    Wonderful!

    This was my first visit. Amid the growing number of foreign-named hotels, this hotel's nostalgic name stands out! Once you step inside, it feels like a different world—a truly special experience! The atmosphere is luxurious yet not overly formal, offering a very comfortable vibe. The staff's service is excellent! The food in the lounge is simple yet of high quality. I enjoyed meals at both the lounge and the on-site dining facilities, and I was thoroughly satisfied! It feels like just sleeping here would be a waste!? I was reminded of how wonderful staying at a hotel can be after such a long time!

    This was my second t...

    This was my second time using the Espacio Lounge. It was livelier than before, which was nice, but it coincided with some event, creating a slightly hectic atmosphere. As someone seeking relaxation, I preferred the impression from my previous visit. That said, the Room was sophisticated and provided an extraordinary experience. However, for such a high-grade Room, not having USB cables available in the Room was very inconvenient and I hope this can be improved. If given the chance, I would love to stay again.

    Accommodation after 10 years

    We returned after a wonderful previous stay. The front desk has moved to the 6th floor, improving the atmosphere on the 1st floor. With convenient access from Nagoya Station, we had an enjoyable time as a family.

    Comfortable Espacio Floor

    The room was spacious, beautifully designed with sophisticated interiors. The layout was well thought out, making it feel like a "hotel you'd want to live in." The lounge had a calm atmosphere with ample space, providing great comfort. However, the food presentation during each service time showed some delays overall. There were moments when only the menu card was present while the space remained empty for an extended period, which was somewhat disappointing both visually and emotionally. Since each service time lasts about two hours, it would be appreciated if more attention and management could be provided during that period. There are few hotels in Nagoya offering such comfortable lounges, so please continue your efforts without compromising on price or service quality!

    Indulge in a luxurious time for yourself.

    As a reward for myself, I often stay at accommodations with club floors in Nagoya. This time, I discovered Espacio for the first time through IKYU.com's "Popular Hotels with Club Floors" recommendations. The lounge on the top floor was highly satisfying at all times of the day, with everything consistently replenished and each item of exceptional quality. If I had to point out one thing, it would be the nightcap time. I was looking forward to cocktails but was told that cocktail service is not available. At other hotel lounges without cocktail-making services, some provide ingredients and recipes so guests can make their own drinks. It would be nice to enjoy even a few signature or hot cocktails suitable for nightcaps. Additionally, there was a subtle humidity-like smell in the guest room that caught my attention. Offering amenities like an aroma diffuser for loan or bath salts upon request could extend a sense of hospitality through fragrance within the room. The staff throughout the hotel were truly professional—attentive without being overbearing—and always provided cheerful assistance when needed, making my solo trip both comfortable and luxurious. For now, this will likely be my go-to choice when selecting accommodations in Nagoya!

    Excellent

    Stayed on a special floor during the first weekend of September. It seemed less crowded, likely due to the end of the busy summer season. Although the accommodation plan allowed check-in from 2 PM, I arrived just after 1 PM and was grateful to be able to check in immediately as my room was ready. My room was also upgraded, which was a pleasant surprise. The room itself lived up to all the reviews—sophisticated amenities and nothing to complain about except that a full-length mirror would have made it perfect. The exclusive lounge for this floor was quiet and relaxing due to fewer guests, which I greatly appreciated. Among hotels in Nagoya with special floor-exclusive lounges, this one is my top recommendation. However, I gave two stars for dining because although I reserved Japanese cuisine for dinner through the lounge (separate from my accommodation plan), it didn’t suit my taste, which was disappointing.

    Wonderful!

    I was looking forward to the lounge's afternoon tea time, but since I couldn't make it in time for the concert, I only had coffee, which was very delicious. After returning from the concert, I was happy to see that the food wasn't all gone—many lounges these days don't replenish food. The amazake and fruits were also very tasty, and having fresh juice and hot dishes in the morning was fantastic! The room wear and towels were so soft that they made me feel happy. There were Bulgari shampoos provided, but is it meant to be shared between two people? That part was a bit disappointing. I have already made a reservation for November when there will be another concert. I'm looking forward to it! Thank you for taking care of us and providing such a wonderful experience.

    Overall, it was great!

    There were a couple of moments where I thought, "Huh? Why?" (laughs), but the follow-up was thorough, so I didn’t feel bad. The Room was clean and spacious, and the Facility was well-equipped. Having a kitchen and washing machine in the Room was very convenient! The lounge wasn’t crowded, and it was comfortable to spend time there all day. I felt that the Espacio Floor offered excellent value for money, so I think I’ll stay here again!

    Overall, we are very satisfied.

    The staff were very kind, making my stay extremely satisfying. When I was flustered and lost, a staff member kindly approached me and guided me, which was truly touching. The room was spacious and comfortable, and above all, it was impeccably clean—this left a great impression! The amenities were from Bulgari, adding a luxurious touch that I appreciated. I also loved the complimentary welcome sweets and drinks in the refrigerator; they were very helpful and delightful. However, I did notice some issues on the 6th-floor accommodation-exclusive area that could be improved for cleanliness. There were long hairs on the sofa, which seemed worn out with age; tables were dirty; spills around the drink bar made it unpleasant to use. It would also be nice to have more variety in snacks available there. At the restaurant, while everyone provided excellent service overall during our meal experience, there seemed to be some lack of attentiveness after dishes arrived until we finished eating—staff appeared busy but less approachable during those moments regarding requests like billing directly at seating areas felt slightly frustrating given we paid Service Fee already expecting smoother coordination. Overall though—I’m still highly satisfied overall & look forward returning next time visiting Nagoya!

    I like this Hotel.

    When visiting Nagoya, I always stay here. It's a calm and relaxing place to spend your time. It's also close to Fushimi Station, so walking is no problem. The breakfast is delicious no matter what you choose. Highly recommended.

    Very good Hotel

    As a historic Hotel, the staff provided exceptionally attentive service, making it truly wonderful. The Room had a slightly vintage feel but was impeccably clean, allowing for a comfortable stay. I only tried the breakfast buffet, but with various restaurants available, I’d like to explore other options next time. The location near Fushimi Station was convenient for getting around anywhere. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Nagoya.

    Why is the humidity in the Room high?

    The hotel staff I encountered provided excellent service in every aspect. They responded promptly to any questions, greeted me with a warm "Welcome" and a smile whenever we met, and not a single person showed any sign of displeasure or inconvenience. Even the cleaning staff in the hallways were genuinely pleasant. The breakfast was included and served buffet-style, offering a good variety without anything unnecessary. I was very satisfied. The lounge available to all guests provided a relaxing space to unwind. There were also plenty of restaurant options—truly impressive. However, if I had to point out one issue, it would be the high humidity in the room. My blouse and jeans dampened by sweat did not dry at all even when hung on hangers inside the closet or placed on the sofa in the room. Hanging them on the bathroom drying rack didn’t help either. Although I had turned off the air purifier (with humidifier function), I'm unsure what caused this issue—the air conditioning was set at 24°C. During my two-night stay, using blankets made me feel too hot while leaving my feet uncovered felt too cold... I almost wanted to request a dehumidifier rental. Other than that, everything else was truly perfect!

    I have been using this Hotel when visiting Nagoya since last year. Being an established Hotel with great convenience, I felt it was a safe and reliable choice. However, my impression has slightly changed compared to last year. While I prefer not to go into specific details as it might be misinterpreted in today's climate, in short, it feels like the "prestige" has diminished. The sense of grandeur and formality upon entering the Hotel seems to have faded—not just because I’ve become accustomed to it but also because the feeling of being genuinely welcomed seems weaker. The unique atmosphere expected from a long-established Hotel is harder to feel now. As I don’t visit frequently, staying here was meant as an occasional indulgence; however, this time, I was disappointed that there were no conversations or services that truly made me think "as expected" from such a renowned establishment.

    The best Hotel I stayed at this year.

    Stayed for a business trip. The experience started with a relaxing check-in while seated, followed by a clean Room equipped with Bulgari amenities and high-quality linens (the bath mat was impressively large). The bed was very comfortable, making the stay extremely pleasant. Although I initially booked a Plan without meals and planned to dine out, the cozy atmosphere made me opt for room service instead. The menu was extensive, and the dishes were delicious. The staff were courteous, and despite the luxurious feel of the hotel, I found it to be exceptionally affordable. I’ve decided this will always be my choice when visiting Nagoya. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Thank you for your hospitality during our visit to the Tokugawa Art Museum.

    Thank you for accommodating us for one night as we visited the Tokugawa Art Museum with my son and retired husband. Despite the intense heat, we had a comfortable and enjoyable time on the Espacio Floor as expected. Even my family, who often have many requests, were satisfied. I usually feel exhausted and irritated after trips due to laundry upon returning home, but having a washing machine in the Room made things so much easier. The Room's setup is perfect for long stays—I hope to stay longer next time!

    Comfortable summer stays in Nagoya

    I have stayed at various hotels with my parents, but this was the best accommodation experience. I originally have allergies and managed my symptoms with daily cleaning and laundry, but my hand eczema worsened slightly due to an increase in cats at home. However, after staying on the Espacio Floor of this hotel, my skin completely cleared up by checkout. The lounge was also very satisfying. The decaf cappuccino, sweets, the room's bed, bathroom shower—all were comfortable—and having a washing machine made it perfect. I would definitely love to stay here again!

    A great Hotel for a stopover during your trip

    The first impression was excellent, so I chose this Hotel as a stopover for the second time. This time, my Room was upgraded, and champagne was provided as a special treat, which I greatly appreciated. However... there was dust in the Room... even on the table with the champagne glasses. As I have a dust allergy, I woke up the next morning constantly blowing my nose (I turned on the air purifier, but it didn’t help). My husband didn’t seem to mind though. The Hotel staff's service was impeccable as expected from a high-class establishment, and the breakfast buffet had quite an impressive selection. The kishimen noodles, egg dishes, and desserts were particularly delicious. Unfortunately, due to the dust in the Room, it left me with a disappointing impression of my stay overall.

    The hotel staff are amazing!

    There were some questions about the placement of the kitchen and refrigerator, but overall it was excellent, including the cost performance. Above all, every Hotel staff member was amazing. This is a Hotel I definitely want to visit again.

    The best Hotel!

    I usually stay at my favorite hotel in Nagoya, but since it was a special occasion, I decided to choose this hotel that I had been curious about for a while. The location was excellent and very convenient for getting around anywhere. What impressed me the most was the outstanding service provided by the staff! The staff on the club floor were quick to handle upgrades and worked efficiently. They were always smiling and very pleasant, even helping us make dinner reservations at the restaurant, which was a great help. A young male staff member at the buffet restaurant also left a great impression with his friendly demeanor and recommendations for dishes, making our meal enjoyable. Although I had planned a multiple night stay in Nagoya, I felt so relaxed and fulfilled here that I wished I had stayed longer at this accommodation! I will definitely return again—thank you so much!

    The taxi...

    The front desk arranged a taxi reservation (830) for me the day before to match my early morning train from Nagoya, especially since heavy rain was forecasted. I checked out a bit early and went downstairs around 825. I gave my name to the doorman, but he asked me to wait on the sofa nearby. There was no update for a while, no sign of the taxi arriving, and no explanation from the staff. Eventually, a staff member went out onto the main street to look for a taxi. By the time it was almost 840, I was finally guided into a taxi with just an "apologies for waiting" from the staff. Thankfully, despite the rain, traffic was light so everything worked out in time—but it left me feeling anxious and wishing someone could understand that experience... There was also a rubber band under the hairdryer (perhaps left by a previous guest?), but other than that there were no major complaints. Breakfast is always great as well!

    Highly satisfied

    I stayed at the accommodation to watch a baseball game at Nagoya Dome. Originally, I had reserved for Saturday, but since my Friday stay was decided last minute, only smoking rooms were available. However, thanks to the hotel's thoughtful consideration, they arranged for me to have a non-smoking room for both Friday and Saturday as a multiple night stay. As I am a smoker, it wouldn't have bothered me much, but it was helpful since my wife is not fond of smoking. The hospitality of the hotel staff was also excellent, and I truly felt that this is one of Nagoya's representative hotels in every aspect. If given the chance, I would love to use this accommodation again.

    Glad we chose the Espacio Room!

    A trip to Nagoya after a long time. For our 2-night stay, we chose a convenient Room with Club Lounge access! After much consideration, we decided on the Espacio Room. Check-in and check-out were conveniently located on the 18th floor. The Espacio Floor requires a room key for access, which made us feel very secure. Although it’s a historic Hotel, the rooms were beautifully maintained and very functional. The spacious bathroom was also a deciding factor! We visited the lounge at various times and found the staff to be cheerful and attentive, with food replenished promptly, making our experience very pleasant. There was also a wide variety of alcoholic beverages that my husband enjoyed thoroughly. Additionally, there were many types of tea available; I even discovered one I plan to purchase for home use! At Yanagijo within the Hotel, we had a seafood cold noodle set for dinner. The staff kindly explained how to best enjoy it, and it was absolutely delicious! We had such a relaxing stay that we’re already looking forward to choosing this Hotel again next time!

    It was a wonderful Espacio time.

    We stayed at Espacio for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff on the Espacio floor were friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which made our stay delightful. The room was clean and equipped with a washing machine, making our stay comfortable. A laundry basket would be convenient for used towels and other items. The lounge offered a wide variety of drinks and food, which was satisfying, and the view from the high floors was excellent. We were surprised to find hitsumabushi served for breakfast. As expected in Nagoya, we thoroughly enjoyed local flavors like chicken wings, red miso soup, and Nagoya-style oden. The chilled pumpkin soup and soft bread were also delicious. We look forward to staying again in the future! Thank you very much!

    Our couple's trip to Nagoya became a truly wonderful memory.

    We stayed in a twin room with a breakfast buffet for two nights during our couple's trip. To conclude, this is definitely the Hotel we would like to use again when visiting Nagoya. Here are the main highlights: - The staff's hospitality was exceptional. - The building's exterior and interior were elegant and clean. - The Room was spacious and spotless. - Amenities such as the TV, hairdryer, and kettle were from well-known brands. - Convenient location near Fushimi Station, making it easy to access famous tourist spots. - The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options. Since we booked about a month in advance on a weekday, we were able to take advantage of an excellent Plan at great value with no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended for guests of all ages! We kindly ask all visitors to maintain good manners during their stay as well!
