    It is a good Hotel.

    This is my second stay this month, and it’s still a great Hotel as always. The breakfast buffet selection is average. It doesn’t really feel like having breakfast at the Imperial Hotel.

    There were several disappointing aspects.

    I had an unpleasant experience in the lounge. The four-item menu I selected was changed without notice and served as a chef’s choice set, and when I pointed out the mistake, I was repeatedly interrupted and told “Please wait a moment” in rapid succession. There were some staff members who were pleasant, but the way those two handled it was so disappointing that I couldn’t enjoy my time in the lounge. The staff at the front desk, fitness center, and breakfast venue were all extremely courteous, so the contrast with the lounge staff was striking. I wish they would learn better hospitality skills—my staycation ended with lingering frustration.

    It seems you upgrade...

    It seems you upgraded our Room to a river view, and it had a great view and plenty of space. I also enjoyed delicious coffee—it was a wonderful time in the Room! However, I took the shuttle bus between Osaka Station and the Hotel during the weekday daytime and evening. Although it was only about 15 minutes, the driving was honestly rough and made me feel carsick, which was very disappointing. The next morning (Saturday) departing from the Hotel was fine, but as I’d like to visit again, I hope you can ensure safe driving.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    I unexpectedly had the chance to meet my daughter, who lives far away, in Osaka, and chose the Imperial Hotel to make it a special stay. As expected of the Imperial Hotel—everything was outstanding. The service was polished, warm, and attentive, and made us feel truly comfortable. We had breakfast, and every dish was delicious. Both the coffee and tea were excellent. The view from our Room of the Okawa River and the lights of Osaka’s buildings was beautiful and soothing. We also enjoyed drinks at the bar in the evening. It was a wonderful bar, and a cocktail called “SAKURA” was both beautiful and delicious. It turned into a fantastic trip. I definitely want to stay again next time.

    The shuttle bus from Osaka Station was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The front desk staff were kind and courteous. The Room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Reasons to Stay!

    This was my first stay in a year. Last month, I visited the Park lobby lounge for the sweets buffet for the first time in a while, and a staff member told me, “Everyone is doing well!” Hearing that the familiar team members were still working hard in their respective sections made me want to see everyone again—so I decided to stay. At this Hotel, I always feel that they truly value heartfelt hospitality from person to person. Of course, what I enjoy about staying includes relaxing in a comfortable Room where I can unwind, spending calm and elegant time at the Imperial Lounge, and enjoying a refreshing escape from everyday life. But my greatest pleasure is being able to see the staff members I’ve known for years. Many have been here for more than ten years even now, and even if their departments change, having opportunities to see them again makes me genuinely happy. What made me especially happy this time was meeting a staff member who transferred two years ago to an affiliated Hotel in Hawaii and has now returned—I was thrilled to see them again after so long. They’ve advanced in their career and become even more wonderful; as a working woman myself, I truly admire them. Seeing their smile gave me so much energy. I always feel that one of the greatest charms of Imperial Hotel Osaka is this continuous connection of people—the strength of its team. During my stay, there’s always an unspoken rhythm—like we’re perfectly in sync—and everything feels thoughtfully taken care of. The comfort is remarkable: attentive without being intrusive. Not only in the moment but also looking ahead to next time, their hospitality makes you think, “I want to come back and see them again.” Their subtle consideration and thoughtful care are always present—and it inevitably makes me want to return. It’s not just about staying overnight; I fully enjoy how my heart feels healed as I’m charmed by the staff’s smiles, conversations, and warm service. The reason I keep coming back is not only for delicious food and drinks or for refreshing myself in such a comfortable space—but above all because seeing everyone’s smiles gives me strength for tomorrow. That’s why I will continue to love Imperial Hotel Osaka.

    Comfortable

    There were a few issues last time, but this stay was comfortable. But since it calls itself “Imperial,” that’s to be expected. It’s always a great Hotel where I can relax, helped by the pleasant surroundings.

    Excellent.

    This was my first time staying here recently. All of the staff were excellent. I used the breakfast buffet, and even though I went during a busy time, there was no waiting when choosing dishes, and everything flowed smoothly. I was able to take my time and enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace. Both the guests and the staff were truly impressive. I’m glad I chose this Hotel.

    As always, a great stay.

    This was my first stay in a year and a half. I sometimes stay at a Hotel to unwind, recover from everyday fatigue, and reset my mind, and I can always relax at Imperial Hotel Osaka—thank you for another wonderful stay. I heard you opened in Kyoto last month as well, but it seems a bit pricey, so it may be difficult for me to stay there. If I have the chance, I would like to stay there someday.

    It was my first stay in a while.

    The Hotel staff’s service was very satisfying. As expected of the Imperial Hotel. However, it was disappointing that the tissue box was empty and that the bathrobe and similar items felt stiff. I feel like the Tokyo property had softer, more comfortable textures. Otherwise, I was satisfied. The Imperial Hotel really is excellent.

    Quality and Comfort Felt During My First Stay

    The Imperial Floor felt especially ideal for guests who want a quiet, relaxing stay. The lounge was excellent, and it was calm and comfortable at any time of day. I appreciated being able to choose 4 of 7 small plates in both the afternoon and evening, though it was a slight disappointment that the menu was the same for both. Decaf coffee would be a welcome addition.\n\nBreakfast at Nadaman was also delicious, with carefully prepared flavors that made for a pleasant start to the day.\n\nThe staff were attentive and warm in a way you would expect from a Japanese Hotel, and their natural sense of timing—checking in when needed without being intrusive—felt very comfortable.\n\nThe Room had high ceilings and felt spacious, housekeeping was thorough, and I had a very comfortable stay overall. Satisfaction was high, and I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Osaka.

    I booked a Superior Room on the Regular Floor, but it was upgraded to the Imperial Floor (no lounge access). The shuttle bus from JR Osaka Station was convenient.

    A clean and comfortable Hotel, even after 30 years

    [Overall] It was just before the 30th anniversary and before the cherry blossoms bloomed, but I had no particular concerns about the atmosphere inside the Hotel or the staff’s service. Since its location is different from Hotels in the busy Umeda area, I would consider staying again. [Breakfast] The restaurant on the 2nd floor served until late, which was very convenient. The buffet had already ended, but I appreciated their considerate individual service. However, because the buffet on the 1st floor has a fairly large capacity, it was a bit bothersome that some seats were far from where the food was laid out. [Facilities / Room] Everything was kept clean and it did not affect the overall atmosphere or comfort. There are many elevators (EVs), so there was no waiting time. However, except for the Imperial Floor, outsiders can access guest floors without security checks, so it may be worth considering elevator renovations from a safety/security standpoint. The Room slippers felt a bit cheap, so I would like them to be softer and more cushioned. [Pool / Spa] Both areas—including wet facilities—felt well maintained and clean. Because the spa area is large it takes some time to get used to it, but the locker room is spacious and staff guidance was attentive. The sauna felt quite dry; I would prefer more humidity such as an auto löyly feature. The cold plunge pool was among Osaka’s coldest—very bracing (though I heard the women’s side was lukewarm). The pool has three spacious 25 m lanes, so capacity and views were quite good overall. That said, there were benches placed close to lanes; depending on how people swim they can get splashed, so removing them might be better. Also, there appeared to be a club-members-only baggage area by the poolside that disrupted the view. Personal items (goggles, caps, etc.) should be self-managed and not left where they are visible around poolside areas. (This was my first time seeing this at an upscale Hotel; it didn’t feel very pleasant.) Lastly, I was cautioned about moving around in slippers outside my Room. In luxury Hotels this is generally acceptable—and sometimes even bathrobes are allowed—but due to separate buildings here it felt stricter than usual. The route from Rooms is somewhat long so this may be unavoidable; still, it’s a minor drawback.

    Wonderful

    I visit Osaka occasionally, but this was my first time staying here as a couple. Everything was excellent—the front desk response, hospitality, and service. We weren’t sure what to do for dinner and considered options with advice from the nearby area map, but in the end we ate at the Hotel restaurant. The cherry blossom view was beautiful, and the food was delicious—we were very satisfied. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

    A relaxing Hotel for adults.

    It was quiet and relaxing, with a beautiful row of cherry blossoms along the Okawa River visible from the Room. I took a walk there with a friend, and after a while we were also able to see the lovely cherry blossoms at the Mint Bureau. The plated dishes in the Hotel lounge felt more luxurious than before and were truly delicious. We enjoyed them at a leisurely pace while taking in the night view. Everyone at Imperial Hotel was, as expected, truly professional—wonderful service that conveyed genuine hospitality, making our stay comfortable from start to finish. I’m happy to be able to visit again during cherry blossom season. Thank you very much for your kind support.

    It was good, but.

    It was my first time staying in a suite. The Hotel staff’s guidance was polished—just what you’d expect from the Imperial Hotel—and it made me excited. The Room was spacious and well maintained, and very clean. However, perhaps because I have a dust allergy, my eyes started itching when I was in the living room. The bedroom was fine. Since we arrived early, I wonder if housekeeping hadn’t fully finished yet. Also, we were told we could access the lounge, so we went there, but at the entrance a staff member said to us in a tone that suggested we didn’t belong: “This is the lounge floor.” We were dressed casually and were with our middle-school-aged child, so maybe that was why, but it was extremely upsetting. We had confirmed that guests aged 13 and over are allowed. Should we have come dressed more formally? Still, I don’t think it’s right for hotel staff to change their attitude based on appearances. The Room service hamburger steak and kids’ set were very delicious. The omelet at the 1F breakfast buffet was made neatly and efficiently right in front of us and tasted great. However, there are many steps/level changes, which I think could be dangerous for elderly guests.

    Savor a refined stay.

    The staff’s hospitality was exceptional—their attentiveness, smiles, and courteous service made a wonderful impression. Everyone, from the front desk and bell staff to the restaurant and shuttle bus team, provided genuinely pleasant service. The breakfast buffet was also high quality, and we were very satisfied! We made our Reservation to coincide with the Mint Bureau cherry blossom walkway. We’re glad we chose to stay at the Imperial Hotel! The view from our Room was outstanding.

    Restaurant and Room Toilets

    Breakfast buffet restaurant: Many of the tables are for two, so it feels a bit cramped—perhaps that’s typical for Tokyo. The Room toilet would be better as a separate room. I understand it can’t be helped since the building is old.

    The view is amazing.

    After reading the Reviews, I had already decided that if I stayed in Osaka, it would be this Hotel. I added one more night to my Kansai itinerary and chose a riverside Room—absolutely the right decision. The view from the Room window was stunning: cherry blossoms in full bloom, a beautiful spring scene with an iconic Osaka bridge and buildings, and even airplanes crossing the sky. In the morning there was sunrise—truly a stay at the height of spring.\n The Superior Twin Room was very practical and comfortable to use. One thing, though: I prefer to soak up to my shoulders, so the bathtub felt shallow. After walking along the river for ages during the cherry blossom festival and ending up with blisters on my feet, it was disappointing not to be able to fully soothe my tired body.\n I also wished there had been something in the Room explaining things clearly—like a cherry blossom festival map, information on Osaka Castle’s illumination, and easy-to-understand nearby transportation options—so we could have enjoyed everything more efficiently.

    We had a comfortable stay.

    The requested amenities were prepared for us, and we had a comfortable stay. The only disappointment was that the bathtub was small, but given that the property is about 30 years old, I suppose it can’t be helped. I’m glad we were able to stay during cherry blossom season.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka. It was cherry blossom season and about 80% of the guests were from overseas, but I was able to relax and enjoy a comfortable two-night stay. The breakfast was also delicious. It felt a little different from the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, but I will stay at the Imperial again next time I visit Osaka.

    So my elderly mother...

    So my elderly mother could enjoy cherry blossoms from the Room, I reserved a river-view Room again this year, just as I did last year. It’s difficult to make an advance Reservation to match the bloom, and last year the blossoms were late and we couldn’t see them at all… This year we stayed on the third day after the official bloom announcement. They were still only just starting to open, but we were able to admire their delicate beauty. I used to work nearby when the Hotel and OAP had only recently opened, and walking along the Okawa River to view the cherry blossoms at full bloom is still one of my annual traditions. On the opposite bank from the Hotel there are some trees with low branches, and there are spots where you can enjoy the blossoms up close, almost surrounded by them. There is also a small shrine called “Sakuramiya,” full of charm, with beautiful cherry trees in its grounds—highly recommended for anyone staying during cherry blossom season. The Hotel itself has a stately atmosphere that feels rich with history, offering an overwhelming sense of elegance and hospitality. It’s a calming place where you can truly experience Japanese hospitality and refinement. The Room has very high ceilings and feels wonderfully spacious. The amenities are also well stocked. For breakfast this time as well—at my mother’s request—we chose Nadaman. As always, it was consistently delicious. This time we could choose between grilled salmon or roast beef; we both chose roast beef. It was cut into easy-to-eat pieces (even with chopsticks) and tasted excellent. The white rice (Milky Queen) was so good that I finished every last bite. The area around the Hotel is relatively quiet and residential, but it’s actually a gourmet spot dotted with small eateries here and there. A food walk is also highly recommended.

    Despite the high Review ratings...

    I chose the Imperial Hotel for a two-night, three-day stay because it has highly rated Reviews. As it is the 30th anniversary since opening, the aging of the Facility is hard to ignore. The lower part of the entrance door to Café Couvert had been patched with vinyl tape. I expected the breakfast venue to be crowded during spring break, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and food replenishment was insufficient. When I needed ice, I called room service more than 10 times on three separate occasions. There was no answer, so I gave up. Does room service have limited hours? I called at around 7:00 a.m. I used the shuttle bus. The corner of the step used for boarding and alighting was peeling up and extremely dangerous. Please repair or replace it as soon as possible.

    Osaka Trip

    This was my first stay, and I was amazed by how attentive the staff were—far beyond what I expected from the Reviews. The hallways and Room were spotless, making this a Hotel where I felt truly comfortable. The service at the front desk and in the club lounge was also extremely courteous and excellent. Both my child and I were very satisfied with our stay! Thank you very much.

    This is my favorite Hotel where I can always feel safe and comfortable.

    We visited again as a couple. No matter when we come, everyone welcomes us with a smile. Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms were hardly in bloom this time, but the view from the Room always makes us feel calm and relaxed. This is something I have felt since our previous stay, but it seems like the bed has become firmer than before. Both my husband and I ended up with back pain, couldn’t sleep well, and woke up many times during the night. We used to be able to sleep soundly until morning, so this is a point of concern. For breakfast lately we have been choosing the Western-style option. There is a wide variety of dishes, and we especially love the omelet. The staff are also very pleasant, and we are able to enjoy a wonderful morning time there.

    The service was excellent.

    All the staff were truly kind. The Imperial-style cherry blossoms in the lobby and the beautifully made bed in the Room made for an elegant, restful sleep. At La Saison, everything was outstanding—the night view, service, and food. Above all, the assistant manager who served us was very kind, and we enjoyed our conversation. We even received a greeting from the chef at the end—it felt like a dream. This is my regular Accommodation in Osaka. Thank you again.

    The middle day of a three-day holiday weekend

    We stayed as a family with two children. The staff were efficient and welcoming, which left a strong impression. The Room did not support Netflix.
