    It was a highly satisfying stay.

    This was my second stay. Since I use the Shinkansen, I chose to stay here again because it is conveniently located near the station. Thanks to the clean and comfortable Room, I had a pleasant trip. I would love to stay here again when visiting Kyoto. Thank you very much!

    I often stay here when visiting Kyoto. Stayed as a couple. While the building is old, the service was excellent as expected from a long-established brand, making our stay comfortable once again. The room had been renovated and even upgraded, which greatly enhanced our satisfaction. The renovation made it feel like excellent value for money. As usual, we dined at "Sichuan" once for lunch and once for dinner, and it was great.

    I have been using this Hotel for about 30 years. Recently, it has become lively with many international travelers, but the staff remains consistently polite and kind. It is a Hotel with unwavering security and trustworthiness.

    A spacious and relaxing Room

    The reception was unhelpful, which was disappointing, but I was satisfied as the Room seemed to be upgraded to a larger one. However, it was the Room farthest from the elevator, so I would have appreciated being informed about that in advance.

    Concerns

    This time, I stayed for two nights in the South Wing. I have stayed about 15 times so far. What concerned me was that the water in the air purifier was empty. I think it was the same last time as well. Since it is installed, I would like it to be usable. Next time I stay, at least make sure my room is ready, please. I might stay again later this year.

    Highly Satisfied

    The Room in a quiet area allowed me to relax and enjoy my stay. I have used this place several times, and its location near Kyoto Station makes it very convenient for transportation. Breakfast was enjoyable as it was less crowded when I went at a slightly later time, allowing for a more relaxed experience. I would love to stay here again. Thank you!

    The reservation was for the main building, but we stayed in the South Wing. It seems there were many group guests, so we assume this was a thoughtful arrangement. However, my companion is currently using a cane, and to reduce any burden, we had reserved the main building as we are familiar with it from previous stays. It was also my companion's wish to stay at your hotel. Perhaps we should have consulted in advance, but it was difficult to determine how much personal information to disclose. Other than that point, the room provided was comfortable and easy to use, allowing us to relax during our stay. The breakfast options of rice or porridge were delightful and delicious. Thank you very much!

    Conveniently located near the station.

    The accommodation was almost fully automated, so there was no interaction with the staff. Therefore, I rated it mostly as "3." The lobby was lively and crowded with a majority of foreign guests, giving me a sense of the current inbound tourism situation. Since I stayed at a reasonable price, it's hard to complain, but here are my thoughts: ① It would have been nice if there were amenities like skincare sets provided, similar to other hotels. ② Water had to be fetched from a water dispenser in the hallway; however, since it wasn't convenient to go out in loungewear and required changing clothes each time, bottled water in the room would have been appreciated. ③ The room was comfortable and allowed for a relaxing stay. ④ Its proximity to the station made transportation very convenient.

    A very beautiful Hotel

    This was my first time staying here. When passing by the Hotel, I thought, "Maybe it's a bit old?" But both the interior and the Room are very clean. The location is convenient and excellent!

    I made a reservation on behalf of an acquaintance, but...

    A friend expressed gratitude for booking a very nice hotel. It was close to the station, the room was great, and breakfast offered a variety of choices, which they really enjoyed! The friend, who is a foreigner, mentioned being slightly surprised when asked to make the final payment during check-in (they called to confirm). Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the complicated reservation.

    A long-established, trusted Hotel

    For the price range, it’s not much different from other Business Hotels, but its solid construction and classic furnishings really set it apart. The location is excellent as well. Sometimes the rates go up and it falls outside my business travel budget, but if possible, I’d like to stay here every time.

    Close to Kyoto Station, it was comfortable.

    There was a room upgrade service, and I was able to relax in a more spacious Room. Breakfast was set. The time until it was served was somewhat long, and I had the next schedule, so I was a little worried, but the meal content was satisfying in appearance, content, and quantity. One thing that concerned me is that check-in is done by yourself using a machine. The input is not difficult as per the instructions, but according to my husband who watched from behind, the input contents are fully visible. Since it contains personal information such as phone numbers abundantly, I felt it would be better if there were more consideration given. The next day they kept our luggage for us so we could enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto lightly loaded. Thank you for your hospitality.

    It was very convenient and comfortable.

    Since my family home is in the suburbs of Kyoto, I usually don't use hotels, but the day before, I received a message that my father was bedridden with a cold. My wife and daughter were looking forward to sightseeing in Kyoto, so we hurriedly searched for a hotel and made a reservation at this hotel near Kyoto Station with a review rating of 4 or higher and seemed reasonably priced. The result was perfect. It seems we were upgraded, and the room with a direct view of Kyoto Station had such a great view that we never got tired of it. Since there were three of us using the beds, one should have been an extra bed, but we couldn't tell which one it was. All the beds were comfortable to sleep on; we got good sleep and could relax on the plush sofa as well. Additionally, services like storing our luggage before check-in and check-in guidance were courteous. There were many foreign guests as well; Europeans stood out but there was no noise disturbance, giving the entire hotel a calm atmosphere. We didn't dine inside since there were many restaurants we wanted to visit outside; however, both lunch and dinner times saw lines forming at their restaurant indicating its good reputation too. In future visits to my family home area without staying over at their place again—I plan on using this hotel instead!

    I stayed at this property for the first time in over a decade. The room was spacious, renovated, and very clean. It was disappointing that there were no amenities like body cream. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

    Check-in and check-out were easy and smooth, which was great. We had Japanese cuisine for dinner. It was delicious. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and was also delicious. I thought it would have been nice if water had been put in the humidifier tank in the Room. Is it left empty to prevent bacterial growth?

    This time, I was supposed to meet a friend after a long time and have drinks near the station, but since nothing was open around Kyoto Station after 10 PM, we ended up returning to the Hotel early and relaxing! Perhaps because I booked through IKYU, my Room was upgraded. Since checkout is at 11 AM, I could relax even after breakfast. You can choose breakfast from three places. Since I wanted to eat various things for the first time in a while, I chose the buffet. It felt ordinary. There were many people of Indian descent at the Hotel.

    The smell of body odor from the rooms and hallways was strong, making it difficult to have a pleasant stay. Additionally, the staff varied greatly in their helpfulness; even when my hands were full with heavy luggage at check-in, no assistance was offered, and I was directed to the machine to handle everything myself. The delivery staff were also unfriendly and rude, unsuitable for customer service. I understand there may be various circumstances, but this was the first time I had such an unpleasant stay, and it was disappointing.

    Body hair from all guests in the bathroom

    After checking in, I discovered body hair from a previous guest (or perhaps the cleaning staff?) next to the bathroom basin. I was too tired from the late-night check-in to complain, but it left me feeling somewhat uneasy about the overall cleanliness of the room. Other than that, there were no issues. However, as is common these days, Asian foreigners (speaking Chinese (Beijing Putonghua)) are noticeable, but if that doesn't bother you, I recommend it.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    The smell of the shower curtain was concerning. I requested a Japanese-style breakfast. It was very delicious. The subtle sweetness of the tofu seasoned with Saikyo miso was particularly delightful. It was disappointing that there was no coffee in the Room or the lobby. I hoped to see the garden when I opened the curtains, but it was the building next door. (laughs)
