    The breakfast is very delicious. Omelets, croissants, and soft serve ice cream. The Hotel and Room are very clean. The staff are very kind and always smiling. Great access to transportation. A bus to Chitose Airport departs from the Hotel. Walking distance to the Red Brick Government Building for a post-meal stroll. A must-stay Hotel when visiting Sapporo!

    The Room was spacious enough, and the bathroom and toilet were separate, making it very convenient. The bed and pillows were comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep. As expected from a long-established Hotel! For dinner, I had salmon roe rice bowl, and for breakfast, I chose Western-style cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed the specialties of Hokkaido! I'll visit again!

    This is the place to stay in Sapporo!

    The staff are attentive and provide service with care. The Hotel exudes a sense of tradition and elegance. During my 3-night stay, I enjoyed both Japanese-style breakfast and buffet-style breakfast. Both were very delicious, and it was the most balanced meal with plenty of vegetables during my trip. The underground access from the station means no worries about rain, and it's also convenient to visit places like Odori Park from the Hotel—absolutely perfect!

    This was my first time using it.

    A 10-minute straight walk from Sapporo Station, or accessible via an underground passage to avoid the rain. The staff were very kind and attentive. Room amenities cover the basics, though items like cotton swabs and mouthwash could be considered in the future. The showerhead offers adjustable settings with sufficient water pressure. The bathtub is a unique circular bubble bath but quite high, making it challenging to step into—some improvement might be needed here. Bath towels felt slightly worn out; replacing them with newer, softer ones would enhance comfort. The buffet-style breakfast includes a wide variety of both Western and Japanese dishes, with a live omelet station offering freshly made options right in front of you. Overall, this is a Hotel I would like to stay at again. Thank you!

    Golden Week Multiple Night Stay

    Thank you for taking care of us during our Multiple Night Stay. The Room was cleaned properly every day while we were out sightseeing, and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much. However, regarding the Facility, it would have been nice to have a footlight. Also, since the hallway leading to the Room is an indoor corridor, it might be better if it had the same fragrance as the first floor. We look forward to staying with you again on our next trip to Hokkaido.

    The bed is firm.

    The room was spacious and comfortable, making our stay very pleasant. However, the bed was too hard, which caused back and waist pain for us as elderly guests, leaving us sore in the morning.     High level of customer service.

    The hotel itself is old, so it doesn't feel new. I stayed in a spacious room, but being large doesn't necessarily mean it was particularly well-maintained or clean. This hotel does not have a large public bath. Since I wanted to soak in the bathtub in the room, I chose a room with a separate bath and toilet for an additional cost. The cleanliness was satisfactory. Being directly connected to the underground is also an advantage. I made a phone call during the reservation process to change dates, and the staff's response over the phone was excellent. It made me feel glad about choosing this accommodation even before my stay. Both the front desk staff and porters were very courteous, making my stay pleasant. If I have another opportunity, I would choose this accommodation again.

    Comfortable service typical of a classic Hotel

    For our first trip to Sapporo, we stayed for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. After considering various accommodations in the city, we chose Sapporo Grand Hotel because of its reputation for the reliable and classic hospitality we appreciate. Our stay exceeded expectations as every staff member provided warm and reassuring service, making it a very pleasant three-day experience. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, featuring a wide variety of Hokkaido-inspired Japanese and Western dishes with excellent quality that left us highly satisfied.     I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed for a 2-night Multiple Night Stay. Although I used a pre-renovation Room, it was clean and comfortable. There were multiple dining options and well-stocked shops. The underground access from Sapporo Station was convenient, making it easy to reach central areas like Susukino. All staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, provided excellent hospitality, making my stay pleasant. I would love to visit again.

    We stayed as a family during the Snow Festival.

    This is a long-established hotel in Sapporo City, with nearly 100 years of history. It is conveniently located between Sapporo Station and Odori Park, with an underground passage available. Although I had used the facilities before, this was my first time staying overnight. Due to the Snow Festival period, the room charge was quite high, but that's understandable during such times. As expected from a hotel that has hosted international VIPs like Prime Minister Thatcher, the service was excellent. They responded promptly and appropriately to various requests, and there were moments when it seemed like decisions were entrusted to each staff member's judgment. There were many foreign guests as well, but they managed everything smoothly. We also dined at the Japanese restaurant for dinner; they served our small child's meal first and interacted well with us. The property has three buildings; we stayed in the newest annex this time which showed some signs of age but did not cause any inconvenience at all. Breakfast offered multiple venues with a buffet that ensured you wouldn't get bored even during a Multiple Night Stay.

    Disappointing

    I was shocked when I arrived for the 3 PM check-in only to find out that the cleaning was not finished, and I couldn't enter yet. The aging of the facilities is undeniable; the safe was broken and had to be fixed twice (apparently, the battery behind the door kept coming loose), and the phone was also broken, disconnecting immediately, so I had to use the phone in the elevator hall to request repairs, which was very inconvenient. There are many newer and more functional Hotels in Sapporo, so I recommend considering other options.

    I always use it.

    You can take the JR from the airport to Sapporo Station and move to the Hotel underground, so you can rest assured even if you arrive on the last flight. The breakfast is also delicious. This time, we had Chinese food for dinner. Since we were with our elderly parents, we chose à la carte. They also gave us advice on the portions, and it was helpful to enjoy delicious food with little movement within the Hotel. We will use it again. It is also appreciated that there is bottled water in the Room.

    It was my first time using the annex.

    I stayed with my brother and his wife during a trip to Sapporo at the beginning of the year. I always use this Hotel for my Sapporo trips, but this time I chose the annex for the first time. It was a good opportunity to compare it with the East Wing and Main Building, which I have used more frequently in the past. However, during this stay, I felt that the cleaning was not thorough in some areas. It was disappointing to find dust accumulated in the cloakroom and by the bedside. Other than that, I had a very comfortable stay and once again appreciated the charm of this Hotel, including the lobby atmosphere, delicious breakfast, high level of hospitality, and the convenient location directly connected to the underground walkway. Additionally, the Galette des Rois I purchased on the way back was very delicious and I was extremely satisfied. I would like to use this Hotel again for my next trip to Sapporo.     This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. This time, I chose the special floor on the 4th floor of the main building. The service was excellent, as expected from a long-established Hotel, and I was impressed with the punctual room service. One disappointing point was that due to the age of the building, I could hear noises from the hallway and the sound of water flowing from the upper floors. The amenities were satisfactory in both quality and quantity. The location is also excellent. I look forward to a complete renovation or rebuilding in the future.

    Check-in at the long-established Hotel?

    I was not feeling well, so I canceled the Furano Ski Hotel reservation and made a reservation urgently. Upon entering the room, which was supposedly cleaned and disinfected, I found long hair, probably from a previous guest, on the back of the slippers, which was unpleasant. I complained to the front desk about why there was hair despite the room being cleaned and disinfected. I thought there was a lack of post-cleaning inspection. It was disappointing that the charm of the long-established hotel was not demonstrated.
