    Hotel Okura Kobe

    We stayed with a toddler and had a wonderful experience. It’s a very child-friendly Hotel, with a great play area and plenty of amenities for kids. The breakfast and the meals in the tea room were also delicious, and we had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very attentive as well. Thanks to you, we had an enjoyable trip. Thank you very much. When we travel to Kobe again, we would love to stay here.

    Everything was very ...

    Everything was very clean, and we were extremely satisfied with the wide variety of options at the breakfast buffet. However, since the in-house information was accessed by scanning a QR code, I thought it would be easier for older guests if a simple booklet were also available—for example, which floor each shop is on and its opening hours. Other than that, we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    This was our first time staying here in Kobe.

    Hotel Okura Kobe has the dignified charm of a long-established Hotel, and everything—from the outstanding staff to the excellent dining—made for unforgettable travel memories. In particular, it was truly pleasant that the staff greeted us warmly every time we came and went. Although it is a first-class Hotel, perhaps thanks to Kobe being such a tourist-friendly city, we were grateful for the strong value for money and reasonable pricing that never felt overly expensive. I would like to make this my regular Accommodation whenever I visit Kobe in the future. I usually choose Okura properties when they offer good value depending on the dates and city, but even so, The Okura Tokyo has become quite expensive. In that respect, this stay in Kobe was genuinely satisfying.

    It was wonderful.

    My husband and I stayed here for Takuya Kimura’s concert. From the entrance, the Hotel Okura felt elegant and immaculate, and having a bell staff member there made it easy to head to the front desk with peace of mind. We arrived before check-in time, but they kindly stored our suitcases and even let us check in a little early, which was wonderful. From our Room we could see the Port Tower and the Ferris wheel, and the view was fantastic. There was also water in the Room. I was a bit worried because the pricing is quite different from Hotel Okura in Tokyo, but those concerns were quickly put to rest—the staff’s service and warm smiles were outstanding. It truly lived up to the name Hotel Okura. Breakfast had many Japanese options with an impressive variety overall, and they even offered coffee to go, which made us very satisfied. We would love to stay again.

    Premium quality and exceptional hospitality

    We are an easygoing couple living in Osaka who enjoy traveling year-round, both in Japan and abroad. Since this Hotel is nearby, we often stay here for each other’s birthdays and Christmas. We love classic Hotels throughout The whole country, and this one is no exception—every time, we are fully satisfied with the wonderful hospitality and the Room.     We stayed in the ReF...

    We stayed in the ReFa Suite for my daughter’s birthday. Because it was her birthday, we received a rose, and the Room came with many perks, which made my daughter very happy and made me happy too. The cake included as a perk was very delicious, and we were also grateful for the free parking voucher valid until 4:00 PM the next day, since there were many places we wanted to visit in Kobe. The view from the Room was great, and the Room was clean, so we were able to relax and had no complaints overall. However, when opening the cabinet where the refrigerator is installed, it felt hot… and I noticed that drinks did not cool well. When we come to Kobe again, I would like to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Relax and unwind

    I am a repeat guest. This was my first time using room service (in-Room dining). Since my goal was to recover from summer fatigue, it was great to be able to relax and enjoy the meal without leaving the Room. The variety and portion size were just right, and I was satisfied. The price was an excellent value, but if I could make one request, I think satisfaction would have been much higher if appetizers and dessert were included, even with an additional charge.

    Excellent service.

    Above all, the service from the staff was excellent. The team who assisted us at check-in and when sending our luggage, the restaurant staff, and the staff member who delivered an iron to our Room were all warm and kind.

    Enjoy Harborland’s POP! UP! SUMMER!

    I thoroughly enjoyed the POP! UP! SUMMER! event at Harborland.\n\nI previously stayed at Hotel Okura Kobe on June 20, and I was deeply impressed by the wonderful, hospitality-filled service, including a Room upgrade, so I chose to stay again this time. Once again, my stay was very comfortable.\n\nIn particular, when I requested additional bathroom amenities (bath towels and a set of lotion and emulsion), a staff member promptly brought them to my Room and handed them to me with a refreshing smile. Also, at checkout, when I gave the bell staff an item left behind by the previous guest (a toothbrush found in the lighting desk drawer in my Room), they responded quickly and greeted me with a bright smile.\n\nOnce again, I was reminded how excellent this long-established Hotel in Kobe truly is. Sorry for the long message. To all staff members: it looks like the hot weather will continue—please take good care of yourselves. If I have the opportunity, I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel where both adults and children can feel comfortable.

    As a thank-you gift to relatives who have helped us, we treated them to a stay. They came back and told our family it was a wonderful Hotel. We chose a Room on the ocean side with a night view, thinking the kids would enjoy it. The children were happy, but the parents were absolutely amazed. The night view at Hotel Okura Kobe is outstanding—you can lose track of time just watching it.\n\nAnd breakfast: Okura’s breakfast is delicious across the board. The kids proudly told us they lined up twice for omelets! They even explained exactly what fillings they requested, their eyes sparkling.\n\nWe’re so glad we gifted them a stay at Hotel Okura Kobe. Thank you very much.

    High-end Hotel

    As expected of the Okura, everything is top-notch. If I had to mention one thing, the breakfast venue could feel a bit more upscale. The tables and chairs are arranged rather tightly—like an Onsen Hotel—and don’t feel particularly luxurious. The food itself is delicious.

    I stayed during the intense heat after the rainy season ended, but my stay was very comfortable. I always look forward to the Hotel breakfast when I stay, and this time I was especially satisfied because I could also enjoy French toast. I had to leave early due to work, so next time I’d like to take my time and enjoy my stay.

    The Akashiyaki served at breakfast is not tasty.

    The location is decent. If you stay on the ocean side, the view from the Room is great. The building is undeniably old. Breakfast was reasonably satisfying. However, despite being described as “fluffy,” the Akashiyaki seemed to have too little egg and tasted like plain flour-based food, so it wasn’t good. I’d like to see this improved.

    I didn’t expect a Hotel not to provide bathrobes. I later learned I could request one through room service, but still… The price was low, yet it felt like staying at a Business Hotel. Disappointing.

    My stay in March was...

    My stay in March was very good, so I chose this Accommodation again this month. However, I was very disappointed this time because there were about 4–5 hairs in the Room bathtub, and although two women stayed, only one set of cosmetic amenities was provided.

    Japanese-affiliated hotels just feel like the right fit.

    Compared with the hospitality at international chain Hotels, I felt this place really highlights what Japan does well. • Service They likely have a well-crafted Japanese service manual. Staffing is difficult everywhere, but here the scripted phrasing and language were polished, which made me appreciate that Japanese attention to detail. • Cleanliness Housekeeping was thorough with no corners cut. More than simply being a new building, I think it will gain character over time by being carefully maintained and used with care. It had been a while since I last walked around inside, and I enjoyed the building itself. • Room We stayed in a spacious Room. The Family Suite (Japanese/Western-style) was very comfortable. We used room service about twice and were able to enjoy our meals comfortably. It worked well for 4 adults and 2 children (ages 3 and 1). The bathroom in the Room was also large, which made bathing the kids easy. • Dining The food was good enough, but it doesn’t have that flashy “wow” factor you sometimes get at international chain Hotels, so it wasn’t an unforgettable experience. While it was certainly tasty, I felt the price-to-value balance leaned slightly toward being expensive. We also visited the bar. I wished it had a bit more of a refined, substantial feel—it was more like a slightly upscale lounge atmosphere.

    The night view from the Room was beautiful.

    We stayed as three generations to take our grandchild to the Anpanman Museum. The breakfast venue was spacious, and our child was delighted that the kids’ tableware featured Anpanman. Thank you as well for accommodating requests such as a bed guard. The Shuttle Service from the station was also very kind. Just one issue: we used a taxi waiting in front of the Hotel, but the driver said things like the stroller might not fit when putting it in the trunk. We had informed them in advance that we were only going a very short distance (about one meter fare), but throughout the ride he remained silent, and even when we thanked him as we got out, he said nothing, seemed irritated, and drove off. We were surprised, as we have never experienced a taxi like this before.

    A Classic Hotel

    It was conveniently close to Motomachi and right next to Kobe Port Tower, with a charming atmosphere. The Room is a bit old, but that adds to its character. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was delicious, featuring many ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture. I would like to stay here again.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    Because it is in an easy-to-find location, even taxi drivers had no trouble getting us there. It is also within walking distance of Motomachi Station, and the port is right in front, making it a great base for sightseeing. This was my second trip to Kobe, and it turned out to be a wonderful one. We were very satisfied with breakfast as well, enjoying it while taking in the pleasant view from the breakfast venue.

    Making a huge difference

    I stay here almost every year, and compared with other Hotels in the same price range, you can enjoy an experience that goes beyond expectations. As a top-class Hotel, the staff seem well prepared to handle all kinds of guests and situations. The location is relaxing, and both the Hotel Facility and the Room were comfortable; although I stayed in a standard Room, it had been renovated and felt exceptionally clean. At Camellia, I had French toast and pasta—needless to say, both the food and the staff’s service were first-class. I have stayed at other Hotels in Kobe as well, but Okura makes a huge difference!

    It was a bit disappointing.

    This is a Hotel I really love. I was excited to learn there is a manga Room and had been looking forward to it when I got the chance. I planned to relax and read during a two-night Multiple Night Stay, but as soon as I entered the Room, I was taken aback by an indescribable odor. It didn’t seem like the smell of books. It wasn’t like a library smell either. For now, I used the deodorizing spray in the Room on the carpet, sofa, and curtains. I also ran the deodorizer installed in the Room on turbo mode all day. I have stayed in various Rooms at this Hotel more than 10 times, but this was the first time an odor bothered me this much. Because I couldn’t open the window and couldn’t leave the door open either, it was difficult to ventilate. It may be difficult, but I think it would be better to open the windows and air out vacant Rooms when possible, and if you do so already (as I’m sure you do), for as long as possible. Other than that, both the breakfast buffet and room service were very satisfying, and of course so was your hospitality. I apologize if this comes across as unpleasant. I simply felt that if only the odor were improved, I would like to stay again. Thank you again.

    I had a wonderful time in Kobe.

    This was my first stay in Kobe in a while, and I had a very satisfying time thanks to the calm interior decor (Tango no Sekku) and the relaxed atmosphere. Of course, the staff were attentive and the food was delicious. The Okura name is clearly being carried on, and I would like to visit again next time.

    Hotel with a Great View

    My first time in Kobe. I stayed here with my family. This Hotel is very convenient, as you can walk to Kobe Tower and Chinatown. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the French toast and pudding were especially delicious. There were also dishes made with local milk and onions, which we really enjoyed. The staff were wonderful, especially those in training—they worked very hard and were very pleasant. I would love to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    While reflecting on Kobe’s history

    This trip was to show my relatives visiting from Hokkaido around, and it exceeded our expectations. The outstanding service quality, beautiful night views, and delicious meals were all wonderful. At the restaurant we used for dinner, you took thorough care regarding allergies, for which we are truly grateful. We were also very impressed when we bought a cake to eat in the Room and you provided plates and forks as well. Reflecting on Kobe’s strength—from Japan’s development in the Meiji era shown at Kitano Ijinkan to the path of recovery from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake felt on the way back to the Hotel and at Kobe Port Memorial Park—this became an unforgettable trip.     This was my first st...

    This was my first stay in two years. Since we had a guaranteed ocean-view Room, it was great to be able to see Meriken Park, Port Tower, and the Ferris wheel. However, there were two disappointing points due to aging facilities: - The bathtub is old, and the yellowing and roughness were quite noticeable. - The toilet did not flush well. I would like to see improvements in the cleanliness of the bathroom area. Otherwise, I feel the price should be lowered. The front desk staff and cloakroom staff were very pleasant and helpful.
