    The sunset view from the living room during dinner was truly amazing. However, the cuisine, Room, and bath left an impression of being inferior compared to hotels in a similar price range in Gora or Atami.

    Praying Mantis

    I visited on the occasion of my last birthday in my 40s. It’s a perfect place to enjoy some quiet time alone. A praying mantis appeared on the ceiling of the open-air bath, and with the lighting, it looked like a shadow play. I always encounter something unique during my travels. The towel heater in the Facility was excellent. I enjoyed à la carte dishes and breakfast on the terrace surrounded by nature. For dinner, I opted for wine pairing but ended up trying various drinks like gin and tea, which were exceptionally well-matched. It was an experience unlike any other. Looking forward to my next visit!

    Natural hot spring flow

    The private bath in the guest room can be turned into a semi-open-air bath with natural hot spring water, making it incredibly relaxing—I ended up bathing five times before leaving the next day. Instead of the typical seafood-focused meals often found at Onsen accommodations, I enjoyed a creative French dinner paired with wine. And yes, it's all-inclusive! The amenities provided were also excellent. As an older guest, I found it slightly challenging to get into the Audi that came to pick me up. However, noticing this, they kindly arranged for a more accessible van to take me back to Gora Station. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. If I may make a suggestion: the pillows were quite uncomfortable (the synthetic filling made my head feel warm), so having options would be appreciated. Also, no wine was served during breakfast—please consider addressing this as well.

    Thank you for the exceptional hospitality.

    I made a Reservation hoping to relax with black eggs and onsen manju during my trip to Hakone. As I climbed the narrow road of Miyagino, I discovered NICA in such a serene location. Stepping inside, the full glass windows offered a breathtaking view of Sounzan and Gora. Check-in began with champagne, marking the start of an extraordinary experience. Dinner was exceptional, with ingredients and wine enhancing each other’s flavors. The grilled golden eye snapper was particularly exquisite. The casual room wear allowed us to feel at home without worrying about dress codes. Even my husband, who usually takes quick baths, enjoyed multiple dips in the Onsen and was thoroughly satisfied with the delicious food and drinks. We have already made another Reservation for his birthday next spring!

    A Hotel for a Wonderful Anniversary

    We stayed here to celebrate his birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff's thoughtful hospitality made us feel very comfortable. Each staff member was kind and attentive, especially the female staff who guided us to our Room. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression. The Room was equipped with three types of attire: loungewear, pajamas, and a bathrobe. I ended up wearing all of them for different occasions because I couldn’t decide! During our stay, all drinks and light snacks were complimentary. We checked in at 3:30 PM and indulged in plenty of snacks before dinner! The smoked dishes recommended by the staff and the Basque cheesecake were particularly delicious. For dinner at the dining area, we enjoyed a fusion course combining French and Japanese cuisine paired with wine—it was exceptional! There was even a special performance(?) during dinner that added to the experience. They also prepared a birthday plate for him, which made him very happy. For breakfast, we chose in-Room dining. The luxurious ingredients included carefully crafted side dishes for rice, sweet pork shabu-shabu, and lobster—all incredibly delicious. Every corner of this property is stylishly designed; combined with excellent service from the staff and exquisite meals, it’s definitely a place we’d love to visit again!

    Hakone NICA is one of my favorites, and I have visited several times. Each time, I am thoroughly satisfied with the variety of dishes carefully prepared to match the ingredients, paired with exquisite drinks, and the amuse-bouche (especially the cheesecake), all of which are incredibly delicious. During my previous stay, my request written in the questionnaire was promptly addressed, and I was deeply impressed by the high level of hospitality. The staff's service is also excellent, allowing me to enjoy a blissful moment. I would love to visit again in the future and look forward to your continued hospitality at that time.

    Overall, it was a very satisfying trip. The quality of the staff's service was excellent, and the all-you-can-drink beverages, as well as the open-air bath in the Room and its adjacent outdoor relaxation space, were wonderful! The fusion cuisine combining French and Japanese dishes was not only delicious but also complemented by tasty late-night snacks, Room service meals, and breakfast. My wife is pregnant, but they took great care with her meals while ensuring everything tasted amazing. The only minor issue I noticed was that while the Room overall was clean, the wall around the air conditioner seemed a bit outdated—perhaps it hadn't been repainted? Since everything else was perfect, I couldn't help but wonder why that particular spot wasn't up to par when it's visible from bed. Even with that small point aside, we were truly satisfied with our entire trip. We hope to visit again someday!

Additionally, I found both the quality and quantity of dinner unsatisfactory for its cost. For those who wish to enjoy free-flow drinks in a slightly stylish facility with modern cuisine and casual drink service, this accommodation might be ideal. Taste preferences vary from person to person; it may simply be a matter of compatibility. While there are highly positive reviews from others, these are my honest impressions. The high expectations set by excellent reservation handling only amplified my disappointment. This experience has solidified my decision not to choose accommodations focused on free-flow drinks and creative cuisine in the future. I must emphasize that even one person's lack of consideration or misunderstanding can overshadow an otherwise great team’s hospitality efforts—a valuable lesson learned during this trip.     A Moment of Happiness

    After check-in, we immediately enjoyed champagne and hors d'oeuvres from room service in our room. Then came the much-anticipated dinner time. It started with a dish resembling pork trotters? Just as we wondered, it turned out to be warm and adorable croquette-like bites. The next dish featured fresh horse mackerel paired with water shield, followed by white asparagus that made us exclaim "Wow" in delight upon its arrival. Next came conger eel risotto alongside rockfish, and the main course of Hakone Seirei beef—all delicate, beautiful, and delicious creations served on carefully selected tableware by the chef whose cuisine we always look forward to enjoying. This time was no exception; paired with excellent wine selections, it was a truly satisfying experience. However, we were slightly disappointed not to meet our usual sommelier—perhaps they were off duty? From being picked up at Gora Station to being waved off as we departed the accommodation for the last time during this stay, every moment was filled with thoughtful hospitality for which we are deeply grateful. Thank you very much! Now we're already considering when we'll visit next...

    Due to scheduling conflicts, our stay was delayed by a month, but we stayed to celebrate a birthday. Perhaps because we mentioned the reason for our stay during the reservation, a surprise cake was prepared during dinner, which made us very happy. Unfortunately, there were issues with the water supply repeatedly stopping and hot water coming out intermittently from midnight until morning. Additionally, although we had informed about food preferences in advance, shiso leaves were served with sashimi at breakfast. However, my wife enjoyed it thoroughly, so it turned out fine in the end. Both of us would like to use this accommodation again in the future and hope for improvements regarding infrastructure facilities. Please understand that this feedback may sound like a complaint.

    Blissful Accommodation

    I stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my husband's birthday. Last time, it was for my birthday in December, so the view from the hotel lounge this time was in spring and absolutely beautiful. The meals and free-flowing drinks were of consistently high quality, leaving us very satisfied. It was a bit disappointing that there was no explanation about the pairing, possibly because the sommelier was unavailable. However, it turned out to be a wonderful stay overall. We look forward to visiting again in autumn.

    Excellent Accommodation

    The hospitality and thoughtfulness from start to finish were exceptional at this accommodation. The meals, environment, and room were, of course, outstanding, but the staff's service was also incredibly impressive. In particular, the young female staff member who assisted with our check-in and check-out procedures had excellent communication skills despite her age, making the experience very pleasant. We visited with an EV car and were delighted to find charging facilities available. The fact that our car was fully charged immediately upon arrival left a lasting impression on us (especially since we struggled to find charging spots during our visit to an accommodation in Tohoku last month). Although we stay at accommodations of this level every month, we rarely feel like revisiting the same place as we enjoy exploring different ones. However, this is one accommodation we are certain we want to return to again. There is just one thing that would have been nice: At a previous stay in Tochigi Prefecture, they provided takeout coffee or tea for us to enjoy in the car after checking out. It was such a thoughtful service that left a lasting impression on us. It would be wonderful if such an option could be offered here as well so that guests can continue reminiscing about their stay while enjoying coffee or tea from your accommodation. We will definitely return! Thank you very much!

We were genuinely moved by the sophistication of the dishes, something we never imagined encountering during our travels. As for drinks, we enjoyed wine pairings on both nights. The selection featured wines from various regions, and engaging conversations with the sommelier made the experience even more delightful. Both the food and wine were thoroughly enjoyable. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, we appreciated how the menu was thoughtfully crafted to include surprises each day—it was fantastic! In terms of service, every detail seemed carefully considered to ensure guests could enjoy their stay comfortably. Although there is no spa within the facility, alternative suggestions were kindly offered based on our requests; ultimately, they arranged shiatsu massage sessions for us that allowed us to fully relax during our visit. Additionally, having a semi-open-air bath (Onsen) in our Room was definitely a highlight. Hakone is an easily accessible destination for those who enjoy driving trips—we look forward to visiting again!

    This was my first stay. I was a bit anxious about the directions to the accommodation, but I’m glad I prepared by watching a video beforehand. Although the weather wasn’t favorable, the staff’s hospitality, the room, the onsen, and the meals were all excellent. A group of foreign guests was a bit noisy and slightly distracting, but other than that, everything was perfect. My elderly mother seemed to enjoy it very much as well. I would definitely like to stay here again!

    This was my second stay in January. I was so impressed with the dinner during my first visit that I made a reservation for two months later on the spot, and once again, it did not disappoint! I wanted to order various snacks through room service, but I held back as I didn’t want to ruin my appetite for dinner. The chef's exquisite creations and the sommelier's wine pairing made it another unforgettable evening. Rather than trying to describe it in words, you simply must experience it yourself! I am also deeply grateful for the staff’s attentiveness. When we mentioned that my husband doesn’t like fatty meat, they replaced the pork at breakfast with a fillet of sea bream. Thanks to this thoughtful gesture, even though we were full from dinner the night before, we were able to enjoy every bite of breakfast. The room was simple yet comfortable, and having an Onsen attached to our room meant we could hop into the bath anytime we wanted—it was perfect! Stylish loungewear was also provided so there was no need to change clothes for meals, allowing us to relax and enjoy multiple dips in the Onsen throughout our stay. If there’s one downside worth mentioning, it would be that with only eight rooms available, weekend reservations can be hard to secure. However, I'll gladly wait on a cancellation list and seize any opportunity for another wonderful stay!

Despite having heavy suitcases, the staff arranged for us to take the shortest route to Gora Station upon departure, minimizing any hassle with luggage—a thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression. From check-in to check-out, every staff member greeted us with warm smiles that truly touched our hearts. We were also pleasantly surprised when the chef took time out of his busy schedule to personally greet us at the end of our stay. One particularly memorable aspect was the hospitality of a sommelier who seemed around our age (50s).     An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again and Again

    We stayed in December for my husband's birthday and had such a wonderful experience that we decided to visit again in April, this time inviting my mother and grandmother. The drinks, meals, and service were all excellent, allowing us to enjoy a truly special time. Since the previous meal was so delicious, we would have been satisfied even if it was the same menu. However, thanks to your kind gesture of completely changing the menu, not only did my mother and grandmother enjoy their first visit, but we also experienced the same sense of amazement as before. The dishes were satisfying for everyone—even my 83-year-old grandmother finished everything on her plate—and those of us with bigger appetites were equally delighted. The pairing of one drink per dish is perfect for those who love alcohol! We were also touched by your thoughtful gestures, like remembering the wine we enjoyed last time. We will definitely return again—thank you for another wonderful experience!

    The service was terrible throughout. Despite informing them of my food preferences, they served dishes I specifically mentioned I couldn't eat. One staff member was particularly bad, giving the impression that they couldn't handle basic tasks and even struggled with polite language. I requested breakfast in the room at a specific time, but instead of delivering it as scheduled, they woke me up with a call beforehand. After breakfast, despite informing them that I would check out at 11:50, they asked at 11:00 if I had finished eating and if they could clear the dishes—just minutes before checkout. It felt unnecessary and intrusive. When leaving, I asked for directions to the bus stop but was sent to an entirely wrong location in the rain. How can a hotel not know where the nearest bus stop is? This trip left me stressed and frustrated rather than relaxed. Next time, I'll choose accommodation with reliable reviews. This experience was unacceptable for a place charging this price point!

    Mid-March, unseasonal snow. Glad we chose the train instead of driving. We were picked up at Gora Station. The staff's warm smiles and exceptional hospitality stood out. Explanations were smooth and clear. Starting with a welcome drink in the lobby, followed by champagne and hors d'oeuvres in the Room. Dinner was delicate, beautiful, and delicious with lovely tableware. Wine pairing was inclusive—slightly sweet for us but led to delightful conversations with the sommelier. After an excellent course meal, the shy chef greeted us personally—a small gesture that makes a big difference these days. The Room wasn’t overly spacious but just right—simple tones without being overwhelming. The powder room featured two basins—a must for luxury standards. Unfortunately, due to the cold weather, it took some time for the bath temperature to rise after pausing it briefly—a minor inconvenience. Also, though not Hotel-related, we struggled with pollen even inside our Room this season; next time we’ll visit during a pollen-free period!

Each dish was meticulously crafted—not only delicious but also visually stunning and moving to behold. The onsen's water quality was outstanding—our skin felt smooth and silky immediately upon soaking! Being all-inclusive allowed us to enjoy drinks freely without any concerns—a delightful bonus for those who love indulging in fine beverages.
