    It was excellent.

    We stayed for one night in a Room with a barrel sauna for our family of four. The meals were delicious, and best of all, it was all-inclusive! We enjoyed taking drinks to the Room and relaxing. The barrel sauna was great as well. We could see the tombolo from the Room. If it were closer, we would visit again! Even though it's far, we will definitely return. Thank you very much!

    Delicious Cuisine and Drinks

    From arrival to departure, a variety of drinks and snacks are available for free, ensuring you're always satisfied. Draft beer, wine, and cocktails can be prepared, and baskets are provided for taking them back to your Room. Draft beer is also available during both dinner and breakfast. The balcony features a bath with stunning views; however, the scenery was so captivating and the bath so large that I opted not to use it due to the effort of filling it with water. Instead, I enjoyed the public bath three times. While there aren't many dishes offered in terms of variety, each one is delicious and pairs perfectly with drinks. Both Japanese and Western-style breakfasts were delightful—I ended up eating too much! There’s also a footbath overlooking the ocean; however, during summer evenings when the sun sets directly in front of it, it was too hot to enjoy. I'd love to visit again in another season to try it out!

    The Room and lobby w...

    The Room and lobby were clean, and the food was especially delicious and enjoyable. However, there was a lot of noise from children running around upstairs during the day and morning, not just at night. Additionally, water (possibly bathwater?) was repeatedly splashed from the balcony above, which caused inconvenience when we were on our balcony as we got sprayed. I considered asking to change Rooms several times but decided to endure it since everything else was comfortable. While this aspect might be a matter of luck and is unfortunate, I was very satisfied with the Hotel overall.

    Meals, Room, Bath, Location, Service – everything was excellent.

    The free-flow experience was fantastic. After completing the check-in process, we toasted with a cold beer in the lounge and enjoyed making our own exquisite mojitos with fresh mint and lime provided. During meals, we started with sparkling wine for a toast, followed by an extensive selection of wines. The quality of the food was exceptional. The black Wagyu beef tagliata served at dinner was superb—meltingly tender meat paired perfectly with freshly grated wasabi. Every dish, from sea bream acqua pazza to prosciutto and carpaccio, tasted as if it came from a high-end restaurant. Breakfast featured delightful ocean-inspired dishes such as turban shell miso soup, seaweed soup, and seafood rice bowls piled high with fresh toppings. The staff promptly cleared empty plates during meals, providing impeccable service throughout our stay. The accommodation is spotless and well-maintained everywhere you go within the property. From the stylish room to the private open-air hot spring bath attached to it or even the wooden-scented barrel sauna in the public bath area—all offer breathtaking views of Suruga Bay's vast ocean expanse and Sanshiro Island right before your eyes. Unlike larger hotels that often feel noisy or crowded, this hotel offers a serene atmosphere where you can relax without unnecessary distractions—a truly unique gem in Nishi-Izu that stands apart from other accommodations in the area. We will definitely return!

    It was excellent.

    Very satisfied. One night stay for a family of four. The facility is clean and has a great atmosphere. The meals were very delicious. The Onsen was clean with excellent hot water. It was great being close to tourist attractions! Thank you very much.

    Great views and buffet! Drinks and service could be improved...

    The accommodation cost a little over 100,000 yen for the summer vacation. The seaside view (with a footbath) was fantastic. The dinner buffet was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. However, since it was all-inclusive, I had imagined the drink service and spaces to be more like a hotel club lounge, so I felt somewhat disappointed. The snacks provided were only two types (plus banana chips and nuts), the barrel wine and champagne were too warm to drink, and the available spaces were either simple tables by sunny windows with poor air conditioning or outside near the footbath—neither of which allowed for relaxing comfortably. Additionally, after breakfast at the restaurant when I wanted coffee, I found that they had run out of beans. When I asked a staff member about it, they directed me to use the free drink area instead of serving it in the restaurant itself. This made me feel slightly rushed out without being able to enjoy coffee leisurely at my table in the restaurant. While there didn’t seem to be any ill intent from staff members, their customer focus felt lacking overall. It’s unfortunate because both the scenery and concept are excellent but certain aspects fell short of expectations.

    We visited as a family of five.

    The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The jacuzzi in the room used Onsen water, and the view was amazing. We enjoyed a foot bath while drinking sake. I didn’t have high expectations for the buffet, but everything was beautifully prepared and delicious—it was a pleasant surprise. One area for improvement is the cold bath after using the sauna in the public bath; it was dirty and disappointing. Next time, I’d like to stay in a room with a private sauna when traveling with fewer people.

    Top-notch location, facilities, and services.

    Located in the best spot of Dogashima, the view from the Room and open-air bath was stunning all day long. The Facility is designed to be relaxing and laid-back. I was particularly impressed by the spaciousness of the Room. The service was attentive, and I especially enjoyed the complimentary drinks available in the lounge. I will definitely return as a repeat guest.

    Last year, I visited...

    Last year, I visited with a friend and had a good experience, but due to strong winds, we couldn't use the open-air bath in the room or the outdoor bath in the public area because of fallen leaves. I had been planning to revisit someday. When my daughter suddenly came home, we decided to take a trip with my mother and searched for a room with an open-air bath available at short notice. That's when I found this place again and revisited. Unfortunately, since it was a last-minute reservation, we couldn't stay in a larger room. While it didn't bother me during my previous visit, this time I noticed that the doors near the sink and toilet made loud noises every time they were opened or closed. Additionally, sounds from upstairs were audible—perhaps due to the building's age—but adding cushion seals where parts hit might make a difference. The all-inclusive service delighted my daughter as well as my mother during meals; they both enjoyed it very much. Considering how last-minute our reservation was, I'm just grateful we could stay at all. For an all-inclusive plan at this price range, it's incredibly affordable! The variety is excellent; everything was wonderful—including the stunning views—and meals were delightful too. I've already recommended it to friends!

    The breathtaking views of Dogashima offer more than just the sea.

    In one word, "I found the best hotel!" I loved it so much that I wish I could visit every month if it were closer. There are plenty of expensive and good accommodations, but it's rare to find one that satisfies me in terms of price, location, food, and onsen altogether. Great value for money! I feel like praising myself for finding this place. The view from the room is excellent. The guest room design is stylish and user-friendly. Drinks (and some light snacks) in the lounge are free to enjoy from check-in to check-out. The large public bath being an onsen is incredibly appealing. At check-out time, I wished to stay even a minute longer. That said, I'd like to mention a few areas for improvement: 1. Phone connection: When calling the main number, guidance plays but doesn't connect you to staff members. Even when choosing options not automated by voice guidance, there’s no response. The guidance suggests contacting via email instead; however, even after emailing the day before my stay, there was no reply by the next day—this can be critical when contacting two days prior without a response within 24 hours. 2. Air conditioning: While other reviews didn’t mention air conditioning issues (so it might have been coincidental), some areas had ineffective cooling—especially in the lounge or lobby where it was unbearable at times during June! No one sat in these spaces due to heat; even shaded seats left people sweating profusely just sitting down! Many guests took their drinks back into their rooms (which was appreciated). But if this happens during June... what about summer? 3. Pre-check-in experience: Arriving before 3 PM meant encountering signage stating "Open at 3 PM." While room entry understandably starts then—it felt disappointing not being allowed inside earlier overall given its remote location away from convenient stations etc., making time adjustments difficult depending upon transport options available nearby. Despite sharing constructive feedback above hoping future improvements occur—the accommodation remains exceptional overall!     A wonderful accommodation where you can enjoy both dining and the room.

    I gave this as a gift for my parent's birthday celebration. Upon request, they prepared towel art in the Room, and it brought instant happiness upon entering! The Room was very clean, and both the bath and sauna were excellent! The view was absolutely stunning! The food exceeded expectations in quality, and the free-flow drinks were fantastic.

    I had always been curious about this highly-rated accommodation, so I took a vacation to stay here. Here are my thoughts: - Meals The meals were excellent, and the food was very delicious. The all-you-can-drink alcohol option was great! The staff provided pleasant service as well. The sunset view was also stunning and beautiful. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the cheese. Since there’s a lot of wine available, I imagine many guests enjoy pairing it with cheese. However, the pieces were smaller than dice and unevenly shaped, making them difficult to pick up with the mini tongs provided—some couldn’t even be picked up at all... In the end, I gave up trying too hard to grab them (laughs). A bit disappointing. - Hairdryer and Amenities A slight upgrade in these areas might appeal more to women. The hairdryer was from Salonia. As for amenities in both the bathroom and room—given how stylish everything else is—I expected brands like La Mer or POLA commonly found in hotels but found DHC instead (perhaps it varies by room?). - Private Open-Air Bath in Room The room itself was truly wonderful! However, when using the bath, seeing an outdoor unit right in front of me felt quite disappointing. Also, while the bath is relatively deep, there were no handrails which made me feel like I could slip—it seemed a bit unsafe... Additionally, since it's completely visible from the road no matter what you do, bathing naked wasn’t an option; you’d need multiple bathing garments or wait for them to dry before reusing them again—which limited how often we could use it—leaving this experience somewhat unfulfilled as well.

    A Long-Awaited Trip

    It was my first visit to Dogashima in 10 years, and I was very excited about the trip. I contacted in advance to confirm if early check-in at 2 PM was possible, but unfortunately, I couldn't get a clear answer. However, when I mentioned this to a male staff member at the Hotel, he assured me they would be more careful in the future. The jet bath on the Room's balcony had a great view and allowed for relaxation, but there were water stains that made me feel cleaning could have been more thorough. Regarding meals, it would be nice if there were options like cheese or prosciutto salami available. The selection of sparkling wine was also limited, which was disappointing. For breakfast, adding more Japanese side dishes would be appreciated. All the staff members were pleasant and made my stay enjoyable. I look forward to visiting again!

    This is a Hotel to look forward to.

    This was a highly-rated Hotel in West Izu, so I had high expectations. However, the food did not suit my taste. I was very disappointed that there was no specialty golden-eye snapper. It seems they offer Shuttle Service to Mishima, which I wanted to use but couldn't—very unfortunate. I hope for improvements and look forward to seeing changes in the future.

    Accommodation you'd want to visit again

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay and found the clean Room very comfortable. From the guest room and balcony, I could observe the tombolo phenomenon. The buffet meals were mostly the same for two days, but on the second evening, I was served a separate plate with three dishes, which was a thoughtful touch. Everything was delicious—be careful not to overeat! I especially enjoyed the foot bath, free-flow drinks, and hammock in the guest room. Although I only used it one way this time, the Shuttle Service to Mishima was incredibly helpful. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, making my stay very pleasant. A few minor disappointments were that I couldn't use the projector properly, there was no connection between the balcony bath and shower room, and at night, it felt too exposed to use the shower room comfortably. However, even considering these points, I'd love to come back again to enjoy watching sunsets next time. Thank you!

    Unexpectedly...

    The interior was as shown and very clean. The free drinks were nice, but I felt it would have been better to enjoy local food in the Room. I was looking forward to the sauna, but unfortunately, it was out of order. The customer service was disappointing as the staff spoke quietly and lacked energy. The ocean view was excellent.

    A Hidden Resort Hotel in West Izu

    This was our second stay as a family of three. Apart from the distance from Tokyo, we were highly satisfied. Right after check-in, we enjoyed a wonderful moment watching the sunset while soaking in the footbath and sipping free-flowing sparkling wine.

    I had a relaxing and leisurely stay.

    We stayed here for a family trip. The Hotel's service is excellent. The lounge is open until 10 PM, offering free drinks, soft drinks, alcohol, and snacks while enjoying the view of Dogashima from the footbath. You can also take your drinks to your Room.

    High satisfaction with meals.

    The satisfaction with dinner and breakfast is very high. The buffet-style meals were all delicious. The view from the room was also relaxing and beautiful. One concern was that when I tried to contact the accommodation due to a late arrival, the official phone number only played guidance, and I couldn't reach direct assistance. Upon arrival, I was informed of another phone number for such situations. It would be helpful if an emergency contact number for the day could be clearly provided to those with reservations. Until arriving, I felt a bit uneasy about the accommodation, which was unfortunate since my satisfaction after arrival was very high.

    We made the best memories!

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my partner's birthday. A very cute towel cake was prepared in the room, which made my partner very happy. Not only did they communicate politely via email beforehand, but they also received the cake and bouquet for us. Thanks to their cooperation, we were able to successfully pull off the surprise and create a wonderful memory. Although it was unfortunate that the weather wasn't great, we enjoyed delicious meals and relaxed in a comfortable room, making our one-night stay fly by. We will definitely come back when the weather is better! Thank you so much!

    Birthday Celebration

    The weather was unfortunate, but upon arrival, I enjoyed a beer at the footbath. A towel cake was prepared in the Room, allowing me to relax and continue drinking there. The buffet was small-scale but of high quality, which was great; however, dinner ended early at 8 PM. Still wanting to drink more, I continued in the Room. Morning beer is available with breakfast!

    First time using it!

    The reception, lobby, restaurant, and lounge were very clean and modern! Since the building itself is old, the hallways and large public bath felt a bit dated. The food was incredibly delicious! The view was great, and it was reasonably priced—very satisfying!

    Sauna Out of Order

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days during Golden Week. We reserved a room with a barrel sauna, but during the check-in process, we were informed that the sauna was unavailable due to a malfunction. Although we were momentarily disappointed, we appreciated the offer of a discount or an upgraded room. Accidents happen, but the staff's prompt and sincere response was very reassuring. The meals and all-inclusive drinks were excellent as well. This time it was just my wife and me, but we would love to visit again with our two adult daughters in the future.

    The satisfaction level is high for the price.

    Since it is all-inclusive, those who enjoy drinking alcohol may find it very cost-effective. Unfortunately, our family doesn't drink alcohol and we eat small portions, so even at the buffet with unlimited servings, we couldn't try everything despite taking small amounts. However, all the dishes were deliciously seasoned. Also, the bath in the Room had fine bubbles instead of a jacuzzi as we expected, which was a bit disappointing. It was unfortunate that YouTube couldn't be watched on the TV, but since the WiFi connection was strong, we enjoyed watching videos on an iPad.

    Il Azzurri

    I was able to stay at a hotel that I was quite satisfied with after a long time. As someone who loves traveling and uses accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, this hotel offered great satisfaction for its price. While I usually choose places I haven't stayed at before when traveling, I felt that this is a hotel I'd be happy to stay at again.
