With only five rooms, you can relax in a quiet, unhurried setting. Guests may also use the large public bath at our main building, “Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei,” free of charge.

    This is a small, cozy, hidden-gem Accommodation. The meals were excellent—dinner, breakfast, and even gelato! In the evening, you can help yourself to wine, whisky, and soft drinks as much as you like. This was also a great service. You can also visit the Onsen at Suizantei, but if you’re not particularly looking for an Onsen, the in-room jacuzzi bath is more than enough to enjoy. We really appreciated the Shuttle Service to Chitose Station. (One small thing: it would have been even better if there had been jam for the breakfast toast.) It’s close to walks around Lake Shikotsu and is great for an evening or morning stroll. An Accommodation I’d definitely recommend to others. Thank you for taking care of us.

  • We’ll be back!

    Our previous Accommodation had quite a few foreign guests, and it didn’t feel very relaxing, but this place was quiet and we were able to unwind. I’ll recommend it to friends, and we’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This is a quiet Accommodation with just five rooms. Time to gaze absentmindedly at the sunset sky with your favorite book in hand. Time to listen to the sound of rain and enjoy gelato at a leisurely pace. Time to feel the breeze and waves crossing the lake, and be captivated by the crisp beauty of Lake Shikotsu. Time that flows more slowly than usual. And yet, before you know it, it slips by in an instant. It feels long, yet short. A strangely special day like that awaits you here.

In Hokkaido, you’ll find countless wonderful local ingredients. At “Ame no Hi to Yuuyake,” we make gelato and pizza so you can enjoy the true flavors of these beloved ingredients just as they are. For our gelato base, we use Jersey milk from Biei and create flavors with seasonal fruit and vegetables from our own garden, using as little sugar as possible to bring out each ingredient’s naturally gentle taste. For our pizzas, we use house-made prosciutto aged for over a year, crisp fresh vegetables from our garden, and locally produced Hokkaido cheese. We keep things simple— as close to the original as possible. That’s what matters most to us.

In addition, our Facility does not have vending machines. If you need anything, please purchase it in advance. ■In the natural park, tree cutting is prohibited to protect the natural environment and scenic landscape. As a result, during summer the lake view from the lounge and restaurant may be partially obscured by foliage. We appreciate your understanding as part of preserving the park.
