Enjoy a wide variety of guest rooms, including suites located over 100 meters above the ground, with panoramic views of Osaka.

Directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station on the subway, at the intersection of Midosuji and Nagahori-dori. THE GATE HOTEL Osaka by HULIC is located on the upper floors (16F–28F) of a mixed-use high-rise development, weaving a story from the waterfront to the streets and up into the sky, refining an unchanging sense of comfort within an ever-shifting city. All 223 guest rooms range from Essential, Classy, and Luxe to suites including THE GATE Suite, distilling Japanese comfort into a refined stay. The lobby and all-day dining on the 26th floor gently embrace the city’s light and set your daily rhythm; the fitness area on the 27th floor; and on the 28th floor, an exclusive guest lounge plus a rooftop terrace & bar create a quiet social space open to the sky. In this area where Osaka’s waterside energy once gathered and new culture has continually emerged, we open a new gate for the next era—elevating encounters and expression to “the sky.”

Reviews 2th placeReview Ranking in Osaka
  • I became a fan of The Gate Hotel in Kyoto, so I stayed here in Osaka as well. The location is, of course, excellent. Every Room offers a wonderful view. The interior is clean and efficiently designed. Details like the side tables use eco-friendly materials, giving it a modern feel throughout. Breakfast was delicious across the board, and I was very satisfied. I will stay again.

  • Choosing The Gate Hotel for our stay in Osaka was truly the best decision—no question about it.There’s absolutely no need to worry about any issues that can come with a newly opened property or inexperienced staff. Everyone provides wonderfully warm and flawless hospitality! It was only one night, but it added the perfect touch to our wedding anniversary trip, and we’re sincerely grateful. We truly hope to stay here again the next time we visit Osaka.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Exterior

A Hotel where your personal time begins after escaping the city’s hustle and bustle

From the moment you open the door, your own time begins. THE GATE Hotel Osaka by HULIC is located in lively Shinsaibashi, yet it gently eases the city’s bustle and opens your mind to the sky. From the era of waterways that symbolized Osaka, the Water City, to its growth as a thriving downtown on land—and onward to the heavens beyond. We captured this city’s layered passage of time through a story of “Waterways,” “Land,” and “Sky,” expressed with the sense of openness found only on upper floors. Step into the lobby on the 26th floor, and a panoramic view unfolds over Osaka’s cityscape. Surrounded by cloud-like sofas and soft light, quiet “me time” begins—close to both everyday life and travel. Becoming one with the city’s charm, and then going one step further. At this Hotel opened to Osaka’s sky, open the door to time that feels uniquely yours.

Facilities

A bright, light-filled place above Shinsaibashi where your journey begins

The 26th-floor lobby, reached after stepping out of the shuttle elevator, is filled with an airy openness that feels like arriving above the clouds. In this expansive space of approximately 305 m² with a ceiling height of about 5 m, natural light pours in and the vibrant energy of Osaka unfolds below. Cloud-inspired sofas and chandeliers create a floating sensation unique to this Hotel. Though located directly above the bustle of Minami, here your view—and your mind—gently unwind, bringing your stay into balance. For check-in moments, meeting up, or lingering before departure. This lobby is not just a passageway—it is a “gate” that shifts you from the city’s excitement into your own time. Your stay begins here, where lively Osaka and quiet exhilaration meet.

All-Day Dining

Savor a Dish Full of Scenic Views and Live Atmosphere at “Anchor Osaka”

Anchor Osaka is an all-day dining venue spanning the 26th floor. In an open, airy space with approximately 5-meter-high ceilings filled with natural light, you can enjoy your meal while taking in the cityscape of Osaka Minami. Inside, an emerald-green counter and orange accent walls set the scene around a teppanyaki counter, where you can watch the chefs at work up close and savor dishes at their freshest. From à la carte dining to business meals, we accommodate a wide range of occasions, with semi-private and private rooms also available. The west-facing urban panorama feels light by day and becomes striking from dusk into night. The name “Anchor” reflects our wish to be a place rooted in the city—where people gather and connect. Enjoy Osaka’s vibrant energy and live atmosphere alongside memorable dishes.

Rooftop Bar & Terrace

At the top of the city, excitement fills the air. Rooftop Bar & Terrace “PEAKS”

On the top 28th floor, PEAKS is a rooftop bar and terrace offering sweeping views of Osaka’s sky and city from about 120 meters above the ground. While the 26th floor is themed around “the heavens,” this space is designed as an “urban oasis,” inviting you to unwind and feel the energy of Osaka. Step through the doors to discover a striking bar counter set against a magnificent panoramic view of the city. From daytime afternoons to shifting sunset skies and glittering city lights at night, each hour brings its own sense of excitement. On the terrace, enjoy the breeze; in the lounge, relax and linger over conversation. The name “PEAKS” reflects our wish to be a place for life’s high points—your best moments, where spirits rise. Perfect for a pre- or post-dinner drink or a special gathering, it is an iconic social spot that captures Osaka’s nights.

A quiet social space beyond the bustle: “Gate Lounge”

Gate Lounge, located on the top 28th floor, is an all-day lounge for staying guests. While PEAKS is an energizing, active space, this is a calm retreat filled with comfort and quiet. Surrounded by high-floor views and gentle natural light, it helps you start your day with care. From brunch through bar time, enjoy complimentary coffee and tea with small sweets as you spend time your own way. After taking in the lively energy of Minami, return to yourself for a moment above the city. Both a base for exploring and a place to reset your mind—Gate Lounge is another gateway to deepen “your time,” in true Hotel style.

Art

Art infused with the memories of water, sky, and the city

At THE GATE HOTEL OSAKA by HULIC, art is an essential part of the stay experience. It is shaped by three perspectives: “water,” “sky,” and “local character.” By layering Osaka’s memories as a city of water, the openness unique to the upper floors, and the culture and sensibilities rooted in this area, we weave a distinctly Osaka feel throughout the entire space. Flow, shimmer, reflection—the many expressions of water evoke Osaka’s history as a thriving canal city. The vast sky and its shifting colors quietly highlight this Hotel’s character high above the city. Adding local context brings a story found only here into the space itself. When you pause for a moment inside, art that resonates with the view beyond the windows enriches your impression of your stay. As a Hotel that becomes one with the city’s appeal, we gently convey the essence of Osaka.
