    I stayed for two nights.

    This was my first stay. It felt like there were many inbound tour groups, and several arrived by bus. With so many guest rooms, I think it’s well suited for groups. I stayed in a room in the South Wing, a relatively new building. The Facility seemed a bit dated, but the Room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, facing the courtyard. The bathroom was a unit bath, but the bathtub felt somewhat small. For check-in there were both staffed counters and self-service machines, which seemed to help reduce congestion. There was also a doorman wearing a traditional hat, which added to the atmosphere. It’s conveniently located close to the station, so I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Conveniently located near the station, I had a comfortable and worry-free stay.

    Both check-in and check-out were easy and convenient with the self-service machines. We also received a complimentary upgrade and stayed in a Room with a Nespresso machine. It’s close to Kyoto Station, which made moving our luggage much easier. I’d like to stay again.

    Stay for a memorial service

    I stayed on the Monday before a long holiday and had a comfortable stay at a reasonable rate. The parking lot was spacious and flat, with in-and-out access, and JPY 2,000 per day was good value for such a convenient location near the station. It seemed that most guests were inbound international travelers, but it wasn’t noisy, and I was able to sleep well in peace. I would like to stay again.

    Convenient location

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station, making it easy to stroll around and find places to eat after sightseeing. Since I chose this Hotel mainly for sightseeing, I had no particular issues with other aspects. The Room felt like an older-generation style and was a bit dark (carpet color and lighting). I also noticed a distinctive odor in the Room that is common in older Hotels. As for size, it was the typical space you’d expect from a Business Hotel, and it was more than sufficient for sightseeing purposes.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    The Hotel is very close to the station. The building is old, but the toilet and bath were new, and the Room was clean. When I turned on the air purifier, the Room started to smell like cigarette smoke, which was a problem. They replaced it the next day, but I deducted a star because of that.

    I stayed here this time because it is right in front of Kyoto Station and there was a good-value Plan. At check-in, the machine notified me of an upgrade, and I was assigned a Room with separate bath and toilet, which was very comfortable. Since it is near the station, I was worried about train noise, but perhaps because my Room faced south, it did not bother me at all. However, there were two negative points. 1) No hospitality from Hotel staff The staff at the cloakroom before check-in, the staff inside the building during check-in, and the front desk staff at checkout were all unfriendly. No one greeted me first; they only responded after I spoke to them. I felt that even staff at an inexpensive Business Hotel are more attentive. This Hotel feels appropriate for its discounted price. (I had checked the Reviews beforehand, and unfortunately they were exactly as described.) 2) Poor manners from the neighboring Room It sounded like a group gathered in one Room; even after 10 p.m., there was loud noise such as children shouting, and I could hear conversations word for word. It was unpleasant. While this is partly a guest etiquette issue, it also made me feel that the walls are thin—an environment where it is difficult to talk comfortably even with your companion in your own Room.

    The location is excellent.

    Pros: Great location. You can arrive with almost no need for an umbrella even in the rain, and there are casual restaurants, convenience stores, and an AEON Mall nearby, which is very convenient. Staff training throughout the Hotel is thorough and everyone was very courteous. There is a space in the lobby where you can wait, so it was easy to have a friend wait comfortably. The Room had a capsule espresso machine and it was delicious; since this was a Multiple Night Stay, refills were handled smoothly. I think the system where each guest goes to the server room to pick up mineral water is efficient with no waste. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Overall it feels a bit old, but cleaning is thorough. Different impression: I chose the South Wing because Reviews said it was good, but the interior feels quite old. In many places the wallpaper seams were lifting and starting to peel. It didn’t match the impression from the photos. Amenities are minimal, and there are no skincare/cosmetic items at all, so you need to bring your own. Sometimes there is a sewer smell coming from the bathroom, so it’s better to keep the door closed at all times. You cannot watch YouTube or Netflix on the TV.

    Hmm.

    The service from the women at the front desk and in the restaurant was terrible. They were unfriendly and very irritating. Most guests were inbound travelers. Upon entering from the entrance, there were a large number of suitcases left out, as if they couldn’t be stored away. So-so.

    We were able to relax and unwind at our own pace!

    I have stayed here many times before, and this time the check-in process was automated, making it very quick and easy with no waiting time—an excellent improvement. The Facility and Room were as clean and well maintained as always, and I was very satisfied. I was able to relax until check-out time, which was truly wonderful. I will visit again.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    Conveniently located near Kyoto Station. It’s just across the street after exiting from the west-side exit of the station shopping area “Miyakomichi.” The Room was spacious and clean, and I was able to relax comfortably. However, it was a corner Room facing the courtyard, so the view from the window was a bit disappointing. The staff were kind and courteous. At check-in, I was directed to a self-service machine, but since I couldn’t complete the process there and had to return to the counter, my turn for check-in ended up being slightly delayed (which is understandable), but still disappointing. There were also foreign tour groups, and depending on the time, the lobby was very crowded and noisy, which was unfortunate. The restaurant (breakfast buffet) offered a wide variety of dishes, including many items you don’t often find elsewhere, which was great.

    This was my second stay. I stayed again because it was great last time, but since a few years have passed, some things had changed. Overall I was satisfied, but from an SDGs perspective the water service has switched from plastic bottles to refillable containers, and I had to take the container to fill it at the vending machine area next to the elevator hall. I think the initiative itself is wonderful. However, it was far from my Room and the container doesn’t hold much, so I went once but ended up buying a large bottle of water at a nearby convenience store. When staying at a Hotel, I want to relax, so having to go out of my way to fetch water from far away feels like a hassle. It’s possible there was a closer location. I would appreciate it if the water dispenser locations were easier to find and placed at a convenient distance so it doesn’t feel burdensome.

    Blissful Moments

    I stay in Kyoto a few times a year, not for sightseeing but to visit my husband’s family home and to accompany him to class reunions. Since we often travel by car, I look for a Hotel with parking. This was my first stay here. The cleanliness, the spacious Room, the comfortable bed, and the location right near the station were all excellent. Although there were many guests staying, it was very quiet and comfortable. It’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    Honest impressions

    Due to rising Accommodation costs, I have recently been using Business Hotels. However, thanks to this campaign, I was able to stay at a lower rate. My Room was upgraded to the new wing, but I have no particular impressions, including the furnishings. For breakfast, I chose the buffet on the first day and Japanese set meal on the second day. The buffet was crowded. The selection was acceptable, but there were shortages of coffee and miso soup, which felt like a lack of management. The Japanese set meal seemed standard compared with similar places.

    Reliable service

    Thank you for your hospitality. You kindly stored my luggage in the morning, and at check-in I received a complimentary upgrade to a twin Room for single use. The Room had a great view of the Shinkansen right in front, and I enjoyed watching them come and go. For breakfast I chose the buffet, which was high quality and made me feel I was staying at a first-class Hotel. Next time, I would like to try the Japanese breakfast as well. As this is Kyoto, there were many international guests, and I was impressed by how fluent the staff were in foreign languages. It is conveniently located near the station, so it is a Hotel I would like to use again.

    A convenient and comfortable Hotel near the station

    This is a Hotel I stay at occasionally for work. It’s conveniently located in front of the station, with plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby, plus a large AEON mall just steps away.

    Great value for money.

    Simply and pleasantly good. The Room had a high ceiling, slippers, and all the basic amenities. The capsule café was also available, which I appreciated. If I had to mention one downside, perhaps because I’m used to LED lighting, I would have liked the Room lights to be a bit brighter. That’s all.

    I stayed in March with my daughter’s family. Since we were traveling with small children, choosing the Miyako Hotel instead of a Business Hotel was absolutely the right decision. Our Room was upgraded, which was wonderful. In the evening we had Chinese cuisine, and as expected from a Hotel, the service timing was excellent. The food was delicious as well. I wondered if it might feel a bit formal with small children, but our kids behaved well and, thanks to the staff’s thoughtful care, we enjoyed a lovely dinner. Because the overall service was so good, we also had breakfast. It was a buffet, and we were able to eat calmly at our own pace. Next time we plan to visit Kyoto Aquarium, so I would like to stay at the Miyako Hotel again. Thank you very much.

    The meals were not tasty.

    I stayed this time on a meal-included Plan. As I’m from Kyoto, I’ve used the Miyako Hotel for banquets and other events, and I also stayed there often even before the renovation. Compared with before, I think the Accommodation has improved. In the past, the cleaning was not great and it often left me disappointed, but this time everything was very well cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. One thing that bothered me was that the restroom on the first-floor front desk level was very dirty and smelled bad. Are you short-staffed for cleaning? It was disappointing because I had assumed hotel restrooms would always be clean. As for the meals: in short, they were worse. The meat was cold, and worst of all was the bread. It was hard and difficult to chew, and it felt unpleasant wondering how long it had been sitting out. You can tell a good restaurant not only by the main dish but also by its rice or bread. Many people in Kyoto love bread—I’m one of them—so this was disappointing. Next time, I would like to use it for accommodation only.

    Sounds good.

    I booked through IKYU because it was a great deal, and they upgraded my Room, so I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. The location was also convenient, which really helped even in the rain. It was cherry blossom season, so it was crowded with groups of international guests, but the Hotel staff were very courteous. My only minor complaint was that there were no bananas at the breakfast buffet and no green onions for the miso soup (lol). I was also disappointed that there wasn’t any bottled water provided in the Room. Even so, I would like to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    I’d like to drink more water.

    Although my stay was short, the upgraded Room was comfortable and very nice. The Nespresso was also great. I thought breakfast started at 7:00 a.m., and since I was leaving before 7:00 a.m. I had given up on it, but when I passed by, it seemed like it was already open. I really wanted to try it... Also, I went to get water from the dispenser, but the pitcher was small and not enough. The dispenser was far from the Room (!) and once I changed into loungewear it felt like too much trouble to go back for more... It would have been better if a larger pitcher had been provided.

    Amazing value for money—you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

    I was lucky to find an affordable Plan, and I couldn’t believe this rate was available during cherry blossom season, so I made a Reservation and stayed here. Kyoto has many new Hotels these days, and honestly, I didn’t expect much because the Miyako Hotel is an older Hotel (sorry)—but now I’d like to make it my regular place to stay in Kyoto. Despite having so many guest rooms, the attentive service and calm atmosphere are impressive. I think this comes from the long history of operating a Hotel in Japan. I was also surprised by how luxurious and delicious the dinner buffet was! It’s right near the station, and it seems perfect for families with elderly members or children. The comfort exceeded my expectations, and the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. It’s truly a wonderful Hotel.

    Great value for money

    You can choose from four breakfast venues—just that is enough to get you excited. Although it’s on the Hachijo Exit side, it’s not inconvenient and is close to To-ji Temple.

    A convenient and comfortable Hotel.

    It was a very convenient Hotel right in front of the station. Even though it was cherry blossom season and peak time, they upgraded our Room. When we went out for dinner, there were no taxis available and it was extremely crowded, so thank you to the doorman who went out to the street and called a taxi for us. One disappointing point was at checkout: when I asked them to send our luggage to the next Hotel because we had a Multiple Night Stay in Kyoto, they did not understand, and in the end we had to leave our luggage and come back to pick it up, which added extra hassle. Still, considering the location, service, and price, it is a Hotel I would like to use again.

    Everything was great.

    Amazing value for money—this says it all. Honestly, since the price was so reasonable, I only hoped for a comfortable stay. But once I arrived, it wasn’t just “fine”—it was excellent! The Room was clean, and the bathroom and toilet were spotless as well. Dinner was included in the evening, and it was absolutely delicious. It’s close to Kyoto Station, and even if it rains you can get there with hardly getting wet, so this is a Hotel I’d definitely like to stay at again. There were many international guests; it felt like there were more Western visitors than Asian ones.

    Completely satisfied

    I always stay here when I visit Kyoto. The lobby is lively and often busy, but the guest rooms are quiet and relaxing. The bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are very helpful—I’d love to stay again.

    Not great.

    - The front desk trainee was flustered, and the senior staff ignored it. As a result, we forgot the meal voucher. - The bottom of the bathtub was yellowed due to deterioration—disappointing. - There was a toilet odor in the unit bath. - At the breakfast venue, strong perfume from foreign guests filled the room and there was no ventilation, which reduced my appetite.

    This price right in front of the station!

    It was very convenient, right in front of the station. We stayed for one night, and on both days we were able to leave our luggage and enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto. The concierge and Hotel staff were very kind and helped us with various questions. The Room had been renovated and was very spacious and clean. We would like to stay again. The Japanese-style breakfast was more delicious.

    Ideal for sightseeing in Kyoto

    For sightseeing in Kyoto, four friends made a Reservation for two Rooms. We left our luggage before check-in and were able to explore with peace of mind. We mainly used the Room just to sleep, but it had a sofa and a desk, and there was enough space for our bags. We refilled water at the water dispenser in the hallway, and there was also a coffee machine that we made good use of. The location is very convenient from the station. We took a taxi from Yasaka Shrine to the Hotel, and the driver immediately knew where it was, which made us feel it’s a well-known Hotel.

    Conveniently located near the station.

    I stayed for one night with No Meals Included. Thank you for upgrading my Room. It was very convenient, as it’s close to the station. I planned to have breakfast at a café near the station, but it was crowded, so adding breakfast might be a better option. The Room was clean, and the Hotel staff were very kind. Most guests were foreigners, but everyone spoke to me with a smile and seemed very courteous. I would be happy if there were paid drinks available in the lobby like in some overseas hotels.
