"Aoi no Za" is the pinnacle of the "Za" series in the Tsuruga Group's Executive Class, representing the finest Ryokan. "Za" signifies a place where people gather and interact. The jewel-like lake embraced by the forest, Lake Shikotsu, is represented by the character "碧" to depict its shining blue scenery. All 25 rooms are equipped with Onsen open-air baths and indoor jet baths. Enjoy a moment of relaxation at your leisure.

With only five rooms, you can relax in a quiet, unhurried setting. Guests may also use the large public bath at our main building, “Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei,” free of charge.

All guest Rooms are luxurious with lake views, named after the flowers of Lake Shikotsu, with only 8 rooms available. The restaurant offers exquisite dinners, utilizing the flavors of seasonal ingredients from Hokkaido and beyond.

Established in 1915, this traditional onsen ryokan is located by the lakeside. From the open-air observation bath, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Shikotsu. The natural open-air bath features a rare spring that wells up from beneath your feet, unique even across the whole country.
