Status of Our Property and Operations Regarding the Kumamoto Earthquakes
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the Kumamoto earthquakes, as well as to their families. We sincerely pray for the safety of those who are still living with uncertainty and for a swift recovery of the region.
■ Current Status of Our Property
Fortunately, our property has not suffered any major damage from this earthquake, and we are operating as usual today.
During an earthquake about 10 years ago, the hot spring source temporarily became cloudy and caused concern; however, this time there has been no impact on our Onsen facilities or water quality, and a remarkably stable, clear spring continues to flow.
The Yamaga/Hirayama area at the northern edge of Kumamoto Prefecture—where we are located—sits on firm, stable ground (including Aso pyroclastic-flow deposits). Within the property as well, we have maintained an environment where guests can stay with peace of mind. To help ease your fatigue and worries even a little, we continue to prepare the same warm waters as always.
■ Vigilance for Aftershocks and Safety Measures
Please note that unexpected aftershocks may continue. With guest safety as our top priority, we will continue inspections and safety checks throughout the building and its facilities.
If you feel shaking during your stay, please remain calm and follow staff guidance.

As a property, we will provide as much support as possible to those affected. While thoroughly implementing safety measures, we will welcome you with unchanged hospitality so that this can remain a place where you can truly relax.
