    Price seems to outweigh everything.

    This was my second stay. Once again, I was able to stay in a spacious ocean-view Room at a very reasonable rate. This time I ordered Japanese breakfast via room service; between the somewhat questionable Japanese food, the other guests, the lobby atmosphere, and the staff, it really feels like staying at a Japanese Hotel overseas—if you like that vibe, you’ll probably love it. There were a couple of moments where I thought “huh?” due to how their operating system works, but at this price it’s absolutely fine—honestly almost too cheap. The Shuttle Service to Osaka in the rain was also very helpful. At departure, I made a mistake and caused trouble for the courier staff member; I’m sorry about that. Thank you for taking care of me.

    This Hotel is a great place to relax and unwind, as always.

    It’s a bit far from the city center, but it’s a good place to relax, so I use it from time to time. However, this time I was surprised that BS TV channels were not available (no signal—I checked with the front desk and they confirmed they couldn’t be viewed). I believe they were available on my previous stay, so I’m not sure why. This is my first time experiencing this at a Hotel, and considering this brand, it was quite disappointing and makes me wonder whether I should continue staying here (I also couldn’t watch soccer or MLB because of the timing).

    View from the Window

    The view from the Room was wonderful. The cute New Tram trains in various colors were especially charming. The ocean view was also great. I booked without breakfast, but decided I wanted a proper buffet breakfast, so I made a Reservation the day before. It was delicious. The Hotel is some distance from Osaka Station, so the free shuttle bus was very helpful. However, there were quite a few families, and a child cried loudly from boarding to getting off, which gave me a headache. Parenting must be tough. Also, while the lobby is grand and impressive, I saw children running around. It may have been just by chance, but for someone who chose this Accommodation to relax, it was a bit disappointing.

    It was a very lovely Room.

    I stayed here to attend a concert at Kyocera Dome. It’s a bit far, so the access isn’t ideal, but the Room was spacious and lovely, and I was able to relax and enjoy the afterglow of the show. When I asked for ice, it was brought to me right away. The bus to Osaka Station was also very helpful. It was a little inconvenient that a Reservation can only be made at the front desk one hour in advance—I’d be happy if it could be arranged at check-in the day before. I checked in after the concert, and although it was a wonderful Room, my stay was short, so next time I’d like to take my time and relax in the Room more. It was very reasonably priced, so if I can stay again for around the same rate, it would definitely be one of my top choices for Osaka.

    Great value for money.

    I couldn’t get a Reservation during the Expo, so I booked this time as a second try. It was better than I expected. The gorgeous lobby, attentive service, and comfortable room were truly relaxing. The shuttle bus also made it convenient to get to USJ. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel with great views where you can relax and unwind

    The Shuttle Service from JR Osaka Station was convenient. As a Diamond member, I was happy to receive a Room upgrade. The view from the Room was beautiful, with sights such as the Tempozan Ferris wheel. I was satisfied with the luxurious Club Lounge and the wide variety of drinks and food. It was very comfortable because it was quiet on a weekday. I will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

    Extremely, extremely, extremely satisfied!!!!

    Since it’s a bit away from Universal Studios and the city center, we decided to take it easy this time with a “hotel staycation” in mind, and booked a Multiple Night Stay here—somewhere I’d wanted to stay for a long time. These days, even on a Multiple Night Stay, daily linen service isn’t always provided everywhere, so we requested only what we needed—an extra bath towel and trash collection—and let them know when we would be out. Even so, the bed was made and the bath mat was replaced as well; it seems they cleaned the Room for us. It was also nice to be able to order room service (which has become less common lately), and with the staff’s attentive manner and fresh flowers displayed in the lobby, I could really feel that this is a top-class place in many little ways. If I had to mention anything, it was a bit hard to find the lobby from the parking lot, and having extra mugs replenished would have been helpful… There’s almost nothing nearby; there is a convenience store downstairs, but it’s only open until after 10 p.m., and while they still had stock that day, the selection didn’t seem very large. Still, none of that bothered us—we were comfortable enough that it didn’t matter at all. Some people may have mixed feelings about water dispensers, but they weren’t far from our Room (near the elevator hall), and since I wanted to drink plenty during our Multiple Night Stay, it was great for me. They even moved us to a larger Room because one was available—and since it actually happened to be my birthday too, we were able to spend an absolutely wonderful time here. I don’t usually choose one place as my regular Accommodation, but when I want that staycation feeling again, I’ve decided this is where I’ll come—without question!! It truly was such a happy time. Thank you very much.

    As always, we were able to relax and take our time. Above all, thank you to everyone on the staff—from the front desk and accommodation team to the restaurant and sports facilities—for your consistently warm and pleasant service. Although the Hotel has been open for many years, it is very well maintained and impeccably clean. Its solid, classic design gives a real sense of history, so every visit is comfortable and satisfying. We look forward to visiting again.

    This is my favorite ...

    This is my favorite Hotel. I love the club lounge, but this time I stayed for the first time with a two-meal plan without lounge access. It was a birthday stay. Thank you for upgrading me to a Deluxe room as a Diamond benefit. I usually have an ocean-view room, but the city view was beautiful too—I could even see the Ferris wheel. The dinner buffet featured a Korean fair; dishes like samgyeopsal, gimbap, and bibimbap were tasty, but I probably wouldn’t come at the regular price. I don’t think I need to do the dinner buffet again next time. I was happy to be able to enjoy beer and sparkling wine with the complimentary drink vouchers—thank you. The gelato was also delicious, and they had strawberry! Breakfast was delicious as always. Most of the staff at the front desk and restaurants were kind and courteous, which made my stay very pleasant. Since I want to relax in the lounge, next time I’ll choose the club floor after all.

    It was a very spacious Room, and we were able to relax and take our time.

    The polite greetings and warm smiles from the woman who assisted us outside the Hotel entrance and at reception left a great impression. We were able to relax in a spacious Room. The club lounge access was nice, and the staff there were also very attentive, but it was disappointing that there were not many snack options besides drinks. That was the only downside.

    It was very convenie...

    It was very convenient to take the limousine bus from Osaka Station directly to the Hotel entrance, and we used it again on the way back. We used the club lounge, and everyone greeted us warmly. At the breakfast venue as well, we were welcomed with pleasant greetings, which made for a wonderful start to the day. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m., but it would be great if guests who arrive early could relax in the lounge even before check-in.

    A very nice Hotel, but there were some disappointing aspects to our Room this time.

    I have stayed here several times. The front desk and all staff are wonderful. Although the Facility is a bit dated, it is very clean, and both the Room interior and the ocean view from the window are lovely. It has always been great, but this time there was one disappointing point. The Room I was assigned was one side of a connecting room. There is a door in the wall that connects to the next Room, and sound leakage through that door was difficult to deal with. In the other Room were two women traveling together? Their conversation after dinner carried through continuously. They weren’t being loud or rowdy—just talking normally—so I hesitated to complain. I was working at the table near the door, but their voices were very distracting. I tried to move the table away from the door, but it was too heavy to move. In the end, I managed by using earphones. I hoped it would get quiet once it got late and they went to sleep, but even after I went to bed they kept talking, and I woke up several times due to occasional laughter. I considered calling the front desk to request a different Room, but I didn’t want to repack and move after 2:00 a.m., so I put up with it. If you plan to accommodate separate guests in these Rooms in future, I think it would be good to improve soundproofing around this connecting door.

    We had a wonderful birthday.

    It was a birthday stay. Thanks to the Diamond benefits, we were upgraded to an 80 m² corner Room with a great view, and the staff even prepared a pound cake in the Room. We are truly grateful for everyone’s thoughtful hospitality. The lounge also had a wonderful view, and we were able to relax comfortably. On the other hand, we were a little disappointed with the amenities. We understand the Hotel’s environmental initiatives, but only a toothbrush and comb were provided, which was different from what we expected. For me, Hotel amenities are one of the important elements that enhance the mood during a stay. Because the Room and service were excellent, this was the only point that left us slightly disappointed. We would appreciate it if you could consider improvements to provide an even more fulfilling stay experience in the future.

    Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    I stayed here once during the Hyatt era. This was my first stay since it became Grand Prince Osaka, and I spent time on the Club Floor to celebrate a friend’s birthday. As a Diamond member benefit, I received a Room upgrade and late check-out until 1:00 PM, which I was very satisfied with. In the lounge, a staff member greeted us with a wonderful smile and kind words. Thanks to their thoughtful hospitality, we had a great time. It made me want to come back again next time. Thank you very much.

    I think it has improved compared to when it was a Hyatt.

    I stay here from time to time, and I have been coming since it first opened. I think it has improved compared to before. All of the staff are kind and helpful. There is a free shuttle bus to Umeda, which is very convenient. Be sure to check the timetable carefully—I misread it once and ended up waiting 45 minutes. The shuttle can also be used from Umeda to the Hotel. Dinner was a Korean fair buffet; it would be even better if there were cold noodles as well. Breakfast was excellent in both variety and taste. The omelet was delicious, and I found the automatic pancake machine unusual. It seems there are many international guests. I did not see many guests from other parts of Asia, and it felt like there were more visitors from the U.S. and Europe. The Room also seemed cleaner than when it was a Hyatt. With six elevators, waiting times are short. This is my top recommendation in this area.

    We really enjoyed our stay.

    Once a month, I stay at a nearby Hotel to relax. This one offers great value with access to the club lounge, and I can also use IKYU Diamond benefits, so I couldn’t be more satisfied. I’ve already made a Reservation for my next stay. I’m looking forward to it again.

    A bit small?

    We had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much. However, the area where the buffet dishes were set out felt a bit cramped. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed eating at a leisurely pace, so that was the only slightly disappointing point.

    A stay you’ll want to repeat!

    I visited because IKYU had an affordable Plan with lounge access, and I was also interested after attending a wedding here back when it was the former Hyatt Regency—the interior and exterior felt beautifully grand. At check-in, we arrived at 3:00 PM and there was a short line, but since it was lounge check-in we were guided to the 28th floor. It was great for families: we could sit down and enjoy drinks and sweets. Our child was obsessed with the fruit, which we really appreciated. The staff member assisting us was foreign, but polite, hardworking, and left a very positive impression. Other international staff were also smiling and kind to our child. The food during the evening alcohol service (from 17:30), when children are not allowed in the lounge, was more than enough as snacks to go with drinks. We also caught a beautiful sunset. Some Reviews say it may not be enough if you want a full meal, but I think you can easily supplement that at an in-house restaurant or the convenience store on the basement level. After 19:30 there were several whiskey options as well, and we enjoyed them with the chocolate that was served. Since we have a child, my husband and I took turns so we could both enjoy the lounge. Our child especially loved the Family Lounge on the 2nd floor. There are books, toys, a tent, TV, and a mat area where babies can crawl around. The only minor disappointment was that the Nintendo Switch wouldn’t work—it kept shutting off even after charging. While our child played with blocks, adults could relax with coffee available in the space. Booking time slots for the indoor pool online is a bit of a hassle, but it’s spacious and they have life jackets for kids—we had plenty of fun. We also used our IKYU Diamond member drink benefit at Basilico (the Italian restaurant) and got to try an uncommon Italian draft beer. The food was delicious too. One downside—possibly due to being understaffed—was that although I requested amenities via QR code, they took quite a while to arrive and I ended up calling the front desk. It’s best to request them well in advance. Despite that complaint overall—the Hotel’s interior design, Room facilities/equipment quality of service from staff offered excellent value for money—and our child loved it as well—so we will definitely return. We plan to visit again in August.

    Access to the pool and gym

    Overall, everything was great. Thank you for accommodating our request for connecting rooms—it was very helpful. Both the pool and the gym were excellent. We brought swim caps and swimsuits to the pool, but it was great that we could borrow towels, shampoo and conditioner, facial lotion, a hair dryer, and more. At the gym, we were able to borrow workout wear and shoes. I was happy to find Greek yogurt at breakfast. The kids ate lots of fruit. Thank you very much.

    We had a wonderful time.

    Thanks to the perks of my IKYU Diamond membership, I was able to relax even more and enjoy a truly unhurried stay. Making Shin Ramyun for dinner took about five minutes, but it was delicious and felt like an authentic Korean convenience store experience. We had a birthday cake delivered via room service. Since I wanted my one-year-old grandchild to eat only fruit, I asked for the fruit on the side. Even without fruit on top, it was a cute and tasty cake. From the juice we received to the thoughtfully prepared plates, we could really feel the high level of service. During our stay, we went ahead and made a Reservation for next month as well.

    A bit disappointing...

    Stayed on a Plan with dinner and breakfast included!! Dinner was a Korean buffet, but I was disappointed that most dishes were served cold; the Shin Ramyun experience was fun. Breakfast was enjoyable too, with kushikatsu and okonomiyaki. However, some items were not replenished after 9:00 a.m., so I recommend going early. Aside from the meals I had high expectations for, the mobile ordering for amenities was convenient, and the Room was comfortable.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    As on our previous visit, we were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay as a family. We also appreciated having access to the pool and gym, and with the beach nearby and not too crowded, it was perfect for a refreshing getaway. Thank you very much.

    The view from the lounge on the 28th floor is spectacular.

    This was my second stay with Club Lounge access. I arrived a little early, so I used the lounge on the 28th floor from just after 14:00. I had coffee, juice, warabi mochi, and cookies. It was crowded and the staff seemed stretched thin, but since it was before the 15:00 check-in time, I suppose it couldn’t be helped. Ideally, I’d like items such as canelés, cakes, and parfaits to be offered as one set per person. My Room was an 80 m² corner room on the 22nd floor with an amazing view thanks to my IKYU Diamond member benefits. However, there were no basic skincare amenities or a hairbrush. When I called, they brought the skincare items, but I would prefer these to be provided in the Room from the start. The pool is my favorite feature and I used it on both days. Since there is only one shower, it was inconvenient on day one because someone else was using it first, but it was still acceptable. The lounge from 17:30: when I arrived a bit late there were many empty trays, but they were refilled quickly. Last time there wasn’t much food; this time I was satisfied. I would like alcoholic beverages to be available. Ice refills and similar service couldn’t quite keep up due to limited staffing, which concerned me slightly, but overall it was a satisfying lounge experience. As with my previous stay, breakfast felt average and somewhat lacking in variety. Still, overall everything was good so I will return again—but I would like breakfast to be served in the lounge.

    Outstanding hospitality!

    I stayed with my mother in her 90s who has difficulty walking. They arranged a parking space close to the entrance, and our Room was upgraded as an IKYU Diamond member benefit. From our ocean-side Room, we could see two Sunflower ferries docked, which made it feel like a special getaway. The TV in the Room was large, and we could also watch Netflix and other streaming services. In the bathroom area, there was a separate shower room in addition to the bathtub. For my mother’s safety, they provided a non-slip mat and a bath chair, so she could bathe with peace of mind. Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at the restaurant. They were very considerate about seating for my mother in a wheelchair, which was greatly appreciated. Perhaps because there are few places to eat around Nanko, the restaurant was almost full, but getting food from the buffet was smooth and it never felt overly crowded. We chose this Hotel on my sister’s recommendation, and it was even better than I expected. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality.

    A Comfortable Lounge

    The staff were very helpful, and the Room was comfortable. The bar that used to be at the back of the first floor has been moved to the lounge, which made it more comfortable to use. I would stay again.

    I stayed here as a birthday treat for myself. First of all, I was truly impressed—they upgraded me to an incredibly spacious Room, and even had a pound cake prepared to celebrate. Above all, the service from the lounge and front desk staff was outstanding, and I felt so happy to receive birthday wishes from so many team members. It made for the best staycation!

    A distinguished legacy carried on from the Hyatt era. One of Osaka’s most prestigious Hotels.

    I stayed here to attend an event at INTEX Osaka. This is a Hotel I have been using since it was the Hyatt Regency Osaka. It is now the Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, but its distinctive sense of elegance and spaciousness remains unchanged. While parts of the building do show their age, the lobby and shared areas more than make up for it with their impressive scale, luxury feel, and calm atmosphere—an air of prestige you don’t find in newer Hotels. Many newly built Hotels have opened in recent years, but this Hotel has a level of tradition and refinement cultivated over time, offering an appeal that goes beyond mere newness. The upper floors are operated by Hoshino Resorts under the RISONARE brand at a higher price point. I tried it recently, but for business travel this option is more reasonably priced, and the Room design has a calm, upscale feel—highly recommended. Above all, the service is outstanding. It feels like the staff and refined atmosphere carried over from the Hyatt era are still very much present. Access to INTEX Osaka is also excellent, making it extremely convenient for exhibitions and events. The guest Rooms are spacious as well; the Deluxe Twin I stayed in was more than large enough for solo use, and I was able to relax comfortably. What surprised me most was the price. With hotel rates in central Osaka rising sharply, being able to stay at a Hotel of this caliber at this rate feels like exceptional value for money. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking not only for luxury but also for a sense of history-backed prestige and reassurance. I believe it is one of Osaka’s leading landmark Hotels.
