    It turned out to be a wonderful day!

    It was my birthday, and I was happy to receive a gift of flowers. The view from the Room was also very beautiful, and I was able to spend a wonderful anniversary. Thank you very much.

    High-end Hotel

    As expected of the Okura, everything is top-notch. If I had to mention one thing, the breakfast venue could feel a bit more upscale. The tables and chairs are arranged rather tightly—like an Onsen Hotel—and don’t feel particularly luxurious. The food itself is delicious.

    Thank you for your support.

    We stayed during the intense heat after the rainy season ended, but our stay was very comfortable. I always look forward to the Hotel breakfast when I stay, and this time I was especially satisfied because I could also enjoy French toast. I had to leave early due to work, so next time I’d like to take my time and enjoy it more.

    The Akashiyaki served at breakfast is not tasty.

    The location is decent. If you stay on the ocean side, the view from the Room is great. The building is undeniably old. Breakfast was reasonably satisfying. However, despite being described as “fluffy,” the Akashiyaki seemed to have too little egg and tasted like plain flour-based food, so it wasn’t good. I’d like to see this improved.

    I didn’t expect a Ho...

    I didn’t expect a Hotel not to provide bathrobes. I later learned I could request one through room service, but still… The price was low, yet it felt like staying at a Business Hotel. Disappointing.

    My stay in March was...

    My stay in March was very good, so I chose this Accommodation again this month. However, I was very disappointed this time because there were about 4–5 hairs in the Room bathtub, and although two women stayed, only one set of cosmetic amenities was provided.

    Japanese-affiliated hotels just feel like the right fit.

    Compared with the hospitality at international chain Hotels, I felt this place really highlights what Japan does well. • Service They likely have a well-crafted Japanese service manual. Staffing is difficult everywhere, but here the scripted phrasing and language were polished, which made me appreciate that Japanese attention to detail. • Cleanliness Housekeeping was thorough with no corners cut. More than simply being a new building, I think it will gain character over time by being carefully maintained and used with care. It had been a while since I last walked around inside, and I enjoyed the building itself. • Room We stayed in a spacious Room. The Family Suite (Japanese/Western-style) was very comfortable. We used room service about twice and were able to enjoy our meals comfortably. It worked well for 4 adults and 2 children (ages 3 and 1). The bathroom in the Room was also large, which made bathing the kids easy. • Dining The food was good enough, but it doesn’t have that flashy “wow” factor you sometimes get at international chain Hotels, so it wasn’t an unforgettable experience. While it was certainly tasty, I felt the price-to-value balance leaned slightly toward being expensive. We also visited the bar. I wished it had a bit more of a refined, substantial feel—it was more like a slightly upscale lounge atmosphere.

    The night view from the Room was beautiful.

    We stayed as three generations to take our grandchild to the Anpanman Museum. The breakfast venue was spacious, and our child was delighted that the kids’ tableware featured Anpanman. Thank you as well for accommodating requests such as a bed guard. The Shuttle Service from the station was also very kind. Just one issue: we used a taxi waiting in front of the Hotel, but the driver said things like the stroller might not fit when putting it in the trunk. We had informed them in advance that we were only going a very short distance (about one meter fare), but throughout the ride he remained silent, and even when we thanked him as we got out, he said nothing, seemed irritated, and drove off. We were surprised, as we have never experienced a taxi like this before.

    A Classic Hotel

    It was conveniently close to Motomachi and right next to Kobe Port Tower, with a charming atmosphere. The Room is a bit old, but that adds to its character. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious, featuring many ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture. I would like to stay here again.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    Because it is in an easy-to-find location, even taxi drivers had no trouble getting us there. It is also within walking distance of Motomachi Station, and the port is right in front, making it a great base for sightseeing. This was my second trip to Kobe, and it turned out to be a wonderful one. We were very satisfied with breakfast as well, enjoying it while taking in the pleasant view from the breakfast venue.

    Making a huge difference

    I stay here almost every year, and compared with other Hotels in the same price range, you can enjoy an experience that goes beyond expectations. As a top-class Hotel, the staff seem well prepared to handle all kinds of guests and situations. The location is relaxing, and both the Hotel Facility and the Room were comfortable; although I stayed in a standard Room, it had been renovated and felt exceptionally clean. At Camellia, I had French toast and pasta—needless to say, both the food and the staff’s service were first-class. I have stayed at other Hotels in Kobe as well, but Okura makes a huge difference!

    It was a bit disappointing.

    This is a Hotel I really love. I was excited to learn there is a manga Room and had been looking forward to it when I got the chance. I planned to relax and read during a two-night Multiple Night Stay, but as soon as I entered the Room, I was taken aback by an indescribable odor. It didn’t seem like the smell of books. It wasn’t like a library smell either. For now, I used the deodorizing spray in the Room on the carpet, sofa, and curtains. I also ran the deodorizer installed in the Room on turbo mode all day. I have stayed in various Rooms at this Hotel more than 10 times, but this was the first time an odor bothered me this much. Because I couldn’t open the window and couldn’t leave the door open either, it was difficult to ventilate. It may be difficult, but I think it would be better to open the windows and air out vacant Rooms when possible, and if you do so already (as I’m sure you do), for as long as possible. Other than that, both the breakfast buffet and room service were very satisfying, and of course so was your hospitality. I apologize if this comes across as unpleasant. I simply felt that if only the odor were improved, I would like to stay again. Thank you again.

    I had a wonderful time in Kobe.

    This was my first stay in Kobe in a while, and I had a very satisfying time thanks to the calm interior decor (Tango no Sekku) and the relaxed atmosphere. Of course, the staff were attentive and the food was delicious. The Okura name is clearly being carried on, and I would like to visit again next time.

    Hotel with a Great View

    My first time in Kobe. I stayed here with my family. This Hotel is very convenient, as you can walk to Kobe Tower and Chinatown. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the French toast and pudding were especially delicious. There were also dishes made with local milk and onions, which we really enjoyed. The staff were wonderful, especially those in training—they worked very hard and were very pleasant. I would love to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    While reflecting on Kobe’s history

    This trip was to show my relatives visiting from Hokkaido around, and it exceeded our expectations. The outstanding service quality, beautiful night views, and delicious meals were all wonderful. At the restaurant we used for dinner, you took thorough care regarding allergies, for which we are truly grateful. We were also very impressed when we bought a cake to eat in the Room and you provided plates and forks as well. Reflecting on Kobe’s strength—from Japan’s development in the Meiji era shown at Kitano Ijinkan to the path of recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake felt on the way back to the Hotel and at Kobe Port Memorial Park—this became an unforgettable trip. Thank you very much.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay in two years. Since we had a guaranteed ocean-view Room, it was great to be able to see Meriken Park, Port Tower, and the Ferris wheel. However, there were two disappointing points due to aging facilities: - The bathtub is old, and the yellowing and roughness were quite noticeable. - The toilet did not flush well. I would like to see improvements in the cleanliness of the bathroom area. Otherwise, I feel the price should be lowered. The front desk staff and cloakroom staff were very pleasant and helpful.

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights around our wedding anniversary on 3/9, and for the two of us well past 70, Hotel Okura feels calm and relaxing. Chuo Ward, Kobe is the city where my wife was born and raised, and the purpose of this trip was to take our time reminiscing about the past. From our mountain-side Room we had a panoramic view of the city; even when parts were hidden by tall buildings here and there, we were still able to enjoy the nostalgic “million-dollar night view.” For dinner, we had Chinese cuisine at one of my wife’s longtime favorite restaurants on the first night, and enjoyed Kobe beef on the second. The Hotel breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, with Kobe-style ingredients carefully prepared, and everything was delicious. It was a shame we couldn’t eat more, but both our stomachs and hearts were full. The Room had large windows that gave it an open feel, making it very comfortable. The only inconveniences were that there were no face towels, and we would have liked tissue paper in the bathroom as well. We were able to enjoy both present-day Kobe and memories of old times, making this a truly memorable trip. Thank you very much.

    I’m very sorry for arriving so late and causing you trouble. Even so, thank you very much for welcoming us so warmly. At check-in, the front desk asked if it was my birthday, and I received a red rose. My actual birthday was two days earlier, and since the purpose of our trip was our son’s event, I had completely forgotten—but it gave my husband and me one more special reason to celebrate, making this a truly memorable trip. As we stayed for two nights, we borrowed a vase during our stay and displayed it with care. However, as I couldn’t carry it with me on the last day, I reluctantly decided to leave the rose behind. I’m sorry that your thoughtful gesture went to waste. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip to Kobe. Thank you very much. The Room and hallways were spacious, and the lobby shared the same design as Hotel Okura in Tokyo. Surrounded by the reassuring atmosphere of such a long-established hotel, we were able to relax deeply. Also, at the shopping arcade, I unexpectedly found and purchased a painting by an artist I love—so I was delighted to be able to bring home a lasting memory of this trip. Just one small thing: since you kindly serve warmed French toast at the breakfast buffet, I felt it would look nicer on slightly larger plates. The current size may be convenient for those who try many items and want an easy-to-carry tray setup, but to me it made the delicious French toast look a bit less special. To be honest, I wanted to order French toast breakfast via room service; however, since I joined my husband who wanted the buffet—and French toast was all that was on my mind—I may have felt that way because of it. I apologize for sharing an unnecessary comment; overall, from the bottom of my heart I'm glad we chose your hotel. We would love to stay with you again if we have another opportunity.     To celebrate a retirement.

    Asuka II happened to be docked at Meriken Park, and I was overwhelmed by its size. I stayed here noting it was to celebrate my retirement, but the seat I was shown to for breakfast was in a corner by the wall, far from the food, and nothing special.

    We had a great time.

    I stayed during the Luminarie season. The bus connections were good, so getting around was easy. From the Hotel Room, I could see the paid Luminarie light installations, and the night view was beautiful. The toilet door is right next to the bed, so noise might be a concern, but it can’t be helped. Breakfast included local specialty dishes and was delicious. On the second day, a large group of guests arrived at once, but they let us take the elevator first. I would like to stay again.

    As expected from a first-class hotel. Although it is an old accommodation, it is well-maintained and very comfortable. All the staff provided excellent service and hospitality. Thank you for arranging a high-floor room for us. The view of the Port Tower right in front was beautiful. When the hotel first opened, I saw one of the staff members on TV who seemed nervous or perhaps new, and their wording was a bit off, but seeing their earnest effort made me want to stay here someday. This time, my dream came true by staying here. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for us!

    Amazing Bed Mattress

    When I lay on the bed, the mattress felt hard, almost like a thin mattress placed directly on the floor. I was surprised when I lifted the mattress cover to find that not only was the mattress thin, but underneath it was a hard board, and below that was storage space for a third bed. Although my reservation was for a single room, it seemed to be set up as a triple room. I'm not sure if regular double or twin rooms have the same type of beds, but I was shocked that Hotel Okura uses such beds. Nowadays, even business hotels use Simmons beds, so this was disappointing. It took me a long time to fall asleep, and by morning my back hurt terribly.

    It was comfortable.

    The Facility is old but well-maintained and comfortable. The garden was also beautiful. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Meriken Park. The breakfast buffet could have had more variety. The route from the parking lot to the front of the Hotel was a bit confusing, and I got slightly lost.

    It was a pleasure to stay here again after a long time, and it was very comfortable. Although I couldn't relax much as it was just a short stay before heading to Tokyo, it truly felt like staying at Okura. It would have been perfect if the bath and toilet were separate...
