    Wonderful Hotel

    This was my first stay, and it was a wonderful Hotel. The lobby on the first floor was spacious and had a calm atmosphere. As soon as I entered, a staff member greeted me, and after I told them I was checking in, they guided me to complete the check-in procedures at a relaxed pace on the 6th floor. The Room was on a high floor with a great view, and it felt peaceful and comfortable. I also liked the classic door. The 24-hour drink bar was great as well. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I was very satisfied. I came by car, so I really appreciated that there were plenty of parking spaces available free of charge. I already have another Reservation for next time, so I’m really looking forward to it.

    A Comfortable Space

    I was staying in Nagoya alone and expected to arrive late, but I still wanted to relax, so I looked for a place that would let me unwind. Many nice hotels have a refined, minimalist design that can feel a bit stark, but I chose this Hotel because of its classic atmosphere and the breakfast looked appealing. The Room had a lovely feel, and the guest lounge was also very pleasant, so I was able to spend my time comfortably. The breakfast bread was delicious as well. I would like to stay here again when I visit Nagoya. Thank you very much.

    A lovely, classic Hotel

    The staff’s presence and the elegant front desk reception. This is a truly wonderful Hotel. You can feel the excellence of a long-established property and the hospitality of Japanese Hotels—it’s genuine, not an imitation. It’s a Hotel where you can also sense tradition. I want to keep staying here for years to come. Thank you always.

    The meals are not good.

    I stayed for two nights on weekdays in late July. I pulled up to the entrance by car, but no one came out. Is this the Tengu Hotel? When I went inside, two staff members were chatting. Even after they saw me, they didn’t move right away. I got to my Room. It was quite nice, and I liked it. There are no USB ports in the Room. After looking around, I found them on the TV. A light bulb was out, so when I contacted them, the front desk staff who handled check-in replaced it for me. Thank you very much. Breakfast had about five large shared plates of unnecessary snack-like items, and I wondered if they were leftovers reused from the night before. Is the milk processed milk? The breakfast staff also seemed to have an arrogant attitude as well. Next time, I’ll check out another Hotel.

    It was wonderful.

    I stayed here with my partner, and we both had a wonderful time. We were upgraded, which made our stay even more special. The Room felt elegant and substantial, and it was a very comfortable space. Every staff member we interacted with was excellent and truly hospitable. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Nagoya. Next time, I’d also like to explore other areas within the Facility.

    I felt truly elegant.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. You kindly upgraded our Room, and sparkling wine was prepared in the Room as well. It was perfect for staying the night before my son’s wedding, and we were able to spend a truly elegant time. The lobby decorations were also wonderful. With the Diamond benefit, our checkout time was extended to 2:00 p.m., but because we had to attend the wedding, we needed to check out early in the morning… We would have loved to relax and stay longer. When we visit Nagoya again, we would definitely like to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

    Conveniently located near Misonoza.

    It was conveniently located near Misonoza. They upgraded our Room to a more spacious one. The shower and bathtub were combined in one unit. The Room had a great selection of tea and juice, and the plum tea was especially nice when we were tired. When we asked for recommended nearby restaurants, they gave us a printed list, which was very helpful—both the eel lunch and seafood dinner options were excellent. Breakfast was a buffet with desserts as well, and it was more than sufficient.

    A true long-established establishment.

    This time, we drove from Tokyo in the evening and arrived at night, but we were warmly welcomed. We were upgraded, and sparkling wine was prepared in our Room, which helped us unwind after the long drive. With our late-night arrival, the late check-out was also very helpful. It had been a while since our last stay, but as expected of one of Nagoya’s leading Hotels—it’s still as wonderful as ever.

    A Wonderful Time

    I felt a little disappointed that the lounge closes at 9:00 PM, but I suppose that’s to be expected in a business district. I truly appreciated the pleasant service in the lobby, the lounge, and at the check-in desk. It really showed why this is such a long-established Hotel. I checked in late at night for work, but next time I’d like to stay longer and enjoy breakfast and the bar as well. Thank you very much.

    Traveling to Nagoya with my daughter.

    This was my first stay here. At check-in, each guest had their own table and chair, and the courteous service made us feel truly welcomed. Thank you for upgrading our Room. My daughter was thrilled by the surprise. A spacious, classic Room and a lounge where you can relax at ease. In the lounge, we enjoyed the book collection, soft drinks, and local sweets. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious. It’s easy to end up eating too much. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to check in earlier next time and take my time.

    It was very comfortable.

    This was my first stay since the renovation, and both the facilities and amenities were on par with international hotels, making it very comfortable. It feels a step above other hotels in Nagoya in the same price range, and if you don’t mind being a little away from the terminal and downtown area, I think it offers the highest overall satisfaction.

    A truly elegant, extraordinary stay experience

    It was a very comfortable, elegant, and truly special stay, and we are sincerely grateful. The only thing we found puzzling was that there were large eco-friendly pump bottles of shampoo and conditioner, but no body wash. Since there was a bar soap, we used that instead; however, if possible, we would appreciate it if you could also provide body wash. Thank you again for your continued support.

    Experience Nagoya’s most distinguished long-established elegance and quiet luxury.

    Having held our wedding at Nagoya Kanko Hotel in the past, we already expected a high level of quality—but this stay on the Espacio Floor added an extra layer of luxury. The Espacio Floor is accessible only to a limited number of guests, and it felt as if there were another quiet luxury hotel tucked inside this long-established Hotel. The guest room struck an excellent balance between fresh, updated design and the calm elegance you would expect from a classic property. The bathroom also felt upscale, and for longer stays the room is even equipped with a kitchen and a drum-type washer/dryer. There is an exclusive lounge, and after check-in we were able to relax during afternoon tea time. Alcoholic drinks such as beer are also available, so even guests who don’t have much of a sweet tooth should feel comfortable. Although more tall buildings have gone up nearby, the view is still quite pleasant; you can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the scenery through large windows. We had breakfast in the lounge as well. Rather than focusing on sheer variety, it delivers satisfaction through the quality of each item. The onigiri and omelets were carefully prepared, allowing us to start the day with a calm and fulfilling morning. For dinner, the front desk kindly recommended family-friendly options for dining with children, and we made a Reservation at “Kuretake,” the Japanese restaurant inside the Hotel. We also used in-room dining for a late-night meal; its wide menu selection, quick service, and consistently excellent taste were all impressive. I was the only one to use the pool, but it had an escape-like atmosphere that reminded me of an overseas hotel—and perhaps because I happened to be alone there, it was wonderfully quiet. Swimsuits and goggles are available to borrow as well, so you can enjoy it without bringing anything. The only drawback might be that getting from your room to the separate building can feel complicated—almost like navigating a maze. There are minor points typical of an older building—such as tight parking—that may stand out. Even so, they are outweighed by Nagoya’s most established Hotel-level reliability in service and by the serene luxury unique to staying on the Espacio Floor. The display in front of the main entrance on Level 1 captivates us every time. We were able to spend an early-summer holiday at ease in a luxurious space far removed from everyday life.

    This was my first time using it, and I was very satisfied.

    This was my first stay, and I had a wonderful time in a truly luxurious space. I especially loved the spacious lounge. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Unfortunately, the hospitality is lacking.

    All IKYU Diamond Member benefits were applied, the food was excellent, the Room was wonderful, and the bed was superb. The large public bath, pool, gym, and other Facilities were also outstanding, so we definitely received the Hotel’s full range of services. However, although I noted in the Reservation comments that we were staying to celebrate my wife’s birthday, none of the staff offered any congratulatory words, and there was no message card in the Room. It was disappointing and felt lacking in hospitality. To be honest, all we wanted was a simple “Happy Birthday.” That said, it’s a great Hotel with a convenient location and well-equipped Facilities, so we will stay again when visiting family. Thank you for your hospitality.

    This is Nagoya’s most attentive, relaxing Hotel.

    Whenever we visit Nagoya, we always stay here as a couple. It’s also my wife’s favorite Hotel in Nagoya, so it’s truly a great help. The Espacio Floor, in particular, is truly wonderful.

    We appreciate the upgrade, but…

    Thank you for upgrading us to the Espacio Room. At check-in, we were only told that we had been upgraded, with no explanation of what the Espacio Room included. Also, there were fewer take-home amenities than expected, so we did not really feel the benefit of the upgrade. The service at check-in/check-out was not very friendly and felt somewhat intimidating. On our next stay, we do not need the IKYU perk champagne. Alcohol is harmful to me. The Room itself was very clean and well maintained, so we were able to relax.

    It is a good, unpretentious Hotel—a calm and reassuring place. It stands apart from trendy, foreign-branded names and chain Hotels, and I hope you will keep up the good work. Personally, I would like to see some improvement in the Japanese-style breakfast.

    Once again, we were completely satisfied with our stay this year.

    As I did last year, I stayed here to coincide with watching a baseball game at Vantelin Dome. Thanks to my Diamond benefits, my Room was upgraded, and once again I had a very satisfying stay. In addition to the free parking, I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture of delivering a newspaper. Above all, I was impressed by the staff’s courteous and pleasant service, which made my entire stay comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.

    Long time no see.

    I regularly travel to Nagoya for business and stay at a Hotel each time. Since it’s not for sightseeing, I choose places that are reasonably priced and have convenient parking. This time, after a while, I stayed at Kanko Hotel again. Unlike before, the front desk is now on the 6th floor, which made check-in possible in a calmer setting. There were also complimentary soft drinks available, which I personally really appreciated. The IKYU Diamond benefits were also a nice bonus, and from next time on, Kanko Hotel will be my top choice when considering where to stay.

    It was wonderful.

    I stayed here for the first time while looking for an Accommodation within walking distance of Misonoza. The lobby was elegant and beautiful, and I felt relaxed in the spacious atmosphere. It was so large that I couldn’t find the front desk at first (it’s on the 6th floor). The breakfast venue was Italian, but they also offered Hatcho miso soup and miso katsu, so I could enjoy Nagoya flavors. The Room had a wonderful view, and I was able to relax very comfortably. I wasn’t feeling well during my stay, but I never felt cold in bed and truly appreciated how comfortable it was. It was also nice that the guest age group was generally calm and mature.

    Kagoya Kanko Hotel is the number one hotel in Nagoya City.

    I’ve stayed at most of the major Hotels in Nagoya over the past 40 years, and I feel that Nagoya Kanko Hotel is the most relaxing. The staff service, the atmosphere of the Room, and the dining all suit my preferences. If I had one request, it would be that the parking area is a bit narrow.

    Thank you for your hospitality. We were upgraded to a wonderful Room, and we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. We are also grateful for the kind and helpful service from all the staff. Since we chose a Plan without meals, we would like to try the dining options in the Hotel next time.

    The service at Espacio is excellent.

    I enjoy using club lounges and stay at various Hotels. Recently, Hotel rates in Tokyo have risen so much that some places feel out of reach. Nagoya doesn’t seem quite as expensive yet, and this club lounge (Espacio) was reasonably priced and easy to use. Despite that, the offerings were excellent, and I was especially satisfied with the afternoon tea. It’s a bit far from Nagoya Station, which may be why it’s more affordable. The spa and gym are also available, and there is a small bathing Facility as well. The lobby was beautifully decorated with many flowers. Both the staff and the Room were great. It seems the IKYU Diamond member benefits have changed recently, but even so, the service is more than sufficient—truly exceptional. This was my third stay in Nagoya, but from now on I plan to choose this Hotel without hesitation. Thank you very much.

    It seems there were many disappointing things…

    We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Do the Facilities vary significantly depending on the Room? We made a Reservation thinking it would be a larger Room, but because there was a large kitchen area, the usable living space felt about the same as a lower-tier Room. The bath and toilet were combined, and even the sink faucet was separated into hot and cold, which was honestly inconvenient. I wish the toilet were separate and there were a proper washing area. The furniture was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The location of the pajamas was hard to find—I searched all over the Room. I also truly could not find the bathrobe and couldn’t use it at all. Where was it? At check-in, we were asked which newspaper we wanted, but when I replied “No preference,” they said, “Then none—so you don’t need a newspaper.” I thought, “I never said I didn’t want one,” but we were exhausted and didn’t feel like arguing. We also mentioned that we were staying for our wedding anniversary, but in the Room there was only the usual card saying “Please enjoy your stay.” A short note saying “Happy anniversary” would have made us very happy. We used the breakfast buffet as well: it was hard to tell where to find menu labels; there were no rice bowls set out; even though there was an omelet chef present, they wouldn’t make one on request and instead gave off an attitude of “Just take one of these cold pre-made ones.” (If so, why have an open-kitchen setup at all?) Items weren’t replenished or replenishment was slow; we had heard French toast is their signature dish, but it had far too much salt on it, was hard, and not tasty; there was only one type each of tea and coffee—even though multiple options are available in the lounge, so why not offer those here too? Also, having plates cleared without being asked made me almost say something—but then I wondered why I should have to point out something so basic. It felt very unpleasant. If staff cannot speak Japanese, that’s fine—English is fine too—but please speak to guests properly before clearing dishes. Since this visit was on a weekday during this season, perhaps new staff training is taking place—but wouldn’t it be better to provide more training before putting them on the floor? The lobby, lounge, hallways—all felt dignified and impressive—but unfortunately we did not feel any genuine intention from staff to make guests happy. We had been looking forward to staying at this long-established Hotel in Nagoya, so this experience was truly disappointing.

    Nagoya Regular Accommodation

    We stayed in a Twin Room while sightseeing in Ise. This historic, charming Hotel is conveniently located just one stop from Nagoya Station and only a few minutes from the nearest station. At check-in, we were told our Reservation had been upgraded to a larger Room, which felt like a waste for just one night. The semi-double bed was comfortable, and the spacious bathroom was very pleasant to use.
