    There were no face towels.

    The Hotel is traditional and wonderful, but only hand towels and bath towels were provided. Face towels are usually available, but could it be for cost-saving reasons?

    It was a comfortable stay.

    I enjoyed a clean and comfortable room for the night. The inclusion of parking fees in the accommodation cost was appealing, but the parking location was hard to find. Upon check-in, I ended up at a different exit from the hotel, and during check-out, it took some time to locate where I had parked, which was slightly inconvenient.

    The old is new again!

    First and foremost, we highly recommend guests to experience the charm of the "Classic Floor: General Floor" rather than just staying on the Espacio Floor. This is where you can truly feel the essence of "The Emperor's Accommodation, Meikan." We encourage you to try staying on floors other than the Espacio Floor! "The Guesthouse of Central Japan and The Emperor's Accommodation, Meikan" has recently introduced a unique structure that sets it apart. The check-in counter for guests has been removed from the first floor. Instead, all guests (except those staying on the Espacio Floor) are directed to a check-in desk located on the 6th floor, which also features a complimentary drink station and Nagoya-style snacks—a space that functions as a casual lounge. This lounge offers an extensive selection of soft drinks from machines similar to those found in family restaurants, along with high-quality coffee machines and various tea options including herbal teas. Guests can also enjoy four types of snacks such as sweet red bean cookies, Guppy Ramune candies, and Kaki-no-Tane crackers—all available 24/7 for self-service (similar to lounges in Kyoto’s accommodation-focused hotels). Despite its simplicity as a lounge/library hybrid space, its design rivals that of club lounges in other hotels. Moreover, this space avoids unnecessary food items—perfect for those who simply want something light when thirsty! It’s an ideal spot for relaxation. One must-see feature at this hotel is its first-floor lobby. While it may appear understated at first glance, it boasts luxurious materials used extensively across walls and floors—materials so rare today they would be nearly impossible to replicate now. You can almost envision how local business leaders enthusiastically created this masterpiece during Japan’s economic boom era with aspirations of building "Nagoya's Guesthouse." Additionally noteworthy are their Chinese restaurant, basement oden eatery, pastry shop cakes, and bread—all exceptionally delicious! Truly deserving recognition as "Meikan: A Culinary Delight," I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here while appreciating these offerings.

    Cold Treatment for Diamond Benefits

    I stay at Nagoya Kanko Hotel every month (including dining at the restaurant), but recently, I have not received any upgrades through the IKYU Diamond benefits, which is disappointing. There has been no prior notice about the benefits or alternative proposals, making it hard to feel privileged as a Diamond member. While I enjoy the hotel's atmosphere and restaurant, this "cold treatment" lowers my motivation to return. This stay made me reconsider the significance of Diamond benefits.

    A solemn impression

    The Room and front desk had a luxurious feel, allowing for a quiet and relaxing stay. Amenities were well-equipped, and the breakfast was delicious. Although I didn’t use the first floor much except for entering and exiting, it felt somewhat lonely. The location is excellent and convenient for sightseeing in Nagoya.

    I would love to stay here again.

    This was my first time staying in Nagoya, as it had always been just a passing point during my trips home. The service was exceptionally attentive. The room was clean and tidy. The check-in floor felt like a stylish bookstore, creating a relaxing atmosphere right upon arrival. I also appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks. I would love to stay at this hotel again if given the chance.

    Inspired by Change

    During my previous stay, I was disappointed with the breakfast as it didn’t meet my expectations. Although I hesitated this time, I decided to give it another try since the dinner venue was nearby. Despite the excellent reviews, I visited without high expectations. However, both the service and especially the breakfast had significantly improved, with a noticeable upgrade in quality. Everything was delicious and impressive. I could feel the effort made by the accommodation team. I will definitely visit again. P.S. Regarding amenities, it would be great if shampoo and other items were provided for each guest.

    Elegant Hotel

    I accidentally made a reservation for a smoking room on a weekday, but I was moved by the thoughtful service when they not only changed it to a non-smoking room but also upgraded my room. The staff were all very kind. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes and was very delicious. When staying in Nagoya, Nagoya Kanko Hotel is my only choice.

    It keeps getting better.

    I visited after about six months, and it has improved even more. Personally, I loved the Kinshachi beer that was available before, so I would appreciate it if you could consider bringing it back (I was happy to see my favorite Kagome juice still available and hope it continues). The service during lounge use and when requesting rental items was warm and welcoming. Nagoya offers many delicious foods, including the meals at your Hotel, so I look forward to visiting again for another gourmet trip. (The breakfast dishes using Hatcho miso—the main salmon dish and French toast—were very delicious.)

    A quiet and relaxing Hotel

    Stayed for one night to watch a performance at Misonoza. The Hotel has a quiet and calm atmosphere, giving an impression of being an adult-oriented place. However, it was disappointing that there was no shower cap. Enjoyed tea in the lounge and had a luxurious time.

    The front desk is located on the 6th floor, allowing for a more attentive check-in and check-out experience. The rooms have a calm atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The amenities are luxurious and of excellent quality. Additionally, the complimentary parking during your stay is a great feature that makes you want to return again.

    You can stay with peace of mind.

    A long-established hotel representing Nagoya. Recently, even business hotels have been focusing on improving their services and enhancing amenities. However, this hotel stands out with its overall high quality. This includes the spaciousness of the rooms and common areas, the quality of furnishings, and the attentiveness of the staff. In an era where staff shortages are often lamented, the quality of service here is significantly superior to that of newer hotels. While there may be some signs of age, it remains a reliable place to stay. It is unfortunate that there are no Onsen or spa facilities, but it is understandable.

    A Moment of Relaxation

    This time, I stayed at two different Hotels in Nagoya City and experienced their unique features. At this Hotel, I was able to enjoy a late check-out until 2:00 PM, allowing me to relax comfortably. However, going to a different floor to get ice felt a bit inconvenient.

    The attentive service from the Hotel staff from arrival to departure was excellent. When I was leaving, they kindly went to the Room to check for any forgotten items. Although the item I thought I had forgotten was actually with me, they found another item I didn’t realize I had left behind and brought it to me! Amazing, great job, I'll be back!

    Perfect for an adult getaway.

    This was my second two-night stay since last year. The classic modern atmosphere, spacious and elegant lobby with a touch of seasonal charm, was delightful. This time, I stayed in a standard room. The 6th floor features an exclusive lounge for guests with self-service drinks available all day. It was a very relaxing space, perfect for unwinding outside the room as well. The lounge's comfortable setting made it especially pleasant for elderly guests. The staff's attentiveness and politeness were exceptional, embodying the essence of a traditional hotel experience. Thank you for two days of comfort and relaxation! I only had breakfast during my stay, but the variety of dishes offered was impressive and delicious.

    Excellent location in the heart of the city.

    The parking lot is free and easy to use, and there are also smoking Rooms, which makes me happy. I plan to use it many times in the future. The staff are also very pleasant.

    Espacio Usage

    I stayed at Espacio. After arrival, I used the lounge, but it was average. I had high expectations due to good reviews, but the hot meals were not warm despite the plates being heated. The food was dry and not very tasty, possibly because there were few users. What stood out most was that two staff members were chatting enthusiastically and seemed to be having a great time—more so than any of the 2-3 groups using the lounge. Although they faced forward and spoke in loud whispers, they did nothing but stand and chat during our stay there. Another staff member eventually came to clear plates, but those two left me wondering about their role. Their voices were distracting; perhaps they could chat in a back room instead. When I asked if the soda water was unsweetened, I received a response of "Soda is soda." Even when rephrasing my question about whether it contained sugar or if it was sweetened, they didn’t understand until another staff member stepped in to assist me. For a four-star hotel lounge experience, this became amusing after a while. The turndown service staff was friendly and worked hard but focused excessively on making sharp corners on sheets without clearing or replacing used glasses before leaving—a bit inconvenient. For breakfast, I chose oden; however, it was overcooked and too firm. The bathroom is spacious and user-friendly; however, although it's described as separate bath and toilet areas, it's just divided within one room—making it inconvenient as one person’s bath use prevents toilet access for others. The room itself is spacious and functional but unremarkable overall—neither particularly good nor bad—and offers an ordinary view. Overall impression: just average throughout.

    This was my second stay on the Espacio Floor. Previously, there was no exclusive lounge, and the room layout felt a bit cramped. However, this time, I could check in comfortably while seated, and the IKYU Diamond benefit of a room upgrade was smoothly accommodated. The room was spacious with both a table set and a sofa set, allowing for a relaxing stay. I visited the lounge right away; it had a comfortable design but not too many seats. I wondered if there would be enough seating if all Espacio Floor guests came at once. Luckily, it seemed to be less crowded as it was the last day of a holiday weekend! As someone who enjoys alcohol, I appreciated what they offered along with snacks and sweets—it made for a satisfying lounge experience. Breakfast also had plenty of options to choose from. One disappointment in the room this time was the amenities. I'm not sure if they were intentionally limited or simply forgotten, but for two women staying together, there was only one set each of shampoo & conditioner sets, hairbrush sets, and cotton swab sets provided. On the other hand, toothbrushes, skincare sets, and body wash towels were provided in pairs—was this an effort to save resources? Most accommodations usually provide amenities based on the number of guests staying. Since they offer high-quality items here that I'd like to use individually—it felt like such a shame! Still though—I’d love to come back again someday! Please take care next time!

    An even better Espacio Lounge

    This is a Hotel that excites me every time. This time, I stayed right in the middle of Golden Week, but thanks to the consistently first-class service, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay with peace of mind. Even with many guests, it still felt calm and comfortable. I was worried about parking and came in a smaller car, but that wasn’t an issue either. We were seated smoothly at the restaurant and enjoyed another delicious meal as always. The staff work together seamlessly, and their hospitality and thoughtful attention were excellent again this time. They always welcome us warmly, which makes me want to come back again. Highly recommended.

    Soundproofing is weak.

    Luxurious, excellent hospitality, and top-notch service. The breakfast was carefully prepared with high quality in every dish. However, the sound of doors opening and closing from the adjacent or upper Room was very loud and disappointing. I couldn't sleep at night.

    The service is excellent.

    The service is excellent. The Room is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. However, there were a few mysterious outlets that didn’t seem to work; three locations couldn’t charge devices, including near the kettle and the bed, which was inconvenient. Additionally, having separate bath and toilet facilities would be more user-friendly. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious food and drinks. The stay was pleasant with no hallway noise disturbances.

    Traveling with children, we had a lot of luggage, but everything was kindly carried to our room, allowing us to have a very comfortable stay.     Clean and comfortable.

    Stayed for a dome live event. The simple Room was very clean and provided a relaxing space for a good night's sleep. During my short stay, buying cakes from the Hotel bakery was one of the highlights. My family also looks forward to the delicious bread as souvenirs. Thank you!

    I stayed at the accommodation to prepare a same-day report for a university event and commute early in the morning. I returned the borrowed stapler early in the morning, but it was not communicated, and I was asked about it during checkout. I realized that confirming my name upon return would have been better. Despite it being late at night, you assisted me, allowing me to submit my report successfully, for which I am very grateful.
