    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay! The entire Hotel was clean, modern, and incredibly stylish. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming with smiles. Everything was completely satisfying.

    The hardware and software are unbalanced.

    A new and pleasant accommodation with well-equipped facilities for a comfortable stay, but the hospitality was disappointing. However, depending on future improvements, it has the potential to become one of the top hotels in the area. The welcome at the entrance was rough, even considering it was a rental car arrival. During check-in, the response from an experienced staff member felt overly casual and detached. Although there is a wide price range for lounge access, interactions with guests felt too informal and lacked sufficient explanations. When asking about restaurants or wine, responses like "There's no one available to answer today" were given. Despite ordering based on origin and variety, they suggested something entirely different (even switching between red and white) saying "We're out of that; how about this at the same price?" At breakfast time, guidance and clearing services did not match the hotel's grade level—raising questions like "Is this outsourced?" On the other hand, the hotel as a whole is stylish with interiors that are sometimes vibrant and sometimes chic. The color schemes of furnishings, well-equipped amenities in guest rooms, and attention to SDGs make it suitable for enjoying a staycation. The use of full-length mirrors in guest rooms as displays not only provides hotel information but also allows updates on room delivery services or congestion statuses—showcasing cutting-edge technology. With high hopes for improvements in service quality (software), I might consider staying again someday!

    Clean Hotel at an Affordable Price

    Weekday stay. The front desk, bellman, cleaning staff, and other team members provided excellent service with a pleasant attitude. The Hotel has an exciting design and a lovely fragrance that raises expectations. The Room was new and clean. Considering the low price, there were no complaints about the lounge either. Unfortunately, due to rain, I couldn't access the sky deck, which was disappointing. The public Onsen was medium-sized but equipped with Mirable showers—fantastic. Now onto dinner with high hopes. The wood-fired pizza was incredibly delicious—hot and available in various types. However, other menu items were disappointing... The steak was too tough to enjoy properly and felt hard to digest... As for the small desserts—they tasted like one bite was enough. In short, nothing besides the pizza stood out as tasty. Paying 6,000 yen for this is overpriced. Moving on to breakfast with a fresh mindset—the layout caused inefficiency for both staff and guests... There were noticeable mismatches too—for example: chilled Miwa somen noodles served on ice next to warm dipping sauce in bowls alongside Onsen eggs—but no sauce nearby! When asked about it: "Please use soy sauce placed far away," they said… Nothing tasted good here either—it just left me feeling tired. Despite being an affordable new Hotel that's clean and well-designed—it lacks enjoyable dining options; therefore I won't be returning again—a real disappointment overall!

    The Hotel, opened last year, is excellent.

    I stayed at the accommodation for a solo trip and was extremely satisfied. If I have the chance, I would like to visit again with my family. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Third stay

    This is my third stay at this hotel, and I absolutely love it. Nara is a perfect place to enjoy temples, shrines, and nature at a leisurely pace, and whenever I visit, I always choose to stay at Novotel Nara. I highly recommend the Executive Floor for its cozy Executive Lounge. The rooftop terrace offers stunning views of Nara, the restaurant serves delicious breakfasts (and dinners are amazing too!), there’s a large public bath and massage chairs to relax after your travels, as well as a kids' room that children will adore. It’s truly a place where you can have an exceptional time. Looking forward to my next visit!

    It was excellent.

    This was my first time staying here. The property is new and very clean. The large public bath and accompanying facilities were well-maintained and excellent. Around 11 PM, I had trouble sleeping due to a noise coming from the duct in my room, so I called the front desk. They responded immediately, and while it couldn't be resolved on the spot, they kindly provided me with another room where I could sleep soundly. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Both the front desk staff and dining area staff were incredibly pleasant, efficient, and left a great impression. I would definitely like to stay here again!

    First Nara Visit

    I stayed here for my birthday. I was so happy to find a handwritten illustrated message card in the Room. I felt the warmth of all the staff members. The Room was very clean, and I had a wonderful day. I would love to stay here again.

    Stayed for one night...

    Stayed for one night with a Plan that included breakfast and access to the Executive Floor. The Hotel was clean, the Room had four bottles of water, and there was a large public bath. The Executive Floor was also lovely. However, it would have been perfect if the food on the Executive Floor and at breakfast were more delicious. Breakfast was underwhelming except for the fruits and salad. The frozen omelet and miso soup ingredients were not tasty—better to leave them out entirely. Please consider improving the food quality!

    One-night stay with children

    The Room was more spacious than expected, allowing us to enjoy the living area even after the children fell asleep in the bedroom. The staff's timing, attentiveness, and interactions were pleasant and well-balanced. However, the desserts at the lounge and restaurant for dinner and breakfast were mostly not homemade, which felt a bit lacking.

    It was great.

    There is a large public bath and a lounge available for use, making this price very reasonable. The Room was clean and even included loungewear and bathrobes, giving it a higher-class feel than a typical Business Hotel. Breakfast included tea porridge, Miwa somen noodles, and persimmon leaf sushi, which were all satisfying. The staff's hospitality was polite and left a good impression. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

    Great value for money with no complaints.

    Stayed over the weekend with 4 people in 3 rooms, including a double room and a Japanese-Western style room. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish. The towels were thick, the beds were large with soft mattresses, ensuring a good night's sleep. There was also a large public bath, and the staff provided excellent service. Breakfast was a buffet featuring plenty of local ingredients and was delicious. Considering the price for this quality of accommodation, it was extremely satisfying. I would love to stay here again when visiting Nara.

    I want to make this my regular accommodation in Nara.

    I stayed with the Executive Twin breakfast-included plan. It seemed that about 90% of the guests were from overseas. The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities appeared to minimize plastic use, with wooden toothbrushes and complimentary mineral water in glass bottles. There was a Nespresso coffee machine, and usage instructions could be accessed by scanning a QR code on the machine itself. I used the public bath, which had excellent security measures providing peace of mind; however, it might be slightly confusing for older guests due to its complexity. When I forgot my cleansing oil and asked at the front desk to purchase one, a staff member kindly informed me that it was available in the public bath area, saving me from having to buy one—much appreciated! The Executive Lounge and rooftop bar had a great atmosphere where I could relax leisurely. Breakfast offered sufficient variety and quantity; everything tasted good and was enjoyable. Although there is some walking distance to convenience stores, Shin-Omiya Station is nearby for added convenience. Additionally, there are several dining options around—including Bib Gourmand-certified izakayas—so even without a dinner plan included, finding meals wasn’t an issue at all. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Nara!

    Cost-effective Hotel

    The bathroom and toilet are separate, and the amenities are satisfactory. The professional service provided by the staff was particularly impressive. One minor concern was that the room floor seemed slightly less clean than expected. I stayed for two nights, so it might have been a coincidence. However, considering the price, the hotel's facilities, amenities, and services were excellent and very satisfying. I would like to make this my regular accommodation when visiting Nara.

    A wonderful Hotel full of hospitality

    We arrived by car and were immediately impressed by the genuinely kind assistance of the parking staff. Visiting a new place can be a bit nerve-wracking, even for adults, but their warm and cheerful greeting instantly put us at ease. Without any hesitation, they swiftly carried our heaviest suitcase with ease, making sure we didn’t have to worry about anything. My husband and I often travel by car, but such thoughtful service is rare even at hotels or ryokans. My husband, tired from the long drive, was especially grateful. From the very first interaction, their kindness truly stood out—thank you so much. The front desk staff also provided warm hospitality that helped us relax after our journey. Their sincere smiles and dedication to their work left a lasting impression on us. We could truly feel the wonderful hospitality of this hotel. The room was compact yet functional and very user-friendly—perfectly satisfying for our stay. Above all else, it was impeccably clean and allowed us to enjoy a comfortable experience in a spotless environment. The disposable original room slippers had an adorable design as well. Breakfast exceeded expectations for its price point—it was more than satisfying! Featuring local specialties from Nara along with fresh vegetables and other delicious options ensured variety that would likely keep guests happy even during multiple night stays. The bright greetings from staff in the morning paired with their attentive service gave us energy to start each day positively. Although we didn’t use the communal bath this time around, we’re already looking forward to staying here again for multiple nights as a base while exploring Nara more leisurely next time—it’s just that comfortable of a hotel! Lastly, we sincerely wish Novotel Nara continued success along with health and happiness for all its staff members. Thank you once again for such an enjoyable stay—we look forward to visiting again in the future!

    First time at Novotel

    This was my first stay at Novotel in Nara. The reviews were good, but I was a bit skeptical as high expectations can sometimes lead to disappointment (laughs). However, the result exceeded my expectations! The interior, furniture, and amenities were all stylish and wonderful—I was very satisfied. I especially loved the variety of chairs; each one looked great and was incredibly comfortable to sit on! The meals were also delightful, with a healthy touch that I appreciated. Additionally, the club floor provided a relaxing space where I could unwind at ease. Next time I visit Nara, I will definitely choose this accommodation again without hesitation!

    I have stayed at many accommodations before, but I felt that Novotel Nara had the best soundproofing. In particular, I was not bothered at all by indoor noises from upper and lower rooms, footsteps or conversations in the hallway while staying in my room, making my stay very comfortable.

    Affordable

    New and compact, yet offers a calm and relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the large public bath was great. However, it is slightly away from the city center. There are buses that go around Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station, but they run infrequently, so we couldn't use them this time. It takes about 12-13 minutes to walk to Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station. Since it's not close to a station, it's recommended to plan your trip carefully if you're sightseeing. I'm not very good at planning ahead, so I found it a bit inconvenient in that regard. Other than that, considering the price, it's perfect!

    A Big Win After a Long Time!

    Separate bath and toilet, preferably with a bathing area, specified for the reservation. Since my usual chain hotel in Nara was fully booked, I decided to stay here, a place I had been curious about for some time. The result was fantastic! From what I observed at the breakfast venue, it seemed there were more foreign guests than Japanese ones. The breakfast offered a variety of Japanese dishes reflecting local Nara cuisine and was more than satisfactory. I initially reserved a slightly cheaper room with just a shower booth but was upgraded to one with a bathing area. Being able to relax in the bath in my room helped ease my tired body—thank you very much! Many staff members appeared to be from overseas but spoke fluent Japanese, which made me feel at ease. It felt like staying at an international hotel abroad! Unlike typical business hotels that have convenience stores attached, this one does not—something to keep in mind. However, this absence added to the feeling of being overseas. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. Highly recommended without any complaints!

    This is my second stay...

    I stayed for a multiple night stay to explore Nara. This was my second stay at Novotel, as I had a great experience during my first visit shortly after its opening last year. I didn’t notice at the time of reservation, but the shuttle service to the nearest station now only operates on weekends. While it’s an 8-minute walk to Shin-Omiya Station, which is somewhat inconvenient, there are shuttle services to Yamato-Saidaiji Station and JR Nara Station, so I appreciated not having to drag my suitcase around—this was a positive point for me before, so it’s disappointing that this has changed. The revision of operations happened quite quickly... Due to this change, I’ve deducted points from customer service ratings. The public bath and room cleaning were still excellent as before. Additionally, it would be nice if more souvenir items could be added in the lobby shop space. Overall, it was a comfortable stay!

    Making a long-awaited return to Novotel Japan since The Yokohama.

    The unforgettable design of Hotel COJIMA, which became Sofitel Tokyo in Ueno, was my first encounter with Accor. While Mercure has been rebranded across Japan, Novotel remains only in Nara. Since one of my multiple night stays in Nara was at a domestic hotel, I decided to experience Novotel and stayed here. The staff member who handled my check-in wore a French language badge—very fitting! If approaching from JR Nara Station, the shuttle bus is convenient even during busy periods when taxis are hard to find (such as during popular exhibitions attracting many tourists). My room did not have a bathtub but featured a compact design; however, the large public bath made up for it if you have time to enjoy it. (The wellness-themed floor with the public bath could be utilized more effectively.) I was surprised that instead of the usual tablet for gathering information in the room, there was a smart mirror—though fingerprints were inevitable! For meals, I only had breakfast. It included local specialties like persimmon leaf sushi—a nice touch of regional flavor. Due to high demand during peak season, there were long lines; providing lounge access for guests on eligible floors would improve this experience. The rooftop connected to the lounge was comfortable and offers views of riverside cherry blossoms depending on the season. I wanted to use the ¥3,000 opening commemorative plan ticket at the gift shop but couldn’t because my desired item was out of stock and display items weren’t available either—hence my satisfaction rating is four stars. Incidentally, I missed out on an original Novotel strap that’s exclusive here—it’s truly unfortunate!

    This was my first stay. Although I arrived about an hour earlier than the check-in time, I was warmly accommodated. The breakfast service showed great attention to detail and was very satisfying. For example, the plastic film on the natto was removed, tomato stems were taken off, and oranges were peeled for easier eating. The staff were also very polite and attentive. However, the variety of food in the lounge during both tea time and evening was somewhat limited, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, although this is not the hotel's fault, there were guests occupying the same seats from 3 PM until late at night, which felt slightly uncomfortable. The room itself was clean and compactly designed as expected from a new accommodation facility. I would love to visit again if I have another opportunity!

    Highly recommended.

    This was my first stay, and I was completely satisfied with everything. The room's interior matched my taste perfectly. The wallpaper color was nice, and the clean, uncluttered design left a refreshing impression. I loved that you could take a dedicated elevator to the large public bath while wearing loungewear and indoor slippers. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I ended up eating too much. There were many international guests, and their manners created such a pleasant atmosphere that even we Japanese could learn from them—it made for a very relaxing experience. The hotel's location is convenient for sightseeing as there are many city buses running nearby. It's also within reasonable walking distance to the Kintetsu station. On weekends, there’s even a shuttle bus service available. Nearby amenities include Tsutaya Bookstore, convenience stores, and Starbucks—very convenient! I visit Nara every two months because it’s one of my favorite places to go. From now on, I definitely plan to stay here again while exploring Nara!

    Stayed for the third time to celebrate my daughter's birthday, feeling like a girls' gathering. The breakfast was delicious, and the rearrangement of the ice cream section helped avoid congestion. However, it was a bit disappointing that there were no pizzas or meat dishes that day. Additionally, the ReFa shampoo and conditioner in the large bath were replaced with the hotel's original ones found in the room, and shuttle bus service on Fridays had been discontinued. There is a convenient local bus near the hotel, which can be reassuring to use instead. The hotel is new, clean, and perfect for sightseeing in Nara. Thank you for the birthday message card! I would love to stay again and relax more next time.

    A new Hotel with a simple design

    The building is relatively new and very clean. The food and sweets in the lounge were delicious. There is a wide variety of drinks, including both alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, which can be enjoyed. The atmosphere was pleasant, allowing for a relaxing stay. The bath is not very spacious, so it can get crowded depending on the time. There were quite a few international guests as well. The Room facilities are well-equipped, giving a fresh feeling. However, there are almost no amenities provided, so it's recommended to bring your own cosmetics and other necessities. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, including Kaki-no-ha sushi (persimmon leaf sushi), which was delicious. A river flows nearby with beautiful cherry blossoms in bloom during our visit—an added bonus to the experience! Since it’s located slightly away from Nara Station, planning your travel itinerary carefully is recommended for convenience.

    Review of Jr. Suite Accommodation

    We stayed in a Jr. Suite Room for two nights as a family of three during Golden Week. The room was fairly spacious, clean, and satisfactory. Regarding meals, perhaps due to the Golden Week period, it was very crowded and the taste was not exceptional. Since there are many restaurants around the Hotel, we recommend dining outside.

    Excellent Facility and Dedicated Service

    We stay here several times a year with a large group (4 families, 8 adults, and 7 children), using 4 rooms. Each time, there is some commotion due to the large number of people, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to the hotel staff. Thanks to the thorough training of the employees, their response during various incidents is always excellent. The impact on other guests from our group's movements is kept to a minimum as well. We are always grateful for your hospitality. Thank you very much!
