    The lounge atmosphere is nice, but...

    It would be great if the food and drink menu in the lounge could be a bit more extensive.

    A clean Hotel

    As it’s more than a 5-minute walk from the station, you’ll need to take a taxi (about 1,100 yen one way) or the shuttle bus (a 3-minute walk from the nearest bus stop). As soon as I entered the entrance, there was an overpowering oriental musk-like scent, and I started to feel quite nauseous during check-in. Since it’s a new Hotel, the Room is clean and modern. Right after entering, you can view information about the facilities on a touch panel built into the mirror. One issue in the Room was that the toilet door opens outward right next to the sink, so my companion and I almost bumped into each other several times. Also, there was no chair near any of the mirrors (the sink area or touch panel), so I had to use the hair dryer and do my makeup standing up, which was quite inconvenient. The corridor leading to the large public bath was very dark and briefly hard to find. On the way there were fitness equipment and massage chairs, which felt nice for relaxing however you like. I was tired from walking, so it was great to be able to stretch out and soak in the large public bath. What stood out: the bath water smelled a bit strongly of chlorine, and some of the showers had weak water pressure. The dinner buffet was all delicious—especially the freshly boiled pasta and pizza made after ordering; they were excellent. Breakfast had a different menu from dinner, which I also enjoyed. My Plan included lounge access, so before last order I went up to check out the rooftop terrace. Although several staff members were present, perhaps because it was cold outside they were chatting inside and didn’t come out at all. A large group just sat drinking wrapped in blankets; even when one staff member came over because that group called them over to take orders, they ignored me without saying anything, which made me wonder whether this Hotel really considers its lounge & terrace one of its highlights despite posting such nice photos of it. Check-out was very smooth; since I had already paid at check-in, I only needed to hand my key card back to staff. Also, since there wasn’t a convenient bus at that time, I asked about getting a taxi. They arranged one promptly and even carried my suitcase into it for me—it helped a lot. I truly appreciated their thoughtful service. Lastly—and this is what still concerns me—if your concept is “experience Nara with all five senses,” I think it would have been better if instead of that distinctive foreign-brand fragrance there had been a refreshing or traditional Japanese scent.

    Hotel where you can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine

    We visited the Shosoin Exhibition and stayed in two rooms for six people, including two young children. Since it is a new hotel, both the guest rooms and other facilities were clean and comfortable. The large bath area had a kids' room and massage chairs, which made it relaxing. The selection of picture books in the kids' room was excellent, and both the 2-year-old and 5-year-old enjoyed them. What I want to rate the highest is the fusion of authentic Italian and Japanese cuisine, even though both dinner and breakfast were buffets. The freshly baked pizza and pasta were served. The replenishment after items ran out, as mentioned in the reviews, was perfect. The meat dishes, carpaccio, and fritters were delicious. The vegetable and fruit smoothies, corn soup, and miso soup with plenty of root vegetables for breakfast were also exquisite. It was a good decision to choose the plan with breakfast and dinner included. We definitely want to use it again. Thank you very much.

    Stylish Hotel

    The new hotel had a very comfortable atrium at the entrance. It is a very good hotel, but there was one disappointing thing. The bath. I used the large public bath, and although the cleaning staff was there for nearly two hours, I was surprised that they never entered once. There were about 10 individual booths, but they were all full, and the water was clogged, making the floor dirty, which was terrible. I was also concerned that the shower water pressure wasn't very strong, and I thought the water areas needed to be checked frequently. The hairdryer was always in use during the time I used it, and there was a lot of hair on the floor, so I cleaned it before using it. Used towels and trash bins were left full, which made me feel very uncomfortable. It's a new hotel, very clean, and the staff is kind, so it's a shame. I hope it will be improved urgently.

    Comfortable Room

    Since it was a suite, I was able to spend my time comfortably in a spacious room. I was thrilled with the fluffy bathrobe! I usually get nervous about switching between the hand shower and the rain shower, but this time it was a type with a switch button, so I felt at ease. To go to the large public bath, you can go with a basket bag and slippers, and there was also a shuttle bus, so I think it's great that improvements are being made to make it more convenient. You can enjoy draft beer in the club lounge, but other than that, it feels a bit lonely at any time. However, I thought that's probably the intended setup.

    Newly Opened Hotel

    It was a beautiful and wonderful Hotel that just opened in September. However, it was a bit disappointing that many of the restaurant staff seemed to be new and didn't notice when we were trying to call them. Overall, I am very satisfied.

    I was able to relax.

    The review had quite harsh comments, but it was not like that at all. The main points were ① check-in congestion, ② slow response, and ③ poor guidance, but my impression was ① it was a bit cumbersome, but not something to get angry about, ② didn't feel it at all, and ③ nothing in particular. I think it's somewhat unavoidable because it's newly opened, and everyone was very kind. The room was spacious, and I could relax in the bath. One thing I would like to see improved is the use of the large public bath. It says room wear and slippers are not allowed, but I would like the elevator on the back side to be for guests only so that we can move more comfortably. I plan to stay again, so please consider this.

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights as a family of four. We had four beds set up in the Junior Suite Room, so the room became a bit cramped, but we enjoyed spending time together in the same room. We made use of the roof terrace and delivery service, and fully enjoyed our evening drinks. The large public bath was also very pleasant. It's new and very clean, so I recommend it.

    A wonderful Hotel makes your trip enjoyable!

    The thoughtfulness of the staff is wonderful. They immediately notice and greet you at check-in. The Room is a twin and 25 square meters, but with an open closet and other clever touches, it felt spacious. We had meals in the morning and evening, and they incorporated elements unique to Nara, which were delicious. The lounge on the 8th floor was enjoyable during tea time, and the cocktail time service was excellent. The cassis orange cocktail, made one by one, was impressively delicious. It was a Hotel where you can spend a relaxing and pleasant time, making you want to visit again.

    It is a comfortable Hotel, but

    I decided to try it out because it is a brand of the global hotel chain, Accor Group. The interior is very similar to the Pullman Hotel in Tamachi. Although the room only had a shower booth, there is a large public bath here. You can go to the public bath in room wear (not allowed in restaurants, etc.). I was pleased with the stylish workspace and rooftop bar (couldn't use it because it was raining...), and the large room TV where you can watch YouTube and more, which made for a pleasant stay. However, since the breakfast at the Pullman Hotel was excellent, I wish they could improve both the quality and quantity a bit more. I understood why the meal reviews on IKYU were low. Also, with newly opened hotels, it's common for staff to not be familiar with the system and for troubles to occur. I thought it would be fine since it's been quite a while since the opening, but after checking in, the room key I was given didn't work in the elevator... I couldn't get to the room. They replaced it for me, but this was a first for me.

    A Hotel I Want to Stay Again!

    I chose to stay at this new hotel that just opened. I was a bit worried after reading the reviews, but the staff was kind, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. However, I felt it was a bit far from the station, and since there are no convenience stores nearby and the vending machines in the hotel have limited options, it might be better to prepare and bring what you need in advance. This time, I stayed in a room with access to the executive lounge, so I was satisfied with the coffee and alcohol available. I was a bit confused about how to use the room facilities (like the coffee machine), so having a manual would be helpful. The room was very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

    As expected of an international Hotel

    We were able to stay at a great value with breakfast included. The room was spacious and very clean! The bath on the 2nd floor was also large, and it was nice to be able to check the congestion status from the room. The breakfast was also very delicious. The staff's response was very polite and speedy with a smile. It was a hotel that was very satisfying in every aspect.

    I think it will be a good Hotel.

    Room: Clean, spacious, well-equipped with amenities, and provided a comfortable space. Service: Communication in Japanese was not smooth, and it took time to receive the room key. This might be partly due to the fact that the facility had just opened. I expect it will become smoother soon. Bath: The room only had a shower, but there was no problem. Facility: Being new, it was clean and comfortable. The parking fee of 1,500 yen feels too expensive compared to nearby coin parking. Meals: I think breakfast needs urgent improvement. The impression of my companions who had breakfast with me was, "We should have looked for a nearby café." The sushi rice of the local specialty, Nara's persimmon leaf sushi, seemed hard and as if it had been sitting for a while. Therefore, the satisfaction level was 4. There is no problem with the facility. The issues are on the soft side, so I think improvement is easy.

    The other day, when ...

    The other day, when my friend sprained their ankle before check-in, thank you very much for your warm hospitality. The Hotel was new and clean, and both the Room and the large public bath were relaxing and very nice. The moon from the roof balcony was also great! Next time, I will visit during the Omizutori festival. The cherry blossoms along the Saho River must be beautiful. Haha

    The desserts in the ...

    The desserts in the Executive Lounge were not too sweet and everyone enjoyed them! I would go just to eat them. The Room was also very clean and well-maintained, which was pleasant. However, it was unfortunate that I couldn't sleep well at night, possibly because the Room faced the main road. Next time, please give me a Room on the opposite side!

    A place away from the hustle and bustle

    The area around Nara Station is lively, but it's crowded and difficult to pass by people. This Hotel is located in a pleasantly quiet area. I used Novotel when I traveled overseas for work. It was nostalgically unchanged with its simplicity and functionality. It's been a month since the opening, and while there was a bit of a rush, the service was courteous. However, when I entered the Room, there was a crumpled cloth, seemingly used for cleaning, left on top of the refrigerator. (A bit surprising) There were also no indoor slippers, and when I called the front desk, no one answered. I ended up going down to the first floor to get them while taking a walk. It's 3.5 kilometers from the Hotel to Todai-ji Temple, so it's convenient to walk a few minutes to Shin-Omiya Station and take the Kintetsu train, which is just one stop to Nara Station.

    Newly Opened Hotel

    I stayed on September 4th and 5th. Since it was the opening day, the support staff were not familiar with the hotel operations, resulting in long queues at the front desk due to the extended check-in time. Overall, the staff communication was lacking in all aspects. However, the meals were enjoyable both at night and in the morning. I felt a new approach in the dishes using ingredients from Nara. Also, since it was early, there were explanations for each dish, which helped me understand the ingredients well. It was very informative. However, the inside of the large public bath was gritty and felt like sand, which was very disappointing. It seemed like it wasn't cleaned, and there were instances where the shampoo was missing, which was strange considering I was the first to enter. There were many odd issues, which was troubling.

    We used it for a wee...

    We used it for a weekend trip as a couple. I liked the interior of the lobby and restaurant, and it felt like an overseas hotel. And the new hotel feels nice. The room is simple but sufficient. The executive lounge on weekends can get crowded at times, but rooms with lounge access are recommended. Small cakes and snacks are enjoyable just to have. Breakfast includes standard items as well as Nara-specific menu items, and I enjoyed it in my own way. The staff provided pleasant service. I was worried due to reviews right after opening and tried not to expect much, but when you set aside the amount spent, there's no end to seeking hospitality and comfort. The cost performance was good, and I would like to stay at this hotel again if I have the chance.

    Everything is new and clean!

    Opened last month and reasonably priced, I stayed with breakfast included on the general floor this time. I arrived on foot from Shin-Omiya Station, and the concierge and front desk staff greeted me warmly, leaving a good impression! The foreign male staff member who assisted me, as mentioned in other comments, was a bit awkward, but his earnest effort to communicate clearly was reassuring! The breakfast staff the next morning also seemed to provide attentive service and care. The food included Nara's local dishes (pickles and persimmon leaf sushi) and persimmon jam, all beautifully arranged! When making iced lattes, there was no gum syrup, only dissolvable powdered sugar, which was mixed in the same container as regular sugar. If possible, I would appreciate it if they could be placed in separate containers (I was a bit confused). The guest room was a twin room with a bathtub, more than spacious enough for one person. The room wear was a separate type, making it easy to use. The large public bath was not too crowded during my visit, allowing for a quiet and comfortable experience. There were face towels in the changing room (no bath towels), so there's no need to bring them from the room. One point, I wanted to put ice in the glass in the room for a drink... The guide sheet I received at check-in mentioned ice machines on the 2nd or 9th floor, but there was no ice pail among the room amenities. I thought there might be paper cups next to the machine, so I went to the 9th floor (quite far from the elevator), but there were no containers, so I had to put ice directly into the glass. *Perhaps room service could bring an ice pail to the room?* I also checked the 2nd floor the next day, but couldn't find the ice machine or any guide... I hope this can be improved. The public space on the 2nd floor was empty and comfortable, perhaps because it was after the 11 a.m. checkout! The terrace seating was also perfect for the season and pleasant. It was surprising to see a workspace like a phone booth, often seen at stations. This time, I checked in late after work, so next time, I would like to stay on the club floor with more time to spare!

    I absolutely loved it!!

    It was my first time using it since it just opened, and I absolutely loved it!! Everything from the exterior to the interior was very clean, stylish, and had a luxurious feel, exceeding my expectations. The front desk service at check-in, which can be said to set the first impression, was excellent. The smile of the overseas male staff who immediately greeted us was wonderful, and the female staff who assisted us was also great. The Room had a great view, was very quiet, spacious, and it was convenient and interesting to be able to check the in-house announcements in the full-length mirror. Also, it was great to enjoy YouTube and Netflix on the large TV screen. Towels are provided in the large public bath, which is convenient, and the lounge of the large public bath and gym? was stylish. Although I didn't use it this time, there was a massage chair that seemed relaxing. The scent of the hand soap, shampoo, body soap, etc., was very much to my liking and soothing. The rooftop terrace had a beautiful night view, perfect for the upcoming season. Although the breakfast didn't seem to have a large variety, there were innovative items like strawberry dressing, and everything was delicious. The restaurant was bright and spacious, allowing for a relaxed breakfast, and the staff's service was excellent. Perhaps because it was a weekday, I was able to use the facilities smoothly without waiting at check-in or the breakfast venue. Everything from start to finish was wonderful, and I personally think it deserves an even higher rating. I will definitely use it again!!

    Since it opened rece...

    Since it opened recently, it is new and easy to use. Among them, the large public bath, which is unexpected for a foreign-affiliated hotel, and the massage chair were sufficient to soothe a tired body.     Perfect for solo travelers.

    I used it for a solo trip. The Room was spacious enough, and the simple interior was to my liking, which made me very satisfied.     The staff need more training.

    Despite there being one guest and three staff members at the counter during check-in, the wait time was long. Even when I made eye contact with staff who were not attending to guests, I was ignored. When they started to attend to a guest who arrived later, I mentioned that I had been waiting for a long time, to which they retorted, "I thought you were with the guest I was processing." This could have been resolved with a simple confirmation when we made eye contact. I stayed for three consecutive nights, and each day I was directed to a different parking spot, which was frustrating. Additionally, I was surprised that even when I made eye contact with staff upon returning to the hotel, there was no greeting. There should be rental umbrellas available for rainy outings. They might exist, but there was no offer. The quality of the hotel's room facilities, amenities, and cleaning is high, but all other interactions with the service staff were disappointing, and I strongly urge improvement. The fact that the hotel is newly opened is no excuse.

    I was satisfied!

    We stayed as a family of four. After reading the reviews, I became anxious and considered canceling at the last minute, but it was all unfounded. I'm really glad we decided to go. There might have been various issues when it first opened, but now it seems like there are quite professional staff members guiding the operations. Check-in, check-out, and meal services were very smooth. The room was clean and sophisticated. Although it was a bit far from the station and I wished there were more amenities (like makeup remover, toner, lotion, and face wash), I had no other complaints. I would love to stay again! It became a wonderful memory, thank you very much.

    A bit disappointing feeling

    The hotel was very clean and stylish, and we were able to spend our time comfortably in the room. However, the service was... The staff's responses varied, and even though we had made a reservation before the opening and had 3,000 yen vouchers each for use within the hotel, there were few places for us to use them since we don't drink alcohol, and we ended up leaving with 4,000 yen unused. I came back feeling disappointed, thinking it would have been better if we had asked a staff member who could explain things properly from the beginning.

    The dinner was delicious.

    Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. There were dishes using strawberries, mandarins, persimmons, and blueberries, which seemed to appeal to women. I particularly liked the persimmon leaf French toast for breakfast and the DIY persimmon jam monaka for dinner. The rooftop terrace looked nice, so I wanted to go up and see it, but I was told that only executive floor guests could access it outside of the rooftop bar's operating hours. When I inquired in detail about using the bar outside of the executive lounge's tea time and cocktail time, which seemed to have many executive floor guests, I was informed that even executive floor guests are asked not to take food and drinks from the lounge to the rooftop terrace. Reviews and social media posts show executive floor guests drinking and eating on the rooftop terrace, so which is the truth?

    One month since opening

    I used the facility as a local resident since it opened in April. Looking at the reviews from when it first opened, there seemed to be quite a few complaints, possibly due to the large number of guests, with issues at check-in and the restaurant. So, I was a bit anxious, but it seems that after a month since opening, the staff have gotten used to things and were handling everything with ease. There was no waiting at check-in, no lines at the restaurant, and I had a comfortable stay. The smart mirror in the room is a touch panel that provides various information, including the crowd status of the large public bath. The rest area near the large public bath is stylishly designed, and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast is designed like a lounge. There is also a terrace with a great view on the 8th floor, but it was raining on the day we stayed, which was disappointing. The Saho River flows to the east of the hotel, and it will surely offer a splendid view during the cherry blossom season in spring. My wife's comment: Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our stay and the next day. We couldn't use the rooftop terrace, but after dinner, we were able to enjoy the view from the large single-pane window while lying on the bed in our room on the executive floor on the 8th floor.

    New and beautiful Hotel

    It was a Multiple Night Stay for three nights. There were some parts that made me wonder if there were staff members who were not yet accustomed. For example, forgetting to take out the trash, and not having a door knob plate prepared, resulting in cleaning staff coming while I was in the room. However, the service was polite, and the room was easy to use and clean. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    Due to family matter...

    Due to family matters, I decided to drive from Tokyo to Nara and made a reservation at this hotel. Since it was a newly opened property, everything was new, and I had a very comfortable stay. One point, although it might be unavoidable since it just opened, when I arrived, the hotel's affiliated parking lot was full. When I entered from the hotel's front entrance, a hotel staff member guided me to a parking space within the hotel's premises. However, when checking in, I was asked where I parked the car, and when I said I parked on the premises, I was told that parking on the premises was not allowed. Even when I mentioned that I was guided by the hotel staff, they were not immediately convinced. That was disappointing.
