    The Luminarie was beautifully visible.

    I booked this Property as part of the Luminarie event being held at Meriken Park. When I requested a Room with a view of the Luminarie, they prepared a Room with an excellent view. Not only the Luminarie, but also the morning ocean view was beautiful, and I was very satisfied. Since the Room has been around for a long time, it is spacious and allows for a relaxing stay. My mother has presbyopia, so it would be nice to have a magnifying mirror for makeup in the Room. If the Rooms are ever renovated in the future, please consider this suggestion.

    My favorite Hotel

    I have been using this for about 30 years. I truly love the Japanese hospitality and atmosphere that cannot be found in foreign-owned establishments. I will probably continue to use it whenever I have the time. Thank you always for providing an exceptional Hotel life.

    Luminarie Viewing

    I stayed in a twin room on the 11th floor on the south side. The view of the Luminarie venue right in front was fantastic. The atmosphere of the Hotel was very pleasant, and the Hotel staff's service was courteous. I was able to spend a relaxing time. This Hotel is perfect for a trip in your 60s.

    Everything is old.

    All the facilities are old. I don't know about special rooms, but the general guest rooms, hotel facilities, and toilets are too old. There were no bathrobes provided in the room, and I had to ask the room attendant to bring one, which is unimaginable for a hotel where the Emperor and Empress recently stayed.

    It exceeded my expectations!

    I suddenly wanted to go to Kobe and made a reservation with a plan for one person. From the moment of check-in, I truly felt the excellence of a long-established Japanese-style hotel with their courteous service. The plan included a course dinner via room service, so I could enjoy it at my own pace without any hesitation. Although I think the content differs from the course at the restaurant, the appetizers were delicious, and the fish and meat were truly tasty. Warm bread was also served. The buffet the next morning featured many locally sourced items, offering a variety of enjoyable options. The service and hospitality were truly excellent. I live nearby, but I want to come every month for a refresh.

    I was supposed to relax during the New Year...

    I decided to stay at Okura, thinking it would be fine to enjoy a hotel stay. At first glance, the room seemed clean, but there were traces of someone's eye discharge on the TV stand, something that looked like oxidized blood in the bathtub, hair on the shower, and lipstick on the sink. Fortunately, I brought disinfectant and disposable gloves, so I cleaned everything myself. Also, as others have mentioned, even when I appeared in the lobby with heavy luggage, no one rushed over to help. They just glanced at me and continued chatting. The breakfast buffet was average, but the room service was delicious. It was disappointing, especially since I was happy with the New Year's gift of waffles.

    Very satisfied.

    We have stayed here for two consecutive years, and it was very clean with excellent views. As expected, the location is great, offering good views, with the west side being the most beautiful.

    Different from the desired Room

    I reserved a room with an ocean view, but it was a mountain-side room, which was disappointing.

    Overall, I think it is a good Hotel.

    I stayed here for the first time in about 30 years. Although it is old and doesn't have any particular features, I think it is generally a good Hotel. I only had breakfast, and both Japanese and Western dishes were delicious. Oh, I also went to the bar.

    I made a last-minute...

    I made a last-minute Reservation three days before Christmas to participate in the Christmas night event in Kobe. We were provided with a wonderful Room with a panoramic view of Kobe Harborland, which impressed my wife. The relaxed atmosphere and the thoughtfulness of the staff at the long-established Hotel in Kobe were excellent.

    Told to pay in advance.

    My companion said they would take me to Hotel Okura Kobe for a Christmas celebration, so I made a reservation on IKYU. At the front desk during check-in, I was told to pay in advance. Since my companion planned to pay at checkout the next day, I informed the front desk, but was met with silence and made to wait. In front of many other guests, I was asked to sign a pledge, which was embarrassing and hurtful. When handed the key, I was asked how I would like to be guided to the room. I wondered if I should carry my luggage myself, but when I said I would leave it to them, a staff member guided me. Upon reaching the room, there was a highway overpass right in front of the window on the mountain side, and the amenities were just a toothbrush set, razor, and comb. It was Christmas, but it was not what I had imagined, and I wanted to leave. My companion, unable to endure the treatment at the front desk, called to ask if we could be moved to a room with a better view. We were moved to the sea side on the 9th floor. I felt very unpleasant and thought being a Diamond member was meaningless.

    I stayed a few days after my birthday, and after the check-in procedure at the front desk, I was delighted to receive congratulatory words and a beautiful rose. The hotel has renovated water facilities, and the room is spacious, making it a reliable hotel. Now, with the Christmas market starting, I enjoyed the festive atmosphere of Kobe.

    I feel like there is somehow an atmosphere of the old Okura.

    We stayed with 11 people, and we could see fireworks from the room, which was an impressive night view. The room was almost at the same height as the Port Tower, so the satisfaction with the guest room was high considering the price. However, when it comes to tea or breakfast for 11 people, it is often difficult to arrange seating, and there were differences in opinions among the staff about whether it could be done or not. Some staff were aware of the 11 people, while others were not, which might be due to differences between full-time employees, temporary staff, and part-timers. However, some full-time employees didn't even give a nod of acknowledgment, which makes one wonder if that's typical of Okura. We weren't exactly walk-in guests, but there wasn't a very friendly atmosphere, which might be typical of Okura. The rebuilt building in Tokyo was quite disappointing, but in Kobe, the atmosphere remained somewhat intact, which was a relief. The French toast at breakfast was not the complete version, but it was delicious. Maintaining a certain standard while being swept by the wave of labor-saving is very difficult for a hotel, but there was a sense of inconsistency. There were both pump-type and individually packaged shampoos in the bathroom (wasteful), and at checkout, they said if there were no additional charges, just hand the key to the staff, but then they told us to go to the front desk for checkout. They asked for the room number and if there were any additional charges. Even if they can't achieve the level of labor-saving like APA, there was an inconsistent feeling about the amenities and the checkout process. It's a difficult issue. Also, I don't understand using connecting rooms for triple settings. It might have been fully booked, but it seems unnecessary to connect rooms for three people. The room set as a triple didn't seem particularly spacious. However, the quality of the extra bed was good. Lastly, I don't think Okura needs to be particular about the refrigerator anymore. There is no convenience store in the building, and I understand the reluctance to place vending machines, but the tasks of setting up the refrigerator and collecting charges are too analog and unnecessary. If the desired brand or product is not available, many people won't buy it, and if they realize that, they'll walk to a convenience store, so why expect sales from the refrigerator now? The cleanliness was good, and it was pleasant.

    I am filled with gratitude.

    I celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at this Hotel. Even though it was on the day, they kindly accepted my sudden request for a cake and brought a wonderful cake right at midnight, making it a very special birthday! I would love to stay here again next time.

    The hospitality fill...

    The hospitality filled with smiles from the staff was wonderful! The breakfast was also very satisfying! The chef's omelet, made on the spot, was fluffy, and the recommended ingredient is Awaji (Awaji) shirasu. The quality of the bread was high, and the pastries were particularly delicious. The Room was a bit disappointing as the bathroom was classic.

    I used it after the concert. Although it was a late-night check-in, I was treated politely. The Room was wonderful with a view of the Port Tower. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes, with Kobe-style menu items, and the French toast was exquisite. I would like to stay again.

    A nostalgic and tranquil Hotel

    I used it for the first time. It has an atmosphere reminiscent of the past Okura in Tokyo, giving a nostalgic and comforting impression. It's a pity that the bar on the first floor closes at 10 PM. Other than that, I am quite satisfied.

    It was my first time in Kobe. The view from the Hotel Room's window was amazing, overlooking the Port Tower and Ferris wheel. The amenities were my favorite Verbena series from L'Occitane. The Hotel's lighting also lifted my spirits. I would love to stay at this Hotel again.

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time in Kobe. I was glad to stay at a very nice Hotel. There was a shuttle bus from the station, so I didn't need to use a taxi. Also, there was a department store nearby. The view from the window was also nice. However, in one place, the faucet in the washbasin was too large compared to the bowl, and my head hit it when washing my face. I enjoyed the breakfast very much.

    It was comfortable.

    The Room felt a bit old, but it was well-cleaned, making for a pleasant stay. The original venue for breakfast was crowded, so we were guided to an upper floor, and the guidance was smooth. Breakfast included local specialties like Akashiyaki and Awaji Island onion tempura, which were delicious. On the checkout day, we were able to leave the car in the parking lot until 1 PM, so it was nice to take the shuttle bus to Sannomiya for shopping.

    It was a very good Hotel!

    This was my first time staying, and thanks to the consideration of the Hotel staff, I was guided to a larger Room than originally planned. Thanks to this, my spouse and I were able to spend a relaxing time. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious. The only disappointment was the lack of an Onsen, but I was satisfied with everything, including the Hotel staff's service, the meals, and the Room. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Relaxing Hotel

    Kobe has many wonderful hotels, and among them, the traditional landmark Hotel Okura is one of my favorite hotels where I can relax every time. Some parts of the Facility are a bit old, but the restaurant is delicious, and I always use it. The view from the Room is also good and I think it's wonderful.
