    Wedding Anniversary

    We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a great impression from our previous stay, so we decided to stay again this time. They upgraded our Room, and the service was attentive and excellent. When we visit Hiroshima again, we would like to stay here. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, was delicious, and left us completely satisfied. The service was wonderful—an outstanding Hotel.

    Once considered the top choice in Hiroshima, but that is now a thing of the past. The property feels clearly outdated. Even after 30 years, there seems to be no intention to make improvements. The Room amenities are worn out and in poor condition. With Sheraton Hiroshima and Hilton Hiroshima nearby, is there no sense of urgency? Are you relying too much on the advantage of the location? Other 30-year-old Hotels—such as The Westin Osaka, Hilton Osaka, and Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel—feel much cleaner and better maintained. Simply put: negligence.

    A well-located Hotel with excellent value for money

    Directly connected to the bus terminal and close to tourist spots and downtown, it was very convenient. From the Room, we could see the Atomic Bomb Dome and Hiroshima Castle, making this a wonderful Hotel where you can truly feel Hiroshima. It felt very luxurious for the price, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely stay again!

    The hospitality was excellent.

    I attended the GLENMORANGIE spirits event held at RIHGA Top and stayed overnight. Unlike many modern city Hotels, the guidance to my Room and the service at the breakfast venue felt like the warm hospitality of a Ryokan or Resort Hotel, making my stay very comfortable. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    The view is amazing.

    I stayed in a Junior Suite, and the view was amazing. Unfortunately, the bathroom’s hot water temperature control was old-fashioned and difficult to adjust, and the water pressure was weak. I also assumed that drinks in the in-room refrigerator would be complimentary for a room priced around 100,000 yen, but they were charged separately. That said, I was glad to be able to enjoy such a wonderful night view.

    Whenever I’m on a business trip to Hiroshima, I always stay here. The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail is truly impressive. I’m a non-smoker, but on a previous stay I couldn’t secure a non-smoking Room and stayed in a smoking Room. This time I made a Reservation for a non-smoking Room, and after checking my past stay history, the front desk kindly changed it to a smoking Room for me. Because I didn’t confirm the check-in details carefully enough, I ended up asking to switch back from the smoking Room to the non-smoking Room, and I feel very sorry that my mistake wasted their kindness. Even though this was partly my fault, they still guided me to a wonderful Room, and I can’t thank them enough. Although I was here for work, I was able to relax. It truly felt like first-class Hotel service. I will stay here again—also as an opportunity to learn from their hospitality. Thank you very much.

    A great Hotel for sightseeing in Hiroshima City.

    I think this is a good Hotel for sightseeing in Hiroshima City. It is located in the city center, within walking distance not only of major attractions but also shopping streets and department stores. It is also conveniently about 15 minutes from Hiroshima Station by streetcar. The front desk and restaurant staff were professional and pleasant. If I had to mention one drawback, the Hotel and its Facility feel a bit old (perhaps it’s about time for a renovation?). As an aside, I received free tickets to the Hiroshima Museum of Art next door and decided to visit; the collection was well worth seeing and turned out to be an unexpected pleasure.

    The location is great.

    I took the streetcar from Hiroshima Station, but since it’s a high-rise building, it was hard to see behind the department store and I ended up taking a detour. The Hotel felt a bit old, but it was comfortable. I had breakfast on the top floor, but the dessert was sour and just average.

    The location was very convenient for sightseeing and getting around.

    Since I visited on the first workday of the year, the Hotel lobby was lively with locals starting work, dining, and meeting up. It’s an old but large and impressive Hotel. It was a smoking Room, but since the windows don’t open, it’s best to keep the air purifier running all the time. I was on a high floor and could enjoy the view, which was nice. There’s an airport limousine bus stop, a streetcar station, and even a supermarket under Sogo nearby, so sightseeing, shopping, and getting around on foot were all smooth. At check-in you can get bottled water at one end of the front desk (none in the Room), but I felt one bottle per person wasn’t enough.

    The location and facilities are good, but the parking fee is expensive.

    This was my first stay over the New Year holiday. The location is excellent and ideal as a base for sightseeing. The health club was also very clean, including both the pool and sauna, and I enjoyed using it. However, the parking fee structure is unreasonable. JPY 3,000 per night is even higher than some Hotels in Tokyo. Moreover, despite the IKYU Diamond benefits (check-in at 14:00 and check-out at 12:00), when I entered the parking around 13:30 and exited after 11:00, I had to pay JPY 3,000 at the Hotel plus an additional JPY 500 when settling the parking fee. It’s not a big amount, but it’s inconvenient and left me with a very unpleasant feeling. I understand that with such a great location it may be difficult to offer more flexible parking terms, but with Diamond benefits they should at least make parking free for roughly the duration of the stay, or at minimum ensure that if you pay JPY 3,000 at the Hotel, no additional payment is required. I strongly request improvement on this point.

    This is true hospitality.

    During the holiday season, after dinner they delivered a whole Christmas cake to our Room along with coffee. They also coordinated everything thoroughly in advance, and my girlfriend was very happy. Some Hotels might require you to pick it up at the designated shop and bring it back to your Room yourself. I felt this surprise service for a special day truly reflects the hospitality of RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima. Thank you very much.

    Absolutely wonderful.

    This was my first stay. From our communication before the stay through checkout, everything was very smooth and courteous. For breakfast, you can choose between the buffet at Luorei on the 1st floor or a Japanese set meal at Rijyo on the 6th floor, and I chose Rijyo. The fresh sashimi and Hiroshima specialties were delicious. It’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    Convenient for sightseeing

    The location is excellent, with Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Memorial Park within walking distance. It was also convenient for taking the airport bus. The room feels a bit dated, but the view was great and both the shower water pressure and drainage were good, so I have no complaints. We had the breakfast buffet, and the omelet was especially delicious.

    Elegant and refined

    It was a Hotel that felt truly upscale, from the lobby and elevators to the spacious Room. The view from the Room was also excellent, and the night scenery overlooking Hiroshima Castle felt refreshing since there were no tall buildings around. The location is right in the city center and very convenient. If I stay in Hiroshima again, this is my choice.

    A Cozy, Centrally Located Hotel

    It was a relaxing Hotel. However, it was disappointing that the bathroom sink faucet in this Room did not shut properly and the bidet nozzle did not extend. Other than that, I was satisfied. I would like to stay again.

    We stayed here for my husband’s birthday trip. We were told we couldn’t choose the Room, but they kindly gave us one with a view of Hiroshima Castle just as we hoped. We could also see our favorite Sanfrecce stadium, and my husband was thrilled. The bath and toilet are not separate, but it was spacious and easy to use. The building is old, but it was very clean and well maintained. It was a shame that we couldn’t use the meals or the large public bath this time. The location is convenient, close to central Hiroshima, and we would like to stay here again when we visit Hiroshima. Thank you very much.

    We are very disappointed that the Japanese set breakfast is no longer available for Executive Floor guests.

    This is my regular Accommodation when I’m on business in Hiroshima, and I stay here about once every two months. Each time, I book the Executive Floor mainly for the Executive Floor–exclusive Japanese set breakfast, but I was told that the Japanese set breakfast has been discontinued starting this month. Very disappointing. Even the Western option comes with only a single croissant. As for Japanese food, it seems only the first-floor buffet is available, but I feel the menu and quality are different. Even if the price increases, I strongly hope the Japanese set breakfast will be reinstated. Also, I do not use in-room check-in each time.

    The on-site restaurant is highly recommended.

    The hotel is in an excellent location, with direct access to the station and bus terminal, shopping facilities, museums, and more. The Atomic Bomb Dome is also within walking distance. However, I wish there were a better system than having guests line up for check-in. The bottled water service was also a bit disappointing. Despite being in a major tourist area, the concierge desk was almost always unattended, so I couldn’t use it. The IKYU perk was a gym pass as well, but I didn’t have a chance to use it either.

    For your trip to Hiroshima

    I stayed here to visit my brother and his wife and my cousin who live in Hiroshima City. I traveled to Hiroshima with my parents and we stayed in two Rooms. Breakfast was served at the restaurant on the 33rd floor, and it was great to enjoy the meal with such a wonderful view. However, I was a little disappointed because I had expected a higher-quality selection of food. Check-in for our Room was very smooth with little waiting time, which I really appreciated. When I arranged to have our luggage shipped home on departure, the cloakroom staff member who assisted us was extremely kind, and I truly felt their high level of hospitality.
