    The quality was exactly as expected, and we had a wonderful time—everything from the meals and free-flow drinks to the room service was delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality. The only issue was that it was difficult to adjust the bath temperature, and it fluctuated between being very hot and lukewarm.

    Wonderful cuisine and warm, welcoming smiles full of hospitality

    It was my first visit in a while, and the chef’s outstanding cuisine is among the best in Hakone. True to its reputation, I was impressed by the skill honed through many years as a former sous-chef at Auberge Au Miradoro. From check-in to being shown to my Room and through dinner service, the staff member in charge greeted us with such warm hospitality and a wonderful smile that it truly put me at ease. Please cherish that smile always. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

    All-inclusive, including comfort.

    The dinner menu listed only the ingredients and invited us to use our imagination, but the presentation, cooking methods, and flavors far exceeded anything we could have imagined, making it a truly enjoyable time. The Room service offerings were also excellent and more than satisfying. And it wasn’t limited to food and drinks—everything we wished we had in the Room was already there, from in-room Facility features to amenities, offering the kind of convenience that feels like a home you’ve lived in for years. It was very thoughtfully designed—this is what “all-inclusive” should be. The layout of the Hollywood Twin we stayed in was outstanding as well. With suitcases, dishes, and other clutter fitting neatly into the counter-desk area, the Room stays tidy and spacious. Perhaps because Room service is so comprehensive there isn’t much demand for it, but the lounge free-drink area felt somewhat neglected. I would have loved to see a few more elements there to make that lounge area more enjoyable too.

    We had a wonderful, relaxing time!

    This was my first stay, and I truly enjoyed it. The staff’s hospitality was excellent, the wonderful Room with a semi-open-air bath in natural tones was very relaxing, and both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! I had a fantastic chill time. I’ll definitely visit again, specifically for Gora Onsen!

    A couple married for over 20 years

    This is my third visit, and every time I come, this Accommodation fills me with surprise and happiness. I love alcohol, so I always look forward to being able to enjoy great drinks anytime from check-in through dinner and even after the meal. My wife can’t drink, but she seems to stay motivated at work by looking forward to the meals at NICA every time. I’ve already made a Reservation for next month (lol). I can’t wait! Dinner is unbelievably delicious. There’s also a special dish served at breakfast… but I’ll leave the rest as a surprise for everyone.

    Perfect for a special treat

    We stayed here to celebrate multiple milestones as a couple. The lobby view was wonderful, and we felt great the moment we arrived. The Room was clean and more than spacious enough for two to enjoy a luxurious stay. We were lucky to avoid rain between the rainy-season showers, but having a semi-open-air bath meant we could use it comfortably even if it rained, which we really appreciated. With the all-inclusive plan, we enjoyed Room service as well, and every drink provided was delicious—we had an amazing time. Dinner was a course meal that was visually delightful, and everything tasted excellent. My husband has many allergies, and I am pregnant, so we often needed special consideration regarding ingredients, but everything was handled with great care. We also appreciated having photos taken for our celebration. Being able to have breakfast served in our Room was also fantastic—it allowed us to relax and take our time. All of the staff were very attentive, and we were extremely satisfied. We would love to visit again someday.

    Exceptional hospitality and exquisite cuisine

    We stayed as two couples to celebrate a friend’s wedding. With the all-inclusive plan, we could enjoy drinks whenever we wanted. In particular, a bottle of welcome champagne was prepared in our Room, and sipping champagne while soaking in the soothing Onsen was the best. Dinner was creative French cuisine with Japanese touches, and everything—from the amuse-bouche to crispy fish scales and the steak—was absolutely satisfying. This is a top-class Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful!

    This was our second stay. The hospitality, the spotless facilities, the atmosphere of the Room, the amenities, the Onsen, and the service—everything was wonderful. The food was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. We would love to visit again.

    I always have a wond...

    I always have a wonderful stay here. T, who picked us up, always comforts me with such a warm smile. The cuisine was artistic and beautiful, and everything from the amuse-bouche to dessert was delicious. The mushroom soup in particular was both stunning and flavorful. However, I was shocked to hear that Sommelier I has left. Even on days off, they would prepare selections to match my preferences, so I noticed from the very first glass. I wish I could have thanked them one last time… …Still, the chef’s food is excellent and the Onsen is wonderful, so I’ll be back again next month.

    A truly satisfying stay that exceeded expectations

    I have visited Hakone many times, but this stay was especially memorable. The view from the open-air bath in the guest room was breathtaking, and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace while taking in Hakone’s nature as it changes with the seasons. The property had a calm atmosphere, and I rarely felt aware of other guests, which made for a pleasantly private stay. Dinner far exceeded my expectations. The menu listed only the ingredients, and it was fun to imagine what kind of dish would come next—building anticipation for each course. Every dish served was exceptionally well executed, bringing out the best of each ingredient while offering both surprise and beauty. The wine pairings were also excellent, further enhancing each course. On my next visit, I think it could be interesting to bring out some special bottles and have them paired as well. Breakfast offered a wide variety of items, and you could really feel the care put into each one. That said, the fish served at breakfast (matsukasa-yaki) had very hard scales and wasn’t edible. It may have been an issue with preparation or perhaps the choice of fish. Since everything else was so outstanding, I hope this will be refined even further going forward. One factor that greatly increased my overall satisfaction was the high quality of room service. In addition, all staff members provided consistently courteous and pleasant service; their attentive yet perfectly balanced approach truly supports the refined quality of this Accommodation. The view, Onsen, cuisine, wine, and service—all were harmonized at a very high level. This is an Accommodation I can strongly recommend for adults who want to step away from everyday life and spend quiet time in comfort. I would love to return again in another season.

    Everything was excellent.

    Although our planned sightseeing fell through and we arrived at the Hotel much earlier than the scheduled check-in time, they kindly welcomed us. For the meals, I noted a few ingredients I don’t like, and they carefully removed even the smallest items—truly impressive. It’s not cheap, but it’s perfect for an anniversary. As my daughter is about to start living independently, we spent one night together as mother and daughter, and it became an unforgettable memory. Thank you very much.

    The hospitality here is outstanding!

    It was wonderful to be able to pair drinks however we liked thanks to the extensive alcohol selection, and having the lounge so close to our Room was also a big plus. We also opened the veranda-side window fully to enjoy a semi-open-air bath, which felt amazing—I went in many times. We travel somewhere every month, and for this milestone trip we couldn’t decide where to go, but choosing NICA was absolutely the right decision. Thanks to the friendly, approachable staff, it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much.

    Second Stay

    This was our second stay. We were truly impressed last time, so we came back—and once again we were extremely satisfied. Hakone Nica really lives up to its reputation. From check-in, it’s free-flow, so be careful not to eat and drink too much. Haha. The smoked platter from Room service—something we missed last time—was especially outstanding. On the way home, we even bought more at your affiliated shop near Odawara Station. The gin and tonic served at dinner left a strong impression, with a fun color-changing presentation. It tasted fantastic as well. We also enjoyed plenty of wine. On the other hand, when we stayed in 2024, we received as a gift the same chopsticks used at dinner, but that was no longer offered this time, which was a bit disappointing… I had heard the color changes every year, so I was secretly looking forward to it. The hair dryer in the Room had also been upgraded and felt easier to use than before. We stayed for our wedding anniversary this time, and we were very happy that you even prepared a surprise dessert plate at dinner. We’d love to visit again!

    A commemorative trip to celebrate the end of child-rearing.

    With our child-rearing years behind us, my wife and I took our first trip in a long time to celebrate and unwind. The Room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly. We enjoyed the bottle of wine in the Room and nibbled on smoked items from room service while opening the window by the open-air bath to take in the mountain views along with the Onsen. Dinner was excellent—the presentation, flavors, and serving timing were all spot-on, and the paired wines were wonderful as well. Breakfast was also quite generous, and we were very satisfied. As this is a Hotel that celebrates anniversaries, we had mentioned it was to mark the end of our child-rearing journey, but there was no celebratory plate or similar touch—disappointing. Also, there were no inari sushi for a late-night snack as mentioned in other Review(s), but given current circumstances that’s understandable. All in all, the staff were highly professional, and once the dining menu changes, we would love to stay again.

    The bathwater temperature was disappointing.

    Although we were told the bath water temperature would be automatically maintained, when I tried to use it in the morning it was so hot I nearly got burned, which was disappointing. All of the staff were very professional, including some international team members, and thanks to them we had a pleasant stay.

    I have stayed here every year since 2022, and this was my fifth stay.\nOnce again, after check-in I was able to fully enjoy room service, including dinner and delicious wine.\nThe main dish at dinner—the gamecock—was especially tasty, and I would love to have it again.\nAfter that, there was a power outage for about four hours, but once power was restored you promptly took care of everything, and I was able to enjoy the same delicious breakfast as always.\nThe freshly cooked rice you prepared despite the difficult circumstances was especially delicious.\nI will visit again next year.

    An unforgettable birthday with delicious food and wine!

    We visited to celebrate a birthday trip. What left the biggest impression was the delicious food. Everything from appetizers to sweets was excellent, and the wine pairing was great as well. The main meat and fish dishes, along with the pasta risotto, were especially memorable. Since my husband doesn’t drink alcohol, he tried tea pairing for the first time. Breakfast was also plentiful, and we were able to enjoy a relaxed meal in the morning. We were also happy to see a small cherry blossom tree from our Room and private open-air bath. When staying at an Accommodation with an open-air bath, insects can sometimes be an issue, but this Accommodation had glass windows that can be opened and closed, which was a great feature. Because the Facility is compact, we enjoyed a peaceful stay—ordering room service in our Room while listening to music and reading books. As it’s all-inclusive, we could enjoy drinks without worrying about extra charges. One thing that would have been nice is having a few more varieties of sweets. Above all, the staff’s refreshing smiles and pleasant service made it possible for us to spend a wonderful birthday here. Thank you very much! We’d love to visit again.

    [Room] It was disappointing that the bed is placed right by the entrance. I didn’t think a Japanese-style room was necessary. The pajamas were very comfortable. [Dining] The food was delicious, but two and a half hours felt too long. I was tired. Since it’s an all-inclusive Accommodation, we also enjoyed the snacks, and we were satisfied with the dinner pairings. However, perhaps because many guests come to enjoy alcohol, some seemed to get quite loud early on. When the guests next door were in the bath, they were shouting loudly and it was disruptive. We could hear them even inside our Room, and unfortunately our bath times often overlapped, which irritated me each time. Dinner gradually started to feel like an izakaya-like atmosphere as well. With so few guest rooms, I expected a quiet place to relax, but it wasn’t what I anticipated. It may attract many guests mainly for the all-inclusive offering. The views are great, but considering the high risk of not being able to spend time quietly, I hesitate to return.

    Everything was excellent.

    Both the quality of the Room and the Hotel staff’s hospitality were outstanding. Above all, I was impressed that the all-inclusive menu is satisfying whether you drink alcohol or not—there are non-alcoholic options beyond simple juice, including cocktails. The snacks were also plentiful and restaurant-quality, such as smoked sausages, and I understood why everyone is so impressed. Thank you for the birthday surprise! I’ll be back!

    I’d love to stay here again.

    I visit Hakone every year, and this is a Hotel I definitely want to return to. Since it’s all-inclusive, there’s no need to worry about drink charges. That said, as we’re older, it was a shame we could only manage three drinks each. If we were a bit younger, we probably could have enjoyed a little more. I’d love to stay again.

    My expectations were too high...

    Perhaps because it was IKYU Plus, we were drawn in by the beautiful photos and Reviews and made a Reservation with our expectations at their peak. From the stunning view upon arrival to the welcome drinks—beer and champagne—and even the room service, everything initially exceeded our expectations. However, that’s where the disappointment began. The quality of the smoked items from room service steadily declined. Telling ourselves, “Dinner will surely be amazing,” we headed to the dining room. Under the banner of “creative cuisine,” ingredients that didn’t justify the price were used, and we couldn’t be satisfied with either the quality or the portion sizes. On top of that, wine was served by staff who clearly lacked proper knowledge. We feel foolish for being swayed at our age by an all-inclusive plan and thinking we could simply enjoy ourselves at a stylish Facility. We are grateful to the staff members who served us sincerely and wholeheartedly. Thank you very much.

    After your round of golf,

    After golfing in Hakone, we always come here to relax together as a couple in our Room. The drinks and the amount of food are just right for us now. All the staff are consistently pleasant and welcoming, so we head home feeling refreshed.

    We truly had an exceptionally satisfying stay that lived up to the Reviews. After changing jobs and moving, we chose this trip with the feeling of “let’s do our best together from here.” We mainly wanted to relax, but delicious drinks, great food, and an Onsen were essential—perfect for adults looking for just that. We’re already talking about coming back again as a well-deserved reward trip for the two of us. Our sincere thanks to the Hotel staff who took care of us.     I’ve found another favorite Accommodation in Hakone.

    I visited with my daughter. The meals were outstanding. The dishes were carefully prepared without being overly gimmicky, and the ingredients really shone through. In particular, the combination of cauliflower purée sauce and red shrimp tartare was excellent. The dessert made with local citrus was also truly impressive. I was also impressed that the free-flow wine selection included Perrier and a Pauillac second wine. Just one note: the bath water temperature in the Room was sometimes much hotter than indicated, so it might be helpful to add a notice such as “Please check the temperature before entering.” Perhaps this is due to adding high-temperature spring water. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay with absolutely no complaints. I would love to visit again.

    We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. We had seen some Reviews saying it was more suited to younger guests, but as a couple in our 70s, we felt completely at ease and were warmly welcomed. We are truly grateful to all the staff. Their refreshing smiles were incredibly soothing. The meals were outstanding—we were deeply impressed by the freshness and high quality of the ingredients, and by the delicately seasoned dinner with an artistic touch. The breakfast smoothie, shabu-shabu, and fluffy rice were all delicious. Although we usually eat small portions, we ended up enjoying quite a lot because everything was so good. We hadn’t mentioned it (a secret?), but it happened to be my birthday month, so at the end of dinner a celebratory birthday plate was suddenly brought out right in front of us. The surprise made us truly happy, and the cake was absolutely wonderful. The bath was very pleasant as well, and even the futon—rare for me—had exactly the feel I like. It was a fantastic stay. Thank you very much.

    Unfortunately...

    This is a secluded Hotel with a panoramic view over Hakone Town. Starting with the welcome drink, drinks in the Room and at the front desk, as well as room service, are all-inclusive. The fluffy slippers and sophisticated interior let us enjoy an extraordinary atmosphere. Both the food and the paired wines were delicious. However, there were some disappointing moments. Since it was my birthday, they prepared a message plate and took commemorative photos for us, but the timing was extremely poor. We had requested room service after our bath, and they came at that exact moment—so the photo was taken with me bare-faced in a bathrobe. Also, at breakfast they spilled tea when placing the tray, and it was unbelievable that my name on the Receipt was incorrect. This may be a harsh Review, but given what we paid, it was disappointing.
