    Delicious for a buffet-style meal.

    It would be nice to have a bit more variety in the menu! We were disappointed that there was no spaghetti. However, there were some unique Italian dishes that brought back fond memories for our family with experience in Italy. Although we couldn't see the entire Sanshiro Island, the view was still excellent. We look forward to visiting again if we have the chance.

    Casual Hotel

    I recently stayed for one night with my family. Due to the old building, the room window was difficult to open. Additionally, we could hear the sound of drafts in the hallway all night, and my daughter, who slept in a bed near the room entrance, said she couldn't sleep. We were looking forward to using the balcony jacuzzi, but as mentioned in reviews, there was no place to remove wet bathing suits. It became bothersome to figure out where to take them off, so my daughter and I ended up not using it at all. My husband used it at night and in the morning; perhaps men might not mind as much. He said he enjoyed hearing the sound of waves. The meals were delicious as others have mentioned, and I thought the free-flow drinks were great too. The accommodation cost is reasonable, giving an impression of a casual hotel suitable for friends traveling together or young couples and families.

    Cost-effective accommodation

    I personally found the cost-performance to be excellent, making for a very satisfying stay. The efforts put into dinner, breakfast, and the free-flow drink service were evident and left a positive impression. The room with an indoor bath was well-equipped and provided a comfortable experience. The only downside was that many foreign guests were staying, and their manners in the public onsen were lacking, leading to less-than-ideal cleanliness in both the changing area and bathing area. As a result, although I usually make frequent use of public onsens even when there is an indoor bath in my room, this time I limited my visits to the minimum necessary. This issue would require cooperation from all guests to improve. That said, this accommodation offers a unique experience different from typical onsen accommodations in Izu, so I am confident you won't regret choosing it.

    Owner's Birthday

    We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Italian buffet, both in the morning and evening, was absolutely wonderful and very filling. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked some fruit. The open-air jacuzzi in the guest room with a view of the ocean was fantastic. However, I was bothered by the noisy air purifier in the room and a spider web on the ceiling above the refrigerator. Thank you for making a towel cake for his birthday!

    Everything is excellent!

    First of all, the cleanliness throughout and the staff's kind service were delightful. Both dinner and breakfast showcased a dedication to handmade dishes, which were truly delicious. The all-inclusive alcohol, drinks, and snacks could be taken in a basket to your Room, allowing for a relaxing time while enjoying the stunning views. This is a Hotel I would love to revisit many times in the future!

    Overall, it was good, but...

    The reviews on IKYU were good, so I decided to stay at il azzurri. First of all, if you are traveling by car, it is naturally very inconvenient as there is only one bus per hour from Shimoda, taking just under an hour. If you aim for the 3:00 PM check-in time, the only bus available will arrive about 40 minutes early. I planned to wait in the lobby if I arrived early. As expected, I arrived early and walked up the hill in the rain toward the Hotel. At the entrance of the Hotel was a sign stating "Currently cleaning; entry allowed from 3:00 PM." Despite this notice, no staff members were visible anywhere. There was no place nearby to have tea or wait comfortably; carrying my luggage in the rain left me feeling helpless. I've never stayed at a Hotel where there are times when even its lobby is inaccessible—it was quite surprising and disappointing. If this is their policy, they should inform guests beforehand and consider more customer-friendly measures given transportation challenges. My excitement for this trip significantly diminished at that point (I noticed many others facing similar difficulties). Additionally, here are some other concerns: 1) The scent in the lobby upon entering was overwhelmingly strong. 2) As an older-style Hotel, only one key (not card keys but traditional keys) is provided per Room—very inconvenient for multiple guests. 3) There’s a footbath outside near the back of the lobby; however, it was ice-cold like water (no one seemed to be using it). 4) The Onsen changing area does not have lockers with locks but rather baskets with small lockers for valuables like wallets or phones—security feels inadequate these days. 5) Slippers in the changing area are simply placed on shelves without any system; someone mistakenly took mine. 6) The open-air bath attached to our Room comes with wrap towels provided by management due to its openness—but there’s no designated place to store used towels afterward except bringing them into your Room and leaving them near your indoor bath. 7) A foul odor came from our Room's humidifier when used as such (it worked fine as an air purifier). Since we had heating on during bedtime and wanted humidity added overnight—we filled it with water only for a terrible rotting garbage smell permeating throughout! We had no choice but opening windows late-night airing out everything instead! 8) When asking reception about confirming return bus schedules—they laughed saying “we don’t know” without offering assistance nor checking further information!

    The exterior of the building looked old, but the interior was very clean. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style and quite delicious. The Room had a sauna, which we enjoyed.

    We stayed at this Hotel for my daughter's graduation trip!! The staff provided excellent service, and the Hotel Room was clean with a great view, allowing us to have a wonderful time. The public bath was not crowded, so we could relax!! The sauna was also very pleasant!! We would love to stay here again if we have the chance. Thank you so much!!

    Excellent

    This was my second stay. I don’t usually return to the same place, but this Hotel truly delivers attentive service in every detail, and I was very satisfied. The staff training is excellent. It’s clean, the bed is very comfortable, and it’s a wonderful Hotel with nothing to complain about. I’m planning to stay again after a while!

    Thank you for your hospitality. The weather was nice at the oceanfront, so we were able to see the sunset over Sanshiro Island right in front of us. The meals consisted of many elaborate dishes, which were constantly replenished, allowing us to enjoy them comfortably and deliciously. What surprised me was the free flow. There were many varieties available, and we could enjoy them from check-in to check-out. It is especially recommended for those who love alcohol. The Room and bath have been renovated and were comfortable, but the overall building showed signs of aging here and there.

    Hotel is the best

    I chose this place because the reviews were good and the room had an ocean view. Everything was great, but the dinner was truly delicious, and with a wide selection of free drinks and snacks, I wished I could have stayed another night to fully enjoy it. It was just as everyone said in their reviews. The room was clean and tidy, with hammocks everywhere that provided a very relaxing atmosphere. The view from the room is also fantastic. Since it was windy, I enjoyed a foot bath in the bathtub of my room. Of course, I also enjoyed the foot bath while drinking coffee as I had been looking forward to it. It became a very memorable family trip for us. Next time, I'd like to come back during a different season. The service and hospitality were very courteous and attentive.

    Very, very, very satisfied.

    I arrived early on February 17th, and the staff kindly informed me that since there was availability, I could wait in the lobby. They guided me to a seat with an ocean view. I stayed in the Luxury Ocean View room this time, and it was quite spacious with a spectacular view, which was very nice. However, if there is one issue to mention, it would be that voices from the hallway could be heard (this was due to a group of young women in their 20s making noise). From 3 PM onwards, I enjoyed drinks and some snacks and felt happy throughout my stay. The dinner buffet featuring Wagyu beef was excellent, as well as the breakfast buffet with rice and ochazuke being exquisite. The handmade gelato served both morning and night was so delicious that I couldn't resist having multiple servings until my stomach felt full. Please allow me to repeat my visit again someday. Thank you to all the staff involved.

    It was a very satisfying Hotel.

    I stayed for one night and two days on a weekday to avoid the crowds, and it was a Hotel that left me very satisfied and wanting to come back again. If I had to mention one dissatisfaction, it might be inevitable since it's a Hotel built by the sea, but the glass windows by the sea in front of the elevator were white with salt and hadn't been cleaned. Seeing this just as I was about to start my stay gave me quite a disappointing feeling. Other than that, there were no complaints; the meals were delicious, and the sauna in the Room was excellent.

    We are very satisfied with the delicious meals.

    Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious and enjoyable. The free flow and foot bath were attractive services. What concerned me a little was that the Room door and the door to the balcony were old and stiff, there was only one key per Room, and the open-air bath in the large public bath was slippery (I fell). I would like to visit again.

    A Property with delicious meals.

    Overall, I think this Property is generally satisfactory. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were of high quality. This is purely my personal opinion, so impressions may vary greatly depending on the individual. This time, I made a Reservation for a twin Room, but it was not a completely Western-style twin-bedded Room; it had a somewhat awkward Japanese-style feel to it, so honestly, it didn't feel very comfortable to relax in. Also, while there were pajamas provided, there were no so-called in-house wear (if I simply missed it, I apologize), so it was inconvenient to have to change into regular clothes every time I went to the public bath or for meals.

    The Room was clean and very tidy. I was a bit concerned that the open-air bath attached to the guest Room could be seen from outside, but overall, the Room was good. It would be even better if the TV allowed access to Netflix. The drinks and food in the lounge were stylish and delicious.

    Delicious Italian Cuisine and Barrel Sauna

    Once again, it was amazing! Delicious Italian dishes like Acqua Pazza and beef tagliata, and the wine was excellent too. In the morning, I enjoyed a plate with panini, soup, and my favorite yogurt. The staff were all very kind and welcoming with their warm smiles, making the stay very comfortable. As a sauna enthusiast, I especially loved the barrel sauna where I could relax while enjoying the stunning views of Dogashima. I had a truly wonderful time.

    Azure sea

    The star-filled night sky and the azure sea visible from the terrace in the morning were truly breathtaking and soothing. For dinner, the sea bream Acqua Pazza and the Black Wagyu Tagliata were particularly delicious. For breakfast, even though we arrived at the last minute, there was a breakfast set served promptly, which was very helpful! While the Property feels more suited for adults rather than families with children, the restaurant staff warmly interacted with our child with beaming smiles, which made us very happy.

    Relax in the Room

    Stayed for two nights. We enjoyed the sunset from the room, relaxing with wine as the sky changed to a crimson color. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable! There was an all-you-can-drink option for beer and wine, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't use the open-air bath in the room as it was a cold season. We warmed up in the Onsen's large public bath. Around 8 PM when we used the public bath, the sauna wasn't hot at all, which was a bit disappointing... Was there a specific way to use it? We couldn't figure it out. Other than that, we were very satisfied, and I think it's a hotel where you can relax, with good service and a pleasant atmosphere in the lobby.

    The open-air bath in the Room was too disappointing.

    The staff's hospitality & smiles, the Italian dinner buffet & Japanese-style breakfast buffet using plenty of high-quality ingredients, the room's spaciousness & view, all were wonderful. However, what was disappointing enough to ruin them was the open-air bath installed on the terrace. Having to cross the living room soaking wet to get to the shower room after taking a bath is too much. The men would take off their bathing suits on the balcony and wrap a towel around their waist to cross the living room, but the women couldn't take off their soaking wet bathing suits on the spot, so they had to make the living room wet while heading to the shower room. I've had enough. P.S. There was a large crack in the shower room's window glass, which was scary.

    The sunset was beautiful!

    I have tried various restaurants and eateries, but the food here was exceptionally delicious both at night and in the morning. The interior of the facility has been renovated, and the decor is creatively designed with a charming ocean theme. The staff were also very pleasant. I felt very refreshed. Thank you very much.

    To say the least, it was "the best." Stayed in a room with an onsen open-air bath. Since it was a cold season, I thought it might be cold until entering the room, but after warming up in the open-air bath and entering the room, it was so warm that it felt hot for a while. The buffet food was also very delicious, and the view from the room was the best. I was so satisfied that I purchased some goods before leaving the hotel. My wife seemed satisfied as well, and she said we would definitely return. Thank you very much.

    I visited again after two years because I wanted to see the sea here, so I will review it.

    First of all, considering the usual price range of this Stays, it is reasonably set, so I will review it with a casual premise. The view is undeniably wonderful, and I highly recommend it without any changes. Moreover, the soft aspect (buffet staff) of this Stays is simply excellent. I stayed for two nights from the end of the year, and the coordination of the hall staff during meals, both morning and night, was very good. Even when the guests were full, there was no shortage of items, lines of guests, or unsanitary feelings like spills, which are common in buffets. The service and balance during meals exceed the rank of the Stays, making it a very reassuring and recommendable point. The meals are also quite well thought out in terms of dishes and color presentation, and I think the buffet level is relatively high. The hard aspect has been repeatedly renovated, but the lack of detailed cleaning in various places left a strong impression this time. Also, even if you arrive a little early, it seems you are not allowed to enter the lobby or even the building, which was hard to understand, so those going should be careful. I understand the differentiation of official site reservations, but I was treated as if it was a problem to let me in, and I was only allowed to use the restroom. Basically, I think it is a stance for those who want to enjoy casually, so I can really recommend it to young women and those who want to enjoy it reasonably. If you stay at the low price range on weekdays, I think it is a very cost-effective Stays. On the contrary, I was reminded that during peak season, the satisfaction level relatively decreases significantly. The 92 square meter Room had good color tones for the floor and ceiling height, and the view from the corner Room I stayed in was very wonderful! Due to the structure, the shower line is unavoidable, but it was a shame that noticeable points stood out in such a good Stays. Including the renewal of the balcony, if this Stays gains brand power in the future, I think it will become a very attractive Stays, so I look forward to it in the future.

    We stayed for two da...

    We stayed for two days from New Year's Day. I like the warm climate and relaxed atmosphere of Izu even in winter. Perhaps I had too high expectations from the reviews, but the meals were generally a bit strong in flavor for us (coming from the west), and the ozoni soup also tasted a bit salty. It might be due to the local style. However, overall, we are satisfied. Everyone was smiling, and we were able to relax and take it easy. The wind was strong, so we didn't use the open-air bath or foot bath in the room even once, but using the large public bath made our skin smooth and was very relaxing. Thank you very much.

    The younger child wanted to go to an onsen for an overnight stay as their birthday approached, and the older child said they wanted a place with a nice view, which led us to your property. We had an image of Izu equating to Japanese cuisine, but we were drawn to the Italian option. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the rainy weather, but we enjoyed the delicious meal. We also appreciated the food and drinks in the lounge. Our family was able to relax and have a lively time together. Thank you very much. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    Upon check-in, the glass door of the open-air bath in the large public bath was broken, and we couldn't use it immediately. Even after it reopened, the bathtub was not filled with much water.
