Reopened after renovation in July 2024! A peaceful retreat with the majestic Hira Mountain Range behind you and sweeping views of Lake Biwa.

[Review Rating 4.8] Reopened after renovation in July 2024! A quiet retreat with the majestic Hira Mountain Range behind you and sweeping views of Lake Biwa right before your eyes. Our highly acclaimed kaiseki cuisine is carefully crafted dish by dish, featuring blessings from the land of Hira’s famed pure waters, delicacies from Lake Biwa, and carefully selected seafood delivered directly from nearby waters. Guest rooms on the Lake Biwa side offer breathtaking lake views. The large public bath with radium ore water includes a sauna, and two private baths are available free of charge at any time.

  • We stayed here as a couple. The Room was a Japanese-style room where we could relax, and the staff were very courteous, which we truly appreciated. There was information saying the Onsen has radium-rich water that is good for the body, so we went in three times. The meals were so delicious and beautifully presented that we wanted to take photos. We would definitely love to visit again.

  • Right in front is a swimming beach on Lake Biwa, and there was also a nearby place where you can enjoy BBQ. From 7/18, the Hotel will also be offering a kids’ pool.We stayed in a Japanese-style room; the futons were very comfortable, and we also enjoyed the massage chair as a couple. We booked a light kaiseki dinner, and it was satisfying in both quality and portion size. All the staff were pleasant, and with an 11:00 check-out we could take our time the next morning.Thank you very much.

Cuisine: Certified Omi Beef Kaiseki

A desire for guests to enjoy great food

~ It’s a shame to enjoy ingredients only at their “peak season” ~ Each ingredient has its own phases—“first of the season / peak season / lingering season”—and even the same ingredient changes in flavor and best preparation depending on the time of year. For guests staying at our Accommodation, we serve “first-of-the-season,” “in-season,” and “end-of-season” ingredients that can only be enjoyed right now. With the hope of making your dining experience with your companions richer, more enjoyable, and full of lively conversation, we have created our kaiseki cuisine. We promise a delightful culinary experience where you can discover the charm of many seasonal ingredients.

Private bath available for exclusive use

Two private baths available free of charge (no reservation required)

We offer two private baths that guests can use free of charge. No Reservation is required—if a bath is available, you may use it at any time during the hours below. After our renovation, the windows can be opened and closed, allowing you to enjoy an open-air bathing atmosphere. [Hours] 15:00–23:00 / 6:00–10:00 (next morning)

Lake Biwa

Omi-Maiko Beach with crystal-clear waters right in front of you

Right in front of our property lies Omi-Maiko Beach, known for having some of the clearest water on Lake Biwa. The view can be enjoyed from every guest room in the main building. In the evening, you can watch the sun set into the lake, and at night—true to its nickname “Tsukimi Beach”—see the moon floating above and a magical “moon road” shimmering across the calm water. In summer, enjoy swimming in the lake just 10 seconds on foot from here; in other seasons, take a relaxing stroll along the shore.

    Dinner Information

    ■Dinner: “Sazanami Kaiseki” (Light)
The “Sazanami Kaiseki” is based on the concept of “a little of many seasonal ingredients, enjoyed in small portions.”
While keeping the traditional kaiseki course flow, you can savor a colorful variety of ingredients.
Recommended for guests who prefer smaller portions with higher quality rather than volume.

    ■Dinner: “Seasonal Kaiseki” (Standard)
The “Seasonal Kaiseki” is inspired by the concept of “fresh blessings from Omi’s mountains, lake, and sea throughout the four seasons.”
Featuring a well-balanced selection that incorporates the season’s earliest offerings, peak flavors, and lingering tastes, it expresses the atmosphere of each season.
Please enjoy our creative dishes that are not limited to Japanese ingredients alone.

■Dinner: “Omi Beef Kaiseki” (Special Selection)
The “Omi Beef Kaiseki” is created with the concept of “fully indulging in Omi beef.”
We use only top-grade certified Omi beef accompanied by an official certificate issued exclusively for premium cuts.
This is our signature kaiseki course—refined through traditional techniques and an innovative sensibility—to present truly exceptional quality.
