, we had a great time. It made me want to come back again next time. Thank you very much.

    I think it has improved compared to when it was a Hyatt.

    I stay here from time to time, and I have been coming since it first opened. I think it has improved compared to before. All of the staff are kind and helpful. There is a free shuttle bus to Umeda, which is very convenient. Be sure to check the timetable carefully—I misread it once and ended up waiting 45 minutes. The shuttle can also be used from Umeda to the Hotel. Dinner was a Korean fair buffet; it would be even better if there were cold noodles as well. Breakfast was excellent in both variety and taste. The omelet was delicious, and I found the automatic pancake machine unusual. It seems there are many international guests. I did not see many guests from other parts of Asia, and it felt like there were more visitors from the U.S. and Europe. The Room also seemed cleaner than when it was a Hyatt. With six elevators, waiting times are short. This is my top recommendation in this area.

    We really enjoyed our stay.

    Once a month, I stay at a nearby Hotel to relax. This one offers great value with access to the club lounge, and I can also use IKYU Diamond benefits, so I couldn’t be more satisfied. I’ve already made a Reservation for my next stay. I’m looking forward to it again.

    A bit small?

    We had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much. However, the area where the buffet dishes were set out felt a bit cramped. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed eating at a leisurely pace, so that was the only slightly disappointing point.

    A stay you’ll want to repeat!

    I visited because IKYU had an affordable Plan with lounge access, and I was also interested after attending a wedding here back when it was the former Hyatt Regency—the interior and exterior felt beautifully grand. At check-in, we arrived at 3:00 PM and there was a short line, but since it was lounge check-in we were guided to the 28th floor. It was great for families: we could sit down and enjoy drinks and sweets. Our child was obsessed with the fruit, which we really appreciated. The staff member assisting us was foreign, but polite, hardworking, and left a very positive impression. Other international staff were also smiling and kind to our child. The food during the evening alcohol service (from 17:30), when children are not allowed in the lounge, was more than enough as snacks to go with drinks. We also caught a beautiful sunset. Some Reviews say it may not be enough if you want a full meal, but I think you can easily supplement that at an in-house restaurant or the convenience store on the basement level. After 19:30 there were several whiskey options as well, and we enjoyed them with the chocolate that was served. Since we have a child, my husband and I took turns so we could both enjoy the lounge. Our child especially loved the Family Lounge on the 2nd floor. There are books, toys, a tent, TV, and a mat area where babies can crawl around. The only minor disappointment was that the Nintendo Switch wouldn’t work—it kept shutting off even after charging. While our child played with blocks, adults could relax with coffee available in the space. Booking time slots for the indoor pool online is a bit of a hassle, but it’s spacious and they have life jackets for kids—we had plenty of fun. We also used our IKYU Diamond member drink benefit at Basilico (the Italian restaurant) and got to try an uncommon Italian draft beer. The food was delicious too. One downside—possibly due to being understaffed—was that although I requested amenities via QR code, they took quite a while to arrive and I ended up calling the front desk. It’s best to request them well in advance. Despite that complaint overall—the Hotel’s interior design, Room facilities/equipment quality of service from staff offered excellent value for money—and our child loved it as well—so we will definitely return. We plan to visit again in August.

    Access to the pool and gym

    Overall, everything was great. Thank you for accommodating our request for connecting rooms—it was very helpful. Both the pool and the gym were excellent. We brought swim caps and swimsuits to the pool, but it was great that we could borrow towels, shampoo and conditioner, facial lotion, a hair dryer, and more. At the gym, we were able to borrow workout wear and shoes. I was happy to find Greek yogurt at breakfast. The kids ate lots of fruit. Thank you very much.

    We had a wonderful time.

    Thanks to the perks of my IKYU Diamond membership, I was able to relax even more and enjoy a truly unhurried stay. Making Shin Ramyun for dinner took about five minutes, but it was delicious and felt like an authentic Korean convenience store experience. We had a birthday cake delivered via room service. Since I wanted my one-year-old grandchild to eat only fruit, I asked for the fruit on the side. Even without fruit on top, it was a cute and tasty cake. From the juice we received to the thoughtfully prepared plates, we could really feel the high level of service. During our stay, we went ahead and made a Reservation for next month as well.

    A bit disappointing...

    Stayed on a Plan with dinner and breakfast included!! Dinner was a Korean buffet, but I was disappointed that most dishes were served cold; the Shin Ramyun experience was fun. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with kushikatsu and okonomiyaki. However, some items were not replenished after 9:00 a.m., so I recommend going early. Aside from the meals I had high expectations for, the mobile ordering for amenities was convenient, and the Room was comfortable.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    As on our previous visit, we were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay as a family. We also appreciated having access to the pool and gym, and with the beach nearby and not too crowded, it was perfect for a refreshing getaway. Thank you very much.

    We stayed as a family to celebrate Mother’s Day. Thank you for your thoughtful kindness at check-in. My mother was truly delighted. As always, the lounge staff greeted us with warm smiles, and we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you to the lounge staff, the person who brought amenities to our Room, and the Accommodation reservation team who contacted us before our stay.     The view from the lounge on the 28th floor is spectacular.

    This was my second stay with Club Lounge access. I arrived a little early, so I used the lounge on the 28th floor from just after 14:00. I had coffee, juice, warabi mochi, and cookies. It was crowded and the staff seemed stretched thin, but since it was before the 15:00 check-in time, I suppose it couldn’t be helped. Ideally, I’d like items such as canelés, cakes, and parfaits to be offered as one set per person. My Room was an 80 m² corner room on the 22nd floor with an amazing view thanks to my IKYU Diamond member benefits. However, there were no basic skincare amenities or a hairbrush. When I called, they brought the skincare items, but I would prefer these to be provided in the Room from the start. The pool is my favorite feature and I used it on both days. Since there is only one shower, it was inconvenient on day one because someone else was using it first, but it was still acceptable. The lounge from 17:30: when I arrived a bit late there were many empty trays, but they were refilled quickly. Last time there wasn’t much food; this time I was satisfied. I would like alcoholic beverages to be available. Ice refills and similar service couldn’t quite keep up due to limited staffing, which concerned me slightly, but overall it was a satisfying lounge experience. As with my previous stay, breakfast felt average and somewhat lacking in variety. Still, overall everything was good so I will return again—but I would like breakfast to be served in the lounge.

    Outstanding hospitality!

    I stayed with my mother in her 90s who has difficulty walking. They arranged a parking space close to the entrance, and our Room was upgraded as an IKYU Diamond member benefit. From our ocean-side Room, we could see two Sunflower ferries docked, which made it feel like a special getaway. The TV in the Room was large, and we could also watch Netflix and other streaming services. In the bathroom area, there was a separate shower room in addition to the bathtub. For my mother’s safety, they provided a non-slip mat and a bath chair, so she could bathe with peace of mind. Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at the restaurant. They were very considerate about seating for my mother in a wheelchair, which was greatly appreciated. Perhaps because there are few places to eat around Nanko, the restaurant was almost full, but getting food from the buffet was smooth and it never felt overly crowded. We chose this Hotel on my sister’s recommendation, and it was even better than I expected. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

    A Comfortable Lounge

    The staff were very helpful, and the Room was comfortable. The bar that used to be at the back of the first floor has been moved to the lounge, which made it more comfortable to use. I would stay again.

    I stayed here as a birthday treat for myself. First of all, I was truly impressed—they upgraded me to an incredibly spacious Room, and even had a pound cake prepared to celebrate. Above all, the service from the lounge and front desk staff was outstanding, and I felt so happy to receive birthday wishes from so many team members. It made for the best staycation!

    A distinguished legacy carried on from the Hyatt era. One of Osaka’s most prestigious Hotels.

    I stayed here to attend an event at INTEX Osaka. This is a Hotel I have been using since it was the Hyatt Regency Osaka. It is now the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, but its distinctive sense of elegance and spaciousness remains unchanged. While parts of the building do show their age, the lobby and shared areas more than make up for it with their impressive scale, luxury feel, and calm atmosphere—an air of prestige you don’t find in newer Hotels. Many newly built Hotels have opened in recent years, but this Hotel has a level of tradition and refinement cultivated over time, offering an appeal that goes beyond mere newness. The upper floors are operated by Hoshino Resorts under the RISONARE brand at a higher price point. I tried it recently, but for business travel this option is more reasonably priced, and the Room design has a calm, upscale feel—highly recommended. Above all, the service is outstanding. It feels like the staff and refined atmosphere carried over from the Hyatt era are still very much present. Access to INTEX Osaka is also excellent, making it extremely convenient for exhibitions and events. The guest Rooms are spacious as well; the Deluxe Twin I stayed in was more than large enough for solo use, and I was able to relax comfortably. What surprised me most was the price. With hotel rates in central Osaka rising sharply, being able to stay at a Hotel of this caliber at this rate feels like exceptional value for money. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking not only for luxury but also for a sense of history-backed prestige and reassurance. I believe it is one of Osaka’s leading landmark Hotels.

    Staying at an Accommodation for the first time in a while since Hyatt

    After checking in, I went for a walk before dinner. When I returned, I noticed there were no slippers in the Room, so I called the front desk and had them brought to me. However, I was asked if they really hadn’t been there, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. It was also hard to figure out how to use the shower. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Perfect for a staycation!

    There is a Shuttle Service from Osaka Station, and you can reach the Hotel in about 25 minutes. There is also an on-site gym where we were able to borrow shoes and workout wear. They offered a yoga class in the evening, but I felt it would be even better if there were other activities such as morning yoga or a seaside sunset walk. They also helped us with an anniversary arrangement, which made it a wonderful memory. Some dishes at the dinner buffet were cold, which was disappointing. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    This is my second stay.

    This was my second stay at the Hotel. When I first visited in April, I was impressed by the wonderful cuisine, the beautiful Room, and the seamless Room Service. I immediately made this Reservation, thinking, “I definitely want to come back.” This time, my IKYU Diamond member benefit included a Room upgrade, and I was able to relax in an exceptionally spacious and luxurious setting. The Osaka night view from the high floor was also stunning and made it a truly special day. I also visited the gym this time, which I couldn’t use on my previous stay. The Facility was spotless and not crowded at all, so I had a very refreshing morning. I’m sure I’ll be back for a third stay soon—this has become one of my favorite Hotels.

    The service was attentive, and I had a very comfortable stay.

    Work has been hectic lately, so I made a Reservation at this Hotel to relax over the weekend. I chose a Plan that included both dinner and breakfast, and both were delicious—I ate until I was completely full. In particular, I was told the dinner Plan changes slightly with the seasons, so I’d love to visit again when the season changes. The Room was very spacious and well stocked with amenities, and what surprised me most was how extensive the 24-hour room service is—especially great for women. I really appreciated that they brought not only toner and lotion, but also nicely scented shampoo and conditioner. This is a Hotel I definitely want to visit again.

    Unpleasant Odor in the Dinner Restaurant

    The Hotel and service were excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. I booked a Plan with dinner included, but there was a sewage smell coming from beside the live kitchen, so I couldn’t take the dishes placed in front of it. That kind of smell at a dinner buffet was unacceptable. It ruined my appetite, and I left. I was worried about breakfast as well, but there was no odor then. This was very disappointing, so I hope it will be improved.

    This time, thanks to the IKYU Diamond member benefit, we received a Room upgrade and stayed in a wonderful corner Room. Most Rooms let you see either the sunset or the sunrise, but this Room had large windows on multiple sides, so we could enjoy both from the Room. I was truly impressed. Above all, the attentiveness of all staff at the front desk, restaurant, and club lounge was outstanding. The club lounge staff checked in to see if we needed anything, recommended cookies for us to try, and when I mentioned that I don’t drink alcohol, they even made a non-alcoholic cocktail. Thank you very much to everyone on the team. We will definitely visit again soon.

    I stayed locally this time, but chose this Hotel from among many options because the IKYU Diamond member benefits were appealing. To be honest, I had other choices, but the expectation of late check-out and an upgrade was the deciding factor in making my Reservation. I arrived a little before 3:00 p.m. for check-in, but was allowed into my Room early as housekeeping had already finished. I also received a one-drink voucher as an IKYU Diamond member benefit. However, regarding check-out time, I understood there should have been a benefit allowing use until 2:00 p.m., but it concerned me that this was not mentioned until I asked. What disappointed me most was how the upgrade was handled. My Reservation was for an “Ocean Sunset View Deluxe Twin,” which is already a view-focused Room on the higher side of the building. There was no explanation about any upgrade at check-in, and once in the Room I couldn’t tell what had changed—so I called to ask and only then was told it was an “upgrade to a higher floor on the 25th floor.” Honestly, being told after the fact that this counted as an “upgrade” felt like quite a stretch. Of course, I wasn’t expecting anything excessive. However, since Diamond benefits were one of my reasons for choosing this Hotel, I would have appreciated a clear explanation at check-in. During that call I also asked about the shuttle bus to Osaka Station, but the response felt somewhat curt and unclear, so I ended up confirming again at the bell desk. The male staff member who assisted me there (possibly non-Japanese) was extremely polite and explained everything clearly, which made me feel reassured. It’s honestly my first time feeling that the bell staff provided better service than the front desk. The shuttle bus driver was also excellent, as were the staff member who delivered a humidifier and amenities requested via QR code at night and the female staff member at check-out. I stayed to work quietly in a calm environment, but the lack of explanation at check-in—especially regarding upgrades—left a strong impression. If that area improves, I believe this will become an even more satisfying Hotel.

    Saving that much?

    Even though I stayed on the Club Floor, there was no complimentary bottled water in the Room. Instead, I was told to take the cheap-looking kettle provided in the Room and fill it myself at the water dispenser in the elevator hall. The dispenser also looked like a low-quality unit you’d get from a free rental service, and the elevator hall was so dark I couldn’t read the instructions—I needed my phone. I chose the Club Floor to enjoy a more luxurious experience, but this immediately ruined the mood. When I stayed in February, complimentary bottled water was provided. This isn’t an old Business Hotel— even in an SDGs-focused era, isn’t it unnecessary for a Hotel to cut amenities this far?

    It was the best hospitality!

    We stayed as a family to celebrate our child’s first birthday. At check-in, we were greeted with congratulatory words and shown to a wonderful Room. They had even prepared a gift in the Room, and during dinner they brought out a special plate as well—truly one surprise after another! We were so happy to be celebrated so much. The Hotel staff were gentle and pleasant, and provided warm hospitality even during the busy weekend. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and kids’ area, which gave our child a fun change of scenery. Not only the Room but every area we used was thoroughly cleaned and spotless! For such a large Hotel, it’s amazing there wasn’t a single thing that concerned us—and on top of that, the staff’s thoughtfulness was outstanding. We will definitely stay again for anniversaries or trips. Thank you for such a wonderful stay experience.

    Great Value and Appreciation

    While searching for a Hotel dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday after she started living on her own, I found this Hotel offering breakfast and dinner for just 10,000 yen per person. Since we could stay overnight as well as enjoy dinner, we decided to book it. They kindly suggested preparing flowers and a cake in advance, but it was over our budget so we declined. However, during the latter part of dinner, a staff member brought out a cake plate for us. We were truly surprised by the Hotel’s thoughtful gesture.\n It made us very happy—thank you so much.\n The boxed pound cake in the Room was also perhaps because it was her birthday?? We really appreciate it.\n We were very satisfied with the meal; the roast beef and cheese were especially delicious.\n The Room was clean and comfortable.\n Amenities felt minimal, so it’s best to bring what you need such as makeup remover and toner.\n If you want to do your makeup using natural light in the Room, please bring your own mirror. We used the closet door since it had a mirror.\n From a woman’s perspective there were some amenities I would have liked to have had, but overall we had a comfortable stay.

    Almost too cheap to feel comfortable

    Stayed here on a business trip. On the way in, I used the free shuttle bus from Osaka Station, which was a big help since it was raining. The Room was spacious and clean, with an ocean view where you can also see the Sunflower ferry. The bathroom was large as well, and I could truly relax. There are plenty of restaurants, plus a convenience store in the basement, and the room service is reliable, so you won’t have any trouble during your stay. Perhaps because it was Sunday, they even upgraded my Room—I really appreciate it. It felt like a great value even at double the price. The staff were courteous, and it was a Hotel with nothing to complain about. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
