Since it was new, I ...

Since it was new, I was able to spend time comfortably in a clean Room. However, I wanted to have a light dinner, but the restaurant only offered a buffet, so I reluctantly ordered delivery from the smart mirror (which is interesting). The only food available was pizza, so I ordered it, but I couldn't confirm if the order was properly placed, and even after waiting for over an hour, the pizza didn't arrive. When I called the restaurant, no one answered. After calling the front desk and waiting for several more minutes, the pizza finally arrived. I would like to be informed of the confirmation and the estimated time when placing an order. I was satisfied with the breakfast. I thought it would be nice to have an instruction manual as I didn't know how to use the coffee machine.

    Polite explanation

There was a polite explanation upon arrival, and the Room was prepared as requested, allowing us to spend all three nights comfortably. The gym and bath (large public bath) are somewhat small, but they have the necessary Facilities, contributing to health management. The breakfast is sufficient, but it was unfortunate that the coffee and tea corner was dark, making it difficult to discern the types of tea. I would like to stay again next time.

A perfect Hotel for the newly established tourist hub in Nara.

Stayed alone for a business trip. I stay at hotels and ryokans about 60 nights a year for business trips and family vacations. - Location: About a 6-minute walk from Shin-Omiya Station. There seems to be a shuttle service, but I wasn't sure where to catch it, so I walked. It's easily walkable. - Room: Stayed in a room larger than the other Superior Twin rooms. The bathroom had a bathtub and a washing area, a separate toilet, and a stylish sink. I thought it was a comfortable room for both families and couples. - Facility: It's very stylish. I liked the relaxation space in front of the large public bath, which had massage chairs and a space to relax. The lighting right at the entrance (like a lantern) was impressive, and I was surprised to see the color change at night. - Customer Service: Some staff were a bit awkward. Since it just opened, there might be some inexperienced staff, but overall it was good. Check-in and check-out were smooth. - Breakfast: It's a buffet. The impression was that they focused more on quality than quantity. Occasionally, I noticed ingredients from Nara, which showed the hotel's commitment. A simple explanation of the dishes might have made them taste even better. The white rice was particularly excellent. - Satisfaction: I didn't use all the facilities, but there seems to be a lounge as well. When traveling to Kansai, many hotels and ryokans offer Japanese cuisine, so the Italian-based meals were refreshing. For a multiple night stay, it seems balanced to eat Japanese food in Kyoto and stay here in Nara. It's a wonderful hotel that I would like to use again when I come to Kansai with my family next time.

    Large public bath water

Due to the large number of users in the large public bath, the water in the washing area only trickled out, which was inconvenient. My wife said it was the same in the women's bath.

    Nightwear & Bathrobe

Stayed for two nights This is an addition as I forgot to write it in the review for the first day The bathrobes were generally quite heavy cotton ones (at other hotels), but here they were fluffy, light, and gentle on the skin, and the wearing comfort, including the separate pajamas, was good There is no shuttle bus from Tuesday to Thursday, and there are no taxis stationed. I don't think the ¥100 Gurutto Bus (Nara City Hall front, Marriott right away) was running in the 9:00 hour. I had no choice but to pull my heavy carry-on and walk to Shin-Omiya Station. The sidewalk was somehow paved like a gravel road, making it difficult to pull the carry-on, so I walked on the road closer to the station from the main road. This way was much smoother and easier! At Shin-Omiya Station, for the Nara direction, you cross the railroad crossing to the ticket gate. For the Yamato-Saidaiji direction, you enter from the ticket gate before the crossing. (This is not directly related to the hotel, but for your reference)

    Grand Opening Price!

I made a reservation before the opening, and with the bad reviews in September, I considered canceling the stay... but in the end, I stayed for two nights due to the low price. Upon entering, I thought there might be likes and dislikes, but the scent was strong. I gradually got used to it. The service in the executive lounge is shorter for both tea time and cocktail time compared to other hotels I've used. They do serve draft beer and cocktails (about five types, if I remember correctly). The snacks are scarce (tears). The books available are for outbound travelers. The large public bath has a strong chlorine smell, and the water pressure is low. I think you had to bring your own towels? Breakfast had a long line until around 8:30. Moreover, the placement of items was questionable. I wanted to put dried bonito and wasabi soy sauce on my rice, but the rice was at the end of the line, making it impossible to eat that way. The juice was divided into three or four places, and I thought the only cold drink was milk. There were no trays, so I had to line up again in the long queue (sigh). I wish the drinks, coffee, and desserts were set up in different places. I stayed for two nights, but the offerings were exactly the same. On top of that, on the second day, I requested an individual round table but was refused, and as a solo diner, I was made to eat directly across from a stranger at a long table. A pair who came right after me got a round table, making me feel that solo guests were treated poorly. A shuttle bus was introduced, but it was almost meaningless on weekdays (I could use it on Monday, but it was only one per hour). I wish the stops were at Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station instead of Yamato-Saidaiji, and that it could be used on weekdays as well. From my perspective, there are still many points that need improvement. I am grateful for changing my room from a double to a twin (for the view and sofa preference). Overall, I felt the staff were working very hard. The cost performance this time wasn't bad, but it will probably be difficult to repeat unless there are improvements. I apologize for the harsh review.

    Stayed for 4 nights

The nearest station is Shin-Omiya, so I thought it might be inconvenient for sightseeing, but there is a free shuttle bus available on weekends, which is convenient. It would be even more convenient if there were weekday and early morning services. The room was comfortable, and I was able to relax. Breakfast was substantial, with plenty of salads and fruits. I was disappointed that the bagels I was looking forward to never appeared. For dinner, the pizza and pasta were delicious. I had dinner for two days, but there was quite a difference in the pasta, even though it was the same dish (sea urchin pasta). Perhaps it's a difference in skill. Overall, the menu seems to be aimed at young people and may not be suitable for multiple night stay guests. The service from the Japanese staff was excellent.

    High level of satisfaction

I stayed for two nights. Since it is newly built, it was very clean, and the staff's smiles were pleasant, making it a very enjoyable stay. As it is a hotel catering to inbound guests, some staff members are not proficient in Japanese, but they are pleasant and can communicate as needed, so there is no problem. I was able to relax in the executive lounge, and it was perfect for a drink before dinner. The initial reviews at the time of opening were quite concerning, but it seems to have improved, and the taste of the snacks was good, with no complaints about the variety. Considering the cost performance, I thought the meals were a bit lacking compared to other hotels that are making an effort, but I had no particular complaints (though it's hard to say it was excellent!). When alone, I was first seated at a large table, which was a bit disappointing. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but there was a man sitting diagonally in front of me who didn't eat neatly, which wasn't pleasant. If others are to be seated diagonally, I think the table should be larger vertically. Since the room had a bathtub, I didn't use the large public bath, but I did use the massage machine in the wellness lounge, which helped relieve my tired body. It was a good hotel that I could recommend to friends and family. I would like to visit again.

Since it has just opened, it might be understandable, but there are too many things the staff doesn't know. Moreover, they often end the conversation with "I don't know." It would be appreciated if they could ask a knowledgeable staff member or bring someone who knows.

It was a wonderful Hotel with high quality!

I used it for a solo trip to Nara. I was grateful and impressed to be provided with a spacious twin room that was almost too large for one person. The room had a bath with a washing area, a separate washbasin, and a toilet. I immediately went to the large public bath for relaxation. After bathing, I felt extremely relaxed in the massage chair. The sofa in the room allowed me to lie down, and I enjoyed coffee while looking at the river outside the window. The bed was moderately firm, allowing me to sleep comfortably. The breakfast didn't have a wide variety, but everything was high quality and delicious. I was satisfied with the delicious and hearty meal. It was a wonderful Hotel with a French sensibility, typical of Novotel. I would like to use it again when I come to Nara.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

I usually stayed at the neighboring Hotel, but I made a Reservation here after learning there is also a lounge. The service, the lounge atmosphere, and the rooftop bar were all excellent. They keep things simple, but everything you need is well provided. It was interesting that you can check how busy it is using the mirrors, and I had never seen a soup machine before—there were some new touches you don’t find elsewhere. In the lounge, the manager and GM personally served guests and provided wonderful, attentive service. I plan to visit Nara again when it gets warmer, so I’d like to stay here again.

    Comfortable Hotel

I visited here for sightseeing at the Heijokyu Palace site... However, the access was not great, so having a rental bicycle would have been perfect. (Since there were no cruising taxis in Nara, and the fares had increased) The customer service was excellent. The foreign staff also provided service with the Japanese spirit of hospitality, which was very pleasant. I was satisfied with the amenities except for the toothbrush being too large. The large public bath was also well-cleaned. Ideally, having a hairbrush would have been perfect. (There was one in the guest room.) The breakfast buffet had a variety that didn't get boring even for a two-night stay and was delicious. It was a hotel where I could stay comfortably and securely.

    Family Trip

After sightseeing in Nara, take the Nara bus from Nara Station to the nearest Nara City Hall and arrive in about a 2-minute walk. The Room had a new smell, but it wasn't unpleasant and I got used to it quickly. It was more spacious than a normal Business Hotel, so it was comfortable and relaxing. The sofa was a type that you could lie down on, which was a first for me, but it was so comfortable that I wanted one for my home. The Room had a bathtub, and although it was a bit small, the water pressure was strong, and it was nice to fill it up for a bath. I also went to the large public bath, but I found the shower's water pressure and temperature a bit lacking. I spent the night watching my favorite YouTube on the large-screen TV. The washroom and Room were separated by a sliding door. It was nice as it created a sense of openness and spaciousness. Breakfast had a good variety of Japanese and Western options, and I was happy to try the persimmon leaf sushi that I had wanted to taste. Perhaps because it was a weekday, the age group was older, and I could enjoy a quiet meal, making it a great value for the price. While Novotel and Accor Group Hotels are common overseas, they might not be very familiar in Japan. However, Novotel Nara was wonderful, so I recommend it.

Regarding the response of the lounge staff

I stayed at Novotel for the first time and used the lounge. When I asked the staff at the counter if they had sparkling wine, they said no, so I ordered a cocktail instead. On my way out, I discovered wine and sparkling wine placed in another area. I thought the response was a bit indifferent, as I could have enjoyed it if they had informed me at the time.

Apart from the meals, it is a wonderful Hotel.

New, well-equipped, and overall comfortable. The service at the executive lounge was also good. The room and amenities were satisfactory. The large public bath was average. Access from the station was not good, and it seemed that calling a taxi for the return trip was not always smooth. The issue is the meals. Dinner had nothing delicious and few options, and I was surprised to hear it costs 6,600 yen on its own. The freshly baked pizza barely passed. The wine was in small quantities and reasonably priced, but the taste was questionable. The wine service at the executive lounge tasted better. Breakfast felt like a training camp. The cooking station was small, and the layout was poor, creating a noisy situation that did not match the hotel's atmosphere. Again, there were few options, and nothing seemed delicious. However, due to the long lines, I didn't feel like lining up a second time, so I didn't get to taste all the dishes. It was also an IKYU service plan, and considering the price, it was a satisfying hotel overall, excluding the meals. Thank you.

    I was able to relax.

It was an open price, so I was able to stay at a rate comparable to a Business Hotel. It was nice to be able to choose whether or not to have a bathtub. Although the room with a bathtub was small, it was helpful to have a washing area. I didn't use the dining service, so I'm not sure about it, but the Room had a calm atmosphere, and I wasn't bothered by noise from other rooms, so I could relax. There are no skincare products, so if you need them, you can buy them at the Hotel for 500 yen or bring your own. I arrived about an hour earlier than the check-in time, but they allowed me to check in. Next time, I would like to try the dining service as well.

    It is a beautiful Hotel.

It was a very beautiful newly built Hotel. The service wasn't bad, but I think they are not used to it yet. The staff at the front desk were not very skilled in their response/guidance. It was particularly disappointing that the guidance on matters that seemed to be FAQs was insufficient. I would appreciate it if they could inform us in advance about the times when the restaurant tends to be crowded. Breakfast was very crowded at certain times, and my honest opinion is that if it gets this crowded, it would be nice if we could have it in the executive lounge (even with fewer items or not as a buffet). I think the cause of the congestion might also be due to the buffet layout. I wonder if the rooftop terrace could be utilized a bit more effectively. It ended up being a stay with a strong sense of missed potential.

Setting up Wi-Fi is troublesome. Too many people.

I stayed at your Hotel as a pre-stay for a memorial service held on November 3rd at the Kashiwara Sacred Place in Osaka. I used the multi-story parking lot, but it was narrow and took time to get in and out. The Room was on the 9th floor, but the coffee machine was difficult to use, and everything seemed to be designed in a quirky way, like a ninja house. When setting up the Wi-Fi, I had to input various things, and I didn't want my personal information to be leaked, so I didn't connect in the end. Since it was a foreign-owned Hotel, the shampoo had a strong smell and didn't suit me. It was the middle of a holiday, so there were a lot of people. I didn't use the large public bath, but my husband said it was the first time he had seen the men's bath so crowded. The massage chairs were occupied by older ladies, and they were sleeping there. Just hearing that made me dislike it, so I ended up using the bath in the Room. The lounge on the 8th floor had a limited selection of items and few drink options (maybe because I went late...). The breakfast was announced to start at 7:00, but I went to the restaurant around 6:50, prepared to wait a little, and several people were already having their meals. I wish the guidance had been a bit clearer. Thank you very much.

    Wi-Fi connection is unstable.

It is clean, partly because it is newly opened. The design of the Room is efficient without any waste. The breakfast menu is just right for me, not too much and not too little. The lounge available for executives doesn't have an overwhelming menu, but considering the Room price, it is reasonable. You can feel the Hotel's spirit of being eco-conscious, like having bottled mineral water. However, the Wi-Fi doesn't connect. The water pressure in the large public bath is low. The shuttle bus does not operate daily. Can these three points be improved? I hope for improvements.

    I was looking forwar...

I was looking forward to visiting the newly opened Hotel. The outdoor parking guide was too small to understand, and I went around twice. I thought I could park in the multi-story parking, so if I had been guided to Mitsui's Repark first, I wouldn't have had to take a detour. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of my stay, and I couldn't use the rooftop bar at all, which was disappointing. The executive lounge was relaxing, but the variety of snacks and drinks was somewhat limited. The Room was new and easy to use. I felt it was inconvenient that there was no bucket in the bathroom, but I got used to it quickly. The large public bath was also clean, and I could take my time. On the 2nd floor, the exit was hard to find, and I saw several people getting lost. At night, there was an Italian buffet, and the sea urchin pasta, shiitake mushroom pizza, and Yamato vegetable pizza were exquisite. I think the breakfast menu was adequate. Both at night and in the morning, there were various menus using local ingredients, which I enjoyed. In the morning, I took a walk along the river after the rain, and I think the cherry blossom trees will be beautiful in spring, so I would like to visit then.

The large public bath was terrible.

The four worst points. 1. The drain in the public bath was clogged, and about 3 centimeters of water accumulated at my feet while using the shower. Even considering the busy time past 9 PM, it was the first time I encountered such a clogged Hotel. Moreover, the staff left just as I entered... Everyone was disappointed and left the bath without even entering the tub. I believe some chose this Hotel because it had a public bath. This is... unacceptable. 2. The bath manners of foreign guests were extremely poor. However, there were no signs indicating proper manners. I think this is inevitable. Some even rode the elevator with just a bath towel. 3. At the entrance of the public bath, I marked my slippers to identify them, but someone else took them. I wish there was a bit more ingenuity. 4. I used the rooftop bar. Since I didn't use the lounge this time, I charged only the drink fee to the Room and signed. As I was about to take the elevator, another staff member came running from the lounge with great force, stopped me loudly, and frowned, preventing me from returning to my Room. I wondered why, as I had already paid, but for some reason, I was taken back to the lounge and made to sign again. Despite following the staff's instructions, I felt like I was being scolded, it took up my time, and without much apology, I felt terrible. It was sad. The response from the male staff at check-in was excellent, and I felt it would be a good stay, but it was disappointing. Overall, I felt there might be a shortage of staff. The Room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and easy to stay in. I hope for improvements.

    Looking forward to the future

Since it has just opened, I am looking forward to future improvements. Here are some disappointing points for now. - The bedside charging cable port was type C. I only had an A→C cable, so I was troubled. - You can view hotel information, etc., on the TV in front of the bed, but for really desired information like congestion status, you have to get out of bed and go to the smart mirror next to the door. This was quite inconvenient. - The public bath itself is good, but the shower water pressure quickly weakens. When you start running water into the bathtub, it becomes extremely weak, which was troublesome. Also, the dust on the air intake of the hairdryer was significant. - The breakfast buffet had poor arrangement of dishes, tableware, and drinks, quickly leading to congestion. Despite this, drinks were placed separately in a half-hearted manner, which was also inconvenient. Perhaps to alleviate congestion, a certain amount of the buffet was set up at the bar counter, but with no explanation, no one went there. Only when I asked was I told, "There is also preparation over there." There was bread but only one toaster on the main table, so I couldn't toast. There was a long line waiting for that one toaster. They should toast the bread in their proud pizza oven and serve it. The foreign staff at the front desk provided very polite service, but the Japanese staff at the restaurant left a disappointing impression (also during dinner). Some points I was disappointed about after reading and hearing various things before going were improved, so I hope the changeable aspects will change in the future. Considering the environment, amenities are minimal (you can bring what you need), and there is an executive lounge, which is rare in Nara. If you can grasp the characteristics well, I think it is a hotel where you can spend a very comfortable time.
