Fratello di Mikuni

This project was born after four years of overcoming various challenges, with the dedicated collaboration of Kamikawa Town, Chef Mikuni & Chef Horikawa, and Gardener Sayuki Ueno & Takano Landscape, to convey the magnificence of the grand scenery of Daisetsuzan and the heartfelt passion of local farmers. The highlands, offering a close view of Daisetsuzan, feature a garden where you can feel the breath of the four seasons, a restaurant showcasing local ingredients, and villas where you can luxuriate in time amidst the forest. Kamikawa Town presents this inspiring space to welcome guests with a renewed sense of hospitality.

Surrounded by lush forests and wildflowers, this land, known as "Kamuy Mintara - The Playground of the Gods," offers the majestic peaks of the Daisetsuzan mountain range and a night sky filled with countless stars. The vast pastures and fields stretching before your eyes are the sacred grounds of farmers who continue to cultivate safe and delicious ingredients daily, preserving and nurturing this land to this day. Fratello di Mikuni opened on July 7, 2013, with the desire to share the breathtaking scenery and the heartfelt dedication of the farmers through exquisite cuisine that can only be experienced in this unique location.

The restaurant's interior is coordinated with Asahikawa furniture products made from locally sourced wood, renowned as world-class, and features rich elements of Hokkaido's natural materials, such as oak and Todo fir wood, as well as a kiln made from Touma's ironstone.

We aim to offer our customers the true taste of Hokkaido in Kamikawa, located in the heart of Hokkaido. To achieve this, we focus on local seasonal ingredients, with all our chefs working together with dedication.
