    Thank you very much.

    It was my first stay in years, and I was very satisfied. Despite the late check-in and early check-out, I received prompt and courteous assistance. There were no issues with the room's equipment, including the bed and amenities. Although it was a short stay with my child, I was delighted that they enjoyed the time spent. I will visit again!

    Directly connected to Makuhari Messe via a covered walkway.

    I stayed here the night before attending an exhibition at Makuhari Messe. The Room was very spacious, about 2 to 3 times larger than a typical Business Hotel. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. The next day, although it was drizzling, I could move around without needing an umbrella thanks to the covered walkway. Upon arriving at Makuhari Messe, there is a smoking area on the right side just before the entrance.

    The Room was clean and spacious, and it had a bathtub in addition to the shower room. The bed was comfortable, allowing me to relax and recover from the day's fatigue. Thank you very much.

    Historic Hotel

    Stayed for 2 nights on a mother-child trip with two elementary school children. The younger child was eligible for Child Sharing Existing Bedding, so we were able to stay in a Moderate Twin room at a reasonable price. The room was spacious, and it was nice that the bathroom area and living space were separate. There were plenty of drawers, which was very convenient. The bathroom facilities felt outdated, and when turning on the hot water in the sink, there was a loud metallic noise that startled us. Once it happened, it didn’t occur again during use, but it did happen again on the second day—seems like this sound occurs at the start of use. Additionally, the hairdryer provided seemed quite cheap and outdated. Carrying both a hairdryer and hair iron adds to luggage weight; I hope this can be upgraded. There were many restaurants nearby, so we didn’t dine within the Hotel this time. However, next time when my husband joins us, we’d like to try dining at the Hotel’s restaurant. It was convenient to buy bread in the lobby and ice cream or rice balls from vending machines on the second floor. Although there are some concerns about the bathroom facilities, everything else made our stay comfortable enough that we’d like to return again!

    There is no value in paying to stay here.

    Stayed for 2 nights. Upon arrival, about five hotel staff in suits were standing idly in the lobby. One guided me, but the others neither greeted me nor moved aside as I passed by. Basic courtesy of walking on the side was lacking. I also noticed many instances of staff turning their backs to guests and chatting with each other. The front desk staff (a young woman) had a very poor attitude, not suitable for dealing with guests. Even though I was right in front of her, she continued chatting with another employee behind the counter before starting my check-in process without even saying "Excuse me." This level of service is below that of a Business Hotel—though such a comparison might be unfair to Business Hotels. The customer service was extremely poor and unpleasant. It's not about being overly polite; it's about showing attention and respect to guests. The breakfast buffet had many dishes that were dry and unappetizing, especially the fresh vegetables. It seemed they weren't replenished promptly as they ran out but rather left until noticeably diminished before being refilled. There was also someone standing in the restaurant taking notes on how much food remained—a practice that felt intrusive given how small the space was. Perhaps adopting a system where this information is communicated via earpieces directly to kitchen staff would be more efficient, as seen at other hotels. Room cleaning was inadequate; despite having short hair myself, I found several long hairs on the bathroom floor. There’s more to say, but I'll stop here for now. While I can tolerate issues like food quality or cleaning standards to some extent, rude customer service is unacceptable. Why should anyone pay money only to be treated disrespectfully? The cost for 2 nights: approximately 80,000 yen. It wasn’t worth paying this amount for such an experience at this accommodation.

    Even though it's New Otani...

    The building and Facility have a historical charm, but everything was clean, and the hospitality was excellent. The view from the window, the sushi dinner, and the breakfast buffet were all very enjoyable and delicious. However, on my way out of the parking lot to the main road, I was suddenly stopped by a Hotel staff member who appeared in front of my car. After stopping, I was instructed to let a van parked at the back entrance of the Hotel exit first. It seemed like someone familiar with the staff as they exchanged friendly bows before letting them go ahead. I was surprised to be stopped like that; even when I looked at the staff for an explanation, they only gave me an unfriendly hand signal to proceed afterward. Was it really necessary during a busy morning to stop a moving car just so another parked vehicle could leave first? There were no other cars around; if I had gone first, it wouldn’t have caused any significant delay for anyone else. Although it’s a minor issue, such incidents make me hesitant about visiting places like Tokyo's New Otani again in the future. This kind of inexplicable favoritism left me disappointed because everything else had been great until then—especially since this came from what seemed like an experienced senior staff member—it made it all more surprising and disheartening.

    I stay at this accommodation every year during this season. The hotel is wonderful, and the meals are excellent, but breakfast was crowded, and I had to wait in line. I look forward to staying here again next year.

    Hotel Convenient for Events

    I stayed here for an event at Marine Stadium. The location was very convenient, within walking distance from both the station and the stadium. I stayed in a standard Room, which was spacious and well-equipped. However, the bathroom facilities felt slightly outdated, and I was concerned about the quality of the hairdryer. There is a restaurant called SATSUKI on the lobby floor, and Room service is also available, so meals were not an issue. I had requested a paid early check-in in advance, but it seemed this information had not been communicated to the front desk as I was asked to wait until regular check-in time. After explaining that it had been confirmed over the phone, they accommodated my request; however, since my Room wasn’t ready yet, I waited at reception before being shown to my Room. As there seemed to be a wait for porters as well, I carried my luggage myself. While these are minor issues, a smooth check-in process is crucial as it sets the tone for one’s stay—first impressions matter greatly!

    As mentioned in the reviews, the building was old, but the hospitality was excellent. The view from the window and the breakfast buffet made for a very enjoyable stay. I had high expectations for the large public bath, but unfortunately, it was only available until 8 PM and closed the next day, so I couldn't use it. That was my only disappointment. (The water pressure in the shower in my room was weak as noted in reviews, so I wanted to use the public bath. However, due to my schedule, I couldn't make it within operating hours.) I appreciated that they stored my luggage before check-in and quickly located an item I had forgotten. It was very helpful. I would love to stay again when I have more time to relax!

    The bed is of an older standard, and the mattress is softer than what is typical nowadays. For those arriving by motorcycle, please note that the motorcycle parking area is located farther away, with no clear signage and faded markings that are difficult to identify. It may be especially challenging to locate at night.

    For events at Makuhari Messe

    This was my first time using your service for an event. I arrived earlier than the scheduled check-in time of 3 PM and asked if early check-in was possible when leaving my luggage. Although the reserved room was not yet cleaned, I was kindly allowed to check into another room. Since I was sweating, I could change clothes in the room and have a light meal, which allowed me to attend the event feeling refreshed and grateful. The front desk staff and other team members were very pleasant, making my stay comfortable throughout. I truly felt your spirit of hospitality. While I've visited Tokyo several times for lunch, I'll definitely choose to stay here again when visiting Makuhari. Thank you very much!

    You can truly feel the rich history.

    As a renowned Japanese Hotel, the service and front desk assistance were excellent. In these times, I am grateful to have enjoyed a relatively affordable and elegant stay. However, perhaps due to the age of the building, I did notice some outdated aspects in the bathroom facilities. There was an issue with the shower, but it was promptly addressed, allowing me to enjoy a comfortable stay afterward. I would love to visit again. In these challenging times, I sincerely hope such Hotels continue to thrive. Thank you very much!

    I always come back here for my trips to support my favorite activities.

    I stayed at the accommodation due to an event at Makuhari Messe. The room was spacious and comfortable despite its age. I initially planned to visit the night pool on the day of my stay, but due to bad weather, I decided to go on the checkout day instead. However, choosing a morning time slot was tricky as checkout is at 12:00 and the pool closes at 12:30. Opting for an afternoon slot starting from 13:30 also felt inconvenient after checkout. I asked if it was possible to extend checkout by just one hour, but they rigidly stated that it wasn’t possible because the next booking was already scheduled—even though there were vacant rooms available. Having stayed here several times before, I’ve noticed that front desk service is always mechanical and inflexible, leaving me with an impression of a hotel that operates strictly by rules without accommodating guests' needs. That said, this time I used Shell Pool for the first time and found staff there very kind and attentive. The restaurant meals were also delicious and highly satisfying! While I don’t feel inclined to revisit this hotel unless necessary due to limited options in the area, I would definitely return for another enjoyable experience at their pool!

    Cannot deny its age.

    This was my first stay at this accommodation. The staff were kind and helpful. Despite a machine malfunction during check-in, they manually confirmed the accommodation details with great care and kindness. The room shows its age, with furniture and wallpaper feeling dated, especially around the bathroom area. However, it was cleaned thoroughly. Please note that you cannot charge devices with just a USB cable; you will need an adapter for the outlet as well. Also, there were no skincare products like lotion or makeup remover provided. You can reach Makuhari Messe without getting wet in bad weather, which is convenient. Breakfast was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the pastries from Satsuki. Considering the price, it might feel slightly more expensive compared to newer chain accommodations nearby. However, it’s quiet here and the staff are very kind—so if I visit Makuhari again, I would choose to stay here again!

    It was a highly satisfying Hotel.

    I booked a plan that includes accommodation and access to the night pool. The night pool had an exotic atmosphere and was very enjoyable. The room was also clean and comfortable to stay in. The shower in the bathroom was a bit tricky to use, but overall, I was highly satisfied and would love to come back again next year.

    Omelette for Breakfast

    Check-in after 5 PM on Sunday, Room Assignment Plan. Enjoy an affordable stay. I made a reservation for Hotel New Otani Makuhari via email two weeks in advance. I had always wanted to stay at New Otani, so it was a spontaneous decision. The staff were calm and attentive without being intrusive, making the experience completely pleasant. Breakfast was served in a relaxed atmosphere and was, of course, absolutely delicious. The freshly made omelets allowed you to choose your ingredients and were fluffy and perfect! The chef's warm smile made the experience even better—I'm so glad I asked for one! My husband mentioned how convenient the hotel’s airport-bound express bus service was. I look forward to staying at New Otani hotels again in the future. Thank you for making it such a wonderful summer vacation!

    I used the accommoda...

    I used the accommodation for its outdoor pool. The pool was neither too large nor too small, just the right size, but I didn’t feel much advantage as a guest. Additionally, I left something behind in the room and only managed to retrieve it because I noticed it myself. Considering that guests can be identified, I felt there should have been a notification when the item was found. It made me wonder if it would have been discarded had I not contacted them, which left me with some distrust. Lastly, the cost of breakfast for infants and meals by the pool was excessively high, making it feel like a waste despite managing to keep accommodation costs low. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

    While getting ready ...

    While getting ready in the morning, I noticed a large huntsman spider near the sink. I tried to deal with it, but it escaped into a gap. Just then, housekeeping rang the doorbell. Since I was planning to stay another night, I asked them to clean after I finished getting ready and mentioned the spider, requesting they handle it if found during cleaning. When I returned to my Room that evening, there was a very polite note informing me that insecticide and disinfection had been carried out. At checkout, they also apologized for the incident with great courtesy—I was impressed by their excellent service. Although surprised by the spider's appearance, their thoughtful response ensured my experience remained pleasant. It's understandable that such things happen. Given it's an older Hotel, some things are inevitable; however, it would have been nice if basic skincare items like lotion and moisturizer were provided as is common in many Business Hotels. Also, having separate bath and toilet facilities would be appreciated!

    Visited after a year. The keys have been changed to card keys. While it's convenient to carry, I do miss the traditional key type. The pool area, including the lockers and poolside, is always clean and enjoyable every year. The highlight of this stay was breakfast at Daikan-en and Satsuki. First, Daikan-en: It was a rare treat to have breakfast at such an elegant restaurant that usually doesn’t serve in the morning. The ambiance was perfect, and the congee served for breakfast was delicious, allowing for a relaxing time. Next, Satsuki: A few years ago, there used to be long lines for scrambled eggs here. This time at the live kitchen where they make omelets upon request, I asked for scrambled eggs instead—and they kindly made it with cheese and ham! It may seem like a small gesture, but this level of service truly reflects why Satsuki remains so popular.

    I stayed here for an event. Although I occasionally returned to the Room due to the event's schedule, the cleaning was adjusted accordingly, allowing for a stress-free stay. Unfortunately, I couldn't use other Facilities as much as I had hoped, but after checking out, I used the restaurant despite being tired and may have caused some confusion with my requests—my apologies for that.     Indulge in Luxury

    It was my first time staying in Makuhari. The location is convenient, being close to both the station and Makuhari Messe. The building and room felt a bit old, but they seemed well-maintained. The reserved room was kindly upgraded for us. On the second night, there was an issue with the room, but it was addressed even late at night. The breakfast on the second morning was changed to room service (additional cost: 2,300 yen). I enjoyed having an American breakfast leisurely in the room. However, I found the meal slightly disappointing as it differed significantly from what I had seen on the website or Hotel commercials.

    I had a wonderful holiday with excellent service.

    We stayed at the accommodation with our family during summer vacation. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and provided attentive service. Since my son has food allergies to nuts and other ingredients, we informed them in advance, and they prepared a paper with all relevant ingredients underlined in red for each dish. This allowed us to enjoy our meals with peace of mind. Thanks to their first-class service, our family had a truly satisfying holiday. Thank you very much!

    Guests can access the gym, pool, and bath for a small fee. The gym and pool offer 30-minute lessons that are free to join. Additionally, private dining is available, making the experience very fulfilling. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, but the selection of bread was somewhat lacking. Considering the luxurious bread sold on-site, it would be great if the quality could be improved further.

    Room service, breakfast, and the overall hospitality were excellent, making my stay very relaxing. Thank you so much. However, I noticed some inconsistency in service quality. When I asked if it was possible to call a taxi, a suited staff member who seemed to be in a leadership position responded with an unpleasant expression and mentioned that everyone uses apps nowadays. This was disappointing. That said, the other staff members were wonderful, which made my experience enjoyable overall. I hope for better teamwork among the staff in the future.

    Room service curry is delicious!

    The staff were very accommodating to our requests, even when we made some unreasonable ones, and the person who helped carry our luggage was extremely polite. The service was excellent. Since it was late at night, we ordered beef curry through room service for dinner, and it was absolutely delicious! As expected from a Hotel's curry. We usually visit the restaurant with family, but this time the Accommodation experience was also very satisfying.
