    The Best Hotel Life with Your Best Friend

    I frequently use this accommodation for stays, shopping, and dining because I love it. This time, I stayed on a high floor with a beautiful night view after attending a concert with my best friend. In the morning, I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at my favorite first-floor restaurant. After checking out, I left my luggage and spent the afternoon relaxing at AQUA PARK Aquarium located uphill. The dolphin show is an absolute must-see! Later, we had dinner at the circular food court inside the hotel, did some shopping at the hotel’s shops, picked up our luggage, and parted ways at Shinagawa Station just two minutes away on foot. Over two days within the hotel's premises, we fully enjoyed eating, playing, and shopping—it was amazing. You can also enjoy bowling or movies here. Wherever you go—front desk staff, restaurants or shops—the wonderful staff warmly welcome you with exceptional hospitality. Next time, I’d like to spend time here with my family!

    Old Business Hotel

    Famous name raised expectations, but it felt like an old Business Hotel. The bed was small and cramped. It was cold, so I tried to increase the air conditioning temperature, but it was an old dial-type system and didn’t warm up in the end. It seemed clean enough. This seems to be the standard nowadays. Perhaps my expectations were misplaced.

    Check-in & check-out without any interaction with staff

    Stay on the 27th floor - Use the self-check-in machine to check in and out without speaking to any staff. - Amenities below the 27th floor include only a toothbrush. - One pillow is provided. - Complimentary bottled water is included. - The bowling alley within the facility is a favorite feature. - Food prices are high. - The izakaya on the basement level is recommended, though slightly more expensive than typical local izakayas. Conveniently located near Shinagawa Station and easy access from Haneda Airport, this accommodation has become my regular choice.

    Issues with hanger lockers

    The sliding door of the hanger locker got stuck when fully opened, making it impossible to close and had to be used in the fully open position.

    Good.

    Conveniently located near Shinagawa Station with plenty of restaurants nearby. The service was excellent, and the staff provided kind guidance. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

    Convenience

    I was planning to use the airport, so I stayed at the Hotel. The access from the airport is very good, and even with luggage, there is no need to worry about coin locker availability as they can store it for you, which was very convenient. The Room itself wasn't spacious, but its nearly square shape and well-placed TV made it comfortable to relax. Overall, there was a sense of age. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so there were no inconveniences at all. The lobby and other spaces are also spacious, making it a calming Hotel. I would like to use it again.

    Inspiration

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay at the Shinagawa Prince in over 10 years and my first time using the Annex Tower, so I got lost trying to find the entrance to the Annex. The property is so vast that it felt like a light exploration, which I enjoyed with my companion. The guest room floor had a very interesting design, making me feel as if I were in a maze, which was surprising. This time, they kindly upgraded our room grade, allowing us to enjoy our stay in a spacious room at leisure. (We could also see Tokyo Tower, which made us feel very fortunate.) The room had a pop image with large windows and was lovely. Although there were some minor issues with the showerhead and bed light, everything else was quite comfortable and significantly refreshed my previous image of Shinagawa Prince for the better. The person who took my call to request an early check-in and the front desk staff were both calm and smart in their responses, making it a very pleasant experience. I would love to find another opportunity to stay again.

    The service is exceptional, as expected.

    The staff service is as expected from Prince Hotel, providing excellent support and ensuring a great satisfaction. The main building is conveniently located across from Shinagawa Station. However, the Facility is old and there are too many guests, resulting in long lines for breakfast buffet and luggage storage, which is disappointing. The breakfast itself is quite ordinary, perhaps even below expectations. I wish they had made omelets at a live kitchen station. The artificial flowers displayed at the main entrance lack elegance and are disappointing.

    When I stayed before, I think I received a reply saying they would make efforts to improve after leaving my feedback... It's disappointing that I couldn't feel any improvements at all. The only reason for the lenient evaluation is that there are rooms where smoking is allowed, even though smokers are being oppressed. This time, I deliberately made a reservation at [Ajikaido Gojusantsugi] for dinner separately... There were noisy customers... When I thought it was the worst, from the conversations and seeing chefs and staff talking casually like "Do you want to eat this too?" at their table, I realized they were employees here. Despite our ordered meals taking an incredibly long time to arrive... The pain of waiting in such discomfort is unbearable! When asked if it's possible to change if salmon roe was included in the 7-piece sushi platter, the response was slow... They didn't say what it would be changed to and offered herring instead… It's not equivalent to salmon roe; many people get hives from raw shiny fish, including myself… While waiting, we were asked twice if adding wasabi is okay despite confirming it could be done quickly; yet they're still talking about wakame? Really… wanted to leave. The Omi beef nigiri with sea urchin priced at 2,200 yen per piece had rice so scattered that it couldn't be picked up with chopsticks… It wasn't labeled as seared but was grilled like yakiniku which was disappointing… The white-grilled eel tasted good but was cold… Chawanmushi had only small pieces of chicken and thin kamaboko on top as ingredients; after paying 20,000 yen I'd like to know what should have been ordered.

    Satisfaction - that's all there is to it.

    The atmosphere of the Room and the firmness of the bed were all calm. Since I often stay at a Business Hotel, I felt a difference in class. The only disappointing thing was that the bathtub drained poorly, and even though I only used the shower, water accumulated, which felt a bit unpleasant. If they could fix the plumbing a little, it would be perfect. I happened to use it because it was within my budget, but I definitely want to stay again. Indeed, going out from a quality Hotel makes you feel different. Thank you very much.

    About Bedding

    The bedding, including sheets, blankets, and pillows, as well as the nightwear, were crisp and felt great. By "crisp," I don't mean stiff; it's hard to describe this sensation in words, but the texture was very pleasant. Additionally, the pillows didn't have any odor, so I was able to sleep well at night. It's a common issue at other hotels, where even if the pillowcases are cleaned, the pillows themselves can have lingering scents, which is quite bothersome. As expected from Shinagawa Prince Hotel, this experience encourages me to return. I'm not sure how to interpret this incident, but when I went down to the 1st floor, a Japanese man was shouting loudly as he walked from the direction of the main building towards the Alex (Arekkusu) building. I hurriedly pressed the button to get on the elevator, but the wait felt extremely long. Fortunately, the man leaned against the wall in front of the elevator and didn't get on. Recent unexpected incidents flashed through my mind, and it was frightening.

    Terrible

    I have used this hotel many times in the past, but this time was particularly disappointing. First, the check-in. It can't be helped that the process is slow because the staff are foreigners, but the Japanese staff who were idle next to them didn't even try to help. Then, when I entered the room, there were no amenities. When I asked at the front desk, they said that items like razors had been discontinued. When I asked them to bring some because I would purchase them, they told me they were sold in another building, so I had to get dressed again and go buy them. I wish they had informed me of this at check-in. I don't know if they are making money from inbound tourism, but even this time, the room was quite expensive. It's understandable that the facility is aging. However, it's a problem if the staff are also aging. This time, I stayed for two days for convenience because the meeting place was at this hotel, but I wonder if they have become complacent because of the good location. Unless the staff themselves try to change, I think this hotel is doomed.

    Premium Floor

    I had the opportunity to use the premium floor on the upper levels. The NY-style interior allowed me to relax. The fabric of the sofa was quite worn, so it might be a good idea to replace it.

    Is it a compromise with the price?

    The Facility is old and difficult to use. The view from the window was nice, but that's it. I wouldn't use this Hotel if it wasn't cheap.

    The location was excellent.

    The location was absolutely excellent, making it a sufficient Hotel for stays primarily for business or sightseeing. Additionally, they were very accommodating in holding our luggage for a long time both before check-in and after check-out, which was extremely helpful. Being able to leave our luggage until just before boarding the Shinkansen was fantastic. I would definitely like to use it again the next time I visit Tokyo.

    A clean and tidy room

    I used the Annex Tower but enjoyed a delightful tea time with a great view at the restaurant on the 39th floor of the Main Tower.

    The only good thing was the convenient transportation.

    I stayed for one night in a Room on a high floor for approximately 28,000 yen. First, regarding the bathtub, I had difficulty adjusting the water temperature to my liking. When I finally managed to fill the tub, I noticed yellowish stains inside. As the water started to flow, I became concerned it might be something unsanitary like feces, so I couldn't bring myself to bathe. Additionally, the height of the chair at the vanity did not match, making it too low and uncomfortable to sit on, and there were stains on its legs. Other issues included weak water pressure, which made it impossible to flush toilet paper in one go, dirt on the free bottled water's paper label, discolored and frayed wallpaper due to nicotine, a door handle that needed to be lifted upward to the right, a nearly 10-centimeter step between the bathroom and the guest Room, visible dust clumps in the bathroom ventilation fan, and the absence of a detailed guide for the air purifier despite the guest Room guide stating it was available. Moreover, amenities like shampoo were not replenished. Overall, I felt the stay was not worth the price paid. There are many Hotels where one can relax more comfortably for even half the cost of this stay, so I will never use this Property again. I hope the Property improves to match its name and price for the sake of future guests.

    I will not stay again.

    The staff's response was the worst. Not only were they unfriendly during check-in, but when my child accidentally knocked over a pole used for forming lines, which made a fairly loud noise, I expected the front desk staff to come over and address it. However, the two staff members at the front desk, who were very close by, completely ignored it. Unbelievable. Considering the proximity and the loud noise, there's no way they didn't hear it. Since our luggage was large, we borrowed a cart, but they just handed it over with a "here" and didn't even help load the luggage. I've never experienced this at any other Hotel. On the day of departure, I called the front desk to request a cart, and they simply said, "It's located on the first floor at such-and-such place." Normally, wouldn't they say, "We'll bring it to you"? Other staff members also lacked any sense of hospitality, making this an unpleasant stay. I will never use this Property again.

    Late Check-in

    This location offers great value for the price, but the check-in process is the slowest in Tokyo. While we understand there are many guests, it seems like staff training is prioritized over efficiency at the counter. The delay feels excessive and gives an impression of misplaced priorities. Having stayed here more than 10 times, this has always been my experience.

    The front desk service was excellent!

    I am 70 years old. I was anxious about going to the place the next day. I was unfamiliar with using Tokyo trains and found the maps confusing, so I inquired at the front desk. They immediately looked it up for me, printed it out, and kindly wrote down the train directions to my destination. Thanks to them, I was able to rest easy and enjoy a relaxed day the next day. I was very satisfied with their discreet and elegant service.

    I was able to rest well.

    Since it was my first time attending an event in this location, I decided to stay at the reliable Shinagawa Prince Hotel and headed to Tokyo. After a tiring journey, I checked in and was upgraded to a room on a higher floor. I received a kind message and a card key saying, "It's quiet, so please have a restful sleep." As a fan of high floors, I was very satisfied and enjoyed the night view from the room, allowing me to sleep soundly. Thank you very much for your consideration. I will work hard and save up so I can stay again.

    The Hotel is very ol...

    The Hotel is very old and needs to be updated entirely. However, considering the low price, there seems to be no dissatisfaction. It is also very convenient for travel as it is close to Shinagawa Station.

    Satisfactory Stays

    I made the reservation expecting a view, and I was delighted with a room where I could see Tokyo Tower. The room was chic and even better than I expected. For breakfast, it seems to be only during busy periods, but I was able to choose Japanese cuisine on a high floor, and I was lucky to see Mt. Fuji. During the Christmas season, there was a lively atmosphere typical of a large hotel, yet the staff's response was pleasant, and overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

    Too crowded

    I have been using it for a long time, but Shinagawa has changed and become inconvenient. It's tiring from the station to the Room. The Room was a corner twin and was good, but there were many foreign tourists... The Room was relatively quiet and I was able to rest. It was good. I always hope that the neighbors are not foreigners.

    It was comfortable.

    It was a triple corner in the main tower. The bed was comfortable. There is a parking lot in the basement, and it was good at 1500 yen for 24 hours. The man at the front desk during check-in was pleasant and left a good impression. It is a huge Hotel with many inbound guests, but I think it's inevitable given the location in Shinagawa. The Hotel itself is old, but it seemed to be well cleaned. I had a comfortable stay.
