Enjoy an open-air bath that reflects the four seasons and savor seasonal ingredients from San'in.

At Yumura Onsen Asanoya, we consider the three arts of Kado, Chado, and Kodo as the foundation of our hospitality. While the spirit of Kado and Chado can be seen as fundamental paths, we particularly emphasize Kodo as it represents an elegant culture transcending daily life, enriching your stay. Please enjoy a relaxing and peaceful time.

  • On my first visit back to Asanoya in a while, the Accommodation was even more beautiful than before, and the staff welcomed me with warm, genuine smiles. Enjoying a forest-bathing experience in the open-air Onsen surrounded by cicada songs, and soaking in the large public bath filled with clear, pristine water, I felt the everyday fatigue that had built up over the summer melt away—I was able to relax from the bottom of my heart. It’s rare to find an Accommodation where everything is this complete: the Onsen, the Room, the cuisine, and the attentive care of the staff. And while many luxury Ryokan are extremely expensive, Asanoya offers this wonderful service at truly reasonable prices. I hope to spend my years ahead with Asanoya. Thank you again for everything on this visit as well.

  • We traveled with our dog this time. Everyone at the Hotel was truly wonderful, and they kindly spoke to our dog as well, which made the trip very enjoyable. The Room was also very clean. It was great that towels were provided in the large public bath, so we could go multiple times without bringing anything. The area was properly cleaned, and there wasn’t even hair on the floor—excellent. Two days before our trip, I contacted you because my husband’s work might have required us to cancel, and I truly appreciated your sincere and helpful response (we were able to adjust things and still make the trip). My husband is going to support earthquake recovery efforts, and being able to relax in the Onsen will help him do his best. Thank you very much.
