    A disappointing impression.

    The train noise is bothersome. Traffic noise is also noticeable. You can clearly hear sounds from the hallway as well. The shuttle bus runs infrequently. When returning to the Hotel, I walked from Shin-Omiya Station. Breakfast felt like a crowded station during rush hour in the morning. I was surprised to see people overflowing into the hallway. The selection is not particularly large, and the same goes for the room service menu. Overall, it left a disappointing impression.

    I’ve stayed here man...

    I’ve stayed here many times. It’s always wonderful no matter when I visit. Not only is it stylish and uplifting, but the food is delicious and all the staff are very kind. Thank you as always. I’ll be back again soon.

    Because I was schedu...

    Because I was scheduled to depart early the next morning, I requested a takeaway breakfast box one month in advance. However, when I went to pick it up that morning, I was given an empty box and told to fill it myself at the buffet. The buffet was already packed with a tour group, so I could barely put anything in and ended up missing breakfast altogether. Even if it was busy, this is unacceptable given that it had been arranged a month in advance. I will not stay at this Hotel again.

    Mineral water

    I travel every year, but this was the first time I’ve been provided mineral water in a glass bottle. I had been concerned about microplastics in plastic bottles, so I was impressed by the Hotel’s health-conscious approach. This is a Hotel I would like to use again if I visit Nara next time.

    A Hotel You'll Want to Visit Again

    This was my first time staying here, and it was a better Hotel than I expected. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and the row of cherry trees along the Saho River next to the Hotel was incredibly beautiful and impressive. The entire Hotel—Room, restaurant, lounge, and bath area—was all clean and easy to use. The lounge and restaurant also have relaxing box seats, creating a great atmosphere that feels stylish as well. As for the sweets in the lounge, I thought it would be nice to have a bit more variety even outside tea time. For breakfast, we were told to choose any seat we liked, so we could enjoy a delicious breakfast comfortably. It was clear from the placemat on the table that they are committed to using local ingredients. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, but there were just two things that stood out. The front desk felt businesslike and somewhat unfriendly both when I called before my stay and when I interacted with them in person. The parking was hard to find, and getting to the Times parking lot next to the Hotel required taking a very narrow road, which made it inconvenient. The location is also fairly close to the nearest station, and it was very convenient that we could use the shuttle bus next door at the Marriott Hotel to get to Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station. When staying in Nara again, I would like to return to Novotel Nara.

    It was my first time staying here. The Plan with access to the Executive Lounge was very comfortable. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    We had a great time.

    I stayed with my elderly mother. Everything was well prepared and very clean. At the executive lounge, the staff kindly spoke to us, and it was a thoughtful, comfortable space—my mother was very happy. This was my fourth stay, and the only things I noticed were that the number of dinner items seemed slightly fewer than before, and the beef steak was quite tough. For those reasons, I gave 4 stars. We truly had a wonderful time. I will definitely come again. Thank you very much.

    A wonderful time

    The Room was spacious, with a very convenient layout that made our stay comfortable. The pajamas were a separate top and bottom, and the fabric felt substantial, so we slept well. In the lounge, we could relax quietly during the daytime; at night it was busy, but we were promptly shown to a seat—thank you. Bath time in the large public bath was just what we needed to relieve fatigue. It was also helpful that we could carry our belongings from the Room in a basket. Meals both morning and evening included dishes made with ingredients unique to Nara Prefecture; dinner in particular had distinctive seasoning and was truly delicious. The beef was especially excellent. When sightseeing in Nara again, I would love to stay here again in the same type of Room and relax.

    Solo trip for my wife

    My wife stayed on her own for separate errands, and she came back satisfied with the new Facility and spacious Room. If I had to mention any drawbacks, she said the Japanese breakfast options were fewer than at other Hotels, and there wasn’t much to see within walking distance. If we have another opportunity, we would be happy to stay again together. Thank you very much.

    The trusted Novotel brand

    I stayed at Novotel for the first time in Japan, having often relied on them for overseas business trips. As expected, it’s a brand you can trust, offering excellent value for money and a very high level of satisfaction. The overall cleanliness was great, and I especially enjoyed how convenient the executive lounge and rooftop bar were, as well as the quality of the breakfast. The bath itself felt a bit small, but this isn’t an Onsen Accommodation to begin with; seen as part of the wellness lounge and social lounge experience, I was impressed by how thoughtfully it provides a functional and relaxing space. I also really liked the signature blended fragrance. I imagine it would be particularly wonderful during cherry blossom season along the riverside. I’ll definitely stay again.

    Best value-for-money accommodation!

    My wife and I stayed in a Room with lounge access. The Room was clean and comfortable. The lounge was cozy, and the staff were very welcoming. Great value for money. This was our second stay, and we’d like to make it our regular Accommodation in Nara.

    We’ve found a new go-to Accommodation.

    As it’s still new, everything is very clean. The Room was more spacious than a typical business hotel, and the large window made it bright and comfortable (though I did worry a bit about being seen from the apartment building across the river). The in-room bath was more than satisfactory, and the shower water pressure was strong. I also used the large public bath; being able to stretch out and relax really helps relieve fatigue. The downside was that the parking entrance is hard to spot from the main road, so I drove past it. Also, it’s a bit of a walk to the front desk and there are some steps, so pulling a suitcase can be somewhat difficult. I noticed some cars parked closer to the entrance—why is that? I heard parking can’t be reserved, but how can you park closer? I used the restaurant for dinner. Since it’s described as Italian, I expected pasta but was disappointed. I wanted to order à la carte, but there weren’t many options, so I ended up choosing the buffet. There were several kinds of pizza (the taste was okay), but everything else (tough roast beef, curry, fried chicken, mediocre ajillo, etc.) didn’t feel Italian at all. I would have liked to enjoy better risotto or pasta. Overall, I’m grateful for a pleasant stay at this bright and clean Hotel. Nara has lacked well-known Hotel brands until now, so from here on I’d like to make this my regular Accommodation.

    A Hotel that feels like you’re abroad

    This was my second stay, and this time I came with my daughter. I love how it feels like being abroad while still in Japan. The eco-friendly initiatives are wonderful, but I wish a few more amenities were provided. Other than that, it was very comfortable and a Hotel I truly love. I would like to stay again.

    Clean, well-maintained guest room

    I stayed on March 14. The Room was clean, the Facility was new, and you can check things like how crowded it is from your Room. Before entering the large public bath (men’s and women’s), there is a healing space and a kids’ room, which were very comfortable, and I could use the massage chairs for free. I really appreciated having a place to wait for my family after bathing. Breakfast was excellent—especially the Asuka-jiru soup. There were also smoothies and champagne. The dining area was stylish, and it seemed like there wouldn’t be a bad seat anywhere. Nearby there is a Tsutaya bookstore, so I went to look for souvenirs at night. There’s also a convenience store, which is handy. The parking lot was full, but they guided me to an alternative where I could park cheaply for 1,000 yen.

    Everything is new, which was great. I especially liked that the toilet and bath are separate. Using the massage chair after a bath was also wonderful. The Executive Lounge cocktail-time snacks were available until 7:30 PM. When we came back from dinner and were looking to see what was available, they started clearing everything away... If you plan to use the lounge, please keep an eye on the snack end time.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    We stayed for two nights for sightseeing with our child. It was a stylish and lovely Hotel. I’ll share what we liked and what we noticed. ・Room The 26 m² Room was a bit compact, but we appreciated having plenty of towels. It felt very clean. The rental items were well stocked, though it would have been nice if an air purifier/humidifier had been placed in the Room in advance. They brought one right away when we called, but as we kept thinking of other items to borrow later, we felt bad asking staff to come multiple times. If we have another chance, we’d like to make a Reservation for a larger Room with a closet. Since there was no closet in the Room, coats and other bulky items got in the way. ・Lounge We could use it comfortably even with our child. There was a great selection of food and drinks, and we enjoyed it. We had an on-site voucher, so we ordered pizza during cocktail time—it was delicious. ・Public bath For the size of the Hotel, the number of lockers felt limited. It was helpful that we could check crowding from our Room, but the women’s side always seemed busy. Unfortunately, there was a group of Asian middle-aged women speaking loudly and kicking their legs in the bath, so it wasn’t very relaxing. The amenities were excellent. ・Breakfast We enjoyed many local Nara specialties. The buffet had lots of variety and was fun. The restaurant was spacious and comfortable. ・Other On Saturday evening, we lined up at Kintetsu Nara Station to take the JW Marriott shuttle bus, but it was full and we couldn’t board. We were told the next one would be 30 minutes later, so we took a taxi instead. Since many others also couldn’t get on, I hope you will consider increasing service frequency or making improvements. We were able to ride it back to Yamato-Saidaiji Station. Thank you for considering this feedback.

    This is my favorite Hotel.

    We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We previously used the club floor and loved it. This time we stayed in a Junior Suite, and the Room was even nicer than we expected. It felt like excellent value for money, so we plan to stay in this Room from now on! The club lounge is very comfortable, and we love it because the food and drinks are high quality. It’s also a great place to get work done. This time we didn’t use the large public bath and only used the bath in our Room, which was more than enough for us. We’d love to stay again on another occasion. Highly recommended.

    It was comfortable.

    It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but if you take the shuttle bus from Itami Airport to the convention center, the Hotel is right next door. The Room and bathroom were clean, and I was able to relax comfortably. The meals were both breakfast and dinner—simply tasty. One small thing: it was hard to find where the fruit was at the breakfast buffet, so I thought it would be nice if there were a brief 안내 at the start. I’d like to stay here again.

    Stayed one night for sightseeing in Nara. Used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and the bar at night. The freshly baked pizzas at dinner were small, so it was nice to try a variety. However, those who often go to Hotel buffets may feel the selection is limited. Also, it was disappointing that the espresso machine coffee tasted worse than convenience store coffee. Since it was during a holiday period, the large public bath was inevitably crowded, but I appreciated being able to check the crowd level from my Room. The Room was clean and relaxing—more than sufficient for a one-night stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

    It was significantly improved.

    This was my second stay. I stayed on the Club Floor both times, and it was significantly better than my first visit. First, the food in the Club Lounge: a great variety and delicious. The lounge staff were also professional and excellent. The large public bath had improved as well—unlike before, makeup remover and basic skincare amenities were provided. It would be even better if facial cleanser were available too! Breakfast doesn’t have a live kitchen, but it’s tasty, with a wide selection and kept very clean. Since there were so many options, I used quite a few plates, but clearing didn’t always keep up, so I had to ask staff to take them away. It would be helpful if empty plates could be cleared more quickly overall. All in all, I think it’s a wonderful Hotel. I will definitely stay again.

    The dinner buffet is highly recommended.

    This was my second stay. The first time, perhaps because it had just opened, we had issues such as card key errors, and the breakfast was not as good as expected. However, the interior and Facility were wonderful, so we stayed again. This time we chose a plan with breakfast and dinner included, and the Italian dinner buffet exceeded our expectations in quality. There were many kinds of pizza and pasta, as well as steak, risotto, and even escargot. The desserts were also plentiful and delicious. Considering the price, we were very satisfied overall. Nara is said not to have many famous local specialties (even locals say so!), so I think it’s a good idea to enjoy dinner here as well.

    Convenient shuttle bus service.

    I often stay here when I visit Nara. The shuttle bus now also serves the JW Marriott, making it even more convenient with easy access to Kintetsu Nara Station! Breakfast was excellent, with more menu options such as Asuka-jiru. Dinner was also great—the roast beef from the live kitchen was delicious.

    Is there anything else?

    I stayed here because I had used it overseas before, even though the location is inconvenient. First, there were no slippers provided. I didn’t want to wear shoes indoors, but not wearing anything also felt uncomfortable, so I asked for slippers to be brought to me. It’s convenient that you can check how crowded the large public bath is via the mirror, but if you still have to call to request loan items anyway, I’m not sure what the point is. The large public bath was dark, and some foreign guests were showering while standing up, causing water to splash into the tub area, so I couldn’t relax and ended up using the bath in my Room instead. There was no body wash towel either. I understand being environmentally conscious, but it wasn’t great. The provided pajamas also had an odor that bothered me. Maybe because they’re black, they didn’t feel very clean. Breakfast was good, and the Shuttle Service bus driver was pleasant. At this price for that location, I think I would stay somewhere else next time. Disappointing overall.

    The pizza is amazing.

    I ordered a quattro pizza using the Diamond Member benefit ¥3,000 voucher. Enjoying it with the red wine in the lounge, it was absolutely delicious. Because of the holiday period, lounge use was time-limited, but I still had a great time. However, even after 8:00 p.m., there were strollers and small children running around, which was noisy and dangerous. I think it should be adults only after 7:00 p.m.

    We celebrated a 88th birthday, and had a wonderful stay.

    We made a Reservation to celebrate a 88th birthday. When the guest of honor visited in advance, the staff kindly showed them around the Hotel, and they had been looking forward to this stay. On the day of our stay, they were deeply moved by the congratulatory message and thoughtful gesture prepared on the Room table. Thank you very much. We, as the family celebrating, were also truly happy. We reserved three Rooms without making any special requests, but you arranged them next to each other, which made it easy for us to move around together—thank you. The view from the Room was wonderful as well. Being able to use the lounge made for a comfortable stay; they said the large public bath and massage chairs felt great. At breakfast in the 1F restaurant, you guided us to a private room so we could enjoy our meal in comfort. The female staff member was especially kind—she noticed right away when it was hard to open a drink and helped us promptly, which left a great impression. We were able to spend a wonderful time together across three generations. Thank you very much.

    A young male lounge staff member ruined the mood of my trip.

    I’m a repeat guest. I like this Hotel and have been staying here. I was looking forward to this stay as well. However, during tea time in the lounge, there was a staff member with very poor service who was clearly in a bad mood, which really upset me. Honestly, I want them to manage their own mood. They’re on duty and being paid, right? And they work in the lounge. Their mood has nothing to do with the guests. The other staff are polite and many provide excellent service, so this was very disappointing. I’m not asking for over-the-top hospitality—I just want normal service. After that, the staff member who assisted us during cocktail time provided good service, and I was able to enjoy my drinks. Even though I came all the way to Nara to stay at a Hotel I like, this time was very disappointing. My next stay is already booked, so next time I don’t want to see that staff member again.
