    Simply disappointing.

    This was my second stay in two years. I returned because my first stay was great, but this time was disappointing. The main issue was that they did not keep to the schedule at all, and there was no apology whatsoever. First, on the day of check-in, the Shuttle Service did not arrive even after the scheduled time. It seemed they had forgotten, and they only came after I called them. No apology. I wanted to enjoy my trip and tried not to let it bother me, but the next morning breakfast still hadn’t arrived by the scheduled time. Again, I had to call before they finally brought it. No apology. At that point I contacted the person in charge. As before, there was a wide selection of drinks at dinner and I was satisfied with that, but the poor start and finish were so disappointing that it’s all I remember.

    A Long-Awaited Return Visit

    Every month we stay at a sister Accommodation, but it had been a while since our last visit to NICA. The view from the lobby and the overall atmosphere throughout the Accommodation are still absolutely wonderful. Above all, the staff service is outstanding! In particular, I’m truly grateful for the sommelier’s thoughtfulness. Not only the pairing, but also the attentive awareness of the room—reading the mood and offering exactly the right words at just the right moment. An exceptional professional; you can really feel the difference in experience. Thank you so much. I was happy to chat in the lobby. That said, personally I was completely soothed by “Madonna’s” smile and voice—floating on air. Madonna is simply the best! (Sorry, Sommelier—you’ll probably say, “After all that praise, this?” lol) My wife was also delighted to talk with Madonna. She says, “Sorry for causing trouble when our cars passed each other.” Madonna’s healing is different from an angel’s kind of comfort. (Ah! Were you watching me, Angel? No no—sorry—I’ll be right back.) Dinner: The chef’s dishes are jewels—truly beautiful and delicious. I was so happy to enjoy his creations again after such a long time. Thank you! And to our evening server: your smile made everything taste twice as good. Your timing in every moment felt so comfortable—thank you. Breakfast: Luxurious from first thing in the morning—I ate until I was completely stuffed. Morning service: nice dad! I was glad to see you again after so long, and relieved to hear you’re doing well. Time to leave already… With everyone’s best smiles and that warm send-off, it almost makes me want NICA as my regular place… oh wait—I’ve got NICA’s sister Accommodation too! (Pillar! Three daughters! Wait for me—I’ll be back soon.) NICA was amazing after such a long time—thank you everyone!!! Thanks to everyone’s kindness, we were able to spend a long time together and talk deeply. Even though I had my own thoughts going in, I feel at peace with it now. As your friend, I sincerely hope your next stage brings you an incredible view ahead. I’m also glad I got to drink that miraculous yuzu OKB special (Shizu version)—a once-in-a-lifetime cup we’ll never be able to have again. I’m sure we’ll meet again…

    Delicious Meals

    After driving up the mountain road and arriving, I was amazed by the suddenly expansive valley view from the lobby. The free-flow drinks, room service, and all meals were delicious. Next to the closet, there is a space where you can place your luggage that is hidden by the desk, so the Room doesn’t feel cluttered. The semi-open-air bath with windows on two sides lets in a pleasant breeze. It was my first time seeing a system that allows you to adjust the Onsen water temperature, and I enjoyed it at my preferred temperature. All of the staff were attentive and friendly, making my stay very comfortable—thank you. I would love to visit again.

    It was really great!

    Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. Ever since you opened, we had been meaning to visit, but never quite found the right opportunity. This time we finally made it—and we were extremely satisfied. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and while the Room felt a little small (though that was partly because we chose a Japanese-Western style room and hardly used the tatami area), it was simple, easy to use, and very comfortable. If I had to mention one minor point, I would appreciate a wider selection of TV apps. Both dinner and breakfast were among the top three best meals we’ve ever had at any Accommodation. The wine pairing was also perfectly matched—no complaints at all. That said, one downside was that the guests at the next table spoke very loudly (perhaps they had already been drinking in their Room), which slightly spoiled the atmosphere. If possible, increasing the distance between tables by about 50 cm and making the partition screens a bit taller might help reduce noise to some extent. (Of course, it ultimately comes down to guests’ manners.) In any case, we were very satisfied overall, and we would love to visit again when we have the chance.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    We stayed here for my mother-in-law’s birthday trip. The Room, Onsen, meals, and staff were all wonderful, and my parents-in-law were truly delighted. The Room was exceptionally well cleaned—no dust or debris stuck to the bottoms of our slippers. The female staff member and the male staff member at breakfast (from overseas) were especially warm and welcoming. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

    I was able to relax in a quiet Room.

    Gora Station was bustling with many international tourists, but the Hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. Since the Onsen was in our Room, we had little contact with other guests and could stay with peace of mind. With all-inclusive Accommodation, it’s not uncommon for the selection of wine and other drinks to be left up to the property, but here the drink menu was extensive and it was fun to choose. The only disappointment was that I got too full at dinner and couldn’t order any room service afterward (tears). Breakfast was also excellent—there were many small side dishes to enjoy with rice, plus spiny lobster and a hot pot; everything was delicious. It turned into a wonderful birthday trip for my husband. Thank you very much.

    Family Trip

    Our children coordinated their time off, and for the first time in a while the four of us were able to travel together, timing it close to our wedding anniversary. At Zen, one of your group Hotels, we met a staff member who had helped us before and they greeted us right away—an excellent start to the day. The Room, Onsen, room service, meals, and the hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, and we had a wonderful time. I drank a bit too much and went to bed early, which felt like a waste—next time I’ll drink less and enjoy the scenery and Onsen more. Thank you very much.

    Excellent value for money

    The Onsen was exceptional and warmed me through to the core. Each dish was carefully prepared, and I was thoroughly satisfied with both the flavors and presentation. The free-flow drinks were also plentiful, and I completely lost track of time. I especially loved the champagne—so much that I later bought a bottle. The staff’s hospitality was attentive throughout, making this a flawless stay in every way. I will definitely return.

    An Accommodation You Won’t Want to Leave

    This was my wife’s fourth visit, my third, and our son’s first—three of us in total. It rained throughout our one-night, two-day trip, which was disappointing, but during our stay at NICA we were able to enjoy blissful moments with the staff as always. Dinner came with a wine pairing. Even my son and I, who don’t usually drink much wine, ended up following their recommendations—maybe a bit too much. Breakfast and the Onsen were excellent as always. As checkout approached, the three of us kept saying we didn’t want to leave, and we departed the Accommodation seeing off by the staff’s warm smiles. This is an Accommodation that never disappoints no matter how many times you visit. We’ll be back.

    It was a truly wonderful stay!

    We stayed here for the first time as a couple on our previous visit and had such a wonderful experience that this time we brought my parents with us. From the welcome drinks to Room service and the lounge, we thoroughly enjoyed the free-flow offerings. The Room and semi-open-air bath were spacious and kept very clean, making our stay extremely comfortable. The food was also excellent, and we requested wine pairing at dinner—being able to try a variety of wines was truly satisfying! Above all, what impressed us most was the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff. They maintained just the right level of distance, and even when my parents struck up conversations during meals, everyone responded politely and warmly. My parents were delighted with this stay. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

    Exceptional hospitality

    I stayed with my husband to celebrate a special occasion. We truly enjoyed both the all-inclusive plan and the breakfast and dinner. Thank you for helping with the surprise, and we were touched to receive commemorative photos as well. One night wasn’t enough—we’d love to come every month. If I had to mention one drawback, the route to the Accommodation was difficult for me to drive, so my husband took over at that point. Next time, I think we’ll come by train. Other than that, we were extremely satisfied.

    A Highly Satisfying Hotel Stay

    We stayed recently to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Even though we arrived after 2:00 PM due to the typhoon, you kindly allowed us to check in early, and we truly appreciated it. From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed plenty of delicious drinks, and both my partner and I had an amazing time. Everything was wonderful—from the room service meal to the dinner course, and even the late-night inari sushi. When I mentioned that I don’t like sweet alcohol, you changed the wine pairing to drier wines for me; I was really touched by your thoughtfulness. By coincidence, my partner had also made a Reservation at the same Hotel for my birthday, so we will be back again in November. We’re already looking forward to spending another wonderful day at Hakone nica. Thank you in advance!

    We had a wonderful stay.

    The bath was excellent. The Room wasn’t unnecessarily large, making it very comfortable to stay in. At first, I thought the meals might be a bit small, but they were actually quite satisfying. I also enjoyed the late-night snack and ended up completely full. The location is great as well, and it’s an Accommodation that makes you want to come back again. However, the road there is steep and rough, so low-clearance cars may not be suitable.

    Luxury Resort Hotel for Young Affluent Travelers

    As many Reviews say, the quality is exceptionally high. I happened to get a Reservation this time, but solo stays are probably not allowed as a rule. As the title suggests, it’s best to assume this place is for young couples only. I don’t think it suits older couples either. You won’t see any middle-aged or older staff either (lol). Fortunately, Hakone has other high-quality Resort Hotels of a similar standard. For seniors, I would recommend one of those instead.

    I asked my husband i...

    I asked my husband if there was an Accommodation we’d like to visit again out of all the places we’ve been, and we ended up returning to NIKA for the second time for a birthday celebration trip. Just like last time, the staff’s hospitality and smiles were wonderful. The local beer and wine, and every meal at breakfast and dinner, were delicious—I was so glad we came back. Time flew by, and next time we’d love to stay for two nights so we can relax even more. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

    It was my first trip...

    It was my first trip to Hakone in a while, and the view of the Hakone mountains from the lobby, along with the fresh air, was wonderfully refreshing and truly rejuvenating. The Room is compact but has everything you need and is very comfortable. Dinner featured delicious dishes beautifully presented with seasonal ingredients, enjoyed with great wine, sake, and non-alcoholic options—making for a wonderful evening. Since we don’t drink much, we especially appreciated the wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Many Hotels in Hakone feel stylish in their hospitality, but here all the staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, which made our stay truly pleasant. We will definitely return.

    Exceptional hospitality

    I visited to celebrate my mother’s birthday. After I let you know in advance that she does not drink alcohol, all of the staff were so considerate and recommended non-alcoholic beverages. I was truly moved by the warmth in every detail of your hospitality. The bath in our Room was also wonderful, and I was able to relax by soaking many times. The meals were exceptional—so beautiful and delicious that they will stay with me forever. The hospitality from the staff during our meal was also outstanding, and it deeply impressed me. The cake you prepared and the photos you took touched us so much that we were overwhelmed with gratitude. In the morning, while enjoying the view from the lounge terrace, a staff member kindly told us about recommended places in Hakone, allowing us to start our second day in the best possible way. It was a truly wonderful Accommodation that made me want to return without fail.

    Seeking Hakone’s Cool Breeze

    Seeking Hakone’s cool climate, a trendy semi-open-air bath Room, and an all-inclusive stay, we chose this small Accommodation with only a few Rooms. The bath temperature was well managed, making it very pleasant. Dinner was enjoyed while taking in the night view, with a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks paired to the dishes; both the fish and meat courses were delicious. Breakfast also offered a great variety of side dishes, which we were very satisfied with. The Room had a nice atmosphere and was quiet and comfortable. One disappointment was that the locks on the bathroom and shower room were broken; since our Room was on the first floor, it felt a bit unsafe. All staff members seemed kind, and we appreciated their hospitality.

    The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The Onsen with natural hot spring water was excellent. I traveled with my middle school-aged son, and the specially arranged meals for his picky eating habits were very delicious. It was just a little disappointing that there seemed to be no benefits for Diamond members.

    Gora's Hakone Nika - Simply the Best!

    Thank you for a wonderful stay. With the all-inclusive service, I enjoyed various drinks such as sake, wine, and juice that I don't usually have. The dinner left a particularly strong impression; it started at 6:00 PM and ended at 8:35 PM—a delightful 2 hours and 35 minutes of dining. Each course was served in small portions but with numerous dishes, featuring exquisite items that can only be enjoyed here. The tea pairing served in wine glasses was a first-time experience for me and felt very stylish, though the tea flavor seemed slightly light. The staff provided exceptional hospitality—thank you so much for your kindness. The Onsen was also fantastic with its natural hot spring water directly flowing from the source; the texture was soft with a gentle Onsen aroma. The temperature adjustment responded immediately when set. The Room was stylish, and we were blessed with good weather on both days to enjoy breathtaking views of Gora's mountains from the front lobby—truly unforgettable scenery etched into my heart. Traveling three hours one way to get here was absolutely worth it—thank you so much!

    Enjoy a luxurious and relaxing stay.

    It was my first time staying at an accommodation where free drinks and luxurious snacks were delivered to the room, and I was truly impressed.     Obon Holiday

    We chose NICA in Hakone for this Obon holiday after checking IKYU, as our conditions were all-inclusive and a private open-air bath in the Room. Although it rained, we were able to relax comfortably inside the Room. The food, variety of drinks, and bath were excellent, and we were very satisfied.

    Perfect for wine (alcohol) lovers.

    This Hotel is an excellent choice for enjoying wine and other alcoholic beverages at a relaxed pace. While the free-flow system limits the selection of wine types, you can feel the thoughtful curation within those constraints, making it highly cost-effective. There are many options in Hakone within the same price range, but this was one of the few Facilities I wanted to revisit. The sommelier was outstanding as well.

    NICA Under Heavy Rain Warning

    Stayed for two nights, but on the second day, we stayed indoors due to a linear rainband in Hakone. Watching the rain from the semi-open-air bath was captivating, though slightly concerning. It seems there were fallen trees near the approach to the Hotel. It became a memorable experience. As always, the meals were delicious, and we could feel the chef's creativity and effort. The wine selection was updated and satisfying. We look forward to staying again!

    Highly satisfied.

    This was my first stay, and it was absolutely amazing. The variety of alcohol is excellent. Having all-inclusive room service is a delightful bonus. I enjoyed plenty of champagne. The Onsen in the room was so relaxing that I used it multiple times. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff's warm hospitality made the experience even better. I will definitely return!

    A beautiful Hotel with exceptional hospitality

    From the warm welcome upon arrival, I could immediately feel the quality of this accommodation. The room, dining, and service were all top-notch, and they responded flexibly to sudden requests, leaving me very satisfied. Room service was excellent as well, allowing for a relaxing day spent entirely in the room. The only point to note is that the road leading to the accommodation is narrow and can be challenging for cars to pass each other. However, the stunning views from both the room and shared spaces more than make up for this inconvenience. I would love to stay here again!
