    Newly renovated and refreshed!

    I’ve stayed at this Hotel several times before, and this was my first stay since the renovation after a long time—everything has improved! The Room, service, breakfast, and more all left a great impression!

    It was comfortable.

    I made a Reservation through this site at a reasonable price. The location is close to the station, making it easy to plan my itinerary. While the Hotel has a sense of history, it is thoughtfully maintained with great attention to detail, and I had a very comfortable stay. Above all, the staff were outstanding. As someone who also works in customer service, I learned a lot from their hospitality. I also thoroughly enjoyed the buffet. When I stay in Kyoto again, I would definitely like to use this Accommodation.

    The location is excellent. I’d love to stay here again.

    The limousine bus stops for Kyoto Station and Itami Airport are nearby, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The Hotel rates were reasonable, so we booked a Multiple Night Stay for two nights. Since there was availability, they upgraded us to a larger Room, which made our stay very comfortable. There was a water purifier on the floor that we could use anytime—an excellent service you don’t often find elsewhere. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was fully booked, but next time I’d like to try the Japanese breakfast. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

    Kyoto Trip

    I stayed at this Hotel again on a trip to Kyoto after a long time. The breakfast was delicious, and I was able to relax at the Hotel even after sightseeing. I’ll be back again.

    The building is old, but it was comfortable.

    As the building is a bit older, there were some cosmetic issues, such as parts of the Room wallpaper peeling. However, if you don’t mind that, it was a comfortable stay.

    It was really great.

    I chose this Hotel on a friend’s recommendation. Kyoto Station is right in front of it. I left my luggage, went out, and checked in at night. On the day I left, I checked out, left my luggage again, picked it up in the evening, and headed home. This was my second stay. The Room had been nicely updated, making for a comfortable stay at the Hotel. It turned into a wonderful trip to Kyoto. Thank you very much.

    Breakfast

    I chose this Plan because it said I could choose my breakfast, but a female staff member at the front desk insisted that my Reservation only included the buffet and that I could not choose. Since I was short on time, I went to the buffet, but I chose this place because I wanted Japanese food... Later, when I checked my Reservation Plan, it clearly stated that I could choose from three locations. I booked here so each family member could eat what they like, so this was very disappointing. The buffet had mostly frozen vegetables, and the bread wasn’t good either. Considering you charge a full price for it, wouldn’t it be better to put a bit more effort into improving it?

    First stay after the renovation

    Although it was renovated a few years ago, it now has a Japanese-modern style with a touch of Scandinavian design. There also seem to be more international Hotel staff now. They upgraded our Room, and when we had a Wi‑Fi issue, they handled it promptly. I feel the calm, refined service typical of Miyako Hotel remains unchanged. Instead of bottled water, they have switched to an eco-friendly system where you fill the provided pitcher with water, which didn’t bother me (those who drink a lot may need a larger pitcher). The coffee machine can also make espresso, which I appreciated. For those who prefer tea or green tea, slightly larger cups would be better—so I’d just ask for them if needed.

    Throughout your stay, you could hear the sound of running water in the Room.

    I stayed for two nights, and throughout my stay I could hear the sound of running water inside the Room. (It seemed to come from the wall/pillar near the window. I could see a drainpipe outside the window, so perhaps it was drainage noise?) At first, I thought someone might be using a shower somewhere, but it was the same late at night and early in the morning. It bothered me and made it hard to fall asleep. Considering the low price for a location right by Kyoto Station, I wondered if I had been assigned a problematic Room. If this were clearly stated as an “affordable Plan with some drawbacks” and I had agreed when making my Reservation, that would be fine. However, I don’t want to use a Hotel that assigns a Room in this condition without any information. (Since the noise continued for both nights, it seems like an equipment issue. I assume the Hotel knew about this Room’s noise situation and still accommodated guests there.) In hindsight, I should have asked the Hotel to check. But when I noticed it on the first night, I thought it might be related to showers being used elsewhere, so I ended up staying without confirming with them. Other points that concerned me: - On day 2, I requested Room cleaning, but the Nespresso machine was not cleaned properly (the water tank had not been cleaned). - There was no space in the unit bathroom to place clothes; I had no choice but to put them on top of the toilet lid. (Staying in a twin room with family, changing in front of others in the bedroom is not realistic.) Good points: - Close to Kyoto Station (Hachijo Exit) - The Room is fairly spacious (Regular Twin: 26 m²) - The front desk staff handled check-in quickly with a friendly smile

    Error Description

    It was my first overnight stay at a Hotel in a while. I tried to check in using the machine, but it showed an error. I was worried because my Reservation should have been confirmed, yet it still failed. However, I only received an apology and no explanation of why the error occurred. I wish they had understood how anxious this made me. My Room was on a corner, but the sound of running water (maybe from a shower?) was loud, and I couldn’t sleep well. It ended up being a slightly disappointing night.

    Done for the next stay as well.

    Thank you for hosting us for three nights. This was our first stay, and we appreciated the upgrade—it made our stay very comfortable. The location was excellent, the Room was well cleaned, and the bathtub was spacious enough to relax in. We have made a Reservation for July and look forward to staying with you again.

    Safe and secure, just a short walk from the station.

    I’m a returning guest. Last time, check-in took quite a while, but this time the self check-in system made it very smooth—I don’t think it even took a minute. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. It’s also very convenient thanks to its proximity to the station. The American breakfast was the perfect way to start the day, and I was very satisfied.

    Rondo Set Meal

    Because it is close to Hachijoguchi Station, they stored our luggage from arrival until departure. There was no view from the Room window, but our Room was upgraded, so it was spacious and comfortable. The Rondo set dinner was delicious, with beef, sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), dengaku tofu, and more. We also appreciated the staff’s thoughtful hospitality. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was very good.

    Extremely convenient...

    Extremely convenient right in front of the station. I also stayed at the end of February this year in a twin room in the South Wing. This time, I stayed in a single room in the Main Building. Both were consistently good. It would be even better if there were a microwave somewhere inside the Hotel as well.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    My annual trip to Kyoto—this was my 18th visit, and it was my first time staying here. I used to think the Hotel inside the station was the best, but this one is only about a 2-minute walk farther, and with an AEON Mall nearby, it’s perfect for shopping and convenience. The staff were very kind and attentive. The luggage storage service before check-in and after check-out was truly appreciated. I would love to stay here again next year.

    Silver Travel

    Two couples in our 70s visited Kyoto for a small “food-walk” adventure. The Hotel was in a great location, perfect for sightseeing and shopping for souvenirs. We enjoyed meals at the Hotel both morning and night. Dinner was a Japanese-Western mix, with well-balanced portions and very tasty. For breakfast, we could choose Japanese, Western, or buffet-style options, which was great. However, for seniors like us, it would have been even better if there had been a bathhouse (even a small one). Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and would love to visit again.

    Just across the traf...

    Just across the traffic lights from Kyoto Station—there’s no better Hotel location than this. There are two buildings; perhaps they separate group guests (international guests?) from individual guests. I stayed in the building for individual guests, and it was so quiet and relaxing that it hardly felt like being right in front of Kyoto Station. Even in the Room, there was absolutely no noise from outside (other Rooms), including the common sounds of buses or plumbing/drainage when bathrooms are used. Check-out can be completed at a self-service machine (I’m not sure how it works, but it seems usable for check-in as well), so there was no crowding or stress at all. Staff were stationed by the machines to assist anyone unfamiliar with the process, and they appeared to be there at all times. I’ve stayed here a few times in the past (perhaps over 20 years ago), and my impression has improved significantly. I’d like to stay again.

    I was able to relax, but the noise was bothersome.

    It was clearly stated that staff would not enter the Room unless cleaning was requested, so I could relax without the hassle of packing my belongings back into my suitcase each day for a three-night stay. The location is convenient and close to the station, so I would like to stay here again. However, perhaps because the walls are thin or sound carries easily, noises from the neighboring Room and loud door-opening/closing sounds from nearby Rooms were noticeable. I was also concerned about dust on the carpet around the Room furniture, but overall it was well cleaned and comfortable to stay in.

    I used this accommodation as a base for visiting temples.

    The location was excellent—after arriving by Shinkansen, I was able to leave my luggage right away and head out to visit temples unencumbered. I had breakfast at the Japanese restaurant, and I was very happy to enjoy a calm, relaxing meal. They also stored my luggage after checkout, which was a huge help since I didn’t need to use the lockers near the station. I would love to stay here again.

    It was great.

    The exterior felt a bit dated, but once inside I didn’t notice it at all. The Room was clean and quiet. Check-in and check-out were done via a machine, and there were no issues. The staff who stored our luggage and guided us in the elevator hall were impeccable in both their language and hospitality, making our stay very comfortable. One minor downside might be having four different breakfast venues to choose from—it’s hard to decide (lol). The location is great, and I’d like to stay here again.

    Whenever I visit Kyoto, I always stay here. It’s close to the station and very convenient. The property is clean, and I had a very comfortable stay! I had the Japanese breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious.

    Comfortable, friendly, and exceptionally convenient.

    On a holiday weekend with heavy rain, it was truly appreciated that the hotel is right in front of Kyoto Station (just across the road). There were also many restaurants nearby. It was also very helpful that I could borrow nail clippers at the front desk after forgetting mine. The Room was clean and flawless. Check-in and check-out were smooth with the self-service machines. What impressed me most was having a water dispenser for the coffee machine in the guestroom corridor, so I could enjoy delicious coffee in my Room. I would like to stay again.

    My family and I stayed in the Deluxe Family Room. The Room was spacious and comfortable. We would like to stay here again when we visit Kyoto.

    The breakfast is delicious.

    The Japanese-style breakfast was very delicious. In particular, the “Bijin Tofu” was excellent—the broth and the tofu were both delicious.

    I stayed for two nights.

    This was my first stay. It felt like there were many inbound tour groups, and several arrived by bus. With so many guest rooms, I think it’s well suited for groups. I stayed in a room in the South Wing, a relatively new building. The Facility seemed a bit dated, but the Room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, facing the courtyard. The bathroom was a unit bath, but the bathtub felt somewhat small. For check-in there were both staffed counters and self-service machines, which seemed to help reduce congestion. There was also a doorman wearing a traditional hat, which added to the atmosphere. It’s conveniently located close to the station, so I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Conveniently located near the station, I had a comfortable and worry-free stay.

    Both check-in and check-out were easy and convenient with the self-service machines. We also received a complimentary upgrade and stayed in a Room with a Nespresso machine. It’s close to Kyoto Station, which made moving our luggage much easier. I’d like to stay again.

    Stay for a memorial service

    I stayed on the Monday before a long holiday and had a comfortable stay at a reasonable rate. The parking lot was spacious and flat, with in-and-out access, and JPY 2,000 per day was good value for such a convenient location near the station. It seemed that most guests were inbound international travelers, but it wasn’t noisy, and I was able to sleep well in peace. I would like to stay again.
