    Imperial Floor

    I enjoyed staying on the Imperial Floor, with access to the fitness center and lounge. The fitness staff kindly gave me training advice and encouraged me to work out regularly. The lounge had a great view, with a wide selection of drinks and snacks. I forgot my umbrella, and they lent me one. I appreciated that the Hotel name was only discreetly printed in small letters on the handle. I was surprised that the toothbrush and hairbrush were made of wood, but they were comfortable to use. The Hotel was not noisy, so I could relax and spend my time peacefully.

    As expected of the Imperial Hotel.

    The staff’s service felt genuinely warm and attentive. The large public bath in the gym was clean and well maintained, and I was satisfied with its facilities. One disappointing point was that the lounge’s small-plate offerings were the same during both afternoon tea and cocktail time.

    As expected of the Imperial Hotel

    I stayed in the Park Suite Double, which I had been wanting to stay in for a long time. I knew it would be spacious, but I didn’t expect even the bathroom area to be so large. I was also surprised that each Room had both a TV and a phone. I was able to use the Imperial Lounge again, and as always, the food was delicious—just the right amount before dinner. For dinner, I ordered a course meal via room service. It was quite filling and very satisfying overall. The soup was piping hot and incredibly tasty. In the morning, I chose the venue on the 2nd floor; it was mainly Western-style food, but there was a wide variety and everything was delicious.

    Experience true imperial elegance here!

    Some may think that with so many foreign luxury brands dominating Osaka, the Imperial has lost its presence—but that’s not the case. The building itself does show its age, but now it feels more like a treasured legacy of the Showa era. And when it comes to staff, they are outstanding. From the entrance to the front desk and the guidance to my Room, everyone kept a warm smile and worked efficiently; I was impressed by how well trained they clearly are. (I’ve been surprised at times by casual service at foreign luxury hotels, even though they speak English.) Last time I stayed, breakfast felt a bit unpleasant—someone from a neighboring country cut into the omelet line (the chef properly refused), and there were children watching videos with sound on—but none of that happened this time. With Kyoto now open, it’s easy to be drawn there, but what makes the Imperial truly “Imperial” is still alive here in Osaka. I’d love to stay again.

    It was a highly satisfying stay.

    My wife and I stayed here together. Since we visited from Sunday to Monday, it wasn’t very crowded, and we were able to enjoy an elegant, unhurried pace of time that hardly felt like Osaka. The service was exactly what you’d expect from the Imperial Hotel. We were also very satisfied with the quality of the in-Room amenities and supplies, as well as Nadaman’s Japanese breakfast. In short, while the Hotel has an atmosphere that doesn’t feel very “Osaka,” a little over a 10-minute walk takes you straight into Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street—deep Osaka at its best. Highly recommended.

    Solo travel

    As I approached my late 50s, I chose the Imperial Hotel Osaka for my first solo trip. The atmosphere is a little different from the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, but this one was wonderful in its own way. I enjoyed breakfast, afternoon tea, the bar, the spa, and Room service—everything was excellent. The view from my Room was great, and even with in-Room dining via Room service, I could enjoy my meal in a calm setting, so I felt there was no need to use the restaurant. I didn’t go sightseeing and simply enjoyed Hotel life. When I visit Osaka again, I would love to stay here again.

    Thank you for your hospitality. I used the aroma massage again this time, and the treatment was careful and spot-on—I was very satisfied.     After an event at the Hotel, I stayed at the Accommodation with my mother.

    After the event, I wanted to enjoy a few drinks, so I chose the Imperial Floor. There was a wide selection of alcohol, juices, sweets, and food—all delicious—and I was able to relax while enjoying the beautiful night view. The Room was quiet with a great view, and there were plenty of amenities. We had breakfast at Nadaman; the refined flavors were wonderful, and my mother said it was delicious too. Since we checked out early, we didn’t have time to see much of the Hotel, so next time I’d like to take my time and fully enjoy the Imperial Hotel. Thank you very much.

    I thought I might feel nervous since it was my first time at the Imperial Hotel, but it was a warm and welcoming Hotel with a lovely atmosphere. It’s a bit of a walk from the nearest station, but the shuttle bus between Osaka Station and the Hotel runs every 20 minutes until late, which was very convenient. The Room had a great bathroom with a separate washing area. The bathtub was also fairly large, so I could relax comfortably and it felt wonderful. Even in luxury Hotels, bathrooms often have mold, but I was surprised that there wasn’t even a trace of mold in the Imperial Hotel’s bathroom. The Room maintenance is excellent. Amenities such as toner were provided upon request. On the Standard Floor, they are POLA products. The breakfast buffet doesn’t have an extensive selection, but it’s satisfying. Everything I ate was delicious. I especially liked the hearty soup. The brioche and muffins were also good. However, it was disappointing that there was only a toaster for sliced bread, so I couldn’t warm other breads. I didn’t use Facilities like the pool or have many chances to interact with staff, but it was a comfortable Hotel where I could truly relax. I would definitely like to stay again.

    As expected of the Imperial Hotel.

    This is the Imperial Hotel where I stayed with my mother long ago. It brought back the excitement and nervousness I felt then, but above all, I was relieved by the calm, welcoming atmosphere of the hospitality. The unobtrusive doormen and the front desk staff were courteous without being pretentious; the single carnation in the Room; the wonderful view of the Okawa River from the window; being able to relax in the lounge while watching dusk; and how delicious breakfast was—I truly felt at ease throughout my stay. Next time, I would love to enjoy a meal at Les Saisons. Thank you very much.

    I’m wondering what kind of hospitality policy you follow.

    I was satisfied with the Facility and the front desk staff’s service, but a young female staff member cut in front of me at the front desk and let an elderly woman who was behind me go first. It was extremely unpleasant. Because of that, my check-in was delayed, and it was very uncomfortable having to watch someone behind me being processed first. Furthermore, when I got off the Shuttle Service bus at Osaka Station, a young driver had left my luggage inside the bus. When I told him that my luggage was still inside, he did not get off the bus and handed my suitcase down from a high position with one hand. A suitcase is not light baggage. Since it had to be passed through the air, it was difficult to receive. This was unacceptable behavior.

    A Hotel steeped in tradition and history—truly in a class of its own.

    The staff’s demeanor, the way they communicate, and their hospitality are all outstanding—you can truly feel the difference in quality. Room cleaning is also thorough down to the smallest details. If I had one request: I would be happy if the hair dryers in the spa area and guest rooms were upgraded to the same level as those in the spa’s private area.

    I recognized a good Hotel.

    This is my third stay in the past two months. I used the Shuttle Service between the Hotel and Osaka Station, and I lost a thumb-sized spray, but they searched for it the next day and it was safely returned to me. I’m impressed by the high level of professionalism of all the staff. As expected of Imperial. I look forward to staying again next time.

    We had a wonderful night.

    Without mentioning it in advance, we stayed as a family to celebrate our child’s new job. At the front desk, we were asked, “Is it a special occasion?” and I answered yes. We were so happy to receive your congratulations. Smiling and saying, “They found out,” we headed to Nadaman, which we had reserved.<br> The front desk had already informed Nadaman, and we were truly impressed by a special celebratory dish and a beautifully presented dessert with a “Congratulations on your new job” message. We also received warm congratulations at check-out.<br> Due to various circumstances, we hadn’t been able to properly celebrate our child’s employment for some time—this was the long-awaited celebration. Because it was at an in-between time of year, we planned to stay and dine without saying anything in particular. We’re so glad the front desk noticed.<br> We’re glad we chose the Imperial Hotel. It was a wonderful night. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you very much.<br> We will stay again.

    Exceptional hospitality

    I stayed for two nights on my first trip to Osaka. The hospitality was outstanding—truly what you would expect from the Imperial Hotel. Compared with Tokyo, the Hotel is more compact and has fewer shops, so there are fewer ways to spend time inside the Hotel, but that also makes it feel calm and relaxing. We ate dinner out, had breakfast at Nadaman, and enjoyed cocktails at the bar on the first night. Neither offered a view, but the view from our Room was great. The bath was spacious and very comfortable, but I was a bit surprised that the toilet required manual flushing—most home toilets have automatic flushing now, and even smaller hotels and restaurants often do as well. Also regarding amenities: there were no basic skincare items such as toner or lotion. I brought my own so it wasn’t an issue for me, but this was my first time staying at a hotel without them—perhaps there is a policy behind it. For that reason I deducted one point, but overall it is an excellent Hotel.

    After all, the Imperial Hotel

    Thank you once again for such a wonderfully comfortable stay. I love hotels, and about five years ago I began with a suite at the Imperial Hotel. Since then, I have stayed at more than 100 different hotels, and what I continue to feel anew is just how exceptional the hospitality of everyone at the Imperial Hotel is—it truly stands out. Of course, the Facility is outstanding, but even more than that, every time I experience the staff’s natural warmth and thoughtful attention to detail, it reminds me why I want to return to this Hotel. During this stay as well, I was deeply moved once again by your unwavering hospitality. I sincerely appreciate how you always provide a sense of comfort and ease whenever I visit.     Both the meals and desserts ordered through room service were delicious, and the Room was quiet—excellent overall. One suggestion: it would be even more convenient if room service orders could be placed via a tablet like in Tokyo. To the trainees, keep up the good work.

    I’m satisfied.

    I gifted my son and his family a stay in the Snoopy Room, and they were delighted that the entire Room was Snoopy-themed. Even though it was right up against the application deadline, thank you for accommodating my request to arrange a surprise. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at myself next time.

    I’m very satisfied with the reliable service you don’t get from foreign-owned companies.

    I stayed on the Imperial Floor during Golden Week for a trip to Osaka. While the Facilities are undeniably dated, the Room was kept clean and well maintained, with plenty of amenities provided, so I had a comfortable stay. The small-plate dishes in the lounge were just right to enjoy before dinner, there was a wide selection of drinks, and the night view was beautiful. I also used the fitness club’s pool and sauna early in the morning. I really appreciated that it has a 25-meter pool, just like my usual sports club. The staff were kind as well. For breakfast, I dined at Nadaman. I debated choosing Western-style breakfast instead, but it was absolutely delicious. I have stayed at this Hotel in Tokyo, Kamikochi, and Osaka. It truly lives up to its reputation for maintaining a level of service that sets it apart from foreign-owned brands. I would love to stay at the Kyoto location someday as well.

    60th Birthday Celebration

    I expected it to be much more crowded during Golden Week, but we were able to relax and enjoy a very peaceful stay. At check-in, the staff kindly congratulated us on the 60th birthday celebration, and we were delighted to find sweets and a message card waiting in our Room. We used two Rooms, and at other Hotels we have sometimes been placed apart or even on different floors, so we truly appreciated being given adjacent Rooms. The warm, smiling service from the front desk staff was especially memorable. When families were taking photos in front of the flowers, they immediately offered to take pictures for them—it was wonderful. We had a Plan that included access to the fitness facilities, and my two nephews thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Every item on the lounge plate menu was delicious, and the baked sweets in particular were impressively high quality. I thought it might be crowded due to Golden Week as well, but our family was able to spend time there at a relaxed pace. As for the Room amenities, especially those from MIKIMOTO, both the fragrance and feel were excellent. We also appreciated that mineral water was replenished during turndown service. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations—everything was so delicious that I would have loved to try even more if I hadn’t been full. There was a wide variety of vegetable juices and breads, and it left an impression how beautifully everything was arranged. The ice cream we purchased at the Hotel shop was also very tasty. At checkout, we were told “We would be happy if you visit us again,” which felt like something you don’t often hear at other Hotels—and it made us want to return. We hesitated until the last minute between this Hotel and another one, but when we called in advance with questions before our stay, they responded very politely as well. Choosing Imperial Hotel Osaka turned out to be absolutely right. It became an unforgettable 60th birthday celebration. Thank you very much.

    Although the cherry blossom season came earlier and our stay was just past full bloom, we were on the riverside, so we could still enjoy the Okawa River cherry blossoms from our Room. Even though I think there were many guests, it was quiet and we were able to relax. We had plans and couldn’t spend much time on the club floor, but I hope to use it next time.     The Imperial Hotel Osaka, as always.

    Although I live in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, I stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka a few times a year. When I book a Room with a mist sauna, nothing beats a draft beer in the lounge after an intense steam session. Snacking on bitter chocolate while sipping a Red Eye is my precious way to blow away everyday fatigue. After enjoying the small-plate dishes, I have a light in-room dining meal back in my Room—then it’s back to the mist sauna and on to the lounge again. I turn in early and start the morning with a hearty buffet. My top breakfast picks are: a salad made by topping lettuce with potato salad and Thousand Island dressing; sweet French toast alongside scrambled eggs topped with sausage and ketchup; and Chinese rice porridge generously piled with fresh zha cai. This three-item set is essential for my mornings at this Hotel. Since the lounge opens at 11:00, don’t forget to fit in one more mist-sauna session before then. That’s my personal 1-night, 2-day relaxation routine at the Imperial Hotel Osaka.

    River-view Room

    This was my first visit since you took care of us for our child’s wedding. I had been meaning to come back, but work kept me too busy to visit. This time, I finally made time and stayed to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. The Imperial Floor was quiet, and at the Imperial Lounge we enjoyed delicious wine and tornado beer. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We took a relaxing walk together around the Okawa area, and for the first time in a while I was able to forget about work and truly unwind. My wife dislikes Hotels that provide overly attentive service—she often says that even though she comes to relax, she can’t if they are too intrusive. At the Imperial Hotel, whenever staff made eye contact with us, they would smoothly come over, take care of what we needed right away, and provide just the right level of attentive yet unobtrusive service. It seems my wife was able to relax comfortably, and after we returned home she said, “Next time let’s go celebrate your birthday.” One point I would like improved: Check-in at the concierge desk was smooth, but check-out could only be done at the front desk and there was a very long line. I thought it would have been even better if check-in/check-out could also be handled at the club lounge like other Hotels. My mother also said that our grandchild’s wedding felt rushed and that she would like to relax next time, so we are planning a Multiple Night Stay in September. We look forward again to enjoying your staff’s warm smiles and smart, professional service.
