    It was excellent.

    My first stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka. The setting, hospitality, and food were all excellent. The only slight disappointment was the toilet: the seat was cold, and the bidet did not have a “soft” mode. The bathtub was great, but adjusting the shower temperature took a bit of getting used to. As expected of the Imperial Hotel—every staff member was outstanding.

    I was very satisfied.

    I stayed with my elderly mother in two Rooms for three guests. The Rooms were comfortable, and the hospitality and service were excellent. Even though we requested Room Service for the next morning at a late time through the concierge, they kindly accommodated us, which was a great help. If I have the opportunity, I would definitely like to stay again.

    It was a great stay.

    First, the view from the Room was wonderful. The lounge and breakfast were also luxurious, and even when we just paused briefly in the lobby, the staff immediately offered assistance such as arranging a taxi—both the Facility and service were excellent.

    A worthwhile space and time, even at the lowest rate

    I stayed here for the first time in several years, and it is still a wonderful Hotel. The service is kind and refined, and although this time I booked the lowest Room category, there were thoughtful touches such as a Dolce Gusto machine and 1-liter carton packs of Fuji mineral water. The amenities also came in beautiful boxed packaging, with a design and texture that made me want to take them home. Having stayed two nights at other classic top-tier Hotels beforehand, I felt even more strongly how exceptional the comfort and beauty of this Hotel are. The price range is somewhat high, but it is worth it. What disappointed me was that the bed mattress was very comfortable, but when I pulled back the sheets to check the manufacturer tag, I saw that the mattress was quite stained and not clean. Also, after checkout I used the lunch buffet, but the menu selection felt rather limited (especially the lack of cut fruit). There was live music and a roast beef cart service, so perhaps it cannot be helped from a cost perspective. Overall, though, it was a very good stay.

    Snoopy! Snoopy!

    Since Osaka is full of Snoopy right now, this was my first stay with a Snoopy Plan. The Room was filled with Snoopy! I’m glad I could also buy various original goods. However, the Room description mentioned a Snoopy bathrobe, but I couldn’t find one, so I wondered if it’s only available in children’s sizes. Compared to the Room we used the previous night, there were fewer amenities included, so I wished there were also a Club Floor Plan.

    A Hotel Where Tradition Lives On

    We stayed as a couple. The gorgeous, classic atmosphere you’d expect from a prestigious Japanese Hotel, along with the excellent hospitality from the staff, made our stay truly comfortable and indulgent. Some areas do show their age, but in a positive way—it felt like being surrounded by history. The renovated Imperial Floor was also calm and relaxing, and the beer and ice cream offerings were a fun touch. However, compared with other Hotels’ club floors, the selection of all-day light snacks felt limited—there was no fruit, for example—so it seemed a bit lacking. We took a personal lesson together, and the instructor was very kind with clear explanations; it was excellent. As we both enjoy fitness, we learned a lot. The pool and gym Facilities were luxurious as well, but opening the gym at 10:00 AM feels late these days. I assume it may be due to staffing, but we would really appreciate it if you could open from 7:00 AM like the pool. We already have a Reservation for year-end and plan to stay again—thank you in advance for your continued support.

    We had a very relaxing stay.

    Every summer vacation, I used to stay at a Hotel in Tokyo, but this year I decided to treat myself and stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka. My honest impression: “The best—absolutely coming back!” This will be a long review, so I’d be happy if those who are interested read on. The goal of this trip was simply to relax for three days. The Room was chic, calm, and so spotless that it was hard to believe the property is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. What I loved most was the in-Room steam sauna. With just one switch, part of the bathroom instantly becomes a steam sauna. Starting each morning with a steam sauna felt incredibly luxurious—it refreshed me completely and gave me energy for the day. The club lounge was always quiet and relaxing, with Hotel-made baked sweets and drinks including alcohol. The food during tea time and cocktail time was especially delicious—different each day and made with seasonal ingredients. The attached gym was also great; I could use both the pool and the large public bath without bringing anything. All of the staff were wonderful—their thoughtful attention and gentle check-ins were exactly what you’d expect from a top-class Hotel. On the second day, my son suddenly suggested we go eat green onion udon in Gion, Kyoto. Since I’m not familiar with Kansai, I asked someone at the lounge for advice—and they kindly looked up everything for us: the restaurant name, location, and how to get there. We enjoyed our udon safely… but on the way back we got caught in an intense downpour. By the time we arrived at the Hotel my clothes were soaked through and my shoes were completely drenched. Unfortunately I didn’t have spare shoes, so I asked for old newspapers to dry them in my Room—but a staff member offered to take them and dry them for me instead. When I accepted their offer, they delivered my shoes back to my Room beautifully dried by the next morning. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us. We ate all our meals at the Hotel—both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was excellent across the board (as expected). It was also great that we could calmly enjoy Nadaman’s Japanese set meal via room service as well. For dinner we ordered room service both nights; my son said his favorite dish was definitely the hamburger steak. It may have been only three short days, but I’m truly grateful to every staff member who took care of us. I’m already looking forward to visiting again. Thank you very much for everything.

    A place you’ll want to come back to from time to time.

    Since I was a university student, my mother and I have visited twice a year for the variety esthetics treatments. Now, my mother and my children stay here together. There have been periods when we did not stay, but for nearly 20 years it has remained unchanged in the best way. I believe this is thanks to the many staff members who uphold the Imperial Hotel brand. We will continue to stay here in the future.

    Service Reduction

    This stay felt like a decline in service compared with our previous visit. At check-in, the male staff member seemed more concerned with the front desk than with us standing right in front of him, repeatedly glancing over and not focusing on us, which was unpleasant. In the lounge, perhaps because it was crowded, the female staff did not seem welcoming and handled things carelessly—for example, seating us at a table that had not been cleaned—which was disappointing. We were told there was a newspaper service, but there was no explanation at check-in and it ultimately wasn’t delivered. If we needed to request it ourselves, I would have appreciated being informed. The male staff member who assisted us at checkout and during the lounge evening service was pleasant and professional. I understand it may depend on the person, but overall we felt less hospitality than before, which was disappointing.

    Thank you for having me stay yesterday...

    It was a smoking Room, but the air in the Room was fresh, and the bed size was exceptionally good! It was also great that we could choose between a yukata and pajamas as loungewear. I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t make it in time for checkout, but the Hotel staff were very considerate—bringing me ice and kindly asking if there was anything I needed—and they responded quickly. I’m truly grateful. I was able to relax and take it easy. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again.

    The service feels inattentive.

    We stayed to celebrate my mother’s discharge from the hospital and her birthday. Because of the extreme heat, we planned our trip with extra time while monitoring her condition, so we arrived at the Hotel earlier than scheduled. Since we arrived early, I asked if we could at least complete the check-in procedure first, but was told it was not possible because check-in would be after 14:00. When I said we would wait in the lobby, I was told that once our Room was ready after 14:00, the Hotel staff would come and let us know. Up to that point there were no issues, but even after 14:00 no one approached us. After about 15 minutes, I finally went to ask myself, and there wasn’t even a simple “We’re sorry,” which left me disappointed and feeling that service standards in Japan have declined. Fortunately, my mother was delighted by the birthday message card from Imperial Hotel and was impressed by the lounge service and bed making, so it helped make up for it—but since there were plenty of staff at the front desk and it didn’t seem very busy, that initial experience was very disappointing.

    Your First Stay at the Imperial Hotel

    Above all, the Hotel staff provided service that truly felt like a top-class Hotel—clearly different from an ordinary stay. It wasn’t just kindness; they anticipated guests’ needs and acted before being asked. I felt no stress at all. In the Room, both pajamas and a yukata were provided—such a thoughtful touch. My Room was on the 9th floor on the riverside, with a great view and I was very satisfied. The furnishings and artwork in the Room were also wonderful. For breakfast, I chose the Nadaman breakfast set on the 24th floor. Even the grilled salmon was somehow plump yet crisp, and dishes like simmered vegetables showed that extra bit of care in every item. At under 20,000 yen per person (with an early-booking discount), it was extremely satisfying. Watching planes heading to Itami Airport arrive one after another was also a welcome view for an aviation fan like me. Amenities were standard: a Panasonic hair dryer and POLA shampoo and conditioner. The Room bathroom had a separate washing area, so I could relax in the bath comfortably.

    It was wonderful.

    This was my first stay with my mother, just the two of us. As expected from the Imperial Hotel, everything was wonderful. First, the flowers welcoming you at the main entrance—beautiful sunflowers that felt perfect for August. The front desk and all staff were courteous, and the Room was spotless with a great selection of amenities. For breakfast, there was a Japanese/Western buffet or a Japanese set meal at Kanadaman; we chose Kanadaman. It was crowded so we waited a little, but it was delicious and very satisfying. The nearest JR station is Sakuranomiya Station, and there are three shuttle buses per hour between Osaka Station and the Hotel, which was very helpful. Next time, I’d like to stay in a different Room as well.

    Always Young at Heart

    The service was outstanding!

    The service throughout our stay was outstanding and truly lived up to the Imperial Hotel name. Our east-facing Room overlooking the Okawa River had dazzling morning sun, but in the afternoon we enjoyed a calm river view. In the club lounge, we savored sparkling wine along with four kinds of small-plate dishes. We also enjoyed dinner via room service with a glass of wine. Although it was hot, we were able to come by car, and it became a wonderfully immersive escape from everyday life. We would love to return if we have the chance again.

    Stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka.

    We stayed as a family. Everything was wonderful, including the Facilities and amenities, and we were truly impressed. In particular, the Room, the air throughout the building, and the water were very soothing, so we didn’t get tired easily and felt in great condition. The staff were also kind and welcoming, which really moved us. We would love to stay again as a family.

    As expected of the Imperial Hotel.

    In an era of cost-cutting, I felt the Imperial Hotel brand in the way they never cut corners and showed thoughtful attention to every detail, even in areas other hotels tend to simplify. (Points that particularly impressed me) The politeness and steady professionalism of all staff. Calm, tasteful furnishings (there is a lot of furniture, yet it doesn’t feel cramped). Excellent consideration (pajamas and yukata were not one-size-fits-all; both L and M sizes were available). Up-to-date in-room amenities. (There was an ironing board and iron in the closet, and all metal parts—faucets and lighting fixtures—were polished to a shine. Audio equipment, bathroom clock.) Fresh flowers in the elevators and lobby. (Points that were slightly disappointing) The floor lamp did not turn on. The room-cleaning request light did not turn on. Most shuttle bus users did not seem to be guests staying at the Hotel. I chose Nadaman’s Japanese set breakfast, but it felt neither above nor below average.

    As well-reviewed as expected, this Hotel is.

    I had been interested in the Imperial Hotel for some time because of its high Review ratings. I found a very good-value Plan for a Junior Suite Room, so I decided to stay there for the first time on my birthday. The building is quite old and felt a bit dark compared with newer hotels, but the Room was kept spotless down to every detail, with well-stocked amenities and Facilities, so I was able to relax comfortably in the Room. The lounge I had been looking forward to was also luxurious and calm, and I was very satisfied. However, at check-in I was told to line up, and while waiting my turn I was asked my name and informed that there is a dedicated counter for Imperial Floor guests. But that counter was already full, so I was told to remain in the regular line. Either counter would have been fine with me, but when it became my turn they asked again—almost as if confirming—whether it was okay not to use the dedicated counter. Since it would have been inconvenient to rejoin another line after finally reaching the front, I said it was fine; still, I felt it would have been better if they had mentioned this before having me wait in the regular line. Because this Hotel is known for excellent hospitality, that initial interaction felt disappointing. As my purpose wasn’t business or sightseeing but enjoying the Hotel stay itself—and my expectations were high—I was quite let down by an unwelcoming start. Other than that, everything throughout my stay matched its reputation: consistently courteous and pleasant service.

    The Very Hungry Caterpillar lunch and accommodation.

    It was a wonderful day. The afternoon tea inspired by the picture book *The Very Hungry Caterpillar* came with a “Happy Birthday” plate, and the Hotel staff also offered their congratulations. It was a surprise from my children, who had been worried that we hadn’t properly celebrated my birthday. I was deeply moved. The afternoon tea was adorable and delicious. At ordinary cafés I usually avoid mint tea or chamomile tea because they often don’t taste good, but I thought it would be fine at the Imperial Hotel—so I asked, and it turned out to be an exceptionally luxurious tea. Listening to gentle guitar music, I lost track of time. There was also a bouquet of flowers in the Room, which truly touched me. Since the start of the year we’ve been living through hectic days, but one night at the Imperial Hotel helped us reset and mark an important turning point. For milestones and anniversaries, I hope we can always have the Imperial Hotel with us. Thank you very much, and we look forward to staying with you again.

    It was my first stay, but this was a wonderful Hotel that felt warm and reassuring—like coming home. What impressed me most was the staff’s perfect sense of distance: refined, top-class service while still friendly, making the entire stay truly comfortable. The Room was also impeccably cleaned down to every detail—perfectly spotless wherever you looked. You can really feel how much the staff cherish this Hotel. The room service beef curry I had in the Room had an astonishing depth of flavor—absolutely outstanding! I was completely satisfied with every aspect of my stay: service, cleanliness, and food. I’ve found a special Hotel I can recommend with confidence. Thank you for such an amazing time that left both body and mind fulfilled. Without a doubt, this is a special place I’d love to make my regular Accommodation.

    Enjoy the Tenjin Festival

    My trip to Osaka happened to coincide with the Tenjin Festival, so I stayed here to join the “Hotel Dinner and Tenjin Festival Viewing Evening.” It was my first Tenjin Festival, and I was able to enjoy the dedication fireworks comfortably without the crowds, making it a truly memorable stay. On the other hand, I was slightly disappointed with the front desk service. I fully understand that many guests were staying due to the festival and that it was a very busy day, but there were moments when I felt guidance and explanations were somewhat insufficient. Since I had been really looking forward to my stay at the Imperial Hotel, that part left me with a small regret. I hope this will be a Hotel where no matter which staff member assists you, you can always receive consistently reassuring, high-quality hospitality. Still, I am grateful that I was able to spend such a special day in comfort. Thank you very much.

    Excellent!

    We stayed on the Imperial Floor! Check-in was handled at a table. The lounge had an excellent selection of drinks, snacks, and ice cream. The view was great, and we could see multiple planes. At night, the city lights were beautiful! Breakfast also included Osaka specialties (niku-sui and kushikatsu), showing real attention to food. There was plenty of Japanese and Western cuisine, as well as desserts and fruit—very satisfying! The Room amenities were also well stocked. Nothing to complain about. We could also use the spa and enjoy a relaxing bath. We would definitely stay again!

    I stayed as a treat for myself and had a wonderful time from the warm welcome at check-in to my departure. The Room was beautifully prepared with great care, and although amenities have become simpler in many places recently, the selection here was excellent and truly reflected the Hotel’s high standards. I also enjoyed shopping on-site; everyone was courteous, making it a pleasant experience.

    It turned into a wonderful birthday.

    We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. They upgraded our guest Room free of charge, and we were able to stay in a very spacious Room. I had requested a cake and sparkling wine in advance, and my husband was delighted by the surprise. As my husband has difficulty walking, I asked for a high chair in the bathroom, and they kindly offered to prepare handrails for the toilet and bathtub as well, which made our stay very comfortable. During turndown service, they replenished amenities and more—everything was taken care of. All staff members were extremely kind, with warm and heartfelt hospitality. The bathroom felt a little small compared to the Room, but it wasn’t inconvenient. The vanity area was very spacious and there was also a desk, which made it easy to do my makeup. We were both very happy that it became such a wonderful birthday celebration. We would love to visit again for another special occasion. Thank you very much.

    We felt truly welcomed and appreciated the warm hospitality.

    I stayed from July 17 to 19. Knowing how wonderful the Imperial Hotel Tokyo is, I made a Reservation and stayed here for sightseeing in Osaka. Hospitality varied depending on the staff member, and perhaps because my expectations were too high, I was disappointed at first. However, there were also staff members with truly outstanding hospitality, and I was able to check out feeling very satisfied. First, at the Imperial Floor Lounge: there was a male staff member—perhaps the person in charge—who was seated near the entrance. He was there on both the 17th and 18th. His kind service, polite manner of speaking, and impeccable etiquette really conveyed true hospitality, and I thought, “This is exactly what you’d expect from the Imperial Hotel!” Next, regarding dinner: on the 18th, I made a Reservation at Jasmine Garden inside the Hotel. Two male staff members took care of our table (one gave me an Imperial Time booklet as we were leaving after finishing our meal; the other was a younger male staff member). They also showed warm hospitality through their kind service, polite speech, and refined etiquette. In particular, I was very impressed by how thoughtfully the younger staff member answered my questions with added value. When I visit Osaka again in the future, I would like to stay at Imperial Hotel Osaka again. To all of the staff members mentioned above who assisted us—thank you very much for your wonderful care.

    The Imperial Hotel is truly in a class of its own.

    I stay here looking forward to the breakfast buffet at the Imperial Hotel Osaka. The omelets are simple yet showcase true professional skill, and the carefully selected vegetables and fruits are excellent as well. The bread section, in particular, offers a different lineup from the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, and everything—including the donuts—is absolutely delicious. Beyond the food, housekeeping is flawless, and the bell staff are quick and attentive—refined without being overbearing. Once again, I was reminded of what makes the Imperial Hotel so exceptional. Thank you always.

    The thoughtful hospitality is wonderful.

    I have stayed here several times. My birthday happens to be next week, and they had discreetly placed a birthday message and a small gift in the Room. I was very happy with their thoughtful care. This is a Hotel I highly recommend.
