    The Onsen was very relaxing.

    It had been a while since my last visit after coming here shortly after its opening. The Onsen in the large public bath was spacious, with perfectly warm water that felt great. The building was clean, and the water terrace overlooking Lake Ashi truly gave off the "Hanaori" vibe. The buffet now includes an all-you-can-drink alcohol option, which was a nice addition, though it was disappointing that steak is no longer available. One noticeable change was the front desk staff—I hope they can bring more energy and enthusiasm to their service.

    Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, we chose this accommodation in Hakone for the first time in a while. As rumored, the guest rooms were clean, the facilities were excellent, and the meals were truly delightful. The Kamakura beer and craft beer were delicious. The ice cream was especially rich, and it was incredibly tasty when added to coffee. The onsen was relatively spacious and allowed for a relaxing soak. If coming from Togendai, you enter from the back side of the facility, but it only takes a few minutes to get there, making it very convenient.

    I booked a Standard ...

    I booked a Standard Twin room for two with a friend. The private onsen was only available for 40 minutes, which felt rushed when leaving. Since it costs 3,000 yen, I wish the time could be extended to about an hour. Occasionally, the shower didn’t provide warm water properly. Considering the price, I feel there could have been more amenities and services provided. The buffet offered both Japanese and Western dishes and was very delicious! In the morning, we got a window-side seat and enjoyed our meal with a wonderful view. However, I was slightly disappointed as the selection of fruits and desserts wasn’t very impressive.

    We reserved this Hot...

    We reserved this Hotel for our trip to Hakone as a couple, inspired by seeing it in a TV drama. The view of Lake Ashi while soaking in the footbath was breathtaking. Although we were hoping for a lake view from the open-air bath in our Room, we could only see trees and the road below. The location is excellent, with the ropeway and pirate ship dock just a short walk away. The large public bath was spacious and featured a garden, creating an open and relaxing atmosphere. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a wide variety of options, including unlimited local beer and other alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

    Excellent

    We encountered a typhoon, but thanks to the shuttle service, we stayed dry. At the buffet, alcohol-free drinks, coffee, and tea were available anytime. We also enjoyed the massage chairs, facial equipment, and Onsen. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

    It was wonderful.

    It was a wonderful hotel as rumored! The shuttle service from Odawara Station made it very convenient and appreciated. The water terrace was smaller than I imagined, but I was happy to take beautiful photos! The front desk staff were very kind and polite, leaving a great impression. As mentioned in reviews, the room we stayed in was far away. Although I don't have any mobility issues and considered it good walking exercise, I got lost a few times! We rented a private bath, which was spacious and relaxing. In the early morning when the public bath was less crowded, I enjoyed the open-air reclining bath for ultimate relaxation! However, the massage chair near the public bath wasn't functioning properly with its air feature—please consider inspecting it. Since our stay coincided with my son's birthday, we ordered a message plate during dinner. Despite my indecisiveness past the deadline for orders, they kindly accommodated us—it meant so much to us! The meals were especially delicious with an abundance of fresh seafood options that we thoroughly enjoyed. With Togendai Station for ropeway and pirate ship rides just about 3 minutes on foot, sightseeing was also delightful. This has become one of our favorite accommodations that we'd love to visit again!

    Delicious buffet

    The buffet for dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. You can choose from a selection of colorful floral-patterned yukatas to wear inside the facility, which was very exciting. At the restaurant, they kindly provided cute elastic bands to prevent yukata sleeves from getting dirty.

    We had a great time.

    There was no special notice, but I was delighted to find that my Room had been upgraded. Additionally, during dinner, there was a free drink service, and I enjoyed craft beer. This was a service that wasn’t available during my previous stay... I had an absolutely satisfying stay. Thank you very much!

    Prime Location

    I stayed alone in a casual twin room. The location was excellent, and the views from shared spaces like the lobby and restaurant were stunning. Although the room was comfortable, it was not on the lakeside, so I had to keep the shades closed as it faced the parking lot. The lobby lounge offered drink service, and there were plenty of sofas and chairs available to relax while enjoying the view. However, I felt that staying in a lakeside room would allow me to fully appreciate this hotel’s charm. Next time, I will choose a lakeside room. Thanks to its mid-level floors and horizontally long structure, there was no waiting for elevators in the accommodation building at all. It was also very quiet as I barely noticed any noise or presence of other guests during my stay. I was surprised during dinner at how many guests were actually staying when I saw them gathered in the restaurant! There was a water purifier provided in my room instead of bottled water often found at other hotels, which felt wasteful—this is an excellent feature! The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes with even a baby food section available, catering to diverse needs. The staff members were kind and attentive, providing comfortable support throughout my stay. Since I traveled by train, having a shuttle bus from Odawara Station was very convenient for me. The shuttle bus tends to be almost full even on weekdays; therefore, if you complete your accommodation reservation early on, it is recommended that you reserve your seat on the bus as well!

    First visit to Hanawori in 5 years

    This was my second stay after five years. A self-service check-in machine had been introduced. After getting off the shuttle bus from Odawara, I was directed to the machine without any staff assistance, which surprised me as it felt mandatory. However, subsequent guests were guided to a staffed front desk. I wish there had been an option to choose between the two methods. If I had used the front desk, I could have discussed and decided on dinner reservations or shuttle service for my return at that time. Although instructions about making dinner reservations were clearly stated on the paper issued by the self-check-in machine, it’s hard to notice such details immediately upon arrival when carrying luggage and feeling rushed. If using the machine is necessary, it would be helpful if it allowed confirmation of such items or asked if there are any questions directly on-screen. The initial impression felt like a business hotel, which was disappointing upon arrival. That said, everything else was excellent—the room was clean, meals were delicious with prompt replenishment when needed, and all hotel staff were kind and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful stay in Hakone. Thank you very much!

    A Long-Awaited Stay

    This was my third stay in four years. The all-you-can-drink option for alcohol was a nice change. I was able to book the accommodation at a very reasonable price during the time sale. Since alcohol is available even during breakfast, I took the train to Odawara Station and used the shuttle service. It had been a while since my last visit, but the facility remained as clean as ever. Although there seemed to be fewer dishes than before, everything was delicious, and there were still plenty of dessert options. It's unfortunate that there are no entertainment facilities at the hotel. I would love to visit again if I have another opportunity.

    This is my favorite accommodation with a good balance of price, service, cuisine, and facilities.

    Compared to higher-priced ryokans with private baths, this accommodation is about half the price and offers good value for money. There are no particular drawbacks, and it provides a stable experience.

    The hotel offered excellent value for the price. While there weren’t many opportunities for direct service, the staff provided attentive assistance from the shuttle service to meal guidance. Meals were served buffet-style, featuring appetizers, sashimi, and some elaborately prepared dishes. While it was impossible to try everything, there was a perfect variety and volume to enjoy without feeling regret. (I don’t drink alcohol, but drinks—including alcoholic options—were free and had a good selection.) Free tea was available in the facility and near the Onsen area, while vending machines offered reasonably priced items instead of typical hotel pricing. The bath area was moderately spacious with clean facilities like a sauna and Dyson hair dryers. Hakone offers accommodations ranging from budget-friendly hotels to luxury Ryokan stays, but this hotel struck just the right balance—I’d love to visit again!

    Great views and delicious food!

    The view was fantastic, and the food was delicious—absolutely satisfying! My husband, who loves beer, was also very pleased with the craft beer selection. We will definitely visit again!

    We had a wonderful time.

    We used this accommodation for a family trip. It offered great cost performance, and even our children, who are now in middle school or older, were delighted. When we lost something, the staff kindly assisted us. We would love to stay here again.

    Stunning View

    I found this Hotel through an Instagram ad and made a Reservation immediately. Since it was summer vacation, it was very crowded. I believe this Hotel is suitable for all types of guests, including families, young couples, elderly couples, and international visitors. The Hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff provided excellent service. There were various bath options available: a large public bath, private open-air baths, and open-air baths in the Room. Meals were served buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, with unlimited alcoholic beverages being one of the main attractions. The food was beautifully presented with a wide variety of dishes to choose from—all delicious! For dinner at night, you need to reserve your time using a QR card for 1 hour and 30 minutes at the restaurant. For breakfast between 7:00-9:00 AM, you can go at any time you like; however, around 8:00 AM it gets slightly crowded with some people waiting to enter. One thing that concerned me was that after returning to my Room following dinner, I found one futon already laid out in the Japanese-style room. Perhaps I missed some written instructions about this somewhere; however, it would have been helpful if this had been explained verbally during check-in as well. It felt slightly uncomfortable since I had left valuables in the Room. Other than that minor issue though—everything else allowed me to enjoy my stay comfortably while creating wonderful memories!

    I visited after a long time, and overall, it felt better than before.

    The staff were as wonderful as those at Karaku. However, there were times when the front desk was understaffed, and even when I went to pick up the key for the private bath 10 minutes prior, I had to wait until the last minute. It might be because many guests ask about sightseeing, which takes time per person. There were also situations where no one was at the front desk due to being busy with souvenir handling, and it was disappointing to have to wait even though it wasn’t late at night or early in the morning. Last time during Christmas, the water terrace decorations were beautiful but too cold to enjoy outside fully. This time, I could relax on the terrace while enjoying a cool morning breeze—it felt great! The main dish of the meal was not very impressive; however, as a beer lover, I appreciated having three types of beer available (though unfortunately could only try two). It’s perfect for enjoying some snacks with beer. The soft-serve ice cream and pudding that weren’t available last time were incredibly delicious this visit! The private bath was calm and very pleasant. In terms of drinks in the lobby area—there was only coffee among warm beverages; having warm tea would be nice for those who don’t drink coffee like me. Although some time has passed since its opening, everything is still clean and well-maintained. The new accommodation is barrier-free and provides peace of mind. There are several shuttle services from Odawara Station which made sightseeing convenient—this helped us a lot! Thank you so much. Hakone has become crowded even on weekdays due to an increase in foreign visitors recently; hence we avoided visiting for a while but would love to return again during another season!

    Family-Friendly Hotel

    We stayed as a couple. Upon arrival, we received the room key and went to our Room, but the card key did not work due to registration issues. After having it replaced by staff, it still failed to unlock twice, leaving us waiting in the hot hallway for 10 minutes. Additionally, the standard twin Room with an open-air bath was quite far from the main building, making trips for meals or to the large public bath rather challenging. The food at the restaurant was delicious with an all-you-can-drink alcohol option, which was great; however, it was very crowded and tables were placed too close together for a relaxing atmosphere. The place had a lively vibe with many families around. The one highlight was the stunning view of Lake Ashi from the lobby.

    A Hotel with 80% Foreign Guests

    The hotel in Hakone was very spacious and lovely. However, there was a piece of nasal mucus stuck on the wall near the bed in the room, so I requested cleaning. It was likely left by an overseas guest. Although it was unpleasant, unfortunately, there was no room change available. The footbath in the lobby was occupied by overseas guests drinking alcohol and staying for long periods, so I couldn't use it even once. During dinner, a group of Western families were loudly talking, singing (with unlimited alcohol), and their children were running around. Since it was a special occasion for us, we were moved to another table upon request. It’s disappointing to stay with guests who lack manners—some even wore yukata improperly. The hotel and staff are wonderful; however, these experiences ruined our stay.

    The Hotel is new and clean, the service was excellent, and the buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. The all-you-can-drink option included plenty of alcoholic beverages, which made it very satisfying! I would definitely like to stay here again.

    The Hotel exceeded expectations. Excellent value for money.

    I didn't have high expectations, but the buffet dishes were well-prepared and enjoyable. The hospitality of the restaurant staff was particularly excellent. The routes within the Hotel are somewhat complex, and the location is a bit inconvenient, but overall, considering the price, I am quite satisfied.

    Second Stay

    I stayed at this accommodation two years ago in autumn, so I am a repeat guest. Last time, I stayed in a twin room, but this time I was lucky to reserve a twin room with an open-air bath. We decided to travel suddenly during the Obon holiday and chose the Hakone Pass on the Odakyu Romancecar to avoid crowds. It turned into a packed trip with buses, mountain trains, ropeways, pirate ships, and art museums. The room and bath were clean, the meals were delicious—it was perfect. My husband enjoyed beer and highballs and was in great spirits. During dinner, the restaurant staff kindly took a photo of us together; we talked about wanting to come back again someday. The footbath and water terrace were also lovely; we enjoyed the scenery from dusk into nightfall.

    This hotel is among the best I have stayed at, including various Ryokans and Hotels. The hotel, including the Room, was very clean and comfortable. Here are some highlights: 1) The food was incredibly delicious. Despite having many guests, the buffet was well-stocked without running out of ingredients—impressive! 2) Alcoholic beverages were available at no extra charge. Complimentary tea and herbal tea were also always available near the lobby and bath area. 3) The view from the window was excellent. Having chairs and a table on the balcony made it enjoyable to relax outside. 4) Face towels and bath towels were always available in the large public bath area, which was convenient. The basket provided in the Room showed thoughtful attention to detail as well. 5) Many of the staff members were young but kind, polite, and pleasant to interact with—even those who came for bed-making left a good impression! 6) There wasn’t much waiting time for elevators; stairs were also conveniently located nearby, reducing stress when heading to meals or baths. Lastly, weather plays a big role here—on sunny days you can take photos as beautiful as those on their website! While we had great weather on our arrival day, it rained on our second day—but that’s beyond anyone’s control!

    This was our second stay following last summer. We were very satisfied with both the buffet and the private open-air bath. My son, who is particular about food (especially French fries), was overjoyed to find them at dinner and ate quite a lot. We have only visited during the busy Obon holiday season, so next time we would like to visit on a weekday for a more relaxed experience.

    This was my first stay, and overall, I was satisfied. The accommodation has many rooms, and while it was lively during check-in due to the number of guests, it felt surprisingly calm once inside. I was particularly concerned that the onsen and dining areas might be very crowded, but they were unexpectedly smooth and enjoyable. One minor inconvenience is that the main building with the lobby is separate from the accommodation wing. Additionally, the room felt a bit small and less relaxing; I would recommend opting for a larger room if possible. The meals were delicious, making this a highly satisfying hotel experience overall.

    This was my second stay since visiting 5 years ago. The bath and sauna were very relaxing, various teas were available in the lobby, and the meals were delicious. However, I was a bit surprised that there was no prior information about meal time reservations, and when I checked in at 3:30 PM, only 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM slots were available. I enjoyed trying out beauty appliances like humidifiers and Dyson hair dryers, as well as the excellent meal options. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay! I would love to visit again.

    I booked this hotel, ranked No.1 overall, for my mother's first trip to Hakone. The dinner buffet was delightful with unlimited drinks including two types of craft beer, Kirin Ichiban Shibori, and various wines. The food selection and seasoning were well-balanced and excellent. The bath was not an onsen but a large public bath; it was spacious, clean, uncrowded, and very relaxing. The atmosphere was wonderful as guests of all ages—families, couples, and international visitors—enjoyed their stay while maintaining good manners. I’d love to come back next time with my child!
