“R-restaurant & bar” offers a stunning panoramic view of Tokyo Skytree®

R-restaurant & bar is a French-inspired all-day dining restaurant on the 13th floor of The Gate Hotel Kaminarimon, where you can enjoy your meal while taking in Asakusa’s night views and the sparkling Tokyo Skytree (R). With table seating indoors, terrace seating that brings you up close to the dynamic Tokyo Skytree (R), and high-chair counter seats, we offer a comfortable space that values just the right sense of distance for our guests. Asakusa is also a city rich in food culture. Step out from the Hotel to experience Asakusa’s unique local flavors—and feel free to stop by for one more drink after your meal. Savor an exceptional moment as you raise a glass and lose yourself in the enchanting night view.

The top floor features an open, airy terrace and an attached bar that feels like a hidden retreat for adults.

The 14th floor is a private space exclusively for guests. From the open-air terrace “T-Terrace,” you can enjoy panoramic views of the modern Tokyo Skytree® and the charming old downtown area. It is a place where you can experience both traditional and contemporary Japan at once. The adjoining bar, “B-bar,” is an authentic bar with a refined, adults-only atmosphere, open only at night. Unwind with a quiet moment in the indoor seating away from the bustle, or enjoy a relaxed, casual atmosphere on the terrace while feeling the fresh air. Once a month, the restaurant transforms into a live venue—enjoy an unforgettable evening of live jazz and powerful vocals.

On the last day of each month, we host “Misoka Live” at our 13th-floor restaurant, R restaurant & bar. Live performances fill the venue, creating an atmosphere unlike our regular service and bringing together guests who enjoy the world of jazz in their own way. We hope it becomes a once-a-month special evening for discerning adults at month’s end. Just beyond the city’s bustle, relax and immerse yourself in the music for an elegant moment.
