We are delighted to share that our Accommodation has been selected for “One Michelin Key” in the Michelin Guide’s hotel selection, “Michelin Key 2026,” announced in September 2026.
For us—still less than a year since our opening in November 2025—this recognition is owed entirely to all of our guests, to everyone who supports Kappo Chishinan, and to all those who have stood by us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude.
“A kaiseki dish from a ryotei, served in your Room at its very best”—cherishing this philosophy, we will continue as a four-room Japanese auberge, carefully delivering Kanazawa’s finest cuisine and deep relaxation to each party.

｜What is the Michelin Key?

Known for awarding stars to restaurants, the Michelin Guide also offers a hotel selection that evaluates Hotels and Ryokan around the world based on its own criteria. Ratings are indicated by one to three “Keys.”
■ Five evaluation criteria
1. The Hotel itself is a travel destination, offering an experience unique to its location
2. Outstanding architecture and interior design
3. Distinct character reflecting the property’s individuality and features
4. High-quality service, comfort, and excellent maintenance
5. An experience worthy of the price
In the 2026 edition, 145 Accommodations across Japan have been awarded Michelin Keys.
